Baccarat Rouge 540 Scented Hair Mist

This truly makes the fragrance stand out more. A must have for your fragrance wardrobe.

This is the only version of BR540 which doesn’t suffocate me - I can successfully wear it near my face without feeling claustrophobic as well as layer it: either with - perfumes with similar DNA, which I spray behind my knees to live in their cloud, wafts or trail, but not have them in my face all day long; - some sheer fruity perfumes (not fruity-florals) for added sweetness and density (I’m not a huge fan of juiciness in fruit perfumes and this trick manages it for me); - vintage mossy perfumes which I wish to wear for myself on few pulse points (the wrists, the chest) but temper their projection to other people’s noses with some BR540 aura (which overtakes the air and sits there and even travels around rooms, regardless of how thin the concentration is); - or add some BR540 in my hair with some leather perfumes to experience them anew due to the nice contrast. In comparison, I may be paying a bit more for the hair mist concentration, but it’s the personal experience that counts and this bottle does the job to my liking. It also has less potential to annoy others. To all hardcore BR540 users, I’ll advise in favor of the concentrated versions.

I bought the hair mist in order to see if I would enjoy the scent enough to buy the EDP. In the beginning I didn’t enjoy wearing it, it made me nauseous and I immediately had to wash my hair the next day because I could still smell it. Recently I tried it again when the weather was less humid and that is when I fell in love with the scent, the top notes are the most prominent and gives it a unique twist. The woman at the MFK counter said that the hair mist is very similar to the extrait version and this is why it has a different DNA compared to the EDP, so she recommends the extrait version to the people who like the hair mist. So I might invest in the extrait instead of the EDP!

This is a beautiful scent- but it definitely compliments BR540 instead of smelling like it. I sprayed it on my hair in the store while already wearing BR540 from earlier and it smells so good. You can definitely smell the hedione and jasmine stronger here and in that order. The purpose of this product is for people who can't get enough of BR540 but already have that, and wants to enhance the smell. It is not a replacement for the perfume.

I honestly don’t understand all the hate. This is beautiful, smells like the original. Yes, it’s lighter but most hair mists are, and to be fair the EDP is a bomb so it makes sense that the hair mist isn’t as strong. The price is reasonable for an original bottle, it’s a 70ml and again, it’s the real deal, not a dupe. If you’re on a budget like me just get this and maybe layer it with one spray of the EDP if you must, though it’s not needed in my opinion.

Don’t try to cut corners and buy this just to get closer to 540. If your mission is to get 540, but it costs too much at the time, SAVE for it. This is a waste of money because it doesn’t even last 15 minutes in your hair. Think about it, why would they make a high preforming hair mist, it will only decrease their perfume sales. The $85 that you spend on this, can go towards you finally buying the perfume❤️ The same goes for the body oil.

Think Juicy Fruit gum in a fur coat - it's encrusted with sugar and a distinctive fruitiness but somehow manages to keep itself classy. I can't handle the full on, metallic saffron notes in the EDP as they remind me somewhat of that chlorine hit you get when walking into the swimming baths. But they're less prominent here so my hair retains the sophisticated candy floss vibes that I'm definitely craving.

In my opinion, the Hair mist, like the Body lotion does not have the same smell as the perfume. It smells almost like it was gone bad. Very plasticy, even in terms of Baccarat rouge 540. The Body oil is the only "worth the money" product for me, but it also doesn't last long enough or extend the sillage or longevity, wich in my case are only moderate with Baccarat.
