Feminin Pluriel

This is a must buy. I have MFK's B540, Extrait, Grand Soir, Oud Satin Mood, and both Gentle Fluidities, and Feminin Pluriel was one that has quickly risen to my top favorites especially for summer and for work. It has great longevity, it's not a scream queen, it will not radiate off of your body at all times, but you will smell it on yourself throughout the day pretty regularly. I sat in my office for 3 hours and left to get a snack and came back and oh my goodness I thought to myself 'is that what I smell like? is this the scent that others are smelling on me? because WOW!" I have a bunch of candles in my office so I know the typical daily scent in my office, and when I walked in the room smelled like a bright floral sweet almost fairy like scent - I've never smelled this scent even on the days where I wear my B540. The iris is a dream in this fragrance and what makes it unique to the other line up in this house. It's what makes it that 2000's magazine fragrance sample scent that's nostalgic, it's what makes this scent grown up, professional and serious despite the playful, flirtatiousness of the more sweet and floral notes in this fragrance. Playful and Professional is how I think of this fragrance and I love it so so much. I think if this didn't have the staying power that it does I would be upset at the price I paid for the full bottle, but because I can smell it all day I am very content with this purchase. It is one of those scents that can easily be a skin scent depending on the person so always sample. I always validate myself because as a fragrance collector you don't buy perfume just for others to validate, you have to do that yourself and the added benefit is others noticing too - and that happened the first day I wore this to an event outdoors. An acquaintance said that I smelled divine and I agree. This fragrance is an underrated release from this house and is easily overlooked for it's more niche siblings, but do not be fooled, this fragrance is for those who know they're gorgeous inside and out, playful and flirty, but requires respect to be talked to in the first place. She's serious underneath and that's why I love this so much. I'd say it lasts 8 hours on me. I like that it doesn't jump off my skin or clothes because that would make this the headache nausea nightmare that you would associate with Iris 2000's fragrances, which this is not. I consider this my commercial niche daily signature scent, you pay a niche premium for a designer note you likely already have. The reason I justify this is because I do not own any designer fragrances that you'd pick up from a local store, all my fragrances are niche, including this one, which is why I love its commercial appeal because even though it may be common to the designer nose, it is still a tier above in it's unique blend.

It was early spring this year, I was running errands, and all of a sudden I decided to visit my favourite perfumery. One of the sales assistants let me sample "féminin Pluriel". So far I had only tried Baccarat Rouge 540 and 7/24 by MFK and had been only semi-impressed. Previously I had known Francis Kurkdjian from when he still created stuff like "Lady Vengeance" which I got in 2007 and still love - and I just don't get his obsession with too chemical smelling stuff since he founded his own maison de parfum. So my expectations were low... I am in the perfumery, I am having my arm sprayed with féminin Pluriel, and what's this? I am being transported to another world like Jack Skellington in Christmas land, only better. I am hearing some soft pearling flutes (the orange blossom), and then Anna Netrebko and Elīna Garanča start singing "Barcarolle" from "Les Comtes d'Hoffmann". I am enchanted! I am then getting roses, iris and parma violet, and I love it! It's never loud, never screechy (just like Anna's and Elīna's angel voices), just pure bliss and subtle elegance. I get why some people find this too "mature" because especially the Parma violet and the iris give it a powdery touch (not as in baby powder, more as in your elegant aunt's make up on her exquisite dressing table which you were allowed to play on when you were little). Then again, some people like opera and some don't. I am instantly happy. I decide to cycle back home and am driving one-handed most of the time because I can't stop sniffing my arm. Listening to Les Contes d'Hoffmann in my head again, the choir in "Barcarolle" sets in and gives this masterpiece a subtle yet profound backdrop of just the slightest hint of vetyver and patchouli. The beauty of this scent is so breathtaking I want to cry. The longevity is not too good, though. I got myself a decant recently and need to respray after about five to six hours. I will most probably buy a full-size bottle though. I like complicated (not loud) fragrances and edgy ingredients (if well blended); however this is just very easy to wear but I have a feeling that it might complement my fragrance library in a very beneficial way. I don't get why people feel it is generic; I have smelt many generic fruity flowery vanilla waters over the past few years (even from Guerlain - sorry but "Mon Guerlain" and its flankers are just boring AF to me), and this is not generic, at least not to my nose. I don't believe in gendering perfumes but if you do, I am seeing this on the feminine side. "Le temps fuit et sans retour emporte nos tendresses".

A decidedly rare, unusually clean and delicate floral chypre as it reads on my skin. Every single note sings out distinct and pure in this composition, every single note takes a wonderfully positive turn on my skin, and yet, every note is masterfully woven together in a seamless silken blend that is altogether more than the sum of its parts, and an ultra-feminine joy to experience for me. Clean and clear the orange blossom, non-indolic jasmine, and startlingly intense, fresh-green un-wax-like lily of the valley florals herald the joyous opening here with no overdone soap or cleaning products evident. A cool and soil damp regal Iris emerges full force with a delightful shower of non-candied violet petals, swirled through with a crisply moist, just picked Rose de Grasse; the whole composition being impeccably balanced, and absent the overdone carroty powder bomb side effect. The patchouli support here is immaculately vegetal and restrained, adding depth with no tinge of musty-dusty offensive decompositional odor. The vetiver is wonderfully blended so as to bolster things with a hint of the most delicate citric-spicy-woodiness, and cool earthy support. The balance between the vetiver and the patchouli is just flawless in enhancing the refined sensuality of the whole without overwhelming it. The entire scent make me think of strolling through an enchanted fairy forest at dusk with all sorts of little magical creatures glimmering in the shadow. I find that Maison Francis Kurkjian is growing to be my favorite house. So far, I absolutely love everything he has done. Notes that I ordinarily dislike in other perfumes, I find to be clearly present, and yet not only completely inoffensive, but marvelously realized by an astonishingly skillful blending of exceptionally high quality basic ingredients. I’m definitely getting a full bottle of this one, and the scented cream as well.

This fragrance has a CHOKEHOLD on me. I discovered it in the winter season of 2022. Because of the freshness, it can absolutely be worn year-round, but this is so sparkling and dazzling in the colder months. It reminds me so fondly of the watching The Nutcracker with my partner, and going to Pilates classes dressed in pink. I associate this so fondly with pink Christmas. It’s very feminine. If you hate soapy fragrances, run away. To me, it smells very natural and soapy, almost like I’m not wearing perfume but I’m instead smelling like a product of fresh laundry and clean hair. I don’t care if people think it smells generic. I’m not really sure that I would even disagree. It just blends into my skin so well that it’s never too much or too little. The musk is extremely natural and addictive. I’ve had hundreds of perfumes over the years and this is by FAR my most complimented. I work in healthcare (no direct patient contact, but in close quarters with a lot of people) and this is very safe for that setting. Every single time that I wear this, which is about five days a week, I get compliments. Someone told me the other day that it’s just the perfect amount of freshness and not overdone. I have two backup bottles because it’s increasingly more and more difficult to find... I read that it’s because of the lily of the valley being banned in the UK and they’re attempting to reformulate.

I blind bought the refill set and I am disappointed that...I LOVE IT. I knew it was a safe buy since i like clean florals but didn’t want to love it due to that hefty price tag. Now I have to make a dent in my bank account and buy the full bottle. What I like about this scent is that it’s well blended! like a very expensive flower bouquet or a very luxurious spa. I have smelled a lot of floral perfumes and I have never smelt anything similar yet this does smell familiar and comforting. Additionally, it doesn’t give me headaches and sometimes I cannot smell myself (which is great cause most of perfumes make me nauseous) but others can smell this floral goodness whenever i walk by. I have to say that my brother thinks it smells like a nice neutral laundry detergent which is quite true for normal folks but I don’t mind smelling like fresh clean scent. If you want a unique yet clean non-offensive spring scent that follows you everywhere, then this is for you. If you love heavy complex compliment getter scents, then you might want to skip this one.

MFK Féminin Pluriel smells like a dupe of my first love perfume, Ralph Lauren Romance, circa 1999-2005. Romance has since suffered the cruel fate of reformulation in recent years; smells sharply synthetic and awful now. I'm thrilled -- I got back a long lost love. Féminin Pluriel is my new signature. The opening is citrusy, spicy and boozy from the alcohol with a men's aftershave vibe to it. Upon drydown, it opens up with slightly sweet white florals, clean and soapy musks and has a creamy, warm, comforting quality to it. I have both the full bottle and the travel sizes of FP and I do feel like the travel ones have higher alcohol content. The full bottle juice has better longevity in my opinion. I initially had a sample of the full bottle juice and splashed it on my décolletage when first sampling and could smell it quite clearly through the end of day (8 hours). Sillage on this beauty starts out strong, but it becomes a skin scent within a couple hours, which makes this appropriate for anytime wear.

*UPDATE** I just tried Narciso Rodriguez For Her the EDT version on my skin and it's SO similiar! Crazy...If I had known it earlier, i would have bought Narciso Rodriguez instead (where MFK was the nose behind the scent) Gorgeous floral bouquet hugging you with a white musky cloud, which is not too overpowering. I am new to niche perfumery and I love it that it is so wearable, although it might be too boring for some people. Sillage: Medium..enough to wear it outside but not too much that it will slap your colleauges in the office in their face. This scent enters the room with you, not before you and hugs everyone softly around it Longevity: 4-5h, which is ok for my dry skin but not ok considering the price tag Blind buy? if you love powdery cleanish flower bouqets, yes. To me this is very feminine and I enjoy it a lot but I would not buy it again, since I am sure that there are more affordable options out there. Good perfume to start your perfume journey with, which is what I did.

If you like sweet floral, I think this is most likely to be a blind buy safe. A spring morning in a bottle. Great quality for sure. Made me feel like I’m a walking bouquet of beautiful dewy flowers. It’s hard to be moody or aggressive when you have this perfume on. A non-offensive crowd pleaser scent with good silage and longevity. Office appropriate for sure, but not for a ‘boss’ woman. I wouldn’t wear it to work even when I consider myself quite feminine. This is a little too feminine for me to wear to work (the sweet feminine scent I would wear to professional meeting is Beautiful Belle). I would wear Feminin Pluriel to school, on parents meeting day, and feel like the most beautiful mom around. A garden wedding or brunch will do, too, especially when there are not enough flowers around. That’s the vibe for me. Not for all occasion, but a love nevertheless. MFK has never let me down.

This is such a feminine, quiet, intimate fragrance. I've had this in my collection for a few years and have only worn it a few times. Recently I have pulled for it as I have been on an iris kick. I very much enjoy rediscovering the notes after time has passed, a new experience with something I already have. The iris, stands out the most for me. The vetiver and patchouli are very subdued. Floral, slightly powdery. I do not agree that it smells similar to Ralph Lauren Romance. I wore Romance daily for about 10 years and I don't think these are similar at all. Romance is much brighter, while Feminin Plurial is more melancholic. It is hitting the spot for me, weather in the low 70s, foggy mornings, overcast throughout the day...it's perfect for that kind of day and mood. For reference I have the newest version with the gold cap.

It's 7:30 on a Sunday morning. You're out of bed, your hair is slightly tousled, and you're wearing your boyfriend's oversized white button-down shirt that you fell asleep in the evening prior. You open the blinds and are greeted to the sunlight gently creeping through the window into your penthouse studio apartment. The notes imply an earthiness that I don't really detect: on me, it's pure iris, rose, violet, and lily of the valley, with the TINIEST hint of the patchouli. I agree with other reviewers saying it smells like a fancy soap or shampoo—the lily of the valley really imparts a soapy, fresh linen quality that the Fragrantica scent descriptors don't allude to. This is a sophisticated and elegant scent, sure, but it's also the second skin scent for someone with more than a little money to spend.

Ohhh FP, You’re my first MFK love. I remember smelling you on the tissue paper of a cream I bought. I could not afford you yet but when I first smelled you it felt like heaven was aligning with my nose. I was captivated, in love and mesmerized by your beauty. Your cleanliness, your sophistication and your femininity. You are the ultimate spring scent, the ultimate bride scent and I will never not be with you. You’ll always have a special place in my nose, heart and on my perfume tray. When my heart was broken I caved and decided to buy you, it was the glue that put the broken pieces together and will forever be my perfume of consolation. If my house was on fire and I could only take one perfume, it would be you my love❤️ (Review based on the OG formulation and gorgeous rosegold bottle)

Hypothetically, imagine my friend going through a heartbreak while I'm at the florist, burying my nose in a bouquet of carefully selected flowers with pastel-shaded petals. I wonder which ones would soothe her cluttered mind rather than overwhelm her—aren’t her tears enough as they are? But then I get a strong whiff. At first, the vetiver burns my nose, but it's the patchouli's doing. Yet it subsides (way too quick), a door opens, fresh air wafts over, and I'm presented with the presence of this very flowery scent. And it lingers carefully, even an hour later when I hand this bouquet to her and hug her tightly. This fragrance embodies gentleness and care, reminiscent of a woman's touch. Lovely, 6/10 (though way too expensive, it's oh so irresistible)

A bouquet of iris, violet, and lily of the valley. I find this to be absolutely beautiful, however I do love my purple florals. I find a lot of these types of fragrances either contain some type of fruit or musk to balance it out, however, there is none of that here. Just pure, unadulterated floral goodness. With that being said, it does lean a bit soapy — but I also find the violet to cling to my skin and impart this warm, powdered honeyed goodness. The rose notes MFK uses are top of the line and you can tell ... the marginal difference between a bad rose and a fantastic one is the quality of the essence used and his is incredible. I think the name fits the fragrance — very feminine, and this is perfect for spring transitioning into early summer.

Don’t know what the criticism of this fragrance is. 1. it projects arms length and lasts at least 9-12 hours on 3 sprays 2. It’s a HUGE floral bouquet with powdery sweetness throughout 3. Orange blossom, violet, jasmine and iris are the standout notes with a hint of rose It is stronger than Lumiere Noir Pour Femme, A La Rose, and Baccarat Rouge in terms of projection. Perhaps the main criticism if you want to call it that, is the opening is very strong; with a mismash of floral notes which can be both a bit eclectic and powdery. Also, it’s typical of the MFK line which has the “I’ve smelt this before but this is more refined vibe to it.” Longer lasting and stronger projecting than the Masculin version which is an EDT. (Why no EDPs for men!!!)

While at the shop, I smell a la rose and amyris but nothing catches my eye, no wow factor, to basic in my opinion. Then I saw a box behind with name "pluriel" I asked and the BA said it also floral scent but there was no tester. I don't know why, but I feel like I have to buy it even though I can't smell it. and I have no regrets at all! best floral scent from MFK imo. It has fresh floral fragrances such as jasmine, powdery, and linen-y type of scent. no sweet scent at all. more unique and prettiest from all three. longevity is great, more than 6hours i stil can detect the smell, although it's became skin scent 1-2 hours after spray.

It is a bit austere, cold, sharp, bitter and maybe not very noticeable. But at the same time it is not demanding, it is delicate, it does not take away attention from a woman wearing it, for this reason it is most elegant. Maybe it adds a bit of weirdness, a bit of je ne sais quoi feeling as it is not a try-too-hard perfume. This impression is attractive. Notes of iris, violet, rose and lily of the valley all go together, the sharp bitterness fades to a dreamy floral, subtly powdery scent. There is a lot of similarity to Burberry Blush, at least they are in the same category of scents and provide a similar feeling about them. +

As a lover of feminine florals like Estee Lauder Pleasure I'm not surprised that I love this one too. It's fruitier and happier than the notes suggest, though - I would classify this as a fruity floral. I'm surprised about the "old lady"-comments because to me this smells quite young, almost girly - not that I have any problem smelling like "old lady" either. Pleasure is more floral, dewy and pale in comparison, whereas this one has an almost joyful and carefree vibe about it. I'm not sure if it's a little too innocent and "safe" for me to add in my collection, as I already have many fragrances with a similar vibe.

Wow, who would have guessed such a beautiful, 'easy' perfume would prove so polarizing in the reviews! I love, love, love this. I am repeating myself with MFK perfumes, he's a genius for me. I hate girlie scents, I usually go for quirky, dark floral bombs. But this is the only overtly feminine, floral that captured my heart. It's a strong scent but immeasurably light. It's like floating on a glistening cloud on a sunny day. This fragrance is that, and every other corny analogy you can think of, just not in an ironic way. It really does uplift the spirit.

When I looked at the notes, I thought I wouldn't like it. Violet? Iris? Lily of the valley?... I thought it would be outdated, "old lady" perfume that even old ladies wouldn't wear... Boy, I was wrong! This 'old lady' freaking loves it!!! It's the most feminine fragrance I have in my collection by far! It's beautiful, classic, timeless and just downright gorgeous! Flower petals, a touch of patchouli, sprinkle of powder and you have a sexy concoction that will not go unnoticed! Safe blind buy in my opinion, safe purchase as gift. 10/10

Came to know about it through a youtube review and it seemed like my kinda scent so went to check it out, first impression its a soft rosy Chypre scent and reminded me a bit of Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet. Unfortunately it disappeared from my skin super fast, same as Blooming Bouquet, which is not a bad thing for me personally as I like lighter scents and don’t mind re applying every few hours but for such a price, longevity is a must. However it might just be my skin chemistry so yeah. Overall I would give it an 8/10.

This perfume makes me feel very feminine and beautiful and it reminds me of something I knew longer ago and loved. I absolutely can smell strong pear note in the opening. It’s actually like biting into a pear. After a while it becomes an incredibly beautiful floral scent, very gentle, soft and airy, but noticable. I would say this scent is very princessy, but sensual at the same time and different from all of the perfumes I own. Actually I don’t think there are many similar perfumes on the market right now.

I feel like many people overlook other MFK perfumes and only know Baccarat Rouge 540/ Oud Satin Mood. Pluriel is violet/iris on steroids changing the characteristic of rose, making this perfume cold and a bit melancholic. While this is not my favorite perfume from this house, you are guaranteed to have a long lasting high quality perfume as long as it is from MFK. Some people wear baccarat rouge to be enveloped in warmth during winter months, I feel some would wear Pluriel on a grey cloudy day.

Absolutely love this one! I really can’t understand why people would call this one a “grandma” scent. I have an extremely sensitive nose, especially when it comes to perfume. I can not go into some makeup stores without getting wild headaches, and have had a hard time for the majority of all these popular perfumes like Ysl Black Opium, almost all chanel perfumes and so on. This perfume just gave a calm and nice feminine smell. It’s a lovely fresh floral scent, definitely on my top 5 from mfk.

I have both the OG and the new formulation and the openings are very different. The OG was more realistic purple flowers and aldehydes, vs the new one which has a more fruity opening. However, the dry downs are very similar, again, the OG more aldehydic, but they are both beautiful, clean, floral, nostalgic vibes like Pleasures and Romance, but a little more modern and better blended. It’s an easy reach for me as a 34 yo mom who longs to feel fresh, chic and put together. 😅

I sprayed this on without thinking much of it, at first it is a bit soapy and harsh. However within 10 minutes I was addicted to smelling my wrist, this perfume dries down so beautifully. It's a very soft, floral, unique scent which is perfect for a spring/autumn day. It is very "pretty" and "delicate" yet sophisticated. I can imagine a fancy lady wearing this. It has become one of my favourite/ if not my favourite perfume. Scent: 10/10 Longevity: 10/10 Love it!

This fragrance is soooo underrated to me! It's so simple but stunning. The lady who wears this is very classy, so feminine and mature. Its an aquatic, sparkling, powdery, and musky floral. But not too heavy on the florals and very fresh. Timeless and beautiful iris, violet and rose combo. This scent is like maturing from the generic designer floral. Perfect for any occasion especially work and definitely signature scent worthy

Very feminine, very pleasant, soft, floral, fresh but not too "pink", not too "girly". Clean, beautiful, elegant, grown-up floral. Longevity is great. Sprayed it on my sweater in the store in Denver before going to the cabin, and was catching the whiffs of beautiful flower aroma from it for almost a week. Ended up buying the full bottle once I returned. Office-safe, inoffensive, sparkling. Impossible to dislike.

Such a gorgeous and elegant perfume. Like the rest of MFK fragrances, this is extremely refined. I cannot pick up specific notes, but in general it smells like a warm musk with purple florals. Sillage is fitting for the scent profile, not in your face but can pick up whiffs when you move around. Not many perfumes elicit an emotional response out of me, but this one sure does. So so beautiful

A fantastic, sophisticated and young perfume. It evokes spring, beautiful days... a not too feminine Iris, I love violet which makes the essence a little more "mysterious". This is my newest love. It’s fresh, powdery, a little lipsticky and well blended with the cleanest patchouli I have ever laid my nose on. It’s classy and understated. I feel put together and powerful when I wear it and it lasts ALL DAY with strong to moderate projection. If I could only keep one perfume in my collection I think this could be it for its versatility.

Not going to lie, but this is one of my favorite scents. It's stunning! Smells so chic and elegant, and the bottle I mean come on?! LOVE. I wear this in the office sometimes and it's not offensive at all - sometimes I get wafts of the floral bouquet that smells powdery but not in a baby powder kind of way. Lasts a good 7+ hours on me.

You know that moment when you realize that instead of buying 3 perfumes you could have just bought one... This perfume is my new acquisition and I am lost for words. It’s a soft floral with a pastel palette. It’s not heady or generic or synthetic. Everything inside this bottle smells like quality. Worth every “scent”

My first MK parfum, I still love it. A clean but sophisticated fragrance, anything but not trivial. Upgrades you to the next level. It turns heads, it makes you stand out, but it's not the kind of perfume that everyone could wear. Almost an intelectual type of smell, if this make any sense at all.

I don't have a lot to wax poetic about here other than to say this is probably my favorite floral fragrance of all I have tried over the past several years. Just a great all around pick for when I need to feel clean & classically feminine, for any season or time of day.

Clean, floral, soft, powdery and very feminine. It may seem simple or linear to some, but it is undoubtedly lovely. In fact, it reminds me of both Lovely and Kenzo Flower. Great staying power - i could still smell it on myself and my clothes the next day.

Just smelled this at Neiman Marcus. A beautiful, soft floral, with staying power. Perfectly balanced, just sweet enough, just floral enough, a little woodsy. Perfect for summer. It's officially on my want list at #1. MFK has done a fabulous job... again.

I love this one. I first smelled it in the MFK boutique in Paris and fell in love. It’s a smooth, rich but fresh floral that manages to have a presence yet also remains delicate. Great lasting power on my skin. Francis Kurkdjian is a masterful perfumer.

I try it in a cool, rainy day at the mountain. On my skin it smells like wild flowers.I don't like violets but in this fragrance they are perfectly mixed with other notes. I don't feel this fragrance like soapy ot powdery. On my skin is clear and soft.

Pluriel and Almyris are my favorite. I noted that golden letters on the bottles are coming off, I wanted to ask if anyone has had the same experience? I purchased my bottles on eBay and I am speculating whether I did not end up with fake products?

This fragrance sparkles, it's fresh and bright from the beginning to the end. It's got soapy scent and i do think it smells like my favorite Lux soap in the past. I live in a tropical part of the world, this one might perform well in that weather.

At first spritz, all I get is pear and it is delightful! I can’t believe pear is not listed in the notes at all. Then a gorgeous floral, so well blended. Feels like being in a beautiful breezy room full of flowers. Perfect for every day wear

This is just lovely. The violet note is getting me here. I just love violet in perfumes. Several other florals round this out with a base of vetiver and patchouli. It's very soft, but sweetly intoxicating. Definitely FBW.

Smells like a kept woman whose married for a living! A very sophisticated bouquet of flowers that’s just a timeless beauty. This isn’t one of MFK’s popular offerings and I don’t understand why as it’s so gorgeous!

Tried 11 ml sample and can't stop sniffing my wrist with giddy glee. Rich, soft, feminine, and good sillage. Negotiate with yourself about the higher price tag if it's a bit of a barrier for purchase.

Ahhh , this one are amazing . Very feminine , soft and comforting . Safe blind buy . There is some similarity between this gem and Juliette Has A Gun Liquid Illusion . Love Iris & Violets . 9/10 .

Amazing smell, very fresh and bright, but I have more cheap Parfums more long lasting than this. Sad for this ,but anyway is pleased to got it

This is outstanding. It doesn't get any more feminin than this. I can detect all the notes. Nothing overpowers the other.
