Gentle Fluidity Gold

5/19/26 *Important note*— I forgot to mention this. Before 2025, bottles of GFG I purchased would turn purple-purplish brown after about 10-12 months. However, my most current bottle (bought on the MFK website about 11 months ago) hasn’t darkened at all so far. Incredibly, my 2025 bottle has only acquired a “barely there” pinkish color. This means something has changed in GFG’s formula. My personal experience of the juice in my current bottle is that it’s perhaps a bit less rich. It’s still completely lovely, of course, but... by nose, I can tell the current formula is just a little less dense. It’s not a significant change, and certainly not enough to be put off. The scent is less heavy now (people who may have felt the earlier formulation was too syrupy sweet may actually prefer the current formula) and performance, while still good, is now solidly moderate. This may account for why there’s a rise in disappointment with current price vs performance. 4/30/26–To any persons disappointed in the performance of GF Gold— Fragrance quality/performance and price don’t always match. In fact they often don’t! — Sometimes you pay mere pennies for a frag that’s astounding in scent and performance, other times you pay over a quarter of your monthly mortgage for a frag that’s greatly lacking in one or both areas. In the case of luxury niche houses like Maison Francis Kurkdjian, the fragrances are made with the highest quality of ingredients and aroma compounds, and utilizing the very latest techniques in high perfumery. That, plus advertising/marketing, packaging ect. are all very expensive. Add in high demand, and it all reflects in the final price of the product. Now. Gentle Fluidity Gold has a moderate to slightly above moderate performance, but because the fragrance is so gentle in character, it’s a bit stronger in projection and longevity than your nose may perceive. GF Gold’s strongest presence is during the first 2 hours of about 5-6 hours of total performance (though depending on skin type, some may experience longer or shorter). Projection is within arms length for about the first hour-hour and a half. GF Gold has more presence and staying power than its soft scent may lead you to believe. To overspray and/or reapply too soon is financial murder on your wallet. It’s also olfactory warfare, if not to your nose due to musk anosmia, then to everyone else’s noses around you. So just relax with it. This is a beautiful composition that communicates with whispers rather than a loud holler... and given the sweetness of it, I think that’s probably by design. The musk Francis Kurkdjian uses in creations like GF Gold and Kurky isn’t the typical laundry type. It’s smooth as silk, giving these fragrances a uniquely elegant character—warm and softly radiant. Overpriced? Yes, quite likely! But!—you don’t have to pay the full retail price. Heck, I haven’t payed the full retail price for my MFK fragrances for some years now. The ones I covet most have been in circulation long enough to be very available on other reputable sites. Between decant sites, Jomashop, Fragrancenet, and friends/reliable points of contact on this site and Mercari, I can almost always obtain luxury niche frags at more reasonable prices. Personally, I don’t do Ebay or Amazon for fragrance anymore, and I strongly recommend abstinence from buying high end fragrances from them...been burned one too many times on those two sites😬 Oh!— the natural vanillin in GF Gold oxidizes, turning your pale juice to purple over time. If you’re able to hang onto your bottle long enough, the juice inside will eventually settle into a dusky purple. This doesn’t take away from the fragrance at all.

Upon testing this with a different bottle (I went noseblind to it the past 3-4times I tried it instore with the same bottle) it decided to show itself and wow this scent is magnificent, honestly a close 2nd favourite MFK only to Grand Soir. It opens up with a smooth and invigorating patch of Juniper and Musks on my skin, that seamlessly transition within a few minutes into a creamy vanilla with smooth musk at the forefront, with a sweet Caramel very prominent in the back with the smallest yet noticeable tinge of nutmeg spice to make the scent more interesting and memorable. This is what core of the fragrance is, and contrary to what a lot of other people seem to get on their skin, on mine personally the ambers arnt that prominent and are seamlessly blended with the Caramel and the Vanilla making its quite hard to discern their potency but they're definitely there. Some would say this scent is Linear but I wouldn't necessarily agree, as calling a scent "Linear" usually has a negative connotation with its simplicity, but in this fragrance, (and many of MFK's other fragrances, even the ones that arnt my jam), Kurkdjian excels at making smooth and simplistic yet intriguing and likeable scent profiles (for the most part), and this is no exception, it may not have as much depth as some would like it to but I feel like that's more of an issue one would have with the Perfumery style of Francis Kurkdjian than this fragrance itself; this is sweet, intriguing, smooth, and very much likeable while retaining a level of depth that a lot of other fragrances in this category either don't have, or if they do the quality isn't always up to scratch from my experience. In terms of projection I get a soft-medium projection which is perfect for me since I personally prefer medium or softer medium projecting fragrances most of the time, and this projection doesn't really die down a noticable amount on my skin for around 5 or so hours which is impressive, and as for Longevity I get around 6 hours with it being barely noticeable up to 8 or so hours. Wearability wise I feel like this is an excellent daily driver, I love this and I alsl Love Grand Soir a great deal but it's relegated to very cold days since on my skin it becomes an unwanted beast whenever it gets even a little warm, however, this is very much suited for formal and casual outings or occasions and I'd even say it could be worn on cooler summer nights and/or days lest it be too cloying. A lot of people bellow me and overall seem to think this is a female or feminine leaning scent profile which I can understand an argument for, but to me as a guy this is perfectly unisex, just because it lacks any key masculine notes doesn't implicitly mean it's feminine and as a guy I'll rock this on many an occasion. Lastly to touch on the pricing I personally feel like with my local retailer that stocks it ($223AUD for 35ml and $358AUD for 70ml), it is reasonably priced, as stated earlier, Not every fragrance needs to be strong or nuclear projecting, and the projection and longevity in this Fragrance are acceptable(or even ideal) for what it offers, after all you're paying for the scent itself and the quality, not an aura of pungency, I personally prefer to smell great for 6 hours than oppressive for 10 or 12. In conclusion it's a beautiful scent and masterpiece by Francis Kurkdjian in my humble opinion, and it's easily being included into my full bottle roster later down the line, definitely happy that I never gave up on it and tested it again. Final Verdict as of the moment: 8.5/10

I smelled this today in London’s Selfridges & instantly really liked it. It’s sweet warm powdery and a tad herbaceous (juniper). It reminds me of if Ariana Grande Love Notes Vanilla Suede & Dior’s Hypnotic Poison had a baby & upscaled their life, sent their kid to private school & got a posh swanky multi million dollar property on the Upper East Side of Manhattan... this would be it. There’s restraint & control exercised in this which makes it more wearable in a variety of occasions, it doesn’t scream nor is it obnoxious & shout for attention. I rather like it. Now, I did read a comment that the forementioned Love Notes perfume smells very close to this & I have to agree I would consider Love Notes to be a dupe. They’re not identical but they are very similar, which is what’s making me pause a moment on pulling the trigger to buy a bottle of Gentle Fluidity Gold - I own Love Notes & it costs pennies compared to MFK GFG. I get more projection out of Love Notes than I do with GFG, which is not always a bad thing, but if you are looking something that strongly projects; I would look elsewhere. UPDATE: Sun 27th April 2025 I’ve bought a 35ml bottle of this & I have to say I love it. There’s a similarity to love notes by Ariana Grande; it’s sweet warm vanillary & a little powdery. However, where Gentle Fluidity Gold (GFG) differs is that it’s more Juniper berry gin without the alcohol, piney-caramel w a shot of cool fresh air. It’s more complex & well composed. I take what I said back previously, this project wells (it’s not a beast or intrusive) but it rather calmly & confidently holds its own on your skin, on your clothes and the intimate surrounding area of your body. GFG balances warmth, sweet, fresh, clean & complexity perfectly. It’s masterpiece & I’m so glad I got it. Lastly, love notes can be seen as a dupe but it’s not identical, it’s v similar & just as good in projection, smell & lasting power but there’s something about GFG that has me in a chokehold; yet I don’t want to quit it. I can’t quit it. I won’t quit it.

oh this is INCREDIBLE! the very funny way I got introduced to this was ChatGPT. asked AI for a fragrance for an upcoming trip and one of its suggestions was this. went to a store to try and even though I read noone describe this scent like so, for me it straight up smells like "very warm milk with lots of honey". it immediately took me back to the cozy winter memories of my childhood of almost 30 years ago. seeing my brothers in cute and plush pyjamas when it would snow outside. I didn't buy it for more than a month, but even trying it once made it stay in my mind that whole time. and yesterday I went back and tried it again, having prepared to purchase a bottle this time. and indeed, 5 hours later, I was still adoring this scent. went back in and got me a 70 ml size. I am someone who gets bored of scents quickly and never thought I could make one my signature. but this is definitely signature worthy. the way it reminds me of "warm milk with honey" isn't backed up by having any lactonic side to it. but I don't mean that in a lactonic sense either. its just how it comes off to me every single time, without a prominent lactonic tone. it's just the warmth and sweetness is what makes me feel like this smells like warm milk with honey. it is such a feminine and lovely scent, I'd LOVE to be associated with this by everyone when my time on earth ends. I'd love for people who know me to say "she used to smell this charming, this feminine and warm" and knowingly or unknowingly to them, actually be talking about this fragrance. like a warm hug by their "always dolled up-in a classy way- friend/family". yesterday was the first day this scent has officially entered my life. I look forward to the memories we'll make together. longevity: 7.5-8/10 on me. 5-6 hours later, it's still there on my skin without any layering product complexity and refinery: 10/10 overall: 10/10

Resinous Malty Vanilla... This review is for the Julianna's Perfume dupe of Gentle Fluidity Gold MFK called, "Liquid Gold". I just have a sample of this, but In the initial spray I get a bit of juniper berry with a hint of spice, but underneath the malty, resinous vanilla & amber are already swelling through. At this stage it reminds me a little of Dama Bianca Xerjoff. As it's drying down there's a passing phase of coriander with it's fresh-spicy & hints of citrus nuances, but make no mistake, this isn't a coriander scent, and coriander here is still layered over that malty vanilla which is the dominant chord. Contrast to Intense Cafe Montale: These are different, but the base of malty, resinous vanilla-amberwood/ambroxan is very similar. Intense Cafe has the coffee and rose, while Liquid Gold has the juniper & coriander. Roughly equivalent performance. Contrast to Velvet Gold Orientica: These are the most similar imo, both being dupes of Gentle Fluidity Gold MFK. The juniper is a little more forward in Liquid Gold. Both have excellent performance. Overall: Fits the name well; performance is excellent. This is a love for me, 10/10. Enjoy!

This is my favorite perfume of all time. I first got it 3 years ago, and to this day I am obsessed. Like, can't stop sniffing my arm every few minutes obsessed. I want to bathe in this and will probably be buried it. Whenever I don't know what to wear, I reach for this one. It is SO versatile. On me, it projects well and lasts 6-8 hours on skin, longer on clothing (usually until the next wash). At the same time, it is soft, angelic, and airy which makes it inoffensive and good for quite literally any occasion. I have worn this to work, interviews, on nights out with friends, first dates, and special occasions. I always bring a sample with me when traveling because it is so dependable. It genuinely makes me feel like my best self. Sensual, confident, approachable, and put together. I have a ton of fragrances in my collection and am always sampling, but nothing has ever come close to how good this is. I love her so freaking much. I am so passionate about this perfume. So, if you are looking for an elevated, cozy, luxurious, silky, slightly spicy vanilla musk fragrance...... definitely definitely get a sample!

I recently acquired a few of the Maison Francis Kurkdjian "unisex" scents: Gentle Fluidity Gold and Grand Soir. I realize that in 2025, traditional "gender norms" are no longer rigidly enforced when it comes to how we express ourselves and present ourselves to the world. I think that's great; men can wear makeup and dresses and still be men; women can reject tired tropes of femininity and still be seductive women. That being said, I'm fairly certain my nose is a traditionalist. Sadly. We all know scents do not have a gender. Who said the smell of a rose was feminine and the smell of cedar masculine? It really is in how we personally interpret it. To my nose, these have clear-cut definitions. Gentle Fluidity Gold is definitely femme to me. It smells like Grand Soir's little sister. I don't know how else to explain it. The vanilla is lovely; I do not smell the juniper or nutmeg at all. I smell vanilla and caramel and it's quite sweet, which is what I think I'm interpreting as very feminine. Wish it lasted longer and projected longer, but it's so classy and vintage.

I adore this fragrance with all my heart. It feels like my other half and a love that will stay with me for a very long time. It’s incredibly soft, sensual, gentle, and comforting. At the same time, it’s anything but simple—it’s multifaceted and mysterious. What captivated me the most is the way its softness coexists with quiet confidence. The vanilla and caramel sweetness is delicate, never overwhelming. To me, it feels like flowing gold—noble, warm, and luminous. One thing I truly love is that there are no abrupt transitions from the opening to the drydown. It doesn’t jump from one stage to another—it simply flows and lives on the skin. There is so much air and space in this fragrance. It’s like a second skin, always with you but never demanding attention. This isn’t a fragrance that tries to make a loud statement. It’s one that leaves a lasting impression. I highly recommend experiencing it, even if only once.

Mmmmmm!!! Yum-Yum-Yummy! My most recent order of a 2.4oz bottle of GFG (from a long time friend and trusted vendor on Mercari) is much closer to the “pillar” formulation, which I have only about 1/4 of an old bottle left of. Proof— 1. The box the bottle was housed in is an older version (hello old friend😄) - a solid box with the bottle in a “drawer”. Newer boxes have a gold foil paper fold over that opens up right to the bottle. 2. The juice came right out of the box already a lovely dusky lavender color. I’m beyond happy!🥰🥰🥰 Again— to address any concerns about longevity, I promise this fragrance lasts longer than you think. As it ages and the vanillin in it oxidizes, the scent deepens. Even new (light yellow color), GFG projects and leaves a subtle trail for the first hour or so, then pulls back into a close scent bubble for approximately the next four hours.

Let me begin by saying whilst I appreciate the art of silver fluidity, I wouldn’t wear it. I’d go as far as suggesting I dislike it. That reflects my disdain for the key notes and how it dried down like Green Irish Tweed. Gentle Fluidity Gold is stunning. Maison Francis Kurkdjian is an absolute artist. How he managed to take the same notes and develop two completely different fragrances that lay at either end of my olfactory appreciation distribution is beyond me to understand. I suspect sorcery. Gentle Fluidity Is smooth, sweet and more complex than any simple fragrance I’ve encountered. Amber takes a back seat to what is essentially a spiced gin and tonic, but remains warm. How is this possible? Juniper isn’t warm. Gin and tonic isn’t sweet. I am constantly challenged by Maison Francis Kurkdjian and I love him for it. Remarkable.

This is a beautiful, creamy, slightly spicy and elegant, feminine perfume. It is comforting and relaxing. It is super well blended and very smooth. I was concered the juniper berry could be too strong, but it is not. It is delicate and gives it a slight aromatic quality. It is a hot day today, so I am curious to see how it performs in cooler weather, but it seems very suitable for all seasons. It does remind me of my beloved Xerjoff K'bridge as it shares the smoothness, light spiciness (the coriander), and elegance, but K'bridge is a rose perfume. I can't stop smelling my wrists. Although I wish it was stronger (is the heat affecting its performance?), this is going straight into my top 5 🤍💛 Update: I wanted to update my review just to say that I am absolutely obsessed with this fragrance! Beware. This is just gorgeous 😍

Gentle Fluidity Gold is a such a delectable twist on vanilla. If you're expecting a gourmand, you'll be sorely disappointed. This scent's a little spicy, a little powdery, a little musky, and a lot delicious. To my nose, vanilla is not the most prominent note. I get an almost pine-like aroma from the juniper berries, the earthy woodiness of the coriander, a touch of butterscotch, then resinous amber with hints of patchouli and (finally) vanilla. I like this one more than BR540 (blasphemy, I know!). It's warm and inviting and heady. I reach for it most in the cooler months. I agree with other reviewers who said to let this fragrance hang out for a while. I just bought a new bottle with gold juice and am waiting for the purple to make an appearance. Leans femme, but confident dudes can absolutely wear it too.

Fresh, clean rose- like someone who just showered with a high end rose scented soap sitting across from someone eating a dish of vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce. This is not a gourmand- the caramel/vanilla notes are barely perceptible and just add a slight sweetness. It's strange that rose isn't a note here, because on me, it's the most dominant note. I don't get any juniper or coriander here, and the powder isn't really prominent either, but gives it a clean feeling. The first time I tried it, I thought it reminded me of Byredo Slow Dance (which I think smells like Portrait of a Lady), but trying them both together, Slow Dance is much more powdery with a vintage dusty feel. GFG is fresher (but still soft and feminine) and more modern. It's a very well-blended, classy smelling perfume.

At the very start, the fragrance greets you with a gentle spiciness, the spices feel soft, delicate and exquisitely refined👌🏻. The scent feels very cohesive, for me, there’s no separation into individual notes, everything is woven into one smooth seamless accord. Sweet nuances blend beautifully with the spicy facets, creating a warm, cozy and enveloping aura. The fragrance feels like a soft blanket that wraps around you and soothes, while still retaining an air of elegance and sophistication. For me, this is a truly unique fragrance! Harmonious and wonderfully comforting, as if created for those moments when you crave coziness, tenderness, and that very feminine softness in its tone. Longevity on my skin is 10 hours+ and throughout those ten hours I can smell the fragrance quite distinctly.

It’s funny because I usually have a bit of an issue with MFK’s line of perfumes, there’s a certain artificial quality that jumps out at me for whatever reason so I tend to avoid his work. But this is just gorgeous. If champagne and vanilla had a baby this is what it’d smell like. Would be perfect as a signature scent, as I can see this working all year round and suiting a variety of occasions. Smells like quiet luxury, and gives off an understated confidence and femininity. It also lasts a decent amount of time, though it definitely isn’t a powerhouse fragrance. Every time I smell this I think of wearing a sparkly and elegant dress while attending the opera. Very feminine and sophisticated — overall just the most beautiful fragrance.

I'd gatekeep this perfume If I could. It's not too mainstream so you would stand out amongst a crowd without people instantly recognizing baccarat. For it's price, I believe it's worth it. It exudes luxury and smells expensive. When I bought this and applied it, I thought to myself, this is how a real perfume smells like. Unlike most mainstream brands of perfume, it's quite unique. Yet it's not overpowering or sharp. like baccarat. It flows gently, like the name suggests. I found it much easier on the nose compared to baccarat. Very long lasting and great sillage. Feels similar to arabian perfumes but not as strong. If you apply 3-4 sprays, people will likely smell it from 3-5 feet away.

I smelled this perfume first a few years ago on one of my old colleagues, then smelled it earlier last year at a retail location-- and all I can say is that it truly has never left my mind I finally got a bottle for Christmas last year, and finally I can rest on a true authentic signature scent! it's such a creamy vanilla with an extremely rounded out base of musk that works to keep the fragrance light and perfect for any occasion. It starts off powdery but settles very gently and is perfect for every season in my opinion. I mostly wear this at the office or to class lectures, and I always get compliments. I really love this and it is quite long lasting without giving me a headache.

I fell head first in love with this fragrance. It opens a bit spicy but thennnnn oh girl, you let her cook for a minute and the dry down is EVERYTHING 👏 I 👏 LOVE 👏 ABOUT 👏 A 👏 PERFUME 👏!!! It’s warm and sexy. You can wear a spritz and it’s perfect for warm days but add a spritz on your belly and neck and she’s ready for the night!!! It’s safe for any occasion and it’s easy to pick up and wear with zero thought. It was honestly worth every scent 🪙 (hehehe) and plays well with others as well. I layer it often with florals like delina, freshies like another 13, and even other vanillas like vanilla 28. Literally anything. She’s that girl for me

When I first tried the 2 ml sample, it had a very sharp and cloying opening. It smelt almost nauseating. A year later, the liquid had turned purple, and the scent transformed into something heavenly: soft vanilla, amber, caramel, and a powdery sweetness. I decided to buy a full bottle, and it has finally started to turn into a light purple (about 3 months), and the beautiful powdery vanilla warmth has returned. Now it’s elegant, balanced, and truly signature scent worthy. This complex vanilla shines year-round: it’s airy enough for summer yet cozy with nutmeg and caramel for winter. Just be patient and let it mature.

A friend of mine gave me the travel size of this fragrance and I was immediately obsessed. He said it was too feminine for him and I agree, the notes do swing softer and more clean-sensual. It does remind me of gold when I smell it, however I wish he didn’t take the “gentle” part so literally. I don’t find this fragrance to last all day, however, I do smell it again when I get in the shower. That lets me know it’s a god spring and summer fragrance, best worn in the heat, and that I’m probably experiencing the same nose blindness that people experience with BR540. Overall, a great day fragrance for everyday wear.

These reviews are insane lol. In one breath someone calls it beautiful then proceeds to say how boring it is, ending the review with their dislike for it? Then claims that because they don’t like it, anyone else who wears it couldn’t possibly like it either- basically we’re only wearing it because we care about what other people think we’re wearing. 🙄 what a strange thing to imply considering how subjective all things scent/fragrance related are. Anyway, I’m absolutely in love with this, it’s the most beautiful, non gourmand vanilla with the perfect amount of juniper, spices and musk.

A musky masterpiece, as the name suggests everything about this is gentle. It's perfectly blended. It lasted 12 hours on me and I caught small whiffs of it on my pillow the next morning. I wore it to a job interview and I truly felt like that b the whole time. It's cozy without being cloying. GFG is waking up in the afternoon in an expensive hotel with lover's hands gently holding you. The sun is warming your skin gently beaming through the window. You drink a perfect coffee in your silk gown with your skin still damp from the shower. 100/10

Don’t listen to people this perfume is very very good ! At first when I bling bought it i couldn’t smell it at all but as days goes by the smell has become amazing magical ! I have 30 + perfumes and it’s in my to 5 best perfumes ! I bought the 70ml and I will repurchase the bigger bottle if I run out of this one! Best perfume ever don’t listen to negative reviewers!!! To my nose it’s sweet and a little boozy ! It is so good it’s unisex too my son use it and the sillage when he wears it! He smells so good !!! I just love this perfume !

Fell into the baccarat hype when i first got into niche and decided to explore the brand some more when I stumbled across this beauty. Love at first sniff.. There isn't one moment of this perfume from initial spray to dry down that I don't absolutely love. It became my signature scent since the moment i got it.. its one of the only perfumes ive bought in the biggest 6.8 oz size because i LOVE it so much and it just gets better with age! she will quite literally always be with me.. no seriously i will repurchase till the day i die.

I'm a fan of this vanilla forward fragrance. Typically, vanilla fragrances can go plastic or overwhelming on me. GFG is light but powerful. The warm skin and creamy woods ground that vanilla essence. The botanical lift from the coriander and juniper provide a dimension that makes this more interesting. It's a natural sweet that doesn't come off too powerful but it is a long lasting and strong projecting fragrance on me. I love the duality in the composition, it's artistic. I would say it's mass appealing with a twist.

A stunning smelling vanilla, unfortunately does not last long unless I layer her with brown sugar babe creame de le creame body oil, I worn her today all by herself to realise what the reviews are saying is true, I have only owed her for 5 days and the liquid is light in colour, I will be putting her away for a few months! no one thinks she smells like a extra lighter version of jo Malone scarlet poppy intense? Edit: also layers beautifully with L’occitane the almond range especially the body oil and shower oil.

I LOVE gentle fluidity gold. It's a very beautiful and elegant vanilla. I usually don't like powdery scents but this one is perfect, its not too powdery and makes me feel beautiful when I wear it. I don't agree with the mature and grandma comments on some reviews. It's not mature at all but more so elegant. A girl in her 20s could absolutely pull this off. The dry down reminds me a bit of Kayali Vanilla 28, it has a similar ambery vanilla drydown, but more sophisticated and pretty. It smells expensive.

One of a few sweet scents that doesnt induce a migraine for me. I tested this few days ago even though it has been popular for a long time now, i really loved it, it is not groundbreaking and super unique but it is a very well balanced vanilla scent, which for me usually i find it really challenging to come across, it is very sweet and feminine, soft, yet not cloying or cheap.. if you are usually into musky scents, and want a calm sweet scent you should definitely try it out!

For those that say this fragrance is basic - I'd say you just don't like MFK perfumery. In my opinion, MFK is excellent at creating simple, well blended fragrances that are smooth and elegant. GFG is my wife's current daily. I can tell you projection is 5-6 feet for first two hours and is detectable still at 6-8 hours. "Pleasant" is the word that comes to my mind when smelling it on her, a sweet vanilla sillage that isn't heavy. Give it a sample on your skin! 9/10

I can’t stop singing this fragrance’s praises. Fortunately, I experience no dank urine, as some reviewers have posted. If I have one slight complaint about Gentle Fluidity Gold, it’s that in the first 8-10 minutes after applying, it’s sweetness can remind me a bit of grape soda😄 But that isn’t really a complaint (after all, I love grape soda) and even if it were, it’s only 8-10 minutes! Then it’s gorgeous vanilla, subtle spice and warm soft musk. Sheer heaven.

This is what I expected Grand Soir to be. A beautiful gourmand with this amber that is the best I have ever smelt. However, mine is macerated, it is a light purple color. The amber in this is just oh my god, so amazing. The scent itself leans more feminine, and I personally wear it. No matter if they double or triple the price of this, it will always be a staple in my collection. The projection and longevity and great too, around 8+ hours. 9.5/10

i feel lucky because i can smell the juniper berries and nutmeg in this, and that’s what makes it so special to me. warm vanilla, caramel, juniper berries, and nutmeg, in that order. i saw someone comparing it to honey and it definitely has a honeyed aspect to it. fantastic for cold weather. i do think it leans slightly femme but i would LOVE to smell this on a man. it’s delicious and needs no layering. it reminds me of the holidays.

An easy reach and a deep and abiding love for this one. Sophisticated and boldly feminine. This fragrance is the cool girl who is always pulled together but approachable and will spritz you with her purse spray after you tell her you love how she smells. Vanilla but not gourmand, musk but not too powdery, juniper but not too cloying. Perfect combination for any season, anytime of day, any occasion. Familiar and yet still unique.

This is just.... wow. This is so close to being my wedding perfume. When I want to feel like a luxe heiress I go for this scent. It is a relatively strong vanilla, but with a crisp fruitiness from the juniper berry and coriander. Beautifully balanced, airy, sweet, soft and feminine. Wearing this with anything other than formal wear is criminal in my book. Hands down my favorite from MFK, right next to Baccarat Rouge 540.

I love this fragrance. No, it’s not a “wow” fragrance, but I don’t think it’s meant to be. It’s a signature scent for me. It’s soft, comforting vanilla. But not a heavy gourmand vanilla. Which is why I love this. I think there is something about this that brightens it up a bit. The coriander? Juniper Berries? Idk. But to me, this is just beautiful in the warmest way possible. A welcome home type of scent.

If you wear this and you're a girl.... you'll have everyone going crazy over you. Holy smokes, I am a guy and am contemplating buying this for my future wife it's that good. I showed this to girls and they didn't get the hype but when I showed this to other dudes they were all like "DAMN THAT'S SEXY". Just a beautiful, cozy, seductive, scent that whisps in the air with a sparkly finish. Love it

this perfume is such a interesting experience for me. i've heard people saying there's some sweetness in this, idk if it's because of my skin but it's more of a sharp perfume to my nose. i wasn't sure if i loved it at first but really liked the dry down. it's def not a safe blind buy. i recommend spraying it on your skin before buying!!

I’m not the biggest fan of sweet scents, so that rules out most of the vanilla based scents on the market for me, but this is divine! She’s not overly sweet, doesn’t smell like a 12 y/o girl, projects beautifully and lasts a great amount of time. One of the best vanilla fragrances out there for women. Hands down.

I would say this smells like the perfect vision of a department store — but only the good things about the department store. The sparkling display cases, the high end labels, the bright lights. I think it’s almost too generic for my collection, but I love the designer feel and glitz of this.

This fragrance is a beautiful caramel vanilla and amber scent it’s very classy, elegant and sophisticated when you wear this perfume you will smell and feel so luxurious literally the longevity is good the projection could be better sadly but no worries I’m very pleased with this scent!

This is a nice, sweet, musky nutmeg/vanilla with faint hints of juniper berries and a little spice from the corriander .... however it’s barely detectable and it sits incredibly close to the skin. Maybe it will perform better in summer heat.

An absolute masterpiece. It is the single most refined and airy vanilla fragrance I’ve ever smelled... It definitely has presence, but is still subtle enough to be worn in any occasion or season. Extremely elegant, a silent statement.

Gold is beautiful, so feminine, sweet but so well balanced. Incredible sillage and longevity. Another masterpiece from MFK. I own 11 of his fragrances and this could easily go into top 3

Gentle, soft, divine. It blows my mind that a soft whimsy perfume can at the same time have such an impact, that's what makes this perfume so incredible. It's quietly addictive.
