Absolute love from first try! Coup de foudre for sure. This is beyond what I would have expected from the MFK brand, but I just can not help but fall in love with this scent. I was waiting for something beautiful from this house, something that I would crave to buy and have and cherish just as I did years ago when I first tried Baccarat. All those new releases from this house APOM, 724, aqua line... did not make me excited to the point I was going to bed thinking and dreaming about a scent. I am so happy that the spark is back and finally, I am wide awake at midnight because I can not stop thinking about this perfume - Kurky. I first tried it in a boutique and in the split second... NOSTALGIA. Straight to my heart, something familiar, something lovely, something deep and emotional. I think if you were born around the early 90's this could feel very nostalgic. I am not surprised this scent is from a childhood of the perfumer himself - Mr. Kurkdjian. There is something familiar and distinct about this scent that puts you right back to the days when you were just a kid. It is not a sexy, opulent and luxurious, or voluptuous scent. It is heartbreakingly beautiful, absolutely beautiful and something devine, something you want to keep for yourself, something that you want to cherish. An incarnation of pure love, some moments in life that you keep to yourself deep in your heart and go on to face the world. What an amazing scent.... Aside from my emotions, this is not your typical fruity scent, there is something very distinct about it. It is not harsh or zesty but feels just a bit powdery and just a tiny bit sweet. Musk here is like a skin scent, not harsh and medicinal but very much skin-like. And this skin scent is complemented by fruity notes so so well it's just perfection to me. Whomever rates longevity as weak probably hasn't even tested the scent. The longevity is great! I have tried this perfume several times now, and every time I could smell it all day, I put this on my hair, and my hair smells like this scent till I wash it. On clothing it stays and projects perfectly fine - a lovely aroma bubble, those around you can truly detect the scent. So don't be fooled by the rating. Longevity and sillage ar great! Thank you, MFK, for bringing the spark back!!! This scent brings so many emotions! I love love love wearing it! 100000/10!!! Bravo!

**Edit: Now that I've had time with it, it's stronger than I thought. Maybe just needs time on the counter. I love it. It's like a candied baby powder. Or powdered candies. Like Candy necklace. Reminds me of wax lips. It's a lovely scent, with hideous performance. I mean the smell of your sour pillows has a wider bubble. So spray heavy. Keep a decant to refresh in a few hours. Could also use a 200ml** Projection: 0/5 Sillage: 0/5 Longevity: 3-4 hr Scent: 4/5 Definitely a sugar, powder, plastic colored rings. It's very childish. Almost infantile. Not in a negative way, but very "I have a nanny". It's giving baby lotion? Baby hair spray? Baby diaper? Baby powder? Colonia de bebé? Baby something.. I cant place the scent.. there's something familiar, but in the nursery or daycare realm. It needs an extrait. Its light. Airy. Very subtle, but it's there. Maybe it's too subtle for some. I can't say the price is right, especially for how subtle. If you tried it in-store, and didn't smell anything, it could have been the decoy bottle. Nordstrom in Bellevue Washington puts decoys out for things like BR540 and other big-kid items. Go back and try again. But it could also be the subtlety. Definitely get the "invisible ink" reference here. Could be a social experiment 🤣

i remember i saw this described in an article on this site as "the concept of having a little sister," and i knew i needed to get a sample. i've been looking for something more suited for fancy-ish or formal occasions while still having the sweet, fun, and childish aura that i strive to exude. when i finally got to try it, i was absolutely in love, until about an hour and a half to two hours later i realised it had already become a skin scent. it absolutely DOES NOT have the lasting power it should for the price point its at, so i'd honestly advise just getting a dupe even though mister kurkdjian despises dupe culture. overall, absolutely lovely fragrance, i could detect every note listed and the progression is beautiful, but it felt like bringing home the hottest person you've ever seen in your life only for you to find out they completely fall flat in any form of intellectual conversation. i'll start listening to mister kurk when his frags last longer than 30 minutes.

What a delicate work! It's amazing how the perfumer managed to make the fragrance both gourmand and fresh at the same time. Gourmand, yet not edible. The sweetness is not sticky, but subtle. Notes of candies or gummy bears only come to mind because of earlier comparisons, not because the perfume straightforwardly smells like them. If you don’t cling to that image, it’s a scent of refined sweetness with a gentle tartness and a hint of floral. Long-lasting, with a beautiful base. I don’t agree with many reviews calling it overly simple or almost childish. Not at all. The theme of the scent may indeed feel somewhat youthful and pleasantly uncomplicated, but the quality of its execution: the balance of ingredients, the interplay of sweetness and freshness, the finely crafted base-all of this speaks to the high level of the perfumer’s skill and talent. If one could call it “simple,” it would only be in the sense of “true genius is simple.”

I fell in love with this perfume after receiving a sample with a purchase and I knew immediately that I had to buy the full bottle. It’s a truly beautiful fragrance - warm, sweet, cheerful, charismatic and completely addictive. It’s surprisingly difficult to be described. Because it’s inspired by the perfumer’s childhood, it feels both comforting and playful. For a long time, I couldn’t quite pinpoint what that specific sensation was that made it so special. Then I watched an interview with Francis Kurkdjian, where he mentioned that some of his childhood memories are tied to the warm sand at the Atlantic coast—and suddenly it all made sense. That’s exactly what it smells like: warm sand on a carefree, sunny beach day. Not in a sunscreen way, but in a soft, nostalgic way. It’s definitely not a safe blind buy, but I highly recommend trying it.

I still don't understand why admins would not delete reviews and ratings that were clearly ill-intended without providing actual experience with this perfume. Do we not remember this perfume having less than a 3.7 rating - even before samples came out - just for its name? Ridiculous. While this perfume isn't proper gourmand - which I'm very glad it isn't - it provides very mellow vanilla fruity scents reminiscent of fruity snacks we once had in our youth. Regarding criticism of the strength of this perfume, this is by no means "watered down" nor "weak". It lasts more than a day on my shirt and at least 5 hours on my skin. Not every fragrance has to smell like Satin mood extrait or Rouge 540 extrait. Expecting non-synthetic and non-wood based to last that long is proving no proper intention of knowing how different notes work on fragrances.

A strangely comforting sweet peach/raspberry candy bomb, but quiet and close to the skin with just a gentle trail as you move about. I think it causes anosmia quickly as people try to sniff it harder to get more out of it after the intense first seconds, but that's not the idea. Once I stopped trying to huff it I enjoyed it a lot more. This is a fuzzy fruity musk snuggle up close, never meant to reach across a room to get attention. If you want a loud raspberry sharp slap grab some Individuel, but that's a very different thing. I do have to accept it is overpriced for what is a small relatively private pleasure when the other scents I have in that category are at most half the list price - but they aren't as tidily balanced as this and don't linger as kindly. Snagged a bottle at a little over half price and content with that.

This smells so nostalgic and familiar but I can’t quite put my finger on it... The crazy thing that shocked me about this fragrance is that its not really even sweet. I was expecting some kind of synthetic fruitbomb but this is quite the opposite. It’s musky and creamy and the fruity notes are relatively tame. It smells like a really good hand cream or body lotion. I need someone to figure out what this smells like because this smell is reminding me of childhood but I can’t understand how lol. Anyway, it’s not sweet or cloying and you could wear this any season day or night. It comes of as if you’re wearing a scented skincare product. Really clean smell. I hate fruity fragrances specifically because they’re often very sweet by nature, but this one is different for exactly that reason. 10/10 in my opinion.

Just received my sample today. 🤯🤩 WOW!🤩 so this is a sweet (but not too sweet) fragrance that expertly blends a sort of “gummy peach ring” candy scent with raspberry, juicy peaches ‘n cream and a warm white musk. It’s yummy enough to satisfy gourmand noses, but not so candied that the scent leans too juvenile. The musk grounds this very well. MK’s fragrances typically smell “expensive,” and this one is no exception. On me, it projects strongly the first hour, then tapers down closer to my skin for the next 2 hours... at that, I feel the longevity is just ok, but this is my first wear, so we’ll see how this lovely scent performs over the next week or so.

This strikes me as a kind of expensive Loves Baby Soft for this decade. I loved LBS! I love Kurky, too. Like Dana’s pink girly frag water of the ‘70’s and 80’s, Kurky is charming, but fades awfully fast. Loves Baby Soft, however, didn’t make a gal cry by first bleeding her coin purse dry, then stringing her along for less than two hours only to just...ghost her😅 Those two hours though?— —WOW👃🏻🤤🫦🥰 Dear Mr. Kurkjian, I believe in you. But— —Would you please, please, PUH-LEEAASE start offering this in a more affordable 1.2 ounce bottle... like, really soon?? Respectfully, A Loyal Customer (still)

Pure joy in a bottle. It’s tender, playful, and full of life, like laughing near a toddler while eating gummy bears. Not childish, not angelic, just fun and light-hearted in the best way. I don’t usually go for perfumes with this profile, but this one makes me smile every single time. And if you think it doesn’t last: spray it on clothes. I wore it to the gym at 3 PM, and the scent was still all over my shirt the next morning. This isn’t a loud perfume, but it stays if you know how to wear it. MFK really captured something special here.

Absolute genius, I don't understand the hate. It's a collection of juvenile, candy and fruit notes which manages to be neither sweet nor childish in the wearing. At first spray, I just smell alcohol. It takes about 10 minutes for it to start wafting from my skin, and then I'm sold. It's absolutely magical. It also manages to be fresh, but not in the same way as the freshies he kept doing for years, which we all got so fed up with. If you like ultra quality synthetic musk perfumes, do yourself a favour and wear this for a day. 10/10

I’ve been wearing Kurky for a few weeks now and wanted to weigh in with my thoughts. I think Kurky is a beautifully blended feminine fruity, sweet and musky scent. I find it actually very pretty. I don’t think it’s juvenile, but it is fun and young. It is a skin scent but it lasts for a long time on my skin. I still get whiffs of it in the morning when I wake up and can smell it on my clothes. It isn’t strong and I don’t know if anyone else can detect it. I gets whiffs of it throughout the day and it smells really good.

Beautiful and light perfume. I love that it’s not overly sweet, not too strong. It’s like comfy, unique skin scent. It’s very interesting perfume in my opinion, nothing I can compare it to. Yes, it’s very mild.. but to be honest, I can still get whiffs of it even after 6-8 hours. It’s like Baccarat where I feel it’s gone but I get whiffs off it long after. This is a great layering or daytime scent for me. On my list to purchase next. Would be great for summer.

Don’t know why so many bad reviews and people comparing to 540 and even the new Dior. Smelled the new Dior it’s ok. 540 ok and Kurky ok it does smell on me, it’s a summer fragrance so I don’t want something strong or I’ll be saying hello to migraines, I’m sure in the summer months will perform better with the heat. It’s sweet fresh and I won’t consider it a feminine fragrance but unisex

Received as a birthday present. This smells like a Care Bear on Saturday morning, (yes, I'm Gen X.) This is very sweet, fruity, sugary forward with a musky skin scent drydown at the bottom. Full stop spring and summer. I love it as a gift to add to the MFK section of my collection, but can't say I would've bought it for myself. That doesn't make it bad... the price does.

Luxurious pâtes de fruits, . . . possibly made with honey because sugar was expensive. Very thin, luminous, low-grade honey with no beeswax. Stabilized with citric gelatin. Others have mentioned plasticine, so tapioca citron musk. It is a very agreeable scent, gentile and delicate. The opening is a powdery violet fog that straightens up later into a proper edt.

Incredibly arousing. It reminds me of certain specific yet indescribable queues of adoration. Perplexing attraction. It smells like a girlfriend in a collared t-shirt and jeans with no makeup. It smells like small teeth and a comfortable face. It’s a very cool, cute fragrance. Bright and playful. I won’t wear it but girls in my dreams will.

I need to add a second review and a honest one, just got back from a trip to Sal and omg what I expected it works amazing with the heat and humidity this perfume is bang on everyone around me could smell it, it worked well on my skin, from time to time the smell just hits u and the smell stayed on my shirt till I got back home.

Today is my first time wearing this. It has been six hours and it is still going strong. I really enjoy this fruity musk a lot. It reminds me a bit of Hypnotic Musk from Micallef. I find the musk in here to be very sensual. It really isn’t a light scent, so I am wondering if perhaps people are going anosmic to it?
