Le Beau Parfum

I bought a $16 4-sample set from MFK just to smell Baccarat Rouge and this was one of the other 3 I chose because I saw that many people love it. I think that if I had had the opportunity to smell all of the MFK fragrances and pick out the 4 sample ones instead of blind buying them, I would probably not have picked this one. But I'm very glad that I did! Otherwise, I would have missed out on its beauty! I lean toward floral *orientals*, not pure florals, so I took a big risk here, haha. I have to say, I don't regret it one bit! It's very very different from the fragrances that I'm used to wearing and that I gravitate toward. Le Beau Parfum is a very very beautiful and classy scent. It's spring sunshine happiness in a bottle. The woman who wears this is charming, sensual, lovely, and lively. If Blake Lively (I SWEAR, no pun intended) were to walk past me, this would be the trail of fragrance emanating from her hair. This perfume, however, is not light or dainty. It has weight and depth to it. It has presence. A little goes a long way with this perfume. Update (06/14/2022): I'm very sad that this perfume was discontinued. I rediscovered the sample today and smelled it again after a long time and I simply love it so much. I can smell some creaminess and a slight powderiness to it that I hadn't picked up on before. It's simply gorgeous. It's incredible that such simple notes can lead to such a rich scent... it has depth, but it's simple enough that you can identify the notes and that makes this perfume shine. There is nothing dark or mysterious about it. I second whoever called it a wedding day scent. I imagine an elegant bride in a delicate white dress. She has her hair down, jasmine in her hair, in her hands a tuberose bouquet. She has a dreamy smile, feeling the spring breeze as she strolls down the aisle, in a garden of white flowers in bright sunny weather. Only those closest to the couple are in attendance. I don't know why but I don't smell the syrupy/honey-like sweetness a few people have mentioned. It has a little bit of warmth, but I wouldn't call this a traditional gourmand fragrance. Perhaps I'm biased because I tend to love very gourmand fragrances, so maybe in comparison this doesn't seem close. I think that any perceived sweetness is all coming from the florals. If I could personify this perfume, I would say that at the very least it doesn't seem to be trying to be a gourmand fragrance. I don't smell any fruitiness either or any cinnamon, no matter how hard I try. It's fascinating to me that other people do. I can imagine a lotion smelling like this and, like the perfume, it would be lovely.

The first review: 'I was going to begin my review with "[This is a] very sweet white floral", but then I saw that JoeMacchiato had already written the exact same words below. Well, they are certainly true! But now I'm gonna have to be a bit more creative with my review. So, as those of you who may have stumbled upon my other reviews already know, I love Francis Kurkdjian's creations, but I detest tuberose (and white 'n' yellow florals in general). I have tested numerous tuberose fragrances, including such fan favourites as FM Carnal Flower, Diptyque Do Son, Cacharel LouLou etc. but none of them work for me. Moreover, I don't wear sweet, fruity and gourmand fragrances, because on my skin they seem to become even sweeter than they already are! Now, I was hoping that perhaps Maestro Kurkdjian might have created a sweet tuberose fragrance that I could actually enjoy. Alas... no. In spite of the name 'Le beau parfum', the combination of tuberose, ylang ylang and jasmine was so unpleasant to me that I had to scrub it off immediately. In addition to this, although the scent description does not mention any sweet notes, I swear to god that I could smell some sugary/fruity notes that further enhanced this already sweet floral combo. Maybe it's a fixative or something, but it reeks of those vanilla/pear/peach/cotton candy sugarbombs that I simply cannot handle.'

Le Beau is a happy and romantic fragrance that takes you down a warm yellow-lit path of ylang ylang and gentle tuberose. This is a warm yellow sun-kissed blonde of a fragrance. Le Beau is sweet and feminine and yet not mature or immature. I believe any woman can wear it and it can only add more grace and humble sophistication. This is ideal for a Spring wedding as a bride or a guest. It is not overwhelmingly heady and the projection when I wear it is about 2 feet. It lasts about 4-6 hours but longer on my clothes. The dry down becomes warm and the Jasmine almost fades completely, leaving you with a honeyed floral skin scent. I will only ever have one Tuberose fragrance and for me, this is the one. I do not smell any coconut thankfully, I cannot abide tuberose and coconut together. I also own the following Tuberose Fragrances Gucci Bloom, Tuberose & Gardenia Estee Lauder Private Collection & Florence Tocca. Once they are gone they are gone as this one is so much lovelier. This is a fragrance that leaves the wearer feeling pretty and happy.

My first impression of Le Beau Perfum wasn't so great, as testified by my original review of this fragrance, which has since been downvoted and removed (but it's still visible on my profile page). However, I decided to give Le Beau Perfum another chance, since I received a generous sample when I purchased MFK Absolue Pour le Soir and didn't want to throw it away. Guess what happened next: the compliments came flooding in! First it was my husband: 'Ooh you smell so good, what's that perfume?! It's wonderful!' Next up was my 12 yrs old son: 'Mum, you smell like a magic garden!' Then, my dad: 'Oh, finally you're wearing a perfume appropriate for a woman your age!' (Thanks, dad!) And then, my male friends (both straight and gay), random people in the street, an elderly taxi driver... they were all enchanted by this fragrance. Looks like this sweet tuberose works its charm on everyone but me! I'm definitely gonna give it some time - one never knows, it might eventually grow on me.

Le Beau Parfum by Maison Francis Kurkdjian smells of golden, honeyed ylang-ylang, fresh bundles of tuberose, sweet blossoming orange flower, and a touch of jasmine. Le Beau is blended perfectly, the notes develop into this beautiful spring bouquet that surrounds you in the most divine floral aura. I blind bought this and I can honestly say that I do not regret it, it is exquisite! On the back of the bottle label it says “Au Printemps” which translates to “In Spring” which accurately describes the season in which this fragrances makes you feel your experiencing. Makes me think of the song La Complainte De La Butte when I smell this! Le Beau Parfum was aptly named as I do think this is a beautiful perfume, I love wearing this and I get loads of compliments from everyone every time I wear it!

This is happiness in a bottle, the sunniest perfume I have come across. Makes me feel like I'm on a cloud sipping an orange blossom milkshake! I can actually feel the orange blossom and ylang ylang (I'm not sure I know what tuberose smells like, it could be tuberose I'm smelling) together with something ultra creamy and sweet, yet at the same time airy and somehow not gourmand. This is not a simple or simplistic perfume, despite the notes list being short. Therein lies Francis' artistry - it's done exactly right. I must admit that I've never come across a mediocre MFK perfume. I might not enjoy all (or most) of their offerings, because they're not really my style, but they seem to me of exquisite quality.

Wearing it now, feel compelled to write a review. I was so lucky to get a preloved bottle - MFK had stopped shipping to my country, and now they've discontinued this scent. Le Beau is a gorgeous, gorgeous white floral. A big, bold, warm white floral... Very sophisticated, charming in a typically French way, masterfully blended. As much as I love Amouage, Le Beau beats Amouage Honour for me (which is another beautiful, big white floral). I'm clueless why MFK would discontinue it; Le Beau is so French, so Francis K. I'll cherish my bottle.

I first smelled this in 2018 when I received a sample from the MFK store in Paris. So potent, so beautifully elegant yet charming, so different from anything I’ve smelled before. I wanted to buy it but the heavy pricetag made me wait for a special occasion to treat myself ... TOO LATE. This has been discontinued sadly and I am devastated. If anyone knows of a dupe for this I’d be elated.

a really underated perfume! i think this is a true beauty! Feminine , clean, elegant , classy. What we think when we say "white floral" perfume. the Jasmine is the first thing i smelled when i sprayed it , after 5' it got more creamy from the tuberose and the ylang. I smelled devine for 5hs - i completly recommend it and it is on my list for a fyll bottle.

Youthful and springy tubereuse, not the tubereuse you know. It's not too bold, not powdery, not aged or musky, but quite the opposite. There is sweetness and a delicate body of light. Beautiful floral, great longevity. 8/10

A beautiful take on the classic theme of white and tropical florals. So warm, sweet and creamy and dense, almost like a caramel cream or a custard, but not quite gourmand. To my nose ylang-ylang is the main note, even more so than tuberose, and I always love how this flower manages to smell sunny and airy and at the same time classical. But the white florals are also noticeable and make the scent a wonderfully fluffy bouquet. For some reason I get a spicy undertone on my skin that reminds me of cinnamon which gives a nice contrast to the summery flowers. So, this is really pretty, but there is a downside. I usually don't care too much about sillage, I think it's fine that some scents don't project much, especially for daytime use. I also rarely have problems to detect a scent around me. But this is so extremely close to the skin that I never got a single waft the three times I sampled it, I always have to put my arm directly under my nose to smell it. That's just too weak, especially for that price.

Beautiful The first time I sprayed this, I thought to myself aww I have something like this already and I didn’t give it much thought. I then decided to test it again and I must say it’s a very beautiful fragrance. It seems not to last that long on my skin though (sadly). It lasted much longer when I sprayed it on the clothes; it lasted the entire day. I really like it and I would buy it but then I don’t 265 € like it;) if that makes any sense. I have another perfume which I got from all beauty, “Agatha Paris Perfumes, Ballade Champs Élysée “ and there is a very similar DNA there. There are some similar notes in both perfumes and that could also explain the similarities. I would suggest trying that one out before going all out on the MFK Le Beau.

My nose interprets Le Beau as caramel and sunny tubereuse, with a chorus of other sweet flowers. Occasionally I am slightly nauseated by it, yet I like (maybe even love) it. I did find it quite sweet, with a quality bordering gourmand. Once I tried Cocaine by Franck Boclet, which actually has caramel and tubereuse (and, sadly, tobacco, which was a no-no for me), which made me feel the same way. Rarely do I associate perfumes with colour, but Le Beau is so very yellow! Like warm sunshine when spring turns to summer. Very easy to wear and adequate performance!

Has anyone noticed that the discontinued Le Beau Parfum is very similar to NR All of Me? they are almost the same. Basically the same perfume but not the same price point. I recommend trying it to anyone who is looking for a substitute for le beau parfum

To me, this is a very sweet floral bouquet. I guess that Ylang-ylang sweetens everything else here. Anyway, it's well-blended and its longevity is quite good in spite of being composed of floral notes only.

The floral opening is beautiful, but the honeyed powdery dry down is ho-hum.

Le Beau (LB) is gorgeous! It's a divinely feminine, soft, and refined fragrance. It's a softer tuberose much like Saab Tuberose (ST) rather than sharp/piercing like Nuit de Tubereuse or La Chasse aux Papillons (both by L'artisan). LB disappears on paper after a short while but lingers much longer on skin. ST is longer lasting with more sillage than LB, but LB is definitely the lovelier of the two. However, I prefer ST because it's a little more "me". It wouldn't be redundant to own both and I think one day I will certainly buy a bottle of Le Beau (when I've got more disposable income). I love the sweet delicateness of Le Beau. I think it's perfect for a sweet and elegant person. -

The reviews are all over the place on this one. I'm guessing it either was reformulated a few times, doesn't age well or people are anosmic to certain elements 540 style...or all of the above. Whatever camp I fall in this is only a delicate syrupy sweet honey orange blossom soliflore on my skin. There's a little ylang hiding in the back but ZERO of my sweet sweet tuberose. Very strong fancy shampoo vibe....like the floral version of gentle fluidity gold. I have regrets on the expense of the sample~

i saw other reviewers mention honey so i know im right about what i smelled. the opening was everything i like scents to be, (like prada candy) warm syrupy gourmand sweet but soon this became warm syrupy sweet to the tenth power. like the scent itself is a good one but mfk took a really good scent & made it too potent. its overkill & LOUD like a siren. if dialed down it would be perfect but its TOO potent/made me nauseous. i know this is supposed to be floral, i get hints of floral but it plays background to a really potent honey gourmand scent. to be fair i also DONT like baccarat so if u DO like baccarat, u may like this. & our noses may just be different.

Unfortunately it’s a cheap smelling fragrance for me which isn’t worthy for that price! Nothing special about it. The first perfume I bought from this brand was Bacarat rouge which was perfect and I thought I could trust other perfumes from this brand like Serge-Lutens. The first perfume from Serge Lutens I bought led me to blind buy other perfumes from that brand and never disappointed me.

Something special by master Francis Kurkdjian, again! Usually, it doesn't take me long to decide on MFK creations. Most are a daunting YES (as you can see in my wardrobe), but some require repeated testing to reach my soul. Le Beau seems to be one of them. The problem is that it gives me a green vibe, like ... greenery / culinary herbs, just at the beginning. BUT (!, read before giving up testing this perfume) - the vibe is not persistent, it gradually disappears, being monopolized and blurred by a particularly creamy and exotic ylang. Tuberose is present, jasmine is present, orange blossom is present, but no flower seems dominant, maybe just the special note of ylang. Also, +1 to the resemblance to Honour, in the idea that in Amouage's creation I feel a certain humidity ... present here as well. So Yes, I can picture a sea vibe, too, but nothing salty at all - just like a heavy rain over exotic 🌼 white flowers 🌼. Thank you for this precious sample, SailorV!

The first time I wore this, I had an aversion to it. It seemed very generic and I thought it smelled like a million other things I had smelled before. I was very wrong. You need to come to this fragrance with a clear head and you'll see its beauty. Now, this is never going to be my signature. I like things to have more of an edge, to be wilder. But this is a lyrical scent and I appreciate the story it tells. It is sweet, yes, but that's just to accommodate its darling flower bouquet and does not overpower, as it has an ethereal, slightly powdery, finish. Its floral notes are like a piano sonata, they calm and lift your spirit. Although it's not what I expected (this was a blind buy), I'll enjoy my bottle during the day- I'm not giving this away. Because as sweet florals go, this is magnificent!

I received a sample of this older formulation in a MFK bundle of older fragrances (Ciel de Gum included 🥳) to me Le Beau Parfum is a beautiful ode to Ylang Ylang. It’s got that rubbery banana texture going on that I enjoy. It has such a level of sweetness I would swear vanilla was in the composition, it’s very creamy and smooth but has density- it’s a bowl of creamy Ylang Ylang pudding! I can also pick up on the Tuberose later in the dry down but the Jasmine and orange blossom seem to be there to highlight some of the nuances Ylang Ylang has. The opening was the most heady and was verging on indolic but didn’t quite get there on me. I bet this would be divine in hot and humid weather. I’m excited to sample the re- release and see how they compare.

I'm surprised this doesnt get more love. My second favorite floral from MFK. Bought my first bottle of Le Beau in 2019 (peach-colored juice, not yellow like pictured above). Certainly not your basic tuberose. I dont get the honey that others are mentioning. To me, it's more vanilla-tuberose-ylang. Warm, creamy, sweet, tropical. Everytime I wear this, I feel like I should be vacationing at a exotic, beachy locale. The ylang ylang also plays a huge role. The most brazen of yellow florals, can oftentimes add a spicy-warmth, just as it does here. If you're a fan of sweet tuberose fragrances, this should be on your list.

Very sweet, cloying, floral, generic scent. Something that I would wear back in the days when I had little knowledge of more niche perfume brands. It does not do the brand justice and I find nothing special about it unfortunately... Would not recommend though it does depend on your personal taste. Somehow this reminds me a lot of the headache inducing juicy couture fragrances that were so popular back in the days. I do believe there are better sweet white floral fragrances out there such as Flowerhead by Byredo, which smells much more classy and luxurious.

Le Beau MFK/Tuberose Jasmine Orange blossom Ylang-ylang / On my skin turns to a feminin,sweet,soft,solar,whipped creamy textured white and yellow floral fragrance. I really like this perfume, There is an uplifting and happy vibe about it. (Nothing serious,dark,or heavy or spicy ) I do enjoy the whipped creamy texture,almost gourmand, not a safe blind-buy as I heard it turns sour or synthetic on some people, luckily not on me. very long lasting,good soft projection. all year around 💛💛💛

Le Beau opens up with a burst of Jasmine and dries down to a soft and creamy scent. The fragrance is composed of Tuberose, floral Ylang Ylang (similar to Jasmine) and brightness of Orange Blossom. It is a dreamy, creamy, floral blend that wears beautifully on my skin. Edit: The opening reminds me of Gucci Bloom and the dry down reminds me of Tom Ford’s Orchid Soleil but pumped up on sweetness. I own both of those fragrances so I found that interesting to note.

At first, I get the scent of Golden Grahams. Yes really. Then comes a very sweet floral, with definitely some lingering sugary spiciness to it. Think thick, luscious, fleshy flowers. It starts off strong and heady, but dries down a bit powdery, with Chanel-esque vibes, and sort of entirely disappears all of a sudden. Very pretty and mature while it lasts, which sadly is not very long at all, with little to no projection.

The flowers are all here. I smell also a significant amount of honey, which is not mentioned in the ingredients above, but it is there and it is prominent, to my nose of course. This is a pretty holiday fragrance, indeed. Perhaps, this could be also a great bridal fragrance, as well. The dry down turns very coconut-y on my skin and when this happens the scent starts slowly fading away.

This scent brings happiness. It is so joyful, young and full of spring promise. I actually get some tart berry notes in it, can't quite put my finger on which one exactly, more of generic red berries, like red currants. It makes the flowers smell more juicy and fresh, instead of powdery or pollen-like. A spring in Paris, white trees covered in blossoms, magnolias in bloom.

MFK reveals just four listed notes of orange blossom, tuberose, ylang ylang, and jasmine, but the final outcome is a bright, warm, creamy, non-indolic, opulent white floral crafted masterfully. LBP does lean the tiniest bit feminine, but on a confident man, this will be one hell of a statement fragrance. This is one fragrance MFK shouldn't have discontinued.

I got this at the main Paris boutique of Maison Francis Kurkdjian. What a beautiful accord of white floral! I know many other tuberose perfumes, but this is a very dreamy, sensual and inspirational one. I feel the perfumer's artistic sense and his elegance. I almost got the newest Le Petit Matin, but I'm really pleased that I chose this! I love it!!

Mr. Kurkdjian, if you’re reading this..... Can you please bring back JPG Fragile but in your own line? I understand ingredients may not be the same but would love to have that scent back in my life! Pretty please!!!

Just saw that they’ve re-released this one (in fact it’s already on their website by the looks of it), so for everyone wishing this one would come back, looks like your dreams are coming true!

Strong white floral bouquet. It reminds me of soft white lily blossom or orchid, just because i don’t know how a fresh tuberosa smells like. A bit of ylang sweetens the scent.

A very narcotic, sweet, and floral-centered scent with Vanilla. Tuberose interpretation of Methyl Anthranilate, which feels too old for me. not my style...

Blind bought this. It’s a cinnamon bomb on me and I honestly can’t get past it. Heavy and screechy. A little too warm for me.

Am I the only one who smells beach and sea in this perfume? It is beautiful and relaxing, but it is not what i expected :)
