Oud Extrait de Parfum

The first time I tried this fragrance, I didn't realize how extraordinary it was. I sensed, as have other reviewers, a sort of soft-spicy chlorine-vanilla accord that took me by surprise because it didn't bear any resemblance to other ouds I've sampled. But then, I couldn't stop smelling it. Oud Extrait unfolds unlike any other scent I've encountered, and somehow manages to become increasingly rich and intoxicating as it develops. The first sniff smelled like summer afternoons by the pool as a teenager: chlorinated water drying on sun-washed skin, somehow both clean and musky, solar warmth and sweaty body heat. The vanilla and saffron work marvelously together without occluding or overwhelming one another; they are responsible for that smooth, airy sweetness that is neither cool nor warm, yet somehow both. Then comes the most delicate dance of spices: subtle oud and cedar—if this were a color it would be dusky blue, between cobalt and indigo—and woody resin, but only as the tender trace of incense smoke. I think that the magic element here might be the ambrette; it doesn't come off as synthetic to me, but maybe a bit medicinal. I suspect this is where that slightly alkaline note comes from. It's honestly the last thing I'd expect to work well with the other accords in Oud Extrait, but it really does, and is a total stroke of genius. Substitute rose, and this would be a fluffy attar. Substitute a citrus and you have something close to an aquatic-woody citrus. This, though, is olfactory gossamer: saltwater taffy relieved of its sugar, the light of early evening distilled into liquid form. A sublime little potion, genderless and all-season, suitable for night or day. 10/10 EDIT 15/06/2020: I had a minor epiphany tonight that made me reconsider something I said in my original review, which I fully stand behind otherwise (indeed, my love for OE remains as strong as ever). Some backstory is necessary, however: this afternoon, for the first time ever, I made paella from scratch. I love cooking and baking and have turned to these pastimes often recently in the face of the isolation and darkness seemingly coming at us from all sides (with glimmers of hope as well, thankfully!). This was also my first time interacting with raw saffron as well, one of the most precious and enchanting spices. Curious about the taste of this magical little filament, this dried stamen of history incarnate, I popped a single dried stem in my mouth. Right away, I recognized it: that sweetly medicinal, alkaline-sunshine burst of flavor, the gustatory equivalent of an olfactory presence I'd already known—here, in Oud Extrait by MFK. I realized right away that it wasn't the ambrette I'd been smelling and which had been evoking the strongest sense memory in me, but the saffron! There must be a mega dose in this formulation, more than in any other perfume I've smelled. It plays beautifully with the almost mineralic oud and sweet vanilla, but is stronger than both of them. I can't help but feel that this makes this fragrance all the more exquisite, and all the more cherished. I feel like I'm falling in love all over again!

Embellishing upon the structural backbone of his original oud fragrance, Kurkdjian adds a new accord of vegetal musk (Ambrettolide) and vanilla. Both accompany the signature ingredient of extremely rare and exceptionally pure oud from Laos. Other notes from the original include spicy saffron, resinous elemi gum from the Phillipines, warm cedar wood from Morocco, and earthy patchouli from Indonesia. With the addition of Ambrettolide and vanilla accord, the composition is offered a gentle sweetness, a subtle fruitiness while still conveying the unadulterated beauty of the original version. The effect is cozy, comforting and similar to receiving a warm embrace. 'OUD Extrait de parfum' still carries with it a dry quality (no citrus, no florals) which is the signature of the original "eau de parfum", seemingly a reflection of the arid desert sands from which it was inspired. The scent of oud still remains at center stage within the composition (if not more pronounced in this version), exalted by the constellation fragrant notes surrounding it yet never overshadowed. Capturing the mystery of the Orient, with 'OUD Extrait de parfum' Mr. Kurkdjian has yet again created an oud-centric fragrance for the ages. For those who fell in love with his original 'OUD', you will not be disappointed in this new interpretation. The two newly added notes (vegetal musk and vanilla accord) do not distract from the central focus of oud's mysticism and enchantment, but rather embellish it. As an "extrait de parfum" concentration, longevity is at its highest. Both sillage and projection are adequate, but for the most part the fragrance yields closely to the skin. Those who come within arms length of the wearer will be blessed to behold this narcotic scent. For me the drydown is the most superb iteration of the scent, as one can truly appreciate the delicate nuances of the oud as it reflects off of facets of creamy vanilla and fragrant musk. Both men and women alike can certainly adorn themselves with this versatile scent, as it does not lean heavily masculine or feminine. Traditionally I've always reserved oud fragrances for the cooler months of autumn and winter, given the heavy and at times dark nature of oud's scent. 'OUD Extrait de parfum', however, feels wearable year round thanks to the gentle playfulness imparted by the vanilla accord. Its delicate sweetness gives an airy lightness to the composition which seems suitable to nighttime wearings in the heat and humidity of the summer months. I've had this one now for about two months and I'm so excited to have some cooler weather that I can actually get to wear this stuff in. At the opening this has a very slight rose note that I definitely pick up on, but one that doesn't steal the show either. It's not a jammy, sweet, red rose but more of a fluffy, light, airy, pink or white rose. The opposite of indolic is the best way to describe the rose that I pick up. Others below have mentioned it as well. But once the slight floral tinge settles down then the most amazing, opulent, buttery smooth Oud takes center stage supported by saffron and elemi and let me tell you, it is amazing, beautiful, and silky smooth yet powerful and masculine at the same time! This one definitely leans masculine though I could possibly see an older woman in very formal attire pulling this one off, or a heavily gothic chick who is definitely introverted yet doesn't mind having all eyes on her. However I would definitely say sample first if you are a female, but if you like Oud Wood and then this is definitely blind buy material. Now that I think about it, it may be the ambrette that adds the floral note that I get at the opening. It's known to have that effect, especially with higher concentrations. This fragrance is the epitome of a smooth, silky, buttery fragrance with outstanding longevity and projection. It smells like class and sophistication, and money! 10/10 for me. NOTE: It's kind of funny to think about it now but when I first ordered this stuff I received MFK Oud Satin Mood by a mistake on the sellers part. I was outrageously pissed off when I found out what happened. Nevermind that it normally goes for $80-$100 more per bottle than Oud Extrait, it wasn't what I wanted and I wasn't not happy about it. After getting online and ordering the actual fragrance I had wanted in the first place I actually started to spend some time with Oud Satin Mood Extrait, and OMG what a fragrance!!!!! It might lean slightly feminine to some or even most people but I think that the Oud and vanilla combo along with the violet bring in just the right amount of masculinity and darkness. It's now in my top three favorite fragrances and it's possibly my absolute favorite fragrance! If you want to smell something truly amazing then get your nose on that stuff ASAP because who knows how long it'll be around before it's either discontinued or reformulated.

Lovely fragrance! The elemi and oud combination is excellent! Woody, spicy, warm and slightly fresh. Animalic without being dirty. The opening is a citrusy oud, slightly fresh because of the elemi, which is creamy, fresh, citrusy and a little bit spicy. If i put my nose close in the frist seconds I get a petrol vibe and violet leaves note. The saffron note comes right after giving it a spicer and a little dry facet to the fragrance. The more it goes in the drydown, the citrusy note from elemi fades and saffron + vanillla becomes stronger along with oud as a main note. In the background I get some smoky, metalic, earthy notes, some leather too. Also there are some powdery notes from top to bottom, I'm pretty sure they use Iris too. Also some rose note which isn't listed is there. The performance is excellent, I get easily 10H of longevity with a sillage that goes strong for 2 hours and a moderate for another 2. This is an oud fragrance that I could easily wear in summer nights, but not oversprayed. Very elegant, but also it goes well with a casual outfit. edit: actually the performance is even better after a few wears, Idk why. Used ~3.5 sprays at 7:30 (7AM) and at 17:30 (5:30PM) went to GYM, it smelled quite strong and radiated, had to wash it because was too strong for me and probably for others too. It was still a skin scent after the gym shower

I had a sample of this for many years, but the name was completely gone from the label. So I had no idea what it was. I only knew it was an MFK fragrance. The fragrance completely dried out after all these years and left a dark, gooey substance in the sample vial. When I was clearing out my samples and smelled the sprayer. I instantly got hooked. I remember ordering a sample of all MFK Oud fragrances, so it had to be one of this line. I first thought it was Oud EdP and ordered a sample, but it was not. So I just ordered samples the whole line (that was still available) and finally found it. I am totally addicted. This is quite a bit different from the EdP version. The EdP is dry, airy, clean, woody and professional. The extrait is thick, heavy, semi-sweet, little bit dirty, sexy, loud, while still being classy and expensive-smelling. The EdP is much much easier to wear and more linear, which indirectly makes it less interesting for the real fraghead. I have been living off samples up until now. I will probably buy a bottle, when I get my next paycheck. Scent: 9/10 Projection: 10/10 Sillage: 10/10 Longevity: 10/10 (12h+ on skin) Versatility 6/10 (Only for cold days) Uniqueness: 9/10 Price/performance: 7/10 (Very expensive) Total: 8.5

Nice perfumes, but literally SCANDALOUS customer service. I ordered 5 or 6 times and sent them around 8-9 emails asking questions. Three items I have not received any answer at all, most of the times they answered it took 3-7 days. Their shipping is one of the worst I have seen, I ordered 7 days ago and still my perfumes are not yet shipped. Only once have they shipped my parcel within 48 hrs, the rest took 5-10 days after payment. Twice they sent me discount codes after a purchase, none of these discount codes were valid and I had to pay full price every purchase. This time was the last time i ordered anything from their factory HQ in Paris, i rather pay the extra 15% boutique prices from their retailer shops in my country. To me this experience have been shocking, because all other nisch / high-end perfume houses I bought perfumes from I had superior customer service, very nice service from all houses but MFK. I wrote them a sour email today to share my feelings that i see their customer service unacceptable, it's actually the worst customer service I ever experienced ever when purchasing online luxury / high-end perfume clothing cosmetics accessories etc

I see why some people may say this is arguably the best from the MFK line. I use to believe Oud Satin Mood Extrait was the best from the line but after getting this in my collection and experiencing this, I just don’t know any more. MFK hits the mark with so many of his fragrances and I’m a huge fan. Oud Extrait is a SMOOTH Oud. Not powdery, Not pungent, Not overly sweet, just smooth. I enjoyed the EDP but it just wasn’t as blended as well as this; they only get similar after the Extrait has damn near disappeared on my skin the next day! Which brings me to the next things, the longevity and the performance. My word, this juice last 24hrs+ on my skin. I sprayed it on at 3pm yesterday, went to sleep, woke up at 6am to workout, took a shower, lotioned up, virtual learned with my kids and I can still smell it at 1pm today! Now thats and Extrait! Projection and Scent trail is masterfully done as with most MFK. It doesn’t scream but it screams when someone enters your bubbled that makes sense. I cannot pick up each note individually, that’s the sign of a well blended fragrance. 10 out of 10 for me easy

I am a bit confused with this perfume. In one hand It is very nice, Well blended, strong but very weareable, bit delicate and very pleasant. It seems to have very good quality ingredients inside... But this is great for being an saffron/vanilla/musk perfume!! One of the bests ive tried... However It doenst seem really an oud perfume. It is true that It has some oud feeling on It but not more than in oud satin mood or oud silk mood...and as It is called just oud It is possible that someone can expect a more intense oud feeling. The oud here is also not medicinal or fecal, what for me is good but for oud lovers could be something bad. I find It very similar to oud wood by Tom Ford... An oud for people Who dont like oud or have not many experience with it. The smell is dry, a bit acid/citrusy, sweet and powdery. I feel very good wearing It. The longevity is great but the projection is just moderate. I find It unisex and weareable at any time. Scent: 8.5 Longevity: 9 Sillage: 7 Quality/price: 6 Versatility: 7.5 Originality: 7 Global: 8.5

I really enjoy this. I know Oud Satin Mood Extrait gets the hype but this is just a good all around frag. It’s a clean, citrus, sweet take. It’s a beginners oud imo. Not animatic or skanky. The oud almost has a chocolaty feel to it. It’s woody. The cedar to me makes it masculine. The typical MFK saffron sweetness with the vanilla keeps it unisex. It’s linear and not groundbreaking but it smells good. That’s what matters. It’s mainly warm spicy. The elemi and saffron stay throughout the life of the wear. I think if someone wants to smell kinda fresh during fall/winter with a twist wears this. Saffron isn’t super leathery only in the very very beginning. I really enjoy this a ton. It isn’t talked about like others in the line but it’s well worth the purchase. Good for first time oud buyers and for long time fragheads that want a slight change from the million rose/oud combos. Great scent trail. Surprisingly pulls compliments too. The vanilla keeps it a bit sexy imo. My fav from the MFK oud line. 9/10

Finally got my nose and this and I have to say Mr Kurkdjian this is a sublime creation, absolutely what I was anticipating, the amped up Oud Extrait I’d hoped for. Essentially there’s nothing new in here except for more being even more luxurious than the EDP. The opening plays around even less but still gives you an almost bright, stinging sharp resinous quality of Elemy, a ton of long lasting and dominant saffron on that loasian oud which keeps coming and coming. Hate to lower the tone here but ( I’m going to anyway), I would equate MFK Oud to an acid trip, just when you’re beginning to get your head around the turbulent first hour or so...the effects just keep coming on stronger and stronger in waves, until the drydown which is mellow and relaxed with any perceived hard edges smoothed away into a blissful landing. I love this fragrance and I’m going to purchase it, although I’ve been saying that about the original since about 2013 but hey.

This is AMAZING. Clearly has the DNA of the original but way better, IMO. The EDP is a light and airy, slightly coniferous, fresh spicy Oud with a medicinal quality to it that I’ve been on the fence with, but there are qualities to it that I really like. This, on the other hand has been an instant love, I’m so glad I decided to pick this up. It’s denser, sexier, and has an underlying sweetness to it that blends incredibly into the composition, balancing out the medicinal value I’ve been having hard time with in the EDP, and the performance is outstanding. Perfect, to be exact. Within this subtle sweetness, I’m picking up nuances of chocolate, like you’d find in Dior Homme Intense. It’s delicious. Perhaps it’s the shared note of ambrette along with the vanilla and patchouli. I just can’t get over how freaking good this smells. Ps. I could repeat verbatim what @gnrattlerjr says below me.

MFK Oud Extrait is very similar to its predecessor, Oud EDP. The main difference is that the Extrait is thicker, spicier and slightly more masculine - while the EDP is completely unisex. Now, as some reviewers have already mentioned, this is not an oud fragrance for hardcore oud lovers who indulge in its loudest, stinkiest varieties. Quite the opposite, this is a very elegant and, shall I say, European take on the oud craze. It's strong but smooth, imposing but clean; no barnyard-stained wellies or smelly armpits here! I could imagine a director of an international corporation wearing this fragrance. As with the rest of the MFK Oud Mood line, Oud Extrait lasts an eternity and fills the room with just one spray. If you already own the EDP, there's no need to invest in the Extrait, since it is not a significant improvement of the EDP - simply because the EDP is perfect as it is!

When I was a child, I used to go to Harrods with my parents quite a lot. I remember seeing schools of these beautiful ladies wearing Islamic burkas, sometimes trimmed with crystals around their hems. My Dad used to tell me that they were Arabian princesses and I was obsessed with the idea. The Women would leave behind them a trail of sweet, 'saffrony' oud clouds. Oud extrait by MFK is the closest thing to that smell as I remember it. This is not a traditional arabian oud that you might smell in a souk in Dubai, but a western 'French' take on that (Classic MFK). It is a powdery slightly slightly animalic oud. My friends and family love this, it smells like whispering wealth. A 9/10 only because personally, the longevity isn't fantastic but it is so beautiful that we can look past that. 'Oud satin mood' is money shouting, 'Oud' extrait is wealth whispering.

Still not an Oud but an "Oh!". This is one of those infrequent, sublime, wow-fragrances. So well blended and artfully crafted it is difficult to pull specific notes (I love Ouds from the East but I'm challenged to call it out by name here) but this has warm/dark and light/airy accords going on simultaneously. A little spice, and a little sweetness. A little herbal, a little aquatic, a little resinous. It snuck up on me as a 10/10 scent. Smiling, sniffing the inside of my elbow -- I must look like a lunatic. This lasts the live-long day with a close but continuous sillage bubble -- superior performance. Three sprays only -- one behind right knee, one on small of back, one inside left elbow. I think this leans masculine, on a gentleman, but perfectly reasonable for a mature, confident, lady in the cooler months.

Oud and saffron. Not too masculine, not too feminine. Eastern but western at the same time. Not exclusive to the day or the night, nor the summer or the winter. Bold, but not overpowering, blended to perfection. A big improvement on the EDP, it starts off with a spicy saffron opening which lasts all throughout, the ambrette, vanilla, and oud give it vibes of Dior Homme Parfum, yet this is something else. It does not have the skankiness of some natural ouds and has been toned down for western noses. Longevity is excellent, not a complete beast like some other MFK extraits, but 12 hours on skin and 3 days on clothing is more than adequate! It projects well with a soothing and warm dry-down. I don't find it animalic whatsoever and I have been using natural ouds for almost 20 years.

Got a couple of testers, For my first couple of wearings, all i got was that overwhelming smell of makeup, lipstick and lots of different perfumes that you get hit hard in The face with when you walk into a cosmetic department/store. And then, after a couple of wearings, I started to percieve it different. Almost going into a candy-like sweetness direction but with The makeup vibe still being present. I am now really enjoying it i must say, just goes to show how your nose adjusts, adapts and change The way that we percieve smells over time. Not sure if it's worth The price, allthough i'm probably going to buy it anyway because i've already started negotiations with myself and if you're a fraghead like me then you know how that's gonna play out..

I love it! To begin with, I was very sceptical to try the Extrait version (and the EdP for this matter), because honestly, oud is Always hit or miss for me (I DON*T like Barney crap style). Oud Extrait is slightly more dense as compared to Oud EDP, both share the same conceptual Picture for me - theatrical elemi. It is a mix of Power/lipstick/old costumes with a whift of something modern. It is a perfect combination of elemi/saffron and ambrette seeds. The oud - if it does exists - is very well in the background. And saffron is very gentle as well. No need to splurge on Extrait as the original EdP is not so different. Totally unisex, can be worn by CEO.

Oh Lord! I can't wait to try this. The original EDP is one of the most interesting oud fragrances ever made. The silk/satin etc... moods were kinda the first extension of this but more rosey or amber like or whatever. With a bit of luck this will stick to the original and be like the harshest (in a good way) saffron opening to divine and precious Laotian oud. To be honest the original is potent enough but in the form of a extrait, I'm thinking it could potentially be mind blowing. For one reason or another I never bought MFK Oud despite my love and praise but this version might tip me over the edge despite it being more expensive more than likely.

I own five fragrances from MFK. This is my second from the Oud line. The extrait is a much smoother with fresh oudy, woody spices, freshness and a sweet valnilla undertone. At first spray, this fragrance seem to be very loud but is settles within 30 minutes. Perfect timing for a musky leather to hovers over your skin. This may be a disappointment to real oud lovers. The extrait allows this woody oud sweet musk last for 8-10 hrs staying very close and personal. It doesn't project very loud but the magic is the silage in closed environments and lets not talk about when you are hugged. Great for cool/cold weather during the evening casual or formal.

Very close to Oud EDP, slightly more intense but with no new notes (not to me anyway). It's got more character, more body. If anything, it's a bit creamier but nothing too vanillic. Given the price tag, I'm gonna stick to the EDP, unless it's on sale. Of course, being an extrait it has an eternal longevity - not that performance was ever a problem in MFK's fragrances. The difference between the EDP and the Extrait is not as obvious as it is for BR540 for example. I adore both of them, they have that cloud of clean wealthy latex and beautiful waxy elemi. I'm not paying my taxes this year, all incomes will be automatically transferred to MFK.

I really thought that when I smelled Oud Satin Mood Extrait that I had been to the top of the MFK mountain. Boy was I wrong. I already owned Oud EDP but didnt think it was as good as Oud Satin Mood.....but then I got my hands on Oud Extrait and now I am so torn. Oud Extrait opens with a strong blast of Rose, Oud and Vanilla....but when it begins to dry down, prepare to be amazed at how beautiful this fragrance is and how strong the projection and silage are. If you have Oud EDP, you will NOT be disappointed with a double back to get the Extrait. Its THAT good. I guess that gold plaque on the front means business.

This is my favorite out of the oud line from MFK. Reminds me of sparkling fizzy coca cola. Its way more complex and better then that but if you have smelled a coca cola fragrance this is best one out there. As far as oud it doesn't have any skank and it's the smoothest smelling oud Ive smelled in a long time (Laotion oud is smooth). It's a shame that my wife isn't a fan as this is a scent I'd wear to a nice dinner out. Im debating selling my bottle but is just so damn good. The price is high but performance is amazing, it leaves an intoxicating trail and its just classy. A must sample for sure.

This is my scent of the night. My first MFK perfume. I got this a couple of weeks ago and I really love the presentation. The bottle is simple yet gorgeous and classy, just like the scent itself. I am not that great at sniffing out the notes but more of a how it moves me kinda guy. Also I have not tried the edp so I cannot compare the two. I definitely pick out the saffron and oud, not much else on my skin. Performance is really really good. Lasts easily over 12 hours with great projection. For me this is a great night out scent...even in this hot weather!

My favorite of MFK's oud line. In fact, I'm wearing this to bed now and it is just so beautiful. This is not rosy like Satin Mood. It is crisp thanks to the cedar component. This is no barnyard/pissy oud either; it is very well blended, as well as the others from this line. One spray is enough to send me off to sleep; a little more would be too much. Perfect for cooler weather. I think this is more versatile than Satin Mood as that one commands attention and elegance. This one can get away with a pair of tennis shoes and sweater under a wool coat.

A friend gave me a spray on my arm for test, and from that moment I know I had to get a full bottle of this beauty. The Oud here is so clean and well blended that you can hardly tell that’s it’s there, safe to say that this is the cleanest oud you can wear in any occasion. With 2 sprays it leaves a immense sillage, project for more than 6 hours and it will cling on you til the day after. This and the Satin Extrait are my favorite, haven’t put my nose on Silk yet but one day I will. Scent: 10/10 Sillage: 10/10 Longevity: 10/10

Beautiful! Exquisite blend, best from the brand IMO. Dark, dry (almost powdery) vanillic-woody scent with soft dark spices, musky resinous component is there as well as a little of a soft green nuance. Everything in this scent convinced me it would be unwearable... until I tried it. This is very complex, the opening to me is OK and not the best part but within minutes it opens up and just amazes you. A must try, give it a couple of tests as it can be a little challenging in the opening. The dry down is gorgeous!!!

Without a doubt, this is among the finest ouds available. It utilizes high-quality raw materials where the composition is smooth and well-structured, nicely balanced, making it easy to appreciate. A luxurious experience that is both sophisticated and pleasant. The opening can be harsh for some, especially if one oversprays it, so be careful with the amount you apply. Satin mood gets all the love but this is underrated imo. Great smooth non violent oud. No medicine and no petting zoo in this one and smells like quality ingredients (as do many MFK IMO) The resins, saffron and musk on this is beautiful. It almost smells like chocolate on me with mineral undertones. Longevity is FANTASTIC on me and my skin eats other perfumes and extraits for breakfast. Performance wise this is one of the strongest fragrances I have. One drop of this stuff fills a room! Nuclear performance 💥

This is so far is my best offering from @franciskurkdjian, you'd think things couldn't get better with the edp but here we go! Quality on steroid. The extrait offers more Laotian oud and elemi resins, introduced rich vanilla and musk into the mix, kept the saffron, patchouli and cedar about the same. This is as good as it gets from MFK, quite easy to wear, non-skanky oud, the sweet creamy vanilla blend is genius, it's just on another level, blended to confusion. Luxury in every molecule, perfection!

Very upscale, slightly feminine leaning, beautifully blended. The saffron with the elemi, enveloping the sweet and smooth Laotian Oud makes this one very velvety and sweet in a unique way, I pick up a soft pink rose nuance as well. The clean musk and patchouli are in the background while the sweet floral Oud scent stays throughout making it smell very elegant. Nuclear performance on this, while still being very delicate and subtle at the same time. Must try. One of MFK's best. 8.5/10

I have a bottle from 2018. I opened it last Christmas. This is a masterpiece and I love it the most from the MFK Oud collection. This perfume is brutally strong, thick and oily. It's more masculine in my opinion. The mixing of fragrance notes is masterful, composing a unique fragrance. Very underrated in the fragrance world. Be sure to test before buying because not everyone likes the scent profile. If you like MFK Oud, then it is an excellent choice for a deeper experience.

This is art ladies and gentleman, amazing thing. Just don't expect it to be as potent as Satin mood because it's not. the performance is ok for an Extrait must say, i was expecting more tbh. It's there, the longevity is good but nothing nuclear, Maybe it's better that way. Unlike BR540 Extrait and Satin mood where you have to be careful, with this one you can do 4-5 sprays easily you will not choke anyone, just like for a normal Edp.

This is a very dark and mysterious, metallic, woody scent. The oud in this is boozy, clean and slightly plasticky. There's also a very subtle white floral in the background that adds refinement. Smoothly-blended. I don't see this appealing much to women since it's not sweet at all and very dark, but it's very elegant and red-carpet worthy for men. Smell: 10 out of 10 Longevity: 9 out of 10 Leans masculine For reference, I'm female.

My favourite from the line. The ambrette and cedar add a piney, ozonic, mineral quality to the oud that make it smell so unique. It has the smell of rainwater falling onto rocks down by the lakeside. Then combine that with a beautiful vanilla. Masterpiece. I hope this doesn’t get discontinued too. EDP isn’t even in the same league as this. This is a whole different experience. Phenomenal.

Not surprisingly, it’s very similar to the original. Opening is stronger, but like most higher concentrated fragrances, it settles down with less projection upon drydown. The Extrait is smoother and rounder and the ambrette and vanilla notes quite noticeable. Longevity is similar. The musk + vanilla + ambrette is similar to the type of musk in Dior Homme Intense - iris - cocoa

This is really long-lasting. I wore it today to school, and it didn't disappoint. Some people said they didn't like it, but some really liked it. its like mancera red tobacco, not talking about the smell; I'm talking about the fact that some people like it and some don't. It starts off with an oud musky opening, and you can feel the woddy note. I PERSONALLY like it

The reference of oud. Smells of pure quality. Fantastic. Unisex, but leaning masculine, as opposed to the eau de parfum. This one is a more formal expression of oud compared to the eau de parfum, and my favorite. The vanilla is also perfect as a supporting note (but very present). Much much stronger version of MFK Oud. It is animalic, more pungent and much more daring than the original. This is very masculin, where the original is unisex, with a hint of masculinity. I can smell this is a very high quality fragrance, but much too strong and daring for my taste. Try before you buy and do NOT overspray! You will destroy people's noses.

Very smooth and powdery oud with a beautiful metallic accord to it. For me, this is very potent. It projects amazingly for multiple hours and does not turn into a skin scent early. This smells like an intriguing person with complexity and elegance. That's my best way to describe it haha. Very masculine. 9/10

I own both, the Extrait and the EDP. To my nose, Oud Extrait is the sweet, resinous one (even though the opening is quite harsh) and the EDP is dryer, more woody. Extrait is longer lasting. They are both unisex, however, as a woman I like to wear them with other, more feminine fragrances.

One of the best fragrances ever made for me, I have smelled alot of scents and there isn't many like oud Extrait, can detect there is alot of high quality ingredients in oud Extrait, great sillage and longevity, always get asked what I am wearing with this one, masterpiece

Strong and sweet vanilla opening. Smells like walking into a Jumeirah property in the gulf. Warm and inviting with clear middle eastern roots but an extremely refined sensibility. The oud here is less of an "oud oil" and more that of oud smoke wafting through your ghutra.

MFK's ouds will forever be incredible. I find them the most beautiful and best ouds possible and I don't care if it's a French take on traditional oud. I think this is fresher smelling than the original oud. Both are exquisite. I wish they brought back Oud Cashmere Mood.

A beautiful fragrance. I would say this, when sprayed moderately, gives the feeling of a very rich Dior Homme. I have never smelled DHP, but I do own DHI and can see the similarities. Definitely not a clone but they travel the same path in my opinion.

Opening is rough! But, Just wait and thats a bit lol! How can something start out chlorine and end up gourmand? This thing is amazing! It opens up like black orchid-ish. Not the same. But sharp and stingi like that. But like the ugly duckling.

Beautiful, essential oud. Sweet and formal evening wear not suitable for spring/summer or daytime. Elegant, long lasting, and extremely well formulated. Expensive, but a good value that will last for years as a special occasion scent.

act 1: more medicinal,cough syrup, maybe from a more pushed up note of saffron act 2 : oud edp act 3 :vanillic and musky, a more gourmand side than the dusty edp Long lasting with a heavy sillage. Love it even more than the edp

This is one of the best perfumes I have ever bought in my whole life it's absolutely fantastic. I never had so many people asking me "What are you wearing?" like when I have this on. A true masterpiece 100%

A noxious, cheesey opening gives way to a beautifully blended saffron-forward oud, lovely (after 5 minutes). Sadly I can't wear saffron-forward fragrances as the association is too food-like for my nose.
