Oud

This review is of the Vintage formulation and the Extrait version. Maison Francis Kurkdjian’s Oud is a unisex fragrance that showcases how a refined composition can transform a traditionally bold raw material into something elegant, warm, and deeply alluring. From the very first spritz, Oud announces itself with a spicy, golden brightness, anchored by saffron. This note brings a warm, slightly metallic spice that feels luxurious and intriguing — not merely hot or sharp, but rich and vibrant in a way that signals the fragrance’s deeper complexity to come. Paired with this is elemi resin, a resinous note with citrusy, slightly peppery and balsamic facets. Instead of a simple spice hit, elemi adds lift, sparkle, and an incense-like freshness, which keeps the opening bright and surprisingly modern for an oud scent. Together, saffron and elemi create a seductive entrance that is both radiant and mysterious making you lean in closer rather than step back. Once the top notes evolve, the oud starts to take center stage. But this is not the raw, barnyard or medicinal oud that some traditional ouds deliver. Instead, the oud here is smooth, warm, and subtly leathered, offering a deeply woody heart that feels sensual and sophisticated rather than aggressive. Kurkdjian’s approach to oud here is particularly effective: the saffron’s spice and elemi’s effervescence soften and refine the oud’s natural intensity, embedding it in a richer, more ambery-woody tapestry. This interplay keeps the oud from feeling heavy-handed, instead allowing its deep, resinous warmth to unfold gently on the skin. As the fragrance dries down, the composition settles into a spicy amber-wood accord with soft undertones of cedarwood and patchouli supporting the oud’s richness. This base feels comforting and sensual, emphasizing dry warmth rather than sweetness. The forest-like depth fused with amber’s soft glow makes the scent linger like a memory — alluring but never overwhelming. What makes Oud special and what sets it apart from many other oud fragrances is its use of saffron and elemi to frame and elevate the oud. Rather than using oud as a blunt instrument, Kurkdjian sculpts it: Saffron adds a spicy, luxurious shimmer that feels golden and seductive. Elemi contributes a resinous, citrus-pepper complexity that brightens and lifts. The oud itself is transformed into something smooth, warm, and deeply ambery a sensual wood that invites closeness rather than pushes away. This elegant dance between spice, resin, wood, and amber creates a fragrance that is refined yet magnetic, making it an excellent choice if you want an oud that feels rich, modern, and undeniably seductive. This is where Oud truly shines. Its warm, spicy opening (thanks to saffron and elemi) and deep, refined oud core make it ideal for dinner dates, cocktail parties, theater, concerts, or nights out. The scent’s richness and complexity are best appreciated in the evening when there’s less competing with the heat and bustle of daytime. The scent isn’t flirty and casual, it whispers rather than shouts, which makes it feel more personal and magnetic. MFK Oud performs in a way that mirrors its character: controlled, elegant, and confident rather than loud. On skin, Oud typically lasts a full workday and well into the evening, especially in cooler temperatures. The longevity is driven by the resinous depth of oud, the ambery warmth in the base and the slightly balsamic nature of elemi, which helps anchor the composition. Even after the more volatile top notes soften, the fragrance doesn’t disappear — it settles into a skin-hugging ambery-wood aura that remains noticeable for hours, particularly on fabric. All in all a solid 8/10.

This is a complicated review as this has been absolutely ruined by the lilial ban - so TDLR pre 2022 bottles with purple-ish juice are wonderful. After that forget it. My journey started with an old half evaporated sample from a 2021 batch. I loved it, bought a bottle and instantly regretted it - had a right fuss returning it and working out what went wrong. I've been in possession of bottles from 2025, 2021, 2019 and now 2012. All the pre 2022 ones are fine, the 2025 pale green juice is awful. It has a hint of the old glory but the loss of the bright unlisted lily of the valley note turns it ambery and loses all the beautiful magic of what Kurkdjian described as his masterpiece, it even subdues the already light touch oud. Before that it sings. There's something endlessly fascinating about it as the gooey rich oud twists through floral to smokey resin to finally dark warm soicy woods and I'm poorer but extremely happy to now own quite a bit of it, including a rare and precious OG 2012 white box version - though that has turned dark green with age. It was still sealed so no sun, just age and probably why the dye had changed by the 2019 batch which is like alexandrite and changes colour in natural vs artifical light. Quite a magical effect. First few moments feel a bit of a mess but once your skin warms it the balance is like nothing else - darkly elegant but sparkling bright and never static. Not overly loud or in your face but very much present and you could get away with this anywhere you fancy smelling like a discrete million bucks. The current version is much more just woody spicy and shares it's base with Reflets d'Ambre but lacks the towering edifice of jasmine that dominates that fragrance. It's dull and feels older, like Reflets, but neither of these are young scents. My favourite scent discovery. Can't see myself ever boring of this true masterpiece.

Oud to me is the most comforting scent in the oud line of MFK. I find that it shares the BR540 medicinal, latex DNA. But minus the burnt sugar which is the only thing that prevented me from enjoying BR540. I find it hard to describe Oud ! The saffron is not as dry and sharp as it is elsewhere in MFK’s fragrances. It’s very softened down by the prominent benzoin-like elemi. I feel crazy for not spotting the patchouli ! Like many said below, it is airy, slightly metallic on the opening and oh-so-fluffly-creamy! The drydown of Oud is fantastic and frankly way better than the opening. I feel like I’m on a cloud when I wear it, really like being surrounded with cottony materials or wrapped like a burrito in silk sheets. Urghhhhh. When I’m at the office and it gets stressful or heated up, I’m religiously pull out my Oud sample from the drawer and poufff away are my problems. Crazy cause cedar saffron and oud typically aren’t comforting, bubbly or cozy scents. But they are blended in such a way here that I just feel great and calm. Beautiful performance, wraps my whole self in a bubble but doesn’t attack people around me. Lasts for days on my clothes as well. I feel like it’s a tiny bit more feminine than masculine, but in no way would I find it weird should a man wear it. A mature scent - would not picture this on everyone. Absolutely versatile in terms of occasions of wear although I feel obligated to highlight its particularly clean and wealthy aura. Full bottle worthy for MFK addicts. However, if you hated BR540, there’s a chance you won’t like this one as it does bear the same DNA. Oud is like the calmer sibling in the family, not sweet or sharp, but still medicinal. Needs sampling if you’re of that category!

Monsieur Kurkdjian doesn’t need an introduction,almost everyone in the community knows his name. He’s my favorite nose,I really like his own fragrance house and the scents he created for designer houses as well. I‘ve owned almost all of his perfumes in a sample (from his niche house) and I gotta tell you that except for 2,I would happily accept and use up all of them. This one at first try (around the beginning of May) was pretty underwhelming for me, I expected so much more. In my opinion it needs warmer weather to show its charm. I don’t really like oud, I know it has many aspects to it and I appreciate them however I would not like to smell it on me. But this is a beauty. It just reminds me of a pool somehow,it gives me the experience I expected of So blue by Mancera. It’s dry ,very clean,and very very blue (I know it sounds weird but that’s my impression ). It’s slightly sweet and it is the kind of oud that slightly smells like pencil shavings but it’s so much better! It can not be explained really. It’s an ethereal scent but it does have a weight to it. It’s dreamy and very romantic yet very versatile.It might fit to a romantic walk in the desert under the stars but it might be a good company on a board meeting or in the court room. It’s soothing and also empowering. Longevity is really good 8-10 hours,sillage is soft on me. On my dad however it was a beast. Another great piece from MFK.

MFK - Oud The phrase i think i Coined - "European Oud" seems to ring true here. much like other high end french brands like Creed, MEMO and some Kilian's ... they create these OUD based scents that lack the harsh, sharp, in your face punch of OUD thats so dominant in other true oud fragrances. rather than being the headlining note - they are used more to balance out the fragrance and elevate it. This couldn't be anymore true here. OUD by MFK is a Cedar, Saffron, Incense with a light oudy base. this fragrance Screams luxury. Not so much my words, but other around me who smelt my silage. "expensive" seems to be the most common description. followed by woody, classy and ... rich old person. Usually i'm all for expensive Niche fragrances when they perform exceptionally well. MFK's Satin Mood OUD is a good example of this... eternal longevity with beastly projection for a good while from just 2 sprays makes $220 USD justifiable. Not in this case, I got 1 hour of good projection, and from their it slowly tapered off. By the 4th hour it was a skin scent. After 6 hours my wife could barely detect it on my neck. I LOVE the scent - its arguably the best formal scent - but i'm going to stick to the 11-ML travel size so I can keep it in my jacket & Re-Apply when needed.

As has been said a thousand times, this is definitely not as oudy as the assertive name suggests! By nature, oud is somewhat dirty, heavy and rich. Here it's made soapy clean, airy and dry. That makes oud a background character, with supporting notes doing most of the acting. This is oud for a white Parisian penthouse apartment. Kurkdjian's love for clean and pretty simplistic polished things shows here. If I had to describe the scent, I'd say it's 45% waxy unscented soap bar, 20% cold minty aromaticness, 20% licorice and 10% dry woodiness. That's obviously not the note breakdown. But it's how my nose registers the combination of notes here! Squeaky soapy clean, dry, cold in an aromatic way. Quality is amazing as with all MFK frags I've tried. No matter how close I sniff, the scent never falls apart or shows any rough edges. As for occasions, I think this is a great signature. Very unique yet clean and wearable. I don't see this ever getting cloying. If anything, it could bloom in heat and become more of a rich oud than a waxy soap bar. Performance isn't incredible due to airy soapy notes being so prominent. But it's good for what this is. I think this is my second favorite from MFK after BR540!

Without doubt the best Oud centric fragrance(with Oud in the name) I've ever smelled. Saffron & elemi compliment it beautifully and make for a subtle and gorgeously smooth scent. The patchouli in this is handled really carefully and works as a catalyst for other notes rather than being too harsh. Francis Kurkdjian has some amazing fragrances under his own banner not to mention his legendary status with other houses...This one is a favourite of mine and yet another expensive niche fragrance I desperately want but can't afford. Oh well maybe one day. Update: Tried Armani Prive Royal Oud and I have to say it's another smooth and stripped back composition which lets the Oud really take centre stage and put me in mind of this one...Praise indeed! Re update: Having had a chance to sample royal Oud again although it's nice and has saffron in, It's not a patch on this. I adore this fragrance and even though it's £195 for 70ml I will have to bite the bullet at some stage and get it, too good to miss out on.

I got 3 samples of this in summer and all I smelled was "pencil shavings." I was really disappointed, particularly because I thought the sales associate had given me Oud Satin Mood and not this. I couldn't get past the pencil shaving smell and swore this would go in the back of the sample pile. But now that I'm in the belly of a Chicago winter I tried it again. It's a dream in cold weather. I cannot believe how much more lovely this scent is to me now. The oud and cedar are secondary to the saffron and elemi but it all blends beautifully. Oud also layers well with sweeter fragrances, particularly rose. Not sure I'll purchase a full bottle once these samples are gone, particularly if this fragrance is really only suitable for one season, but I'm definitely glad my nose had a change of heart. It really is a lovely fragrance and I'm more inspired than ever to try the Oud Satin Mood I was originally coveting!

This a refined oud that is different to the one that comes from Middle Eastern houses. The perfume opens with a very strong rubbery medicinal smell that shocks the system. But that pungent opening quickly dissolves into a softer more beautiful and well balanced scent. This is where the patchouli and saffron start to shine through. The perfume is very sexy and smelling this on anyone will definitely turn heads. It’s definitely worth a purchase in my opinion as it exhibits French perfume mastery. I’d test it on skin before committing as it can be jarring to the untrained nose or to those who prefer sickly sweet perfumes. People in the Middle East wear oud / bakhoor all year round in really hot temperatures so I don’t really buy into the argument that oud perfumes are only a winter or a night time thing but each to their own.

Gorgeous smell, I keep sniffing my wrist and it somehow attracts me to sniff again and again. Very well balanced and refined, never smelled anything like that, very very unique. Lasts for hours and hours on my skin with a single spritz. I can smell it from blotter strip after 1 week. Haven't got the chance to give it a full wear but to me this is an all year, all season, signature worthy fragrance. Very unisex, any man can wear with confidence yet any women can wear too. I am in search for a classy, formal, moderate to warm weather niche fragrance and currently this is my no.1 out of other approx 20 niche fragrances tested. Price is very good as well, you get 70ml for less than 200 euros which is way better than any Tom Ford for instance. My second is Naxos - very well priced for the quality you get too.

Some comments described this as creamy. On me however I don't feel that it is a creamy fragrance. It's fresh. A fresh oud. I like. I do agree that oud here is an accent. It's not the main theme but it's an accent that puts the whole thing together. Fresh. Sophisticated.versatile. suited for everyday use. Day or night. Unisex leaning towards masculine. But I like that. I wear it to work. But I don't think I'll wear it to a date. (My first encounter with this perfume was when I was standing in line to get a drink at a live event and someone smelt amazing and I kept sniffing and it was the woman behind me. I asked her and she told me she's wearing this. Have to admit I recall on her it smelt more feminine. Chemistry I guess)

Not what I was expecting. I got a sample of this from lucky scent after buying some Satin Mood extrait for my wife for Mother's Day. But I really like this a lot. For me I really pick up the leathery and metallic accords, and these are what seems to stand out, at least on my skin. Nobody really seems to agree with me (otherwise it would be mentioned somewhere) but I find this to be quite ozonic. The rest of the fragrance is so well balanced it's difficult to pick out other specific notes... but outside of the forward ozonic leathery metallic scent I get, it's somewhat soft and sweet underneath. I'm going to want some of this at some point. I'd say it's definitely masculine leaning.

The elemi and saffron dominate, combining to make a fluffy, clean, slightly citrusy Italian profile smell. It’s like a phantom pain lavender, almost slightly watery. The woody notes kind of float effervescently. It is definitely herbaceous but not in the traditional patchouli way. It almost carries the smell of fresh linens in a tropical greenhouse. Well blended enough to not sit comfortably in any category or play to any single note. The name can be misleading as it is definitely not a traditional oud smell. Overall transformative, beautiful and love at first smell for me. Kind of a beastmode fragrance performance-wise. I can usually smell this on my skin the next day no problem.

I don’t know why it took me so long to finally wear this sample, I’ve had it for over a year. I think the simply stated name, “Oud” scared me (thinking it might be too much for me). But here it is lightly blended into a delicious composition with saffron in the opening, then elemi and spices in the middle. I’m completely blown away, I love this so much. I think this is eclipsing my other MFK favorite: Oud Satin Mood EDP. That one is a beast in terms of projection and longevity, while Oud is a little quieter. It feels more sophisticated, but still a solid performer. Overall this is very natural, I can imagine wearing it often. An 11ml is on its way.

CLEEEAAN, spicy, resinous woody oud scent. Much wearable than other oud scent profile, more wearable than tf oud wood. I mean this is just harsh on the bottle but the drydown smells like resins. reminds me of grand soir but not powdery. This is also a different take on elemi. This smells like clean wood. Very SMOOOOOTH, bright, and ELEGANT and modern. Too many untrained nose sniffing oud, saffron, and patchouli here and complain about medicine, burnt rubber, hospital, herbal earth. If you are not ready for exotic perfumes yet, please stick to your designers. I struggle with oud before, MFK taught my nose to appreciate oud.

A very interesting approach to the OUD smell here. If I had to describe this in simple words, I would say that this is a caramel oud. I don't know if this is the most accurate description that I can give but this is what it comes to my mind whenever I try this. Not too loud, not too medicinal, not too much rosy. Simply amazing! Francis Kourkdjian is an amazing perfumer and has done a terrific job here. It is the most wearable oud perfume I have ever tried. Huge love from me. *This review was written after several full wearings of the perfume and not just after smelling this on paper or on wrist.

If the standard barnyard Oud is a lumberjack, then this Oud is a stylish gay man from San Francisco. He's wealthy, handsome, polished. Finally an Oud I love (I usually need the rose note to soften it). This is incredibly well blended and refined. Out of all the MFK fragrances, I can't believe this one does not get more love. It's squeaky clean, resinous, medicinal, understated, classy. It's very unisex- has a big-time component of that je-ne-sais-quoi. Is the smell a fragrance? Is it a mixture of your soap + hair pomade? They'll never know. Love love it. Signature scent worthy.

Firstly, this couldn't be further from "oud" quite honestly. But..... It's a wonderful perfume, and of all the MFKs that haven't been discontinued, it's one of the best. It's a delicate, shimmering saffron/elemi fizz which goes to clean patchouli in the mid, then a sweet vanillic woody base after a few hours. It's totally inoffensive but without being boring, and it's one of the few in my collection that I wear on consecutive days. This and Oud Silk Mood EDP (which is the same thing plus rose and chamomile basically) are a solid pair with a cohesive effect. I love them both.

A beautiful and simple oud fragrance, as it’s called. The oud in this is very clean and warm; it’s amber-like and not really animalic or powdery, and is only complemented by a subtle floral saffron and a spice from elemi. Seems to me it lasts for around 5-6 hours but can really smell it for the first couple hours until it dries down pretty linearly which isn’t really a bad thing. This is my first MFK fragrance I’ve tried and it’s definitely got me piqued to try the other oud fragrances since this one seems to be the most “basic”, but could definitely see myself buying this.

Been wanting this for a while after getting a 2ml sample with my Br540 purchase a couple years ago. Clean, clinical, sophisticated oud. An MFK scent no doubt. Also, stays pretty linear if I’m honest, but I love it so that’s ok. On me it lasted forever. I smelled it on myself as I showered the next day. Only one spray directly onto my chest under a shirt. It was the oud I’d buy if I were to buy an oud, and it’s the oud that I bought. I enjoy it more with each new wearing. I’d very much advise against a blind buy unless you’re loaded or you’re really into all things oud.

I have prob reviewed this before. I bought this in 2012 when it first came out. I sniffed them all. I was nose blind. I walked the mall & sniffed coffee beans. This won. The only other one I bought was Aqua Celestia, & that's all I have from this house. BR540 would have destroyed me from even glancing their way. Luckily I didnt smell it til later & hated it, & hate it to this day. Cloud, anyyyything that smells like it. Oud has actually been around since even before this. I have one from 2003. 20 yrs ago. This is gorgeous. Not overdone & not medicinal. 10 out of 10.

Smells like a “luxury hospital”... but in a good way. I absolutely love Francis Kurkdijan’s interpretation of oud. Very clean, almost sterile and antiseptic, fresh and lightly sweetened wood. Whatever thoughts you have about oud, throw them out the window because this ain’t that. Unlike any Oud fragrance I’ve ever smelled and I’ve smelled hundreds. There’s no oud like this. So much so, some might even wonder if this fragrance even has oud in it. Still, very lovely 🥰 but I don’t think it will be for everyone. Sample before you buy. Not blind buy safe.

This was so fucking expensive and I bought the full size on impulse but it smells amazing, woody and sweet and medicinal. It also lasts a really long time especially if you spray it on clothing, I’ll put on a sweater and catch whiffs of it from 2 weeks ago. The fragrance is really classic and sexy and wears well regardless of the season, I’m excited to wear it during winter and fall. It’s also one of the only frags that I don’t go oder blind to during the wear time, I’ll catch random whiffs of it late in the day reminding me it’s still there.

My favorite MFK. This is a very unisex scent, more masculine version of satin mood imo. Smells of minty pine, smooth woods, suede, dried rose petals and light/not viscous resins. Wears very light/airy, suave, fresh and dark at the same time. Elegant but not pretentious. Unique and intriguing while being approachable. Definitely a fall, heavy peacoat, nice boots and a scarf vibe to me. Longevity slightly above average. Great scent trail and will project well after about 7 sprays. I give this a 9/10. My type of stuff here!

This one was a challenge for me even after all the nich and designers fragrances that I had or have. First it was some strange "granny" vibe. The more I wear it the more I was starting to see the beauty in MFK Oud . It's still strange that I needed to unpack this fragrance after all the animalic,dry amber, ambergris fragrances I tried. One thing wrong ppl clicked but never actually tried Oud is "for winter". Winter will eat this fragrance. Wear it whenever you like but not on winter. One thing lacking ... performance.

This, to my modest and untrained nose, seems very similar to Baccarat Rouge 540 for its incense-like and sugar notes, but with a difference which is the oud. This is not an indolic oud which might have some disappointed but for me personally it's beautiful, rich and multi-faceted. It smells like being in the forest in the rain, fumes from a not so distant fire, moss and generally earthy aromas rising off the ground. I cannot judge whether it's worth the price but I can admire from afar what I consider a work of art.

Oud is a very groovy note among the infinite world of aromas. It can be just as sublime as it is grim and quite tenacious. Francis Kurkdjian Oud is very opulent, opening with a moderately sweet, resinous Laotian oud, loved on just right by Atlas cedar. Indonesian patchouli gives the composition a tinge of intimacy (my favorite aphrodisiac), leaving you with a lingering burst of saffron. Dark, sexy and charismatic with stellar performance. My only regret? Not getting the Extrait de Parfum.

The opening is like walking through a beautiful yellow/orange-coloured forest on a chilly, but sunny autumn morning. The dry down reminds me of freshly cut tree logs, laying next to a forest trail. It is a soft, safe fragrance and I do not get any oud. The quality is top-notch, like all MFK fragrances. I was about to buy a big bottle, before I decided to let my girlfriend smell it. She totally hates it. Good thing I did not take a second mortgage for a 200ml bottle.

Out of all the MFK Oud collection, this one is a quintessential Oud. It is so clean, not a note of sweetness, which makes it more masculine leaning. At the same time, I love wearing it on myself. The Oud is inexplicably addicting, mysterious and spiritual. The cedar is a pretty prominent note, too, setting the oud solidly within the woody frame. So happy to find an oud fragrance that does not try to offset it by rose or some other appeasing scent. Let the oud shine!

MFK's Oud is a very airy and bright take on oud, something that I would personally wear only during the warmer months. Indeed, the scent evokes a feeling of strolling down a beach boulevard somewhere in Barcelona in me - don't ask me why, I can't put my finger on it either, but that's the mental image I get when smelling it! Very unique, very elegant. Better worn dressed up, or at least with classy clothes. A full bottle is definitely on my radard.

I completely agree with the previous review. This is an oud you would gladly take home to your conservative parents. This is an oud that wants to be liked and will show unconditional kindness to you. This isn't a problem for me. There are so many filthy/dirty/funky oud perfumes and attars that I love for that reason, but this is an oud that I love because it is so easy to do so. That's not something I could ever dislike about a fragrance.

The opening for me was ok nothing to rave about. It wasn't until the dry down it started to shine and I was blown away. If you're an oud lover you have to give this one a shot. This is an aromatic, leathery, classy oud. This might have some floral nuances in the background but it's not floral what so ever.Totally under rated compare to "Satin" or "Silk". Performance is moderate for most part and projects well with light sprays.

Wow, this is stunning. I ordered Oud Satin Mood directly from Kurkdjian's site, and requested Oud and Oud Silk Mood as samples. I just sprayed two sprays of Oud, and i am in heaven. I do agree it leans feminine, and the name is quite puzzling, since i i am not able to smell any Oud in here. This just .... is. Hard to describe. If warmth had a smell, it would smell like this. I have to have a full bottle of this. Just have to.😌

No prefumier has done oud like this. The fragrance started me on my oud journey. After three years of experiencing eastern and western oud fragrances, no other comes close to this expression. Thus far this has been a truely unique experience. This isn't the harsh oud, spicey oud or the oud well blend with fruits and flowers. Its floral succulent, luscious, and plump experience. Definitely one that should be in your collection.

Bright and beautiful. It is potent but charming: it makes its presence known but without being rude. It is both a lunch and dinner date, a polo and a tuxedo. This oud is pungent and fruity, but not cloying. One of the most beautiful and balanced (imo) scents I have nosed, the only letdown is the longevity. I got about 6 hours before the interesting qualities faded and I was left with a sweet, resinous, woody base.

A totally refined smell. An oud nothing aggressive, fine, sophisticated ... it goes back to something luxurious. The saffron of a slight sweetness that even sends to some wild fruit. Oud MFK and Aventus today, are my two favorite fragrances. Excellent fixation. After 8-10 hours my wife still praises the smell. Medium projection, equivalent to the luxury it conveys, subtle and discreet.

This is the second most accessible MFK Oud, Oud Satin Mood being the first, with its Vanillic drydown. By contrast this Oud has a bit of a fruity aspect, usually not my favorite quality in a scent, but here it contrasts with the dark oud in a lovely way, not sweet but uplifting. EDIT: The fruity aspect is starting to bug me, more sour than tart, it doesn't suit my every mood ....

It is a perfect blend of dry, sweet and spicy. The Elemi gives it a cleanness and a snap that's just irresistible. The frag has an oud-y touch, but the patchouli, cedar and saffron are so cocooning and warm. The minute I can afford a whole bottle, I'm getting one. The wearer is a business executive with an eclectic eye for art, food and music in his personal life. 8.5/10

A masterpiece.My wife hates oud and heavy perfumes. For MFK oud , even she loves this soo much.This is absolutely fine art.Silage is average, longetivity is high.Unique and new generation perfume.I used to wear lumiere noir from MFK.Unlike many reviewers , it was an above average perfume for me.But this one is some kind of a magic.RESPECT!!

so, i have this robe from restoration hardware -- it's a soft, plush robe in indigo, it’s warm and luxurious and cuddly. oud by mfk feels like the scent embodiment of that robe - elegant but cozy, something to slip into and stay inside. there are no hard edges to this one -- it's an oud that wants to be your friend, likeable and addicting.

Sorry but what I get is a storeroom full of oranges among other fruits. Fruit-aisle smell rarely conjures up a sense of luxury in my world! Edit: Although my harsh words I do appreciate the scent for its ethereal quality. It does project well. Never weights you down. Edit: Now it's one of my favourite. The quality is out of this world!

Oud scents usually aren’t my thing — especially agarwood, which is one of my least favorite notes. But this one is an exception. The vibrant scent of saffron is a delight to my nose, softening the harshness I normally associate with agarwood. I actually prefer it over the extrait version, and for me, this is Kurkdjian’s No.1 perfume.

My opinion might be a bit biased right now but drunk me is in love with this fragrance. It’s like I just walked into a very expensive literature conscious clothing store if that makes any sense! It is beautiful and probably will turn into my signature scent !!! In simple words it smells like very expensive sandalwoody ink!!!

Unlike many people, I genuinely find this perfume very creative. It’s an elegant, creamy, and comforting fragrance. Many people mention that it doesn’t smell like oud, but the reality is that perhaps 95% of the so-called oud perfumes on the market don’t contain real oud wood anyway. Big love.

I bought several different oud fragrance samples. This one has a sweet floral opening on my skin that seems to waft in waves on this hot summer day. It would be fascinating to try this in different weather conditions to see how it changes. This one seems the most wearable for everyday wear.

I own both, the Extrait and the EDP. To my nose, Oud Extrait is the sweet, resinous one (even though the opening is quite harsh) and the EDP is dryer, more woody. Extrait is longer lasting. They are both unisex, however, as a woman I like to wear them with other, more feminine fragrances.

One of my favorites from the Oud line and my girlfriend's favorite on me... Unisex Bright Crisp I will admit it took me a couple tries to really enjoy it so if you're on the fence on this give it some time. Been meaning to try Montale's Aoud Melody since I hear it's so similar..

It doesn't smells like oud, it smells like floral, woody, creamy on the skin. Patchouli, cypriol, vanilla, cedar and floral notes gives a rich and chic character to this composition. Very good, classy and soft. This is one of the best woody perfume in my opinion.

I just bought me another 200ml bottle of it. This is officially my most bought perfume ever! Distinct, beautiful and unique.. I actually like the fact that not a lot of people wear it, keeps the mystery rolling. Also it is my most complimented fragrance!!

I'm not a fan of oud or saffron. But this is just a fine fragrance. The name is definitely misleading as this fragrance is all about saffron, cedar, patchouli, and creamy elemi in the best possible way. MFK did an excellent job on this one.
