Lattedoro

An artistic interpretation of a special kind of gourmand! Lattedoro is the equivalent in perfumes of a delicious spiced chai latte bought from the highest quality coffee shop. It’s a very lactonic, smooth and creamy fragrance! A bit powdery. Scrumptious to the max, I think it’s very, very close to Italica’s level of goodness. A fluffy scent that envelops you on a cold day to warm your soul! Imagine you are ordering during fall season a chai latte. You can smell all those warm spicy aromas floating in the air while the barista is preparing your order with fresh milk, a pump of vanilla or coconut syrup and a pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg on top of your cup! This is where Lattedoro transports me! Coffee shops during the autumn months! Fall, coziness, spices, relaxation, calming atmosphere. This is what I’ve thought/wanted Coffee Break from MMM to smell like... Not smelled anything so particular. Multi faceted gourmand for fall, without heavy amber and resins, without patchouli, without cold iris, without leather! Very feminine and alluring! Long lasting but moderate sillage. Not similar at all with BDK Gris Charnel from my perspective!

This is a beautifully done lactonic, cinnamon, creamy, slightly leathery goodness. At first all I smelled was cinnamon, then a minute later that milky, creamy, frothiness starts to come through. The cinnamon is strong here for an hour, so if that’s not your jam you might not like it. I can’t stop smelling myself! I can see myself wearing this all year round. Probably more appropriate at night, but I’ll also wear it during the day, why not?! I bought a decant of this after watching a YouTuber give her take on lactonic fragrances and I’m so happy I tried it. I just bought a full bottle (which was a bit hard to come across btw). I hope the brand didn’t discontinue it. It’s lovely.

"If I close my eyes, I can clearly see a steaming cup of Chai tea with a splash of milk: warm, spiced, I can perfectly feel the balance of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, coconut, vanilla, milk, and turmeric; none stands out more than the others, all are perfectly blended, the measurements are exact, all and none are the protagonists. Suddenly, I feel flashes of a creamy leather and sandalwood. It’s a perfume that embraces me on a cold day, giving me a sense of peace and nostalgia. It wraps around me like a blanket."

Very lovely perfume. I can smell both the turmeric and the nutmeg in the opening, which I didn’t like in the beginning because it reminds me of a curry dish and that’s not my cup of tea. However the turmeric goes away pretty early and the perfume evolves beautifully. I can’t always appreciate a perfume evolution unfortunately but here I can. It’s sweet and rich, warm and cozy gorgeous gourmand. Plus, the longevity is great. Still haven’t decided on a full bottle, will do some more tests.

A gourmand done with a soul. Ginger and cinnamon biscuits dipped in milk and a touch of sexiness from the other spices. Very lively and easy to wear, a beauty really.
