Amber & Fig

I’M. IN. LOVE. I’ve sprayed it and got tons of emotions in a minute! Usually nutty frags are not my cup of tea, I don’t like nuts in general and in perfumery, but other notes in this one sounded so attractive... Yes, it has a clear Raffaello note and it makes me ewgh, but I’m in delight about the whole scene. I’m a fan of fig frags, meaning with any part of this perfect tree. And here I smell clear fig leaves. It’s a sharp note, even pungent, a perfection! It’s so real, so breathtakingly alive. Pure fig leaves!.. Pink pepper becomes one of my fav notes, indeed. It always makes a good add-on to the whole scene of a well-blended frag. Sandalwood is so creamy here, but it doesn’t give me nausea as most of creamy scents. Jasmine mixed with benzoin is an interesting combo, I’ve never thought of it existence at all, but I totally like it. I adore frags that give me scenes to discover and this one is one of those. It’s like walking slowly in the fig trees’ alley in the afternoon, lazily exploring the southern town you’ve arrived to. It’s somewhere in Tenerife, I guess.

One more time i am trying a new gem by la el perfumes. In this case we find a very nice ambery perfume. It is sweet and resinous but not cloying. The fig here is very dry and Green, i dont know if It has the fruity ir only the leaves but It smells more like leaves than than fruits. This brand remember me a lot to jo Malone London but with better quality and, overall, much better performance. I am trying the edp but they offer an extrait versión as Well. Very good option for daytime use avoiding i think Hot days of summer. Totally unisex. Scent: 9.5 Longevity: 8 Sillage: 6 Quality/price: 7 Versatility: 9 Originality: 8.5 Global: 9

From start to finish this is super well blended. In the top there's some tangy citrus and green fig leaf. The milky almond (honestly, at times it makes me think more of coconut milk or something) and jasmine are easy to pick out, and the woody sweet base doesn't overwhelm the rest of the notes. My one complaint is that the fig note in this comes off as something more akin to some kind of other fruit. It's very milky and lacking in a strong green note to give the fig impression. Be warned, this isn't a fig like you'd get from debaser or philosykos. Leans a bit femme to my nose.

I grow fig trees and snapped off a twig to compare the smell to this fragrance. I was so impressed at how well Amber & Fig resembled the true scent of fig wood. As the fragrance mellows out, the creamy base comes through, really balancing the green/fresh top notes. There is a touch of something nutty, but it's subtle. I get about 3hrs out if a single spray and am quickly working my way through my bottle. This is my first fragrance from Angela Ciampagna and I know I'll purchase it again and likely explore her other offerings.

Forget Fig Porn, Fig Érotique, fig whatever. This is the only fig you’ll ever need. The opening is pure Eden: the freshest, lushest, dew-drops-on-fig-leaf fantasy - like...yeah... the original dress code. Then it melts on skin into the creamiest, juiciest, ripest fig you’ve ever tasted. The amber gives it depth, and that forbidden bite that makes you keep going back. I sprayed it 12 hours ago and I still can’t stop smelling my wrist. This fragrance can turn innocent souls into sinners.

More ambery on drydown and greener on spray, I always get that anytime I spray. Note breakdown is reliable. The name itself tells the story, a harmonic combination of the two main notes, I bought the full bottle, and have been using it for about a month, still haven't tired of the smell. An unique fragrance and definately worth buying.

Why the heck does this smell like pandan to me? 🤣
