Maltol & Cinnamon

First test on paper: The opening is a blast of cinnamon, caramel and maltol. Drying down, a very strong benzoin note surfaces, which then dominates the scent together with musk. Cinnamon is still noteable at this point and a very demure vanilla note. On my sampling paper this turned out very balsamic. More of a male scent. I'd prefer it to be softer. In it's vibe and some of the notes now reminds me of perfumes like Grand Soir and Obsession (femme). Second test on skin: Doesn't turn out as smoky in the drydown as it did on the blotter, which I'm really happy about. Instead it remains warm and glowy with a beautiful cinnamon note, that's warm and soft, not hot/spicy. I'm not really getting much of the fruity notes - maybe some of the blackberry's jammy richness, without being juicy or tart. Vanilla lends a bit of sweetness, very nice. The smokiness is very soft and enjoyable. Still has a slight resemblance to Grand Soir, but isn't as aftershavey and feels more complex to me. Also a resemblance with Obsession for her, but a lot less loud and edgy. Love wearing this under a cozy woolen pullover or just a sweater for added comfort. Personally wouldn't say this is a gourmand, but does have gourmandy aspects. Six hours after applying it's settled into a nice skin scent, but still easily detectable.

First spray is very similar to Alambar and my mind goes...hm Amber, hm no, but it quickly develops into something else and it’s more rounded and softer than Alambar. More cinnamon. It get a nutty warm spicy feeling. It has minor similarities to Obsession but it it’s own special blend. This one is a keeper, luxurious and warm, sweet but not cloying. I wanted to try another Maltol perfume since I love L’artisan parfumeur Mandarina Corsica and I choose this one. I have no regrets. Wonderful perfume. Don’t overspray! A little goes a long way.

I might sound a bit biased, as I’m already on my second bottle and reach for this fragrance most often—but it never gets boring. The scent is sweet, warmed by a touch of cinnamon spice. If I had to describe it in just two words, it would be a sexy bakery. This fragrance carries sensuality, refinement, and coziness, while remaining playful thanks to the cinnamon and berries. I truly can’t get enough of it and am so happy I discovered this scent. The bottle has a nice design.

I liked it a lot. A high quality perfume based mainly on the note of cinnamon. But it does not contain an oversized or overwhelming cinnamon but a soft and very bearable cinnamon. Well well well. My what an absolutely astonishing creation and blend by Angela Ciampagna!!! She did an outstanding job on this lovely gourmand composition. Very sweet and invigorating. I wear my fragrances to my liking not according to SEASONS. This is a must buy for gourmand lovers 😎❤️ .

Weirdly, this smells like bubble gum (nearly Hubba Bubba) to me, the entire life of the fragrance!! 🤨 I get STRONG fruits (mostly currant), and a nice calm level of cinnamon (mostly coming through as 'warmth', which is a weird description, I know!). There's lots of sweetness, but not in a burn-your-nostrils kind of way (I can't generally smell the typical 'caramel' note, and here is no exception). I smell no vanilla or musk in the fragrance, and in the drydown, I could swear I smell frankincense. I love gourmands, so it's a pleasant amount of sweetness for me--but be warned: if you don't enjoy sweet scents, you just might hate this! This is far sweeter, and imho leans way more 'feminine' than something like JGP "Le Male" or V&R "Spicebomb", if that's helpful.

Don't get this perfume wrong. It is not as innocent as one could think looking at the name. First off it smells like bubbly sweetness, cosy, comforting, easy but as time passes the base with its dark cinnamon (and other dark components) is dominating the scent, making it smell almost vintage/classic. I had to look up if Shalimar contains cinnamon since it became so similar. It smells almost smoky. Unisex deepness with a light opening. I love the name also. More molecule based names please!

This is a perfume that you have to let dry down in order to feel its power. To me, the opening is really strong synthetic cinnamon, kinda reminding of an old lady. Five to ten minutes later it starts to settle to this beautiful mature cozy sweet aroma that is also really seductive. It is not to be worn by young girls, I imagine a sexy woman, wearing heels and this perfume. Finally this perfume's drydown to me is 95% identical to Dior Tobacolor

I tested this on a strip only. Cinnamon is nice and smooth, not overwhelming. On there it smells a bit like pecan pie. Not overtly sweet, so it may also please those who are familiarising themselves with gourmey scents. Not particularly unique or special enough to warrant a full bottle. Easily unisex as well.

The opening has a sweet touch, a mix between macaron and sweet resin. As it dries, it leaves behind a dark sweet. It reminds me a lot of musc ravageur, maybe because of that touch of vanilla. For the price, the quality of the fragrance is incredible, you can tell that it uses quality ingredients.

This is walking past the kiosk in the mall that sells cinnamon roasted almonds during the holidays. The dry down seems to get a little powdery almost like almond-y baby wipes (if that were even a thing). One or 2 sprays is enough. This could become overwhelming but it’s beautiful.

Test on paper: Warm spicy, sweet like when you bite into a berry, male leaning On skin: VERY buttery, vanilla scent, still that sweet berry, maybe even too gourmand By its own I kinda dislike it, but with layering it will be a different story

Masterpiece. Very deep and complex scent.

This doesn't strike me as super edible like a cookie or something.... The cinnamon and maltol play a big role, but it's got some other woody and fruity facets that make it interesting. It's slightly gourmand but has enough sandalwood to keep it from fully becoming gourmand. It feels like it darkens a bit and becomes more woody in the drydown. Maybe a bit femme leaning since it's a tad sweet. Good for colder weather. Performance is good.
