No.12 Bousval

Goodness, is this beautiful! I don't remember the smell of Phlur's Moab (and no longer have that sample vial), but if anyone knows anything else similar to this, please update! On my skin: Cardamom! This is so beautiful and fresh, spicy and a little powdery. I don't get much citrus, but I do think it's keeping this light and fresh with the heliotrope and moss. Cedar, amber and myrrh are light and lovely. Dries down to something more woody quickly, but it's still a comforting scent. Gorgeous! I try to pic up the eucalyptus leaves but I think it's background. I get mainly cardamom, cedar and very gentle myrrh. Dries to a very soft spicy powdery fragrance. Final drydown is just myrrh on me. On a test strip: Wow it's different! Fresh and I get a more evergreen citrus scent. Colder. I'd love this form in cold weather if it performed this way on my skin. Airy and vibrant. I think there's more ginger and petitgrain here. Cardamom is coming forward and the oak moss and musk are very present. Mostly bergamot, ginger and petitgrain. Waiting for powder. It becomes the same spicy cardamom cedar I had on my arm, but not as warm and cozy (which is ok!). More vibrant and fresh spicy here. Really nice! Reminds me a little of Kenzo L'elepant but earthier, colder and not as sweet. This is sweet in the spice sense. (It's been a while since I wore L'elephant, so I could be very mistaken here). Addictive on the strip. On my arm this settles too quickly. If it performed the way it does on the test strip, this would be perfection. Final drydown: it's the heliotrope + bergamot on cedar. It's still airy, fresh and spicy, powdery and full of light. I love this in both experiences. It's uplifting and open. I would wear this year round (I think!). Truly unisex. If you want something that is clean, airy and smells awesome, try Maison Louis Marie's line. Your note preferences and body chemistry will make the decision for you. I can't imagine someone not finding a single scent they would enjoy on themselves from this house. I have a discovery spray set and find it crazy that people say the scents all smell the same. Not at all. And Bousval is really stunning.

It’s a warm citrus for the powdery floral lover. As someone who shies away from amber, I find it just fresh enough for a perfect balance. On my skin, it almost reminds me of baby wipes in the best way. Throughout the day, the florals start to subtly catch your attention.
