Autumn Vibes

a strange and mysterious conoction. got the mmr autumn discovery set a few years back (autumn vibes, jazz club, by the fireplace & lazy shnday morning), those little vial bottles with no spray system, and ended up loving all of them with plans to procure full bottles upon finishing up the small ones. autumn vibes and jazz club i'm still on the small vial bottles because they're very occasion wear to me: autumn vibes is very much scary witch from the forest, but it's primarily a leafy forest in october/november. very evocative of rotting leaves until you identify the carrot seed note, then upon understanding of the carrotiness it becomes less mysterious. but if you don't tell people there's carrot elements to the scent it's really strange and hard to place in the best way possible. scary bad to the right people. scary good to the right people. that said, it's functionally also a very strange perfume, very volatile, has trouble holding itself together. i'm sure it does a lot better in a sealed spray bottle, however in the sample vial upon increased air contact in the bottle it began to oxidise and separate very quickly, within the first year, exacerbated by the fact that some kind of chemical reaction in the bottle was constantly causing the cap to fly off the bottle, had to tape it shut to prevent it from constantly breaking its own seal. definitely has a lot of personality this one. 10/10 i wear it on summer and autumn nights with sunglasses and a lot of leather and the bats come out to play

WHAT A MASTERPIECE! I swore I wouldn't jump on the Margiela craze, but I got a 10 ml gift of Autumn Vibes and I just couldn't stop sniffing my wrist in disbelief. So I cautiously ordered a 30 ml just to make sure I am really as in love with it as I thought, and boy was I right! First of all, you should know that this review comes from a hardcore fan of spicy scents and particularly pink pepper (my new signature scent is Hugo Boss's The Scent Elixir, which is basically a way sweeter, more feminine version of Autumn Vibes). So if spiciness, pepper and condiments are not your thing, do not blind buy Autumn Vibes! Unlike Boss Elixir, Autumn Vibes is more unisex and the cardamom and nutmeg give it a more serious, deeper, more intriguing vibe. The projection is huge, it fills the room, but I find the resistance is moderate (if I spray A.V. on one wrist and Elixir on the other, A.V. becomes a skin scent in about 4-5 hours, while Elixir lasts for 8-9 easily). But since I truly, madly, deeply love them both, I am now layering and combining them (sometimes also "taming" with JPG's Divine) to create what I'd call the absolute scent for me :))). On my skin there is no moss or leaf or carrot (?) smell, the perfume just smells like delicious condiments from beginning until end.

Autumn Vibes was the first perfume I ever truly fell in love with. This fragrance feels like a memory and a moment all at once. It’s grounding, comforting, and rich with warmth, yet never overwhelming. It’s the scent I reach for when I want to feel like myself, connected, calm, and centered. Over the years, I’ve tried many perfumes, but Autumn Vibes remains unmatched. It holds a permanent place in my heart and on my shelf. It may be the only scent I will always repurchase. If you’re looking for something that feels like a long walk through nature with your thoughts as your only companion, this might just be the one.

This is one of my favorites in my collection, I reach for it all the time when it’s cold out. By far my favorite of the discovery set. Nostalgic. It smells like running morning cross country practice in late October in Indiana. The sun hasn’t risen yet, the ground is still soaking wet and covered in maple and oak leaves, and coach is making you run three miles of hills in the graveyard at the Catholic school you attend. I’m 14 years old and my shoes are soggy and mulchy, but my body is warm and my brain is clear from running. This smell is so specific to some of the happiest moments in my life, and I really love it. It’s only suitable to wear in the cold, and it smells better on skin than on paper. Addicting.

Imagine it’s a cool overcast day in October, but it’s still warm enough to be outside in just a long sleeve shirt. You rake all of the fallen leaves into a really big pile & you jump in. That smell of various stages of dead leaves along with damp soil & fresh grass ??? yeah that’s this. It’s not at all what’s commonly thought of when thinking of an Autumn fragrance. It’s not honeyed spices or dry spices. This is leaves, soil, & faintly spiced wood in the fresh Fall air. It doesn’t smell like Santal 33, but it will remind you of it in the same way Whispers In The Library will remind you of Amouage Fate Man. I quite like it.

I bought this perfume before I went to New York City in the fall. I wore it while I was there, and now I associate it with walking through Central Park in November and looking at the trees and their beautiful fall colors. When I first smelled it, my immediate thought was that it smells like decaying wet leaves and dirt with a hint of grass. It is cozy, one of my favorite perfumes. I have never smelled the pickle note that people mention. I love to wear it before bed and reminisce about walking through Central Park in November with colorful leaves falling around me.

Autumn Vibes is bold and distinctive, definitely not a safe blind buy. Woody, smoky, and spiced, it has an aggressive edge that makes it stand out. Leather and amber add depth, giving it a warm yet commanding character. Performance is excellent. Longevity is impressive i can still smell it on clothes the next day. Sillage is noticeable but controlled, leaving a clear impression without being overwhelming. This is one of my favorite Maison Margiela fragrances. It’s long-lasting, confident, and perfect for those who want a statement scent in cooler weather.

I've tested a handful of MM Replica fragrances, and this is the one that evokes its inspiration the best. It's also their most interesting. Woody, spicy, resinous, green, leafy, a bit piney. It bears some resemblance to Santal 33, but this fragrance is a bit sweeter. I don't get the dill pickle / pencil shaving associations, but not everyone will appreciate this niche-style scent profile, so as usual, test it before buying it. It is a personal bubble EDT, so you can wear it at work. It leans masculine, and in my opinion, it deserves a better rating.

This one is a really good surprise. Very nostalgic, stylish but cool scent. It has a "vintage" mood, like it's something I've smelled from the 90s or something, a bit bohème and warm. I see the damp mossy side some people dislike, but I think it's really what makes the fragrance unique. It has depth and definitely character. I wouldn't recommend for a blind buy, but after trying it on my hand I kept coming back to it. I will probably buy it for mid season, spring or autumn fit well with the mood.

Amazing. Reminds me a bit of another perfume I really love, Tobacco Vanille, but Autumn vibes has a much forestier vibe. Which is a positive thing in my view. I usually have bad luck with skin chemistry but this one had good longevity on me (suprising because I've had bad luck with Replica perfumes longevity before). I really love it, it smells cozy, warm and inviting. A lot of classic autumn smells with an undertone of earthy and mossy forest. It's also a perfect unisex scent. Highly recommend!

i imagine this is what a hunting trip with dean & sam winchester would smell like, minus a faint dude scent of cologne maybe. reminds me of autumn park walks at night wearing a borrowed jacket. ok enough descriptive language 🤓🤓 too male-leaning for me but i loooove to smell it, just maybe not on me or my vibe. lawd I can’t wait to buy my future manz this. update: love it too much to not wear it. I dont care if it’s more mannish. my sample is about to finish : ( soooooooooo sososooso good !!

Mossy, woody and a little bit of dried sweetness. Autumn in a bottle - and I love it ! It reminds me of both Stash fra SJP and Jazz club from MM. More rounded and unisex than both of the above. This one has warmth from cardamom and nutmeg and a little bit of sweet- from the maple and carrot seeds. All over this i pleasant, comforting, and unisex. Long lasting and a decent silage. At first try I didnt like it. But it grew on me and now I adore it.

The absolute best one out of MMM, also the most niche one among their other generic fragrances. If you love Cardamom, or sandalwood notes, and like earthy, natural, unisex tone, you cannot ignore this creation after a test spray. It is well-blended but still has a punch that stands out from fragrances with similiar notes. If you love gourmet, vanilla, and people-pleasing scent, this is not for you.

Omg...80's/90's kids...Do you recall the smell of fall/Halloween back in that era? It had a distinct smell. Do you remember when the teacher's would decorate your classroom and you would get to do Halloween crafts? This smells like that exactly! It has that sweet/musty smell. Like overripe pumpkin, maple, wet leaves and moss...I love this! It reminds me so much of fall/halloween from my childhood!

I’ve worn this perfume for 2 autumns already and will wear it again starting September 2026 <3 I put it on before any date in the fall with my now husband :) so so cozy. I imagine that it’s 5 pm, you’re walking in the park and stopping to hug with your lover under a tree, the leaves fall on top of your head. You’re wearing a big coat and you feel so warm. You will get a coffee later. Life is good

This brought me right back to the school playground. You know when it’s getting close to Halloween, so there’s leaves all over the ground and it’s rained a few times so now they’re all soggy and squishy when you run through them? Yeah, like that. I’m describing it like it’s a negative thing but to capture such a specific moment of time in a bottle, to me, is REALLY awesome.

so nostalgic. reminds me of a sunny indian summer day in late september, i am walking home from school in my small eastern-european town, crushing crispy yellow red and orange leaves with my feet. it's annoying to wear my uncomfortable school uniform but the air is fresh and life is still easy and good even if i don't know it yet

A cool day in late October. Halloween hasn’t quite come yet but the feeling is hanging in the air. Like you’re wandering around a graveyard after it’s rained. Probably one of my favorite scents I own. Maybe a bit mossy and dirty for people looking for a more all around autumn scent but I have got to go back and get a full bottle.

I really don’t know what majority of these comments are going on about. This scent is beautiful. It’s warm, intimate, and nostalgic. A perfect fall/winter daily in my opinion. If you’re someone who loves outdoors and the smells you associate with them (the good ones lol) this is a must have in my opinion. No pickle smell to me.

smells like autumn (obviously). Soft wet leaves and woods and that sickly sweetness that's in forests. I usually stick to more safe and popular profiles but this one I really like. I don't care for strong woods or green scents usually so if you don't think this be your type of scent I'd still recommend giving it a try.
