Coffee Break, accurate to its name is a fleeting moment, a whisper in the everyday bustle. Look toward the soft murmur of a city street, the delicate hum of morning activity, where the scent of fresh coffee lingers in the air but, contrary to initial expectations, isn’t the star of the show. Instead, think the subtle warmth of a minimalistic café in winter, where the aroma of roasted beans drinks quieter, more refined. The coffee here isn’t served bold and brash in pitch dark shots, but instead as that elegant, smooth low-fat latte you nurse on a break—thin, understated, and the perfect companion to a moment of pause. As you step outside, drink in hand, the world shifts gently. The faint, soothing notes of blooming lavender beckon from nearby flower stands, filling the air with their soft, sweet perfume, adding a touch of life to the calm simplicity of your coffee. You’re not enveloped in the heaviness of caffeine or dramatics of the higher-ups, but instead, the crispness of a day well-spent, a slight breeze mingling with the faintest trace of the approaching spring, like petals brushing your skin. Sadly, like any precious moment, MM's fragrances always sit brief. This fragrance is no outlier, slipping away as easily as it comes, leaving behind nothing but well, the replica of a memory—a soft, almost imperceptible trace of sweetness, like a good breath of air that dissipates into the distance before you can say goodbye. Like the coffee break itself, it is beautiful, it is refreshing. It is also gone too quick.

I love this perfume. I originally got the travel size version (back when it was more widely available) and ordered the largest size once I used it up. I like the simplicity of this fragrance but can understand why this may be a negative for some people. I was shocked to see how many notes are listed here, as I only really pick up lavender and milk. There is a very slight coffee note upon first spray but it fades within minutes to a lavender milk scent. This perfume has a pretty weak projection after the first hour, but because of that, I feel more comfortable wearing it to work. It isn't sickeningly sweet like some of my other milk fragrances (see: Milk by Commodity) because the lavender adds a slightly bitter edge to the milk note. I wear this at home, to work, and running errands. It lasts noticeably for about 3-4 hours and lingers for maybe 8 at most. This is on me all throughout fall and winter, and on the occasional rainy spring day. It isn't something that I would gravitate towards during hot days. The price point is pretty steep for the projection and longevity but my 100 mL bottle is only 1/3 used after 2 years of almost daily use 6-8 months of the year. I highly recommend if you're looking for a not-too-sweet milk scent that is office-safe.

If you're after a gourmand scent this is not the one. Luckily I'm very satisfied with the barley there coffee note. According to the notes, 'Coffee break' shouldn't be for me. Normally I'm not very fond of neither lavender nor patchouli. But it turns out that I love them together here. It's very well balanced which is why I probably don't mind the lavender or the patchouli. It's like all the notes play very well together and you get this warm, creamy and embracing scent that leans slightly feminine on my skin, but I think it's very unisex. As of it's longevity it is not performing all that great. But the sillage is at least medium as long as it lasts. You could wear it for a whole day of work but you will have to reapply if you're going out in the evening and want to be noticed. I don't really mind this since I prefer a silent stunner over a knock out fragrance any day. But if you prefer knock out this I probably not the one.

Such an underrated little coffee fragrance, and honestly probably my favourite from the Replica line as a whole. Maybe even my favourite coffee fragrance ever... but i'm still searching, so we'll see! Here the coffee isn't too bitter or sweet cloying, it's sort of milky and lactonic. I love lactonic fragrances, so this is a huge win for me. Most coffee fragrances also use a ton of artificial caramel, which smells like an assault to my nose. Here, it feels like more of a whisper of coffee, balanced with soft soapy lavender (and no weird caramel note in sight!). An unexpectedly spectacular combination! My only gripe with this fragrance is that I just wish it lasted longer on my skin. I get about 4 hours of wear before it fades into nothingness. I have heard this is an issue with the line as a whole. Still, I will have to upgrade to a full bottle eventually. I love it that much.

So, SO good. Unique! It's a bar-of-soap smell, with LOTS of herbal whole-plant lavender. The coffee is way in the background, like as if a bar of goat's milk soap just walked out of a coffee shop, the smell of ground coffee beans lingering on its little soap cardigan. The lavender is not "fabuloso" (iykyk), sharp, nor too masculine. It's soft like baby powder. Rounded, floral, aromatic and natural. This fragrance was made for fall, Irish cable sweaters, tan suede Birkenstocks with chunky knit socks and relaxed fit, worn-out blue jeans. LOVE 💞. Editing to add that I concur this is an excellent office selection, because the throw isn't intense. M.M Coffee Break could never be suffocating (unless maybe way over applied). It's definitely a personal space scent, but with staying power.
