I’ve smell this the first time around 2018 didn’t like it the first time,2nd time pre COVID I’ve sample it at the store again fell in love with it when I get back home with the tester strip. A little hesitated about the retail price for the quality, but I couldn’t stop thinking about it until I found out it’s discontinued, been searching online, sold out everywhere. 2021 after COVID 2nd wave lockdown, went to the mall searching for it. couldn’t be happier when found the last bottle in the country at Sephora. the SA at Sephora doesn’t even know they have the last bottle left. I’ve spotted it when she opens the cabinet.I’ve check on eBay people are selling it for 200usd now,I guess retail price is a bargain now. So the weed here is more of a vibe than actual odors. Just more like when you walking in to one of those smoke shops carrys artisan bongs and pipes. Not the ones you have at your neighborhoods, just love the whole idea of the fragrance, Amazing scent. Longevity and silage is moderate. A little expensive for the longevity and projection tho. Manceras Hindu Kush is kinda in the same league but on steroids without the crazy incense. But I like this one more it’s cozy and calming.it’s the red apple in the opening make it fresh and crisp. After 10 mins apple faded away patchouli become the most prominent note. A little incense note in the dry down 4/5

Seems to be a controversial scent, but if you really like patchouli, I say go for it. It is very well balanced to my nose, and although the cannabis accord is there, it is far from that dank, dirty smelling pot that you'd smoke in some random dudes van at a music festival. It's more of a fresh, green,"purple haze" scent that I think balances the heavier patchouli notes very well. The note of incense is what most people comment on when I wear it, which I personally love. It's comforting and warm, and although it is a unisex, that juicy red apple top note lingers and adds a good punch of sweetness. Im not much of a sweet gourmand lover, but I just think this scent is very well-rounded. It lasts well into the night when I spray it on in the morning, which I would add as a good value for the price you pay. It is discontinued but you can find it on Ebay for a fair price, especially considering it's a luxury perfume house. This is the scent I imagine Zoe Kravitz's character "Rob" would wear in the Hulu series High Fidelity. It's a little rough around the edges, but still sweet, sexy, and alluring. It smells like what a mysteries record shop owner with severe daddy issues would smell like. Its hot, its cool, and it won't return your calls because it's listening to its rare Bowie vinyl all night.

This was a blind buy, after researching the notes I thought I’d give this a go. Bought a full bottle for around 114$ and didn’t regret it one bit. On me the patchouli is very apparent, the marijuana, not so much (unless I am oblivious to what weed smelled like back then), It opens with just a hint of apple and the patchouli is the dominant factor. For an eau de toilette this sure does last, and I am happy I made this addition to my collection. Patchouli, hints of cannabis and a lot of incense and wood, with a touch of leather on top to bind it all together. I love Maison Margiela’s Replica line of perfumes, the memory and scene of being at a hippie-ish music festival is there, people smoking spliffs, sweaty from all the dancing and just being out in the sun for days, this is it. I could write so much more about this beauty and the other Replicas but I’ll emphasise one point: This is unique, a lot of the whack patchouli, not the sweet one, this is some funky stuff. Sillage: 8 Longevity: 7,5 at least on my skin Smell: 9 A great niche perfume for those who have a different nose, try it out! I am so over the new perfumes aimed at smelling good and liked by the many. I am all for bold statement perfumes, I want to be remembered, not necessarily liked.

Picked up a 10ml at Saks off 5th for $20.00. I wish I had grabbed 2. I may invest in a full bottle soon. This is the first Replica that I have wanted a full bottle of, and I have smelled all the most popular in a sample pack. It is strong on the patch on first spray but it settles down (20 minutes or so) into a sweet (almost cotton candy-like) incense-y fragrance on my skin. I feel like it is blended very well. I do not get much leather or any noticable cedar, no pencil shavings or anything like that. Perhaps a hint of cypress. I don't detect any true "bud" scent. Just a fantasy one. I have smelled my share of "bud". Could for sure be unisex but I feel like it leans slightly "feminine" due to the sweetness. Maybe different on different skin. I think I found my fall incense scent I have been looking for. Very wearable for me in any season. Versatile, fun and unique. Recommended for the modern (or nostalgic) hippy. Color is a misty, deep pink in my weird sense brain. Overall 8/10 for me. **Edited 1/3/22 to say, this smells a heck of a lot like Lord of Misrule from Lush!

This scent immediately stuck out to me as a niche version of JV Dark Rebel. It has an amazing blend, and a definitive open, mid, and drydown. Gets sweeter and more powdery as time goes on, and I find it absolutely lovely. The opening is a bit patchouli'd out, smells like your parents Deadhead friend who comes into town once every 8 years in a van. Once the opening passes, it mellows into a beautiful sweet powdery scent with some authentic spice behind it. The cannabis note is NOT strong or authentic. It's more of a slightly sulphuric tobacco than a true weed smell. Think of a dried tobacco + a faint smell of burnt matches. I really love this so far, would recommend buying if you're into more complex scents. I love the Jim Morrisson comp, definitely what I would imagine him smelling like. Versatile enough for office, dates, or casual wear. Leans slightly toward cooler weather, but you can pull it off in summer as long as the heat isn't too extreme. 8.5/10

Holy patchouli, I love this. The cannabis note is definitely very much there in the initial blast- very strong and kinda fruity. But its presence burns off within the first 15-30 minutes. Then the scent begins to remind me of the incense section of the head shop. Music Festival will ultimately evolve into a kinda powdery, fruity, smoky, and fun patchouli incense scent that dries into a nice cypress, faint fruity-ish cannabis, tobacco scent. I have to admit I love the topnotes the most- and wish that was the entire fragrance. However I do appreciate a scent that has an aspect of evolution to it. I noticed the house of Maison Margiela are genuine experts at taking your senses on a ride -- never linear or boring frags, always shapeshifting and changing, keeping it interesting. Projection is soft, which is also cool. One of my absolute favorites by Maison Margiela. It sucks that everything I love gets discontinued.

My introduction to the Replica line was Jazz Club. Absolutely phenomenal scent that gets better every time I wear it! Looking at the notes in Music Festival, I figured I would not be a big fan, but this really surprised me. A fresh blast of apple in the top that reminds me of a caramel/candy apple. Love the patchouli and incense note in this that equals out the sweetness of the apple, making the blend really nice overall. I do not get a cannabis note from this, which is nice, because I am not a fan of the smell. The memories from college dorm rooms do not sneak in here, thankfully. Really nice performance on this one as well. This is a great fragrance and really got my attention. Stays quite linear throughout, not making big changes, but love getting wafts of it especially in the dry down. Overall 8/10 and perfect for those cooler months. Would love to wear this one to a fair!

Music Festival by Maison Martin Margiela smells like amber-y weed that I remember from the 90s—slightly sweet and powdery. IMO, today’s weed is very green and bred to be strong, which results in a scent profile that would be tough to wear. Music Festival is easy to wear, especially if one is into woody fragrances. It does not smell like a dupe of Fille en Aiguilles, but it is similar enough; I would recommend MF to fans of FeA. When comparing the two fragrances, FeA has a dominant balsam fir note, while MF has more smoke/patchouli/weed/leather and a touch of waxy iris. FeA is slightly sweeter with candied fruit and gin and tonic—it makes me feel attractive, while MF feels slightly edgy. I would definitely reach for this fragrance if I owned a full bottle. 4/5 Recommended to people into incense or woody fragrances

I put this on the day after I went to a CBD/smoke shop and this smelled EXACTLY like the interior. Cannabis, incense, patchouli, and a couple of earthy scented candles. Of course, this works just as much for a music festival as the name indicates... I wore it to a concert and actually forgot I had it on, because people were smoking weed in front of me and that was stronger than the cannabis note. That being said, it doesn’t have as high sillage as one would expect, it sits nicely on your pulse points. It doesn’t make you smell offensively dank like pot and patchouli but more warm, vintage, and earthy. This is one of my favorite Replica fragrances I’ve tried so far and I’m a little sad it was discontinued.

I have several frags whereas the main note is patchouli. M.M.M, has a sweets patchouli that I've ever come across. I actually enjoy the sweet notes. There's a whiff of tobacco mixed with cannabis, and as well a smig of smokey vib to the fragrance. I almost feel that there's a vanilla-esque mixed in with the rest of the notes, giving it a green/powdery vib. Longevity and Sillage is excellent, lasting about 6hrs, at arms length you can smell the frag. This is one those fragrance you can wear almost all yr round. I personally find it challenging during the summer months. It's not as airy as most summer fragrances are. 8/10

Very similar to (untitled) but with more patchouli, violet and some herbal touch. (untitled) is more green, bitter and harsh, Music festival is like (untitled) in a hippy-version with more flower, incence and stronger fragrances (...patchouli!). For me Music festival is like a ride back to the hippy-era, being different, being bohemian a bit... but in a good way. Sophisticated, warm, free spirited - with an extravagant bohemian soul. The perfume is for both intorverts and extroverts - in every way. Dare to give a try! PS: I have By the Fireplace, (untitled) and Jazz club from Maison M. I love them all.

Found this in Winners which I wasn't expecting. 10ml for 20 dollars Canadian. Bought this one blind and what a surprise. I love it. Will definitely consider a big bottle in the future to add to my collection. This fragrance reminds me of Christmas. I smell pine mixed with incense and red apple with a touch of vanilla and sweetness as it stays on the skin. I always consider cannabis to smell like a skunk and I don't really get that with this. Just happy I found a brand that I will continue to explore and enjoy for years to come. Great job Margiela.

The opening is a blast of chocolaty, sweet patchouli, moments after, a strong and remarkably realistic cannabis note begins to appear. This is - as described on the bottle - the smell of fresh buds. This fragrance truly captures the essence of a hippy music festival with all the necessary notes coming into play, patchouli, cannabis and tobacco. The leather note also becomes more apparent in the dry down. An interesting fragrance that can bring back strong feelings of nostalgia for those who grew up in the 60's. Well done.

There’s something about this perfume that really captivated me. I won’t say it’s not cannabis but then again it definitely not it alone. I think the perfume is quite well blended because I can’t really break the notes down into the pyramid at all. I just love it as a whole BUT hate it for its close to skin scent silage. I sprayed it on my wrist, my napes, my collar, my sleeve, and I cannot fully say that I can smell it right off. It’s so elusive. One moment I can sort of catch its scent and the next I can’t.

"Music Festival" seems to envelop me in a rather peculiar scent that, for me, strongly resembles sawdust. The singular woody note is predominant and somewhat overpowers any other subtleties that might be present in the perfume. This could possibly be attributed to the fact that the bottle I received, though it was unopened, was from the year 2017. It's quite disappointing, as the scent doesn't match my initial experience. However, I remain uncertain. If I ever come across it again, I'll have to verify.

This fragrance is really something special. The sweetness of the red apple with the incense and patchouli really steal the show for me while the cannabis is very subtle and well blended which I like a lot. This is an earthy, woodsy, herbal, bold and beautiful unisex fragrance. On my skin, I get the sweetness, incense, and herbal notes-on my fiance's skin, it's much more woody and leathery. This is so unique and lovely that I hope to keep this in our collection for a long time. Bummer it's discontinued.

Yes, yes I love it. This takes me back to Glastonbury in the late 90s smell of booze, weed, sweat sweat and earthiness, it really is captured magically. Totally unisex to me, will smell good on both male/female. Maison Margiela replica line is so fun and unique, I plan to buy them all. So far I have this and my love By The Fireplace. I think Whispers in the library will be next. I didn't blind buy them but bought them after 1st sniff in a department store.

Woow. This was a lot better than I expected. It smells exactly what I'd imagine Woodstock to have smelt like - hippie. The apple is extremely subtle, and I honestly do not smell any cannabis. A friend said they totally smell it; "it is as if someone were describing the smell of weed". Despite not seeing that for myself, I still love this perfume and see myself making it my daily! I wore it through working out and it lasted a lot better than expected too.

I have a sample of this which I just got from Sephora today. It is indeed skunky to my nose with the cannabis accord. Not overly potent which is nice, because you definitely don't want to come off smelling like you just smoked a fat one (unless that's your thing). Will do a full wear sometime soon. It's also spicy which I love. As of right now I'm giving it a 7/10 for creativity.

I got my hands on a sample size, I'm huffing it like a sharpie. This scent is where I go in my daydreams, imagining myself living in California and going to Coachella in 2013. Particularly the feeling I get from the song Novocaine by Frank Ocean. I will be saving it to smell but not to wear because there's little left. I'm going to be on the hunt for a larger size.

This perfume surprised me in a good way! Cannabis notes in fragrances is typically not something I would ever gravitate towards. The cypress in this perfum does an excellent job of tying everything together. This is a great fall transitional perfume and has good longevity. Sad this was discontinued as this would have been a repurchase for me.

I am surprised at how wearable this is. Their description is “patchouli and fresh bud”. It’s refreshingly minty (tested in Summer), a little sticky, but also soft and smoky. I was afraid it would be a dirty patchouli like Angel. This is so feminine and sexy on me. Very nicely done! ETA: No wonder I’m loving it - violets are my weakness.

It is not a beast but it takes my breath. Realistic smell and.. weirdly beautiful, on clothes is not that beautiful like on my skin, it becomes sweet, smoky, cannabis-y😂 sexy but I will come back after few wearings, I still can not believe I like this that much L.E: try it directly on your skin, on clothes become dirty, unwashed

This is probably my favorite offering from the house with By The Fireplace right behind. The opening is perfectly sweet and well-rounded but the base settles it with the patchouli, incense, and tobacco. It's a great performer on my skin and lasts all day. This one makes me excited for fall weather and the state fair!

I love how it smells on my boyfriend. This scent goes really well with Japanese retro outdoorsy workwear style outfits. It is a soft patchouli scent that is easy to wear. Casual, natural, funky, modern, and unique. I don't think it is 'Woodstock' as it doesn't remind me of the heavy patchouli oil used by old hippies.

I love this fragrance, it’s very cheerful! Literally smells like “fun”, because it has sweet candy-like side as well as dirty and earthy side (lots of dark patchouli) that smells a bit like weed, but in a good way. I did a powermove when I bought this,the scent fits really well with my natural smell (tobacco and weed 🤣)Good top notes of apple, the tobacco and incense is amazing on the dry down,longevity is more than good (24hrs+) still a good smell left on clothes considering the high price,it's nice!

This stuff is awesome. Picked up a small 10ml travel size at Burlington for $11. Would love a full bottle! Woody and earthy definitely smell the patchouli. Has some sort of nag champa vibes for sure. This is right up my alley. You could wear this dressed up or dressed down. A real banger.

to my surprise, i was blasted with a boozy apple cider scent the moment i sprayed it on myself. the patchouli is indeed smooth as it begins to dry down, but the incense note makes it pleasantly sweet! a boho, comforting, warm-spicy EDT. glorious.

I have been wearing this for years and love it - it's my go-to daily wear. I'm frequently asked what it is and I hate having to tell people it's discontinued. There is no discernable cannabis scent, more like a woodsy patchouli.

It doesn't smell like a big bag of funky weed, But what it does have is that very distinct resinous, sweet, amber smell that you can only find in marijuana. Smells very pleasant, and artistically inspiring.

Easily my favorite fragrance from Maison Margiela. Kind of sweet in the top, funky in the mid and earthy in the drydown. The cannabis is noticeable, but not over the top. This is a great casual scent!

Instant love. Smelled it in store, had to buy it. It does remind me of marijuana, but in a great way. It's a very happy scent. It is not heavy.

There’s a hint of tobacco in the opening of this that Whispers in the Library doesn’t have. Within minutes this becomes wholly tobacco, patchouli and leather forward. Once it finally settles the notes meld together to form a sweet, sweaty skin-like aroma, mixed with clean cotton and a hint of leather. Vibe: Ashtray. Cigarettes and beer. Music festival. Leather jacket. Making out on a summers night. Sweat. Muddy cowboyboots. Summer fling. Band tees. Earth. Rock ‘n’ Roll. Bumming a smoke. Holding hands. Late night walks. August heatwave. Sillage: 7/10. My experience with Maison Margiela so far is that their fragrances all seem to have the absolute perfect level of sillage. Not too weak, not too loud. This is very wearable and leans towards a skin scent, but not so bad you have to get flush up against the skin to pick up on it. Longevity: 5/10. Less impressive on the longevity front, as I've come to assume with Maison Margiela. This will last you a good few hours, but for the price point I expect better. As usual this does hold up significantly better on fabric than it does on skin. Wear: Day or evening, although I’m inclined to say this leans more appropriate for the darker hours of the day. It has a slightly dirty feel to it that lends itself well to a night out on the town. I’d say this probably works all year round but it feels narrowly perfect for late summer wear. Overall rating: 8/10. Earthy, sexy, smoky - this is a fantastic scent to give off that bad boy energy. While this is entirely unisex, something about it just feels like a man’s scent in the same way that the wholly unisex Whispers in the Library just feels like a woman scent. I’d actually say that this is the male leaning version of Whispers in the Library. There’s a more natural, skin-like scent to this, almost like a your-skin-but-better type thing. I’m not sure this is one of those fragrances that would make me go buckwild if I smelled it on a man, begging to know what he’s wearing, but it would urge me to come closer in a more down-to-earth, natural way. I don’t rule out wearing this as a woman, I think I can pull it off actually, but I think for women it’s a more strict party scent than something suitable for everyday wear. Definitely trying this out the next time I’m going out to note down the responses. For those of you who, like me, are sensitive to and put off by the scent of cannabis - worry not - this smells absolutely nothing like it. It smells more like sweet, slightly sweaty skin and clean cotton mixed together. Who would wear it?: This is 1000% what Heath Ledger in 10 Things I Hate About You (1999) would smell like!

Music Festival: Patchouli often gets a wary side eye from me, but this happens to be a patch-dominant fragrance, and I’m not mad at it. I am pleasantly surprised that this leans very pretty and feminine for patchouli, which I often perceive as having a tendency to lean rather masculine. Perhaps it is because the patchouli is more of an earthy accord, composed of patchouli, tobacco, incense, and supposedly, cannabis. I can’t pick out the cannabis or incense on their own, but I suspect that the incense and tobacco are the rodeo clowns for the patchouli bull, so to speak. I can detect the sweetness from the apple--which is neither sickly sweet nor screechy sharp-- and is weaved beautifully with the patchouli. My nose doesn’t pick up on any of the supposed base notes, which is a bit of a bummer for this leather lover. I still consider Music Festival to be a beautiful fragrance, best worn in fall--though it is heavy enough to hold its own in winter or in cooler springtime. Longevity is pretty good, lasting about 8-9 hours. Projection is moderate for more than half of the wearing, given that my students are able to detect it and comment on it ~5 hours after application. I picked up a travel spray at first, then ended up with a full bottle shortly afterwards. Music Festival is probably in my Top 5 favorite Replica scents, and I’ve tried quite a few. Definitely worth sampling, but I’d caution against blind buying a full bottle without sampling first.

I was looking for a perfume with a friend at a department store one day, and we ended up testing some perfumes from Maison Martin Margiela's Replica collection. My friend looked at this perfume's name, and wondered what it smells like. I jokingly replied to him: "Probably like tobacco and drugs". And we had to laugh a bit after trying it, because that's exactly what it smells like! The name couldn't be more accurate, this scent is just like how the air smells like at a festival lingering with all the cigarette and cannabis smoke. If you've ever been to a festival this perfume will instantly take you back to that summery moment, and bring some good memories to mind. The cannabis note isn't too strong with this perfume, it's just like the faint scent of cannabis in the air at a festival or if you would've smoked a few hours ago, but if you're familiar with the scent you will notice it. It's such an interesting perfume, I definitely do like it. Such a masterpiece!

Actually I liked this a lot. At initial spray it smelled quite strange to me, but very fast it changed to something much softer, very cosy and somehow reassuring. Herbs: not only marijuana. However, since I am friends with quite a few people who had problems with drugs, and I have seen the bad harvest close to me, I did not want to evoke the wrong memories for people around me, if they would actually read the fragrance as true and realistic marijuana. So I decided to get rid of the fragrance for that reason. Too bad in a way, because I kind of liked it myself. I sometimes think, that I could have kept it for layering. Maybe it would work as just another kind of spice then, I think. Anyway, I don’t want to hurt someone, if they have a fragile mind. I’d be better off with something else from this line. Replica has some really beautilful fragrances. And to me they are soft, even though they project well, and they are very long lasting. Love them.

As someone who knows the scent of cannabis very well, smelling it for the first time was very disappointing. I love the smell of cannabis and wanted to have a nice fragrance with thas note but it really does not smell like it. It smelled really weird to me the first few times wearing it. I couldn ́t tell if I like it or not. I needed 2 weeks but finally fell in love with it. It ́s a very interesting, creative fragrance which is great for warm summer nights. Although it doesn ́t really smell like cannabis itself, it surely harmonizes well with the real scent ;) On my skin it smells like toffee apple, candid nuts and wood but in a very smooth blend. I actually really like it but it ́s definitely not versatile or a blind buy.

Way better than I expected. Well blended floral / fruit with soft & clean patchouli. If I’m looking for the herb notes, I can kinda find them, but on my skin - it really came off more like a green sage incense. If I didn’t have an expectation of cannabis, I wouldn’t have even thought it existed here. Barely noticeable & if you detect a hint, it is well balanced, integrated & compliments the rest of the menagerie that makes up this scent. Totally unisex. At first I thought it leaned slightly feminine, but my wife complimented me & really enjoyed it on me. I too would love to smell this on her...so there you go. If that’s not unisex, then I don’t know what is. Rock on & don’t eat the brown aspirin. ☮️

This is really nice. Sweet but warm. Lots of patchouli, nice cedar notes. smokey and a touch spicy but also a little resinous. I get a hint of the cannabis smell but it's not much. It just adds a nice background sweetness. those saying that this smells massively like weed and don't wear this around the police etc etc clearly haven't spent a lot of time around weed. Sillage is Ok and it doesn't last that long but it's a nice, inoffensive scent that's not too overpowering. for me it's a nice day time scent, maybe a Saturday in the pub kind of thing. Not a night out or special occasion fragrance but really nice nonetheless

Juicy red apple, damp patchouli and some skank reggie. Smells like a Woodstock campsite on day 1 of the festival. Deadheads are smoking pot in the distance, and there’s still some last minute construction going on. The porto-potties are not swamps yet, but they’re getting there... Sound check! Overall, Music Festival is pretty good, wearable and unique. Niche and interesting. There’s a mild challenging, masculine lean here. Kudos to the perfumer. Something like an entry level nicher.

leathery, smokey and a hint of sweet apple OMG, what a great fragrance! I like it more than I thought, cannabis is almost undetectable but you can tell is there laying somewhere, it does give that music festival vibe. And as a big Patchouli fan, this is a must. Then only problem is that I wouldnt really know when to wear it, it's not casual but defiantly not formal. The few times I wore it people have asked me what is the smell but I'm sure not because they really enjoy it haha

Smells exactly what I would picture Woodstock smelled like. I thought I would not like this fragrance whatsoever, but I’m in love with it. The cannabis note is not strong and dank by any means, it’s very mild and refreshing, and does not make you smell like a smoker. The red apple cancels out most of the bud as well, making the fragrance feel more cozy, refreshing, and pleasant. I could see this being any hippies favorite scent.

As a 90s kid who grew up with MTV, Woodstock is a number one wishlist, (just like the younger generation obsession about Coachela nowadays). This Replica's perfect capture the essence of a music festival in their glory day. A patchouli explosion, tobac*o and can*abis smokes, raw leather and woody notes. Everybody jump up with hands in the air, banging their heads, sweaty and trance in a chants, like a army of music gods.

It's a decent fragrance. However the opening is very abrasive. It then dries down into a spicy and earthy scent with the incense and cannabis melding into a somewhat peppery harmony. Personally, I get a greenish cinnamon smell which well suited to spring/summer weather and potentially early autumn. Please use sparingly though as too much could easily become offensive to anyone within a few metres of you.

Ok, so this is going to sound weird, but I pick up pure strawberry ice cream. I'm not saying that it's a bad thing. That's just what I pick up. It's very sweet to me--I don't get much smokey incense, if at all. A more apt name might have been "At the Ice Cream Shop". I still give it a like, but it just doesn't bring me back to a music festival, at all.
