Café des Délices

Must review again, because this is incredibly stunning and i'm reaching for it so much daily. I can see the dent ! I Love her so much, surprisingly much, oh my. The nuttiness of this is so prominent and i just can't get enough. The next surprise you don't expect is the "soapiness" before you get hit with the coffee note just in the background. Like a pile of clean fresh laundry. This is what makes this perfume extremely feminine and exquisite. In a coffee fragrance we are so used to getting hit with the heavy notes, while here they are the perfect base to another melody. The coffee note is what makes this fragrance different, but it's not the main character, the cookie is, the vanilla and musk are, coffee just hugs them and holds them all together. It's Cafe des Delices , not Delice de cafe' , means we get all the greatness and yumminess in a cafe' of delices, so pastries, cookies, musky vanilla , nutty tonka. I can't get enough. I reach for her every day. I have an addiction issue.

I knew this perfume smelled good, but I did not expect the reactions I have been getting. I was literally told someone was about to tackle me while I was standing in line at a restaurant because of how good I smelled. People have even stepped closer just to take a whiff, which genuinely caught me off guard the first time it happened, but now I am starting to get used to the compliments. On my skin, the vanilla and biscuit notes really come through. They settle in and blend with my natural scent, and the fragrance even clings to my hair. The overall effect is warm, sweet, and inviting, almost like a soft vanilla lemon pound cake. I love Akro Bake, but the longevity on me is not the best. This scent, however, lasts all day. I can still smell it in my hair hours later, and it stays with me in the most effortless way. I grabbed this on a whim during a multi decant exploration on ScentSplit, and now I feel like I need the full bottle. This has officially become my new signature scent.

The perfect coffee scent ! OMG ! and i hated coffee in perfume , wow ! So complex and beautifully done 50/10. Don't sleep on this. There is a sweet opening with a "soapiness", it smells elevated, feminine, elegant. NOT juvenile , not cheap. This is a secret masterpiece. I couldn't even detect the coffee immediately as the Vanilla Musk is quite prominent. I swear this would be an amazing signature scent for a woman, wearable on the daily, this is beautiful. The biscuit note is not cheap nor synthetic , not a cookie. It's amazing. A gourmand dream but also finally not edible and perfectly wearable ! Sexy , mysterious and clean ! Might be full bottle worthy soon ! Def getting this ASAP ! 1000 times better then their Escapade Gourmande. my Absolute fav from the brand.

This is exquisite. I've been wearing a sample for a few hours and I smell like a frangipane tart or an almond croissant served with a shot of Amaretto in a wood-floored café. My skin really vibes with almond, which I think is helping Café des Délices to sing. It smells rounded, layered, and very complete on me. My biochemistry turns vanillas meh or savoury, and most coffees invisible or acrid. I've found the milk and caramel scents I've been trying nice, but linear. Café des Délices is on another level. I don't find it too sweet and it's not at all cloying. There's something very grown up about it, which means I feel delicious and sexy at the same time! Absolute knockout.

That’s why it’s so important to actually smell a fragrance before making any decisions. I would have passed up on this BEAUTIFUL piece if I read about the reviews here saying it’s artificial and synthetic, because in reality to my nose? It’s none of that. In contrary this might be one of the most refined, delicate and sophisticated gourmands I’ve ever smelled. It’s not cloyingly sweet and loud like a lot of the gourmands out there, instead it’s so so so subdued, reserved and fluffy. I love it so much. Maison Mataha just has this really unique “soup base” or DNA in its fragrances that rubs me the good way. Love love love.

This is amazing. Before this, my favourite coffee scent was Ledda 8 Cafe Josephine. This smells like the dry-down of Cafe Josephine. It's warm, creamy, and just right where Ledda's is a bit too rich/strong on first spray. 5/5

Kind of synthetic but I really enjoy it anyway. It doesn't seem overly sweet on me, but more spicy and musky. Pairs well with the Bath and Body Works vanilla cafe body lotion.

Chocolate Éclair....so moorish, love it...creamy, biscuity, cacao ...with a vanilla base but super wearable. A favourite!

Sampling Maison Mataha Café Des Delices, a 2025 release that’s fittingly a gourmand, with notes of coffee cream, biscuit, tonka, vanilla, and musk, fairly light and agreeable, not too sweet, coffee-laden, or bready, but some combination of the three with the vague suggestion of creaminess. It may arguably be the easiest to wear of the line to date, a gentle gourmand that is not too striking but pretty difficult to object to, and I imagine fans of the line will find this enjoyable, even if not terribly innovative or boundary-pushing. Overall, it’s easy to like but not one I jump to love, though I’d surely recommend that those interested in the line or in gourmand in general give it a try. As with the rest of the line, this is extrait concentration and priced at $215 for 100ml, sold in the US via great boutiques like Perfumology. 7 out of 10

It's just like Bianco Latte minus the sharpness, which makes it ten times better. It has a clean smell going on at the base as well. I normally hate musk but this one is actually nice, plus the sweetness of a vanilla latte. I can't think of an occasion where this perfume wouldn't work. My husband is reading baby powder, lavender and chamomile. Not FBW for me just because it's not my personal preference as I'm more into hardcore bakery and dessert. Perfect for someone who wants something clean and sweet at the same time.

I enjoyed this one but I don't know it I would spend the money on a full bottle. I feel like it's overpriced for the dna of the product. I was really hoping for more coffee and i'm gonna give some Montales a try next instead. I like all the ones in this line but I don't know if I would spend the funds with so many other options available.

It's a truly unique perfume. It's not like the strong, coffee-like scents you're used to. I think it's similar to mocha. Am I the only one who sees an orange biscuit flavor or fruit flavor in the biscuit?

It’s definitely a beautiful scent but I get a lot more vanilla than coffee. I smell this as Bianco Latte but it doesn’t project or last in the same way.

I found myself a little underwhelmed by Café des Délices. Overall, it's a mild and inoffensive fragrance that's easy to wear, but it never really captured my attention or offered anything particularly memorable. On my skin, the coffee and vanilla were the most noticeable notes, while the rest of the composition remained fairly subdued. This was a bit of a let down for me because I love a biscuit note, but I didn't really notice one with this fragrance. On the dry down, it developed a slightly dusty quality. There's certainly nothing unpleasant about it. It is mild, gentle, and unlikely to offend. However, for me, it lacked the depth and character needed to make it stand out.

My review is based of an official MM sample. I quite liked the opening, but couldn’t tell you what I was smelling. I also enjoyed the mid which smelt of vanilla cream pastries and lemony biscuits. I don’t get any cinnamon or chocolate as mentioned by other reviewers. There is nothing harsh in this and definitely no ambroxan, which would lead me to question the integrity of others samples. The dry down is the part I dislike, which to me smells of biscuits that are soggy after being dipped in coffee. The coffee note only makes a very faint appearance. The soggy biscuit note dominates. This isn’t for me, but was never a scent profile I was interested in wearing to begin with.

I came to leave a review that I thought would be unpopular only to find that I'm in the majority. This is odd, for some reason my nose picks up the notes listed but with a faint smell of gunpowder overlying the whole thing. It smells fake, unnatural. Influencers push this line like crazy, you'd be better served to find a sample to test. I have one of their fragrances, Escapade Gourmand, and I like it, but the rest kinda shocked me. It seems like it's either love or hate with this brand. I formed my opinion based on 2 Luckyscent samples, not a large bottle.

On me, this has a very promising buttery biscuit opening, but it all just goes a bit 'condensed milk' very fast. Don't get me wrong, I really do like the smell of condensed milk but I just don't need it in fragrance form, so it is a polite 'no thank you' - Honestly, I would never reach for it, and I have many in this ball park that play better with my skin chemistry. In summary, this is pleasant enough, and with the right skin it does have the potential to be gorgeous. I would NOT call it a safe blind buy though.

The biscuit note is super prominent to me in the opening, even later, on the drydown. A lot of vanilla too of course, but not as much coffee as I expected. It doesn't smell similar to Bianco Latte but just like with Bianco Latte there is a synthetic note, and it's a simple and comforting but possibly nauseating gourmand. I still prefer Bianco Latte.

My sample arrived and I wore it for about 4hours. I am sorry to say but this is another disappointment from this house... First of all, I was expecting Escapade Gourmand with coffee, well let me tell you that it smells nothing like Escapade Gourmand. I wouldn’t even call Cafe de Delices a gourmand fragrance 👀 it opens with black coffee, but in couple minutes transitions into musky biscuit. There is some sweetness but is not a cozy edible vanilla type of sweetness. It feels like not all the notes are disclosed because it is rather unisex. The biscuit here is similar to Passion Bliss by Alexandre J (which I did not like either). I am sure there will be people who will like this, but it is not a people pleaser/blind buy safe. Be smart and get a sample first.

I am someone who absolutely loves Evasion Bonbon and Brownie Pop by Maison Mataha. Now Cafe Des Delices is not even a like. It is as gourmand as it is powdery and soapy. I would even call it bland. I'm so glad I sampled it before blind buying a full bottle, although the notes were truly appealing to me. Please sample first! Also, performance is not loud.
