Beautiful to my nose! Peach at first, ripe, juicy and delectable. The florals come in and I’m surprised by both the violet and tuberose notes because I hate both of these notes, usually. However, here, they work nicely with the jasmine and the peach. The sweetness comes after. There’s vanilla, typical to Maison Mataha, the sandalwood is not too overpowering either, which is very nice. Longevity is very decent, 6-7 hours on my skin. I love that this isn’t linear on me, it goes from note to note and plays nicely on my skin ✨🤍🤍🤍 Overall, I love this! I only have a 5ml but I’d definitely get a full bottle if I came across it. And that’s saying something given the fact that I have a big collection...

This was a surprise to me. It's not a juicy peach but more of a powdery peach. This reminds me a little of Potpourri my mother would put around our home when I was little. I think that's where alot of people's disappointment is coming in as they're expecting something juicy and more gourmound. I personally think it's beautiful and classy. It smells grown and settles into a woody (almost sandlewoody), creamy base with a hint of something fruity.

I agree with those reviews saying there is something synthetic about this scent... and I love it! This is so comforting and nostalgic to me. It reminds me of being little and playing with my Apricot strawberry shortcake doll. It’s sweet, powdery, kinda plastic doll head. And it’s currently my favorite scent and most frequent reach. A very unique peach scent to my nose!!!

I really like this one even though I'm not a fan of gourmands. This reminds me of peach ice cream or cake icing. At times I get a boozy vibe too. Very sweet and mellows out to a nice floral as it sits for a while. Big projection.

It smells like good girl gone bad extreme in the opening. But the dry down is better!! Very sweet, vanilla and sandalwood and peach in the background. It’s delicious 😋

If you like GGGB extreme you will like this one. This is more creamy. I like mixing it with Burberry Goddess, it’s an odd combo but it works!

This is SO beautiful 😍 perfect blend of peach and creamy sandalwood I don’t get a lot of floral but it’s just perfect a easy everyday scent

Why the low rating and the 😑 and 😡?????

I'm a huge peach lover - it's my favorite fruity note! And I love a good vanillic sandalwood base. Pêche Velours is better than average, but it's really just solidly 'nice.' It's much lighter and sparklier than scents like Peach Macaron or Pêche Mirage. The white florals are not too overpowering, they just round it out from being a straight sugar bomb. I can see the comparison to Sparkling Lychee in its overall vibe. It's nice and I will use my 10ml, but I just have other peaches in my collection that I will reach for more (Floating, Midnight Orchard, Dor de Vara) so I won't be upgrading.

It's a pretty fragrance, probably not inspiring though, since Kilian and several similar ones from other houses were created earlier. Comparing to my Kilian GGGBE, Peche Velours is sweeter, denser, and creamier; GGGBE is more complex,more lactonic and floral focused. What distinguishes them is the dry down. PV has strong presence of vanilla and sandalwood. I do get candied quality that people are talking about. GGGBE stays linear. In my opinion, GGGBE is probably more sophiscated and better blended. But I do really like the dry down of PV! It definitely deserves a better rating!

Juicy peach with airy vanilla and candied violets. Very feminine and beautiful and the purple florals are reminiscent of those in Celeste by Giardini di Toscana. The opening had me wide-eyed but I find myself pining for the sour candy fizz of Sarah Baker's Peach's Revenge, still my preferred peach. Although this is a close runner-up!

Not for me sadly. This opened with a beautiful, promising, fresh peach note that disappeared very quickly on my skin. This quickly became a faintly sweet skin scent, similar to Printemps Blanc. It’s nice but not full bottle worthy for me. Pass.

Weird...i'm not getting peach but I swear I smell lychee. Lychee and violet. Maybe I got a bad decant. Not bad honestly, happy with my 8ml decant.

It begins like fizzy, alcoholic peach schnapps candy rings but it dries down to a peach upside down cake with a side of melting vanilla ice cream. It takes about an hour to get to the dry down. The beginning makes me feel like I have a handful of peach fizzy ring candy; the ending makes me hungry for warm vanilla cake and peaches. A definite try before you buy.. Sillage is average but could be huge depending on how much you spray, longevity is 6-8 hours. Unfortunately, there's just something I can't pinpoint that is off-putting to me. This brand is like that. I bought 2 samples from Luckyscent, so my impressions aren't from a large bottle. Like all Maison Mataha perfumes, there's something in the perfume that makes it smell different to a lot of people, I think that's why there is so many differing opinions on this one. It doesn't smell artificial to me, but the newest release from them, Café des Delices, smells like it has gunpowder in it -to my nose. And it's supposed to smell like coffee, sweet biscuits and vanilla. Go figure.

Not bad; peach is a bit synthetic but not offensively so. Slightly reminiscent of TF Bitter Peach for the first 5 minutes. Afterwards it becomes a bed of soapy, powdery, sandalwood with a duvet of that peach laying on top of it all. I get occasional whiffs of candied violet and there's a thread of vanilla weaving through. I don't really pick up the white floral, as the tuberose leans more bubblegum than floral. I feel like this is close to being something I could truly love with a few tweaks; maybe a different source for the peach scent, a slightly stronger candied violet, a bit more jasmine & a bit less tuberose, maybe a touch of heliotrope or iris, creamier sandalwood, and a richer more lactonic vanilla base. As is though, it misses the mark and as it dries down it just becomes too perfumey & synthetic.

Sweet and fruity is accurate. It reminds me of a fruity mist I could pick up at Victoria Secret. It doesn’t smell like anything special, and I’m not really a fan of the peach note in here. It’s not an off putting fragrance, but it’s sweet (not cloying) and linear in my opinion, even juvenile might I add. I don't pick up on the violet note, but I think that if you love a fruity peach note then you'll likely enjoy this offering. It smells like it's best suited for warmer weather and definitely more feminine leaning.

I was expecting a more juicy, dessert kind of peach. With some creamy vanilla and so on... But what I got was way more on a powdery, lipsticky side. Like a more classical or even old fashioned peach. Or like the peach from Hundred Silent Ways, just really amped up. Not teriible, but I'm not loving it. Performance is good though.

The way this smelled on paper gained my attention quickly. After spraying it on my skin, I could not smell the peach note after it dried down. Within 15 minutes this fragrance became a familiar skin scent. Although beautiful, it wasn’t my expectation or current need.

I'm getting dry peach, musk and sandalwood. Pretty, but I really hoped for a more sweeter juicy peach. So this was not for me.

It’s giving peach sweet tea. Fresh & juicy but also airy & just a tad diluted.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the plasticky note that everyone smells in here is thanks to whatever type of sandalwood they used in here. It's the combination of the sandalwood and either the floral mélange lurking in the middle notes, or the peach, or maybe just all of the above joining in one big unholy matrimony. In theory, I should love this perfume. I love every note in it individually, and in other frags. I think me and Dominique Preyssas just have some sort of philosophical difference of opinion, because this is, funnily enough, not the first of his that I've disliked on initial smell recently. As it dries down, it fades pretty fast. 10 minutes in all I can smell is this sandalwood that I don't really care for, not really getting any vanilla or musk much at all. For the price point, this is overall pretty disappointing (and not in line with how I feel about the other Maison Mataha scents!)

Another day, another fail. Second consecutive orrible fragrance that I tested from Maison Mataha . This is very chemical fruity-floral super sweet thing that develops supported by the usual "modern" synthetic boring musk + javanol overdose. We find the usual suspects here, gamma undecalactone and gamma decalactone immediatly attack your nose in the opening, benzyl acetate follows to suggest some jasmin-white floral thing and then the javanol on the base keeps the sweetness on and on for hours with that undefined creamyness of synthetic woods + vanillin. Just terrible.

There's a note in this my nose dislikes a lot. Maybe the musk and sandalwood together? I'm not sure. If that one thing was out this would be beautiful. It seems have good longevity, it's been over 6 hours so far. Unfortunately I don't get a play dough note like someone below mentioned. As far as the peach note goes if you're looking.. Ruby Orchid, Dialogue with Venus, Sunset Hour, Gossip Night, even Britney Naked Fantasy are all pretty peach fragrances.

I agree with the other reviews—this disappears in less than 30 minutes. It’s straight-up peach nectar; I don’t smell anything else from start to finish, if you can even call it a “start to finish” given the 20–30 minutes it lasts. I don’t get any vanilla, and it most certainly does not dry down to anything resembling Printemps Blanc. There is a slight Middle Eastern fragrance vibe in the drydown, which I’m guessing comes from the tuberose.

Ack. Not for me at ALL. When I held my wrist to my nose, I physically recoiled. I love peaches, but this...to me, it smells like they asked someone who *hates* peaches to create this scent. It's sour/tangy with an underlying musk. If a peach could have sweaty armpits, that's this smell. This is not a safe blind buy. In fact, I resent the money I spent on the 5 ml decant. Blech.

I was hoping for a refined, velvety peach fragrance, but Peche Velour turned out quite different from my expectations. Instead of the soft, luscious peach I anticipated, it opens with a peculiar synthetic floral note that feels somewhat unbalanced and unfamiliar. It doesn’t capture the sophistication or quality I usually associate with this brand.

Pêche Velours is ripe velvety peach over soft white floral and creamy musks with a warm powdery drydown - and the peach is photorealistic but entirely synthetic on my skin. It sits artificial and sweet in a way that never resolves into the creamy warmth the musks suggest. I can see how this could be beautiful on some, it is just not for me.

Marshmallow, resinous lipstick peach, extremely synthetic. It could've been good as a cheapie for a younger girl but has this weird spinoff musk that breaks everything apart. A little lingering soap in the background.

yeah sorry the peach note is so artificial it’s not even funny. if aggressively fake peach with white florals is your thing, you’ll love this. otherwise pass.

I really liked this for a while but then after about a month putting it on brought on an instant headache. It is sickly sweet syrupy peach and lacks depth.

Wow, the opening for this one kind of smells like Nerds candy, but it also kind of smells like those orange wedge gummies. It's not syrupy, but think candy store kind of smell. I love tuberose, and I think that's the saving grace in this fragrance to make it a bit more smooth and buttery, but if you're looking for a peach scent, I 100% do not recommend this one. Overall though, it does smell good, but not the kind of peach I'm looking for. And also, unfortunately, this one does smell very preppy/ high school

It's a very fresh, airy peach with sweet florals, it smells very clean and a little bit candied but not super sweet, so I think it would be safe for anyone who likes clean scents and still good for those who prefer sweet! It's so pretty. If I were to say it reminded me of anything, maybe a cleaner and less dense Sparkling Lychee but with peach instead of lychee. I was wondering how it would compare to Hundred Silent Ways, that's much more dense than this is

At first glance : Delicious ! it surprised me ! Peach and Violet are amazing together ! i'm so happy ! It's not my dna of choice, but she's feminine, floral , well built and elegant. Sunny perfume, happy and solar. Unfortunately drydown loses the violet and resembles a luxury peach cosmetic product like a fancy Peach Shampoo or soap. And it has a weird chemical base :( So it looses all my initial praise.

It’s a bummer, I had such high hopes and expectations from this fragrance that I bought it at the released date (bad decision). A stripy peach is the beginning followed either a candied violet then a gummy tuberouse overpowered. Is not long when becomes a skin scent but the musk still feels overpowered by the syrupy peach smell.

Initial spray is a juicy peachy floral. It starts to smell like sunscreen right after. There's a gourmand kind of play dough note. Like apricot play dough. I don't like Good Girl Gone Bad because it smells so artificial to me, and I don't like this either. Sorry.

I’m surprised that I haven’t seen a single person compare this to Kilian’s Good Girl Gone Bad as they smell wildly similar. Peche Velours just has an amped up peach note, but otherwise a very close scent.

pleasant, it’s nice but not much more than that. it is delicate and pretty, it’s not unlikeable by any means but it doesn’t stand out.

To me this smells so much like Good Girl Gone Bad extreme. Like Native said, surprised no one else has said this.

Smells so similar to Gossip Night, without the plastic and a bit sweeter and milkier. Long lasting on skin.
