Printemps Blanc

After going hog wild and cultivating an extreme collection, I realized I needed to start becoming more selective in my perfume choices. Out of all of my 35 samples from Lucky Scent, this was the one that really stood out to me. I was surprised to find such a simple note composition, nothing very remarkable or exotic about these notes but this scent really surprised me, especially since this line is known for its gourmands. I've started to notice that some of my favorite fragrances are simple compositions, one's that when viewing here first I would probably pass on trying. There are things that a perfumer can do to perfumes to alter and change fragrances beyond the basic notes, with other ingredients to a perfume and that is why sometimes simple perfumes with 2-3 notes can really blow us away. I went through the sample in a couple days and wanted more. This fragrance develops, and changes over time. It's a signature worthy scent and one that will please many people. I highly recommend getting your nose on this one. I haven't bought a perfume in over a year and when I was thinking of making another purchase to add to my robust, albeit growing stale collection, this was the one I was thinking of. Le Cri, Love & Crime, and this <*basic b***> perfume. lol. After growing a massive collection and trying to be more cultured and esteemed, I've realized that I must be loyal to my nose and my feelings. Trust your gut when it comes to perfumes. Go with what moves you, excites you, and something you look forward to putting on. If you go through a decant super fast, that's a sign that it is FBW (full bottle worthy).

Not to be dramatic or anything, but I think I found one of my signature scents. If you told me last year that Maison Mataha (known for disastrous gourmands IMO) would be releasing a fragrance in 2025 that I would regard as one of the most beautiful white florals, I probably would have laughed and blocked you. I would have also guessed that the review below me was paid. Well I'll have to eat a crow on this one... Printemps Blanc is fantastic on all fronts; the orange blossom is the star of the show, the jasmine adds a creaminess to keep the orange blossom from being too sharp, the grapefruit is bright, succulent, and reminds me more of a fruity-nectar vs. a citrus, the white tea is more of an aromatic spa-style tea scent vs. an herbal one, the vanilla is sweet, smooth, and aromatic, and lastly the sandalwood base adds clean woody finish that prevents Printemps from being too saccharine or gourmand. I can see some similarities to Hundred Silent Ways with respect to the floral-woody profile, however Printemps Blanc goes in its own direction with the aromatic white tea and grapefruit notes. HSW also feels very "generic" and "designer" in its composition. PB feels like a niche composition, ultimately like luxury in a bottle. I honestly cannot find any faults in Printemps Blanc. I am also pleased with the performance, you get a beautiful scent bubble that lasts all day. With it being an extrait, you'll go noseblind if you overspray. PB is going to be on heavy rotation for me this spring and summer. I also can't wait to play around with layering combos- this would go crazy with a sweet ambery vanilla.

I genuinely do not understand how anyone can say this doesn't smell good. Not your style? Sure, I can understand that. Fragrance is subjective. But horrible? Absolutely wild to me. This is one of the most beautiful perfumes I have ever smelled, and I own over 600 bottles. That's not an exaggeration. This is everything I always wanted Love Don't Be Shy to be... and that's coming from someone who is actually a huge fan of LDBS. To my nose, this is softer, creamier, smoother, and much better blended. It has that same dreamy sweetness, but without feeling loud or overwhelming. The first time I smelled it, my eyes practically rolled into the back of my head. It was one of those rare fragrance moments where you immediately know you're in trouble because you're completely obsessed. In fact, I instantly pictured myself wearing this on my wedding day. Now I just need to find the perfect man first. 😂 This isn't sexy, dark, mysterious, or witchy. This is pure princess energy. It's pink, fluffy, delicate, romantic, and impossibly pretty. It's the scent of the sweetest, softest, most beautiful Disney princess floating through a garden in a cloud of marshmallows and silk ribbons. There's something so comforting and innocent about it while still feeling luxurious and special. Every time I wear it, I can't stop smelling myself. If femininity had a scent, this would be it. I'm completely, hopelessly obsessed.

Very pretty but as others have said it’s not anything you haven’t smelled before. My quest for the perfect orange blossom + citrus continues. Edit: I find myself returning to Printemps Blanc over and over. It’s not as overtly citrusy or orange-blossomy as I hoped for when I ordered my sample of it, but these notes are certainly present and they’re beautifully balanced with vanilla and sandalwood. The effect is an intoxicating fragrance that’s both fresh and citrusy, floral and sweet, and none too much of the other. A great vanilla for those who aren’t big on gourmands or overly sweet fragrances; a great creamy floral that’s not overdone with synthetic musks or lactonic notes. Not every release needs to be, or can be, a revolution in perfumery. Sometimes it’s perhaps less exciting but far more valuable to just put a small spin on a familiar profile and do it really well. I’ve upgraded my sample to a 10 ml decant and I suspect a full bottle will be next.

This is absolutely beautiful! I'm in the minority of those who smell Wedding Silk Santal, so I tested them and here are my thoughts: (1) They both have lovely, sweet vanilla bases. Not all vanillas are good, but these two are sexy, elegant, and smooth. The sweet accord isn't cloying and can be worn in summer. (2) WS has more depth because the santal stands out a bit more, along with the impact of other notes (champagne, blk current, nectarine), while PB's olfactory journey is more linear without being boring or basic. (3) Speaking of PB's journey, there is something gourmandish about this fragrance. My nose picks up a warmness in the base that makes it lean salty caramely without it smelling autumnal, heavy, or cloying. While they're close enough for me to compare them, they're different enough for me to want to own both. Taking WS out of the conversation, PB is gorgeous, sexy, sophisticated, straightforward, and uncomplicated. She holds her own!

This is a creamy vanilla floral fragrance which has all the notes blended together smoothly. The grapefruit is not a sharp citrus, but it's blended well with the orange blossom and jasmine. The grapefruit disappeared for me on skin within the first hour, but that's okay. These two white florals work well together and the orange blossom is mellow. Compared to the cloying Killian's Love Don't Be Shy, this is a much smoother and sophisticated, light and creamy floral. The white tea is not a super noticeable note, but I can smell that it may be adding a bit of bitterness to the profile to balance the sweets. The vanilla and sandalwood make this creamy and addictive and are much loved in this perfume. I can see myself wearing this day or night and at all times of the year. I personally think this would be a nice evening event fragrance if spritzed liberally.

The fragrance opens with a refined accord of orange blossom, lending the composition a soft radiance and a hint of citrusy freshness. Almost immediately it is joined by creamy jasmine sambac- tender, sensual and velvety in texture. A light transparent tea note adds a delicate coolness, evoking a sense of freshness and calm. The base is truly cozy- warm, velvety sandalwood and soft vanilla create a creamy, slightly gourmand veil. Printemps Blanc unfolds very gently, elegantly, and with a distinctly feminine refinement. It wraps you in a tender cloud- light, yet long-lasting. While it’s versatile, it naturally leans toward romantic and delicate styles. A fragrance that makes you want to float like a butterfly 🦋

this is hands down the best one from this brand. very feminine, soft, airy, but elegant. this is how I imagine the color white to smell like. its is the perfect blend of cozy citruses and beautiful florals. very bright and uplifting, not juvenile though. the vanilla here is so so beautiful, slightly green but cozy. and just a little bit, its sweet. I think people who love Love don't be shy by Kilian would adore this one too, because it has that same angelic vibe, but less sweet though and has its own vibe. funny because for me love dont be shy is too much of yellow florals and sweetness, but this beauty is just the right amount of everything. I prefer this one a hundred times over Kilian's

Found Printemps Blanc🤍 in LuckyScent's "Best of 2025" sample set – totally obsessed from the first sniff! This white floral is very sophisticated, with a bright orange blossom at the heart and creamy jasmine. The grapefruit is more like a juicy nectar, super soft and dreamy. Vanilla and sandalwood create a cozy base, and the white tea adds a nice touch. Performance is good, gives a lovely scent bubble that lasts for several hours, and the sillage is very discreet. People compare it to Hundred Silent Ways, but this one feels lighter and airier. It's not revolutionary, but it's gorgeous, and something speaks to me in this perfume, and I'll be wearing it all the time!

This fragrance is beautiful—soft, airy, and very light. The longevity isn’t great; it stays close to the skin, and I can only smell it faintly even when sprayed on clothing. Still, the scent itself is lovely. A year round scent more suitable for Spring. I'm hoping that BSB or Orena come up with a body oil I can layer with. I ordered mine from Parfums de France and received a sealed box labeled Printemps Blanc. But the bottle inside had a Peche Velours label, even though the juice was clearly Printemps Blanc. Very strange, and definitely a quality-control issue. Thankfully, Parfums de France is allowing me to return it and get the correct bottle.

I didn’t know what to expect given the note profile. First spritz had me thinking of Hundred Silent Ways immediately. Then a few minutes in, it developed and became sooooo warm and without the sharp white florals of HSW. It is lovely! Grapefruit, Jasmine, & Sandalwood? Where? On my skin, it smells like a soft, perfume version of a creamy, white chocolate green tea matcha with marshmallow fluff. Delicious. It’s been a few hours and the scent profile hasn’t changed much. The projection is moderate but I think it’s meant to be that way, given the scent profile. It’s warm, cozy, calming, and something I want to snuggle into.

This is pretty, a soft, fluffy orange blossom and musk. It reminds me of Prada Candy Kiss and Hundred Silent Ways had a baby and gave it a deep vanilla dry down. Gorgeous!! Came to update! The longer I've had it the the deeper the vanilla has gotten. It's even more soft and creamy than it was in the beginning. I used to find the musk or sandalwood a little rough, but now it's incredibly smooth and absolutely gorgeous. This was one of those scents I ordered a FB of as soon as I smelled a sample. I am so happy I have this for the fall and winter here. Absolutely beautiful!

This is beautiful, all of the positive comments are truly are spot on, but I have to say it’s really reminiscent of Baciami. While you do get the citrus notes up front, that does eventually fade into the background. One thing Maison Mataha does well is vanilla, it’s a perfect balance of sweetness. Do they smell identical side by side, no, but so close that I’m not sure I need to keep both. One thing is for sure, If you weren’t a fan of Baciami, you would probably like this one and vice versa. This is well blended, addictive, with great longevity.

Possibly the best orange blossom fragrance I've ever smelled. Everything is so well-balanced. Definitely on the sweet side, but not overly so. After their last two releases, I was dubious but ordered a sample anyway. It was one of those moments where you are immediately thrilled but wait a few hours anyway to order a full bottle (just to make sure). The last time that happened to me was with Blanche Bête. Longevity is excellent, 7 hours later and I'm still getting wafts and none of those scratchy aroma chemicals.

This is simply beautiful! One of my new spring and summer must haves. Sometimes I have a hard time with tea notes if they become too herbal, but this is perfect and adds a freshness together with the grapefruit. I don't really get too much similarities with other white floral scents with gourmand touches, but for some it might be redundant if you already own a ton of them (LDBS, HSW, Oriana, Princess and so forth). Definitely not redundant for me though!

This is one of the most beautiful fragrances I’ve smelled in a long time. I can see why it’s backordered! I’m so glad I picked up 2 samples. This smells fluffy somehow, like I imagine this is how an angel would smell. It smells like the most beautiful, stylish woman you’ve ever smelled. Definately a daytime scent, but that’s my preference. This is sweet without being too sweet, not overly floral, bright, fresh, clean and just STUNNING

Like with many other perfumes with jasmine, I get whiffs of urine in the opening... Fortunately it disappeares after a few minutes. This is a light, happy, refreshing, but yet comforting scent. It has almost everything I love, tea notes, citrus, orangeblossom and vanilla. It's non offensive and incredibly versatile, I just wish it had better longevity, it lasts a long time on clothes, but not on skin unfortunately...

This is such a beautiful fragrance, and I think it’s better suited for warmer weather. The grapefruit gives it a nice brightness playing off of the orange blossom. I love jasmine sambac and this note is done well in this fragrance. Maison Mataha knows how to do vanilla exceptionally. This fragrance is quite versatile as it can be worn in many settings — work, casual settings, etc.

This might be one of the prettiest fragrances in my collection of nearly 600. I am always worried that orange blossom frags (my favorite note) with have LDBS dna, but this doesn’t at all. It’s the creamiest sandalwood ever with a gorgeous orange blossom and a little burst of clean vanilla and subtle citrus. Silage and longevity are insane!
