Into The Wild

Into the Wild is my favorite fragrance from the brand's Discovery set that I have purchased and I hope to soon be able to get a bottle since its value for money is also very good. The aroma has the perfect mix between sweet and aromatic. I am not usually a big fan of the aroma of juniper and, in general, I tend to avoid perfumes that contain this note. However, in into the Wild it gives an aromatic and slightly spicy touch to the output that makes it very interesting. Furthermore, as other users comment, it gives it that extra point that is slightly more masculine than the rest of the brand's perfumes, although in general I do not like to talk about gender in fragrances and, being a man, I tend to like them more and they look better on me in general. many perfumes initially cataloged for women. I also found this perfume to be the most complex of the brand. Without being a fragrance with an excessively complicated development, it does undergo various variations throughout its evolution, while other perfumes in the collection are fresher, lighter and more linear. The heart of the fragrance is made up of white flowers with a light touch of frangipani, which together with ginger provide a fresh sensation, making it an ideal all-rounder for any season. The brand publicizes that drying is carried out with chocolate. With this information I can find the chocolate in the dry down of the perfume but, I have to admit that if I didn't know, I would surely think of other notes such as vanilla, sugary notes and some dark wood, all of them very light. In general Into the Wild is a very unisex perfume, very easy to wear and suitable for almost any situation. Like all the brand's perfumes, its performance is moderate, although it is probably the one that offers the best performance of all, with a duration that easily exceeds 7-8 hours and a projection that becomes moderate in the first 2-3 hours. It then became soft and close to the skin as, in my case, happens with many of the brand's perfumes from the beginning. This is a perfume that, although it is not particularly original nor does it contribute anything new to perfumery, it could be classified within that large group of perfumes "FRAGRANCES TO SMELL GOOD". A group of fragrances that are more practical than artistic and whose function is to make those who wear them feel good without further ambition. After sniffing all of the Maison Matines at a local apothecary, I bought a 30ml feeling like it was one of the most unique of the collection, and really fits my love for green-forward citrus + spice fragrances. It smells super accurate on my skin to the scent in the bottle, and comes across like very bright and uplifting herbal orange scent without being too sweet. It's a great pick if you want something unisex/leaning slightly femme. I can see what other users mean when they compare it to citrus cleaning solutions, but I'm the type that finds that a bit appealing, if anything. I am surprised the citrus notes aren't prominently listed, as it reads as primarly orangey citrus to me. I can only make out a hint of that dark chocolate note, which sounded unappealing, but really works nicely in tandem with the other notes. I do really, really like this, but am unlikely to repurchase when I run out as it fades extremely fast. It's just gone in an hour or two, which is a real shame. But I am still happy I picked it up and look forward to using the rest of the bottle. Update after a few weeks, this scent has really, really grown on me and my partner. It is such a beautiful blast of orange that settles into a nice fruity but not overly sweet fresh-spice scent at drydown. The longevity is actually quite decent, and lasts nicely on clothes. It actually smells just like the ride Soarin', when you fly past the orange groves and get that orange/pine scent. I will probably repurchase at some point when I run out, this is divine. A nice light scent for the gym as well.

I can't lie, any perfume with cardamom notes in it is going to pique my interest. I was a little worried about the juniper/ginger notes (didn't want to smell like a carrot cake or "fall spices") but the floral notes and the way it's been blended make it so it stays fresh and surprisingly light! Out of the sample set, this is in the top four for me! It is markedly different from the rest, and isn't a mix of smells I can say I've found in another perfume. I think for the $35 price point on the smaller bottle, it's a pretty good deal. The scent sits pretty close to the skin, so that could either be a pro or a con—if you're wearing it at the office I don't think you'll offend anyone. Only wish it would last longer! I agree with other folks saying it's more akin to a Northwest conifer forest smell than a tropical smell, or floating somewhere between. Beautiful either way. I admit that I was more intrigued of the bottle of Into the Wild and since I grew up in the tropical heat and the jungle is something that I love to getaway to especially now. For me this smells of a tropical rainforest or the impression of it. There are some fragrances that need heat in order for the fragrance to really amplify itself and Into The Wild is one of those fragrances. This is more green than woody on my skin and stays green. I do not get chocolate note at all which for me is alright since I enjoy the crisp aspect of Into the Wild. Perfect for layering particularly with any floral/woody fragrances too. I layer this with Gucci Bloom.

Maison Matine describe this as a woody spicy perfume. Spicy? Yes, it has spices in it, although the overall impact is not spicy. Woody - huh? There’s no wood here. It is somewhat floral but I’ve had it on for about 4 hours and the dark chocolate has yet to materialise. I also had a Maison Matine discovery set and think this is one of the better ones but I have to say I’m not blown away by the work of this house. Their bottles are cute but I don’t find the perfumes memorable or, even at best, more than pleasant.
