Into The Wild

Into the Wild is my favorite fragrance from the brand's Discovery set that I have purchased and I hope to soon be able to get a bottle since its value for money is also very good. The aroma has the perfect mix between sweet and aromatic. I am not usually a big fan of the aroma of juniper and, in general, I tend to avoid perfumes that contain this note. However, in into the Wild it gives an aromatic and slightly spicy touch to the output that makes it very interesting. Furthermore, as other users comment, it gives it that extra point that is slightly more masculine than the rest of the brand's perfumes, although in general I do not like to talk about gender in fragrances and, being a man, I tend to like them more and they look better on me in general. many perfumes initially cataloged for women. I also found this perfume to be the most complex of the brand. Without being a fragrance with an excessively complicated development, it does undergo various variations throughout its evolution, while other perfumes in the collection are fresher, lighter and more linear. The heart of the fragrance is made up of white flowers with a light touch of frangipani, which together with ginger provide a fresh sensation, making it an ideal all-rounder for any season. The brand publicizes that drying is carried out with chocolate. With this information I can find the chocolate in the dry down of the perfume but, I have to admit that if I didn't know, I would surely think of other notes such as vanilla, sugary notes and some dark wood, all of them very light. In general Into the Wild is a very unisex perfume, very easy to wear and suitable for almost any situation. Like all the brand's perfumes, its performance is moderate, although it is probably the one that offers the best performance of all, with a duration that easily exceeds 7-8 hours and a projection that becomes moderate in the first 2-3 hours. It then became soft and close to the skin as, in my case, happens with many of the brand's perfumes from the beginning. This is a perfume that, although it is not particularly original nor does it contribute anything new to perfumery, it could be classified within that large group of perfumes "FRAGRANCES TO SMELL GOOD". A group of fragrances that are more practical than artistic and whose function is to make those who wear them feel good without further ambition. After sniffing all of the Maison Matines at a local apothecary, I bought a 30ml feeling like it was one of the most unique of the collection, and really fits my love for green-forward citrus + spice fragrances. It smells super accurate on my skin to the scent in the bottle, and comes across like very bright and uplifting herbal orange scent without being too sweet. It's a great pick if you want something unisex/leaning slightly femme. I can see what other users mean when they compare it to citrus cleaning solutions, but I'm the type that finds that a bit appealing, if anything. I am surprised the citrus notes aren't prominently listed, as it reads as primarly orangey citrus to me. I can only make out a hint of that dark chocolate note, which sounded unappealing, but really works nicely in tandem with the other notes. I do really, really like this, but am unlikely to repurchase when I run out as it fades extremely fast. It's just gone in an hour or two, which is a real shame. But I am still happy I picked it up and look forward to using the rest of the bottle. Update after a few weeks, this scent has really, really grown on me and my partner. It is such a beautiful blast of orange that settles into a nice fruity but not overly sweet fresh-spice scent at drydown. The longevity is actually quite decent, and lasts nicely on clothes. It actually smells just like the ride Soarin', when you fly past the orange groves and get that orange/pine scent. I will probably repurchase at some point when I run out, this is divine. A nice light scent for the gym as well.

I can't lie, any perfume with cardamom notes in it is going to pique my interest. I was a little worried about the juniper/ginger notes (didn't want to smell like a carrot cake or "fall spices") but the floral notes and the way it's been blended make it so it stays fresh and surprisingly light! Out of the sample set, this is in the top four for me! It is markedly different from the rest, and isn't a mix of smells I can say I've found in another perfume. I think for the $35 price point on the smaller bottle, it's a pretty good deal. The scent sits pretty close to the skin, so that could either be a pro or a con—if you're wearing it at the office I don't think you'll offend anyone. Only wish it would last longer! I agree with other folks saying it's more akin to a Northwest conifer forest smell than a tropical smell, or floating somewhere between. Beautiful either way. I admit that I was more intrigued of the bottle of Into the Wild and since I grew up in the tropical heat and the jungle is something that I love to getaway to especially now. For me this smells of a tropical rainforest or the impression of it. There are some fragrances that need heat in order for the fragrance to really amplify itself and Into The Wild is one of those fragrances. This is more green than woody on my skin and stays green. I do not get chocolate note at all which for me is alright since I enjoy the crisp aspect of Into the Wild. Perfect for layering particularly with any floral/woody fragrances too. I layer this with Gucci Bloom.

Maison Matine describe this as a woody spicy perfume. Spicy? Yes, it has spices in it, although the overall impact is not spicy. Woody - huh? There’s no wood here. It is somewhat floral but I’ve had it on for about 4 hours and the dark chocolate has yet to materialise. I also had a Maison Matine discovery set and think this is one of the better ones but I have to say I’m not blown away by the work of this house. Their bottles are cute but I don’t find the perfumes memorable or, even at best, more than pleasant.

This is one beautiful fragrance. It feels like I’m standing in the lush woods of the Pacific Northwest in a sunny day in autumn. There’s something bright and warm at play and I can’t name what notes are accomplishing this, only that it’s stunning. The woody notes are so calm and comforting, the greens are bright and cheery - this is beautifully cozy and fresh. I love this combination in that it’s totally unisex - anyone can wear this! Will be purchasing a full bottle.

Wonderfully refreshing with the mildest bite. Best used for layering, the lack of base leaves it with no longevity. I like to pair it with Azzaro Chrome and Jo Malone's Lime Basil lotion.

Was in leipzig today and came across this. Bought the 15ml version and I love it. It smells like expensive massage oils. The closest scent to it would be Voyage d‘Hermes

This is a pretty spicy, and fresh perfume. An herbal, gingery top that really punches through the cardamom to make a bridge to sweet summer florals. It is kind of similar to ‘Tu Tes Calmes’ but this is whiter? And ‘Tu Tes Calmes’ is yellow? If that even makes any sense. I am used to juniper feeling greener and more aromatic than what this does, but in this fragrance the juniper is sweet and quiet, more like an actual gin fizzy drink. Usually, I also feel like cardamom is cold and more like a waffle-batter in a masculine way. This is slightly more feminine leaning, especially with those florals in the background. And I have to say, I really love that frangipani! It is what drives the sweetness and makes the herbal top a tad fresher in contrast with all those other notes making it into a warm spicy. My only negative here is that the longevity is really weak... Not too shocking when it comes to a fragrance with a light and almost citrus-y top. Though, one could hope that the longevity would be slightly longer since it has some of those spicy and warm elements to it. But I love a good ginger scent, and I think this bottle is one of the better in the line so I will still give this a like!

Fresh, Spicy, Pine-y Smells like fresh cool forest air. I do not get "jungle" like the branding and image implies as this is much cooler and drier to me. More cool green evergreen than mossy humid kopek trees. It is light and fresh but has decent longevity and sillage compared to other Maison Matine fragrances but not great. A solid like. This is a good spring and summer fragrance. It's not a freshie (it's too thick) but it does smell fresh in a way. Very naturey. I mostly get juniper berries and cardamom. I do not get any dark chocolate notes. I have conflicting feelings. Just a sniff of it smells great. But wearing it, it feels oddly like sweet cleaner. I like the scent but don't want to smell like this.

I really like this one, it's an easy breezy unisex fragrance. I smell mostly juniper, ginger, pepper, and cardamom, with a hint in the base of something warm and sweet, which is the dark chocolate, but I never would have guessed that it was a chocolate note. That depth keeps me intrigued. Very pleasant throughout the entire wear time.

Nice crisp and fresh scent. For a decent price you will wear something that nobody else is wearing. That said, this won't be a scent that will turn heads. You will be happy if anyone smells you at all as it is rather weak. This is probably my favourite scent from the house but i have the same complaint with most of them.

This perfume is not linear. It is a green spicy fragrance to my opinion. Very fresh, more for hot days. Not so fan of the opening (too green) but I like the background (spices with a small touch of flowers). The opening is masculine but the background is unisex. I can't smell any pepper or wood or chocolate.

this really caught me by suprise. The juniper berry adds some sweetness and the cardamom adds some spicyness. And paired with the ginger this thing is a masterpiece! I’m loving it. This is good for summer spring and maybe fall even!

It starts with frangipane and recalls my childhood memory. I can't smell any pepper or dark chocolate. The dry down is clean with a hint of sweetness, probably created by the berry and magnolia notes. The bottle is also very cute.

This one is a bit spicy, for sure. I can smell the pepper and cardamom distinctly. However, I just realized I am not much into spicy scents. If that's your jam, then this one is a-okay. I find that it is okay even for people who don't like spicy scents that much because it is not too overbearing. No chocolate notes detected.

Decent quality scent. Floral, aromatic and peppery scent. Unisex for sure. Worth trying.

I have a sample of this perfume, and to me it’s not pleasant at all. I can’t imagine myself ever purchasing it. It smells a bit like a toilet freshener, which is definitely not a positive quality in a perfume.

There's something reminiscent of decaying leaves in the opening, then a wet dog. Cardamom and ginger give it a slightly medicinal note, too. And some sharp flowers peeking through. Didn't like it a bit.

Oh no. I was so disappointed by this. Juniper and ginger sounded so lovely. But I got harsh synthetic cleaner scent. And I could even taste it in my mouth, that astringent chemical taste. I waited two hours and finally scrubbed it off. Sad.

Part of the discovery set samples I disliked this the most. Not very wild, reminded me of condoms. A fruit flavoured one past the expiry date. Yep stale greasy rubber

Incomprehensible smell. Part bathroom cleaner part green house part year old chocolate cake.
