Niche December Contestant 10 A very nice leather-wood combination with a raspberry top note. This is essentially a niche version of Forever Wanted Elixir, with similar sillage and longevity, yet with a more pleasant dry down, which however stays closer the skin. The oud notes are present quite clearly, which is great. Overall an 8.5/10. Would wear it if I didn't have FW Elixir, feels a bit redundant despite being slightly different in a good way.

Pafory Advent Calendar 2025 – Day 10 First Impression: A bold, modern oud-woody composition. Strong, slightly medicinal saffron & some raspberry. Clear oud and leather notes present immediately. The initial profile strongly evokes the style of Ombré Nomade. Within 15-20 minutes, it softens into a beautiful, dry cedar and sandalwood. The final drydown is a much more intimate skin scent, focused on clean woods with lingering whispers of raspberry, agarwood and leather. Noticeably loud and diffusive in the opening, but the projection recedes fairly quickly on my skin, becoming moderate to intimate. For some reason the oud note smells like ketchup to my nose. I adore Somnia from this brand but I don't think Alter Ego is for me.
