Quandoley 805

The guy at the store where I tested this told me people say it smells like the colors on the bottle, and it absolutely does. I smelled this without looking at the notes and all I was getting was olive oil dribbled over a custardy strawberry - which is probably the combination of labdanum and ylang-ylang. The amber in this grounds it but doesn’t darken it by no means. I am also very sensitive to leather scents, but I don’t detect any here - thank god.

I love this one, you have to smell it! Herbal citrusy with a vanilla frankincense dry down, not oudy at all! I usually have issues with oudy dry downs but this one doesn't bother me, probably because the benzoin and frankincense isn't as oudy as oud itself :) This is delicious!

Very sweet, leathery fragrance. It's a smooth leather and the sweet (balsamic, vanillic) notes keep my interest. I think I smell plum, although not listed and I don't really get much of oud so it's subtle.

A surprise from this swiss brand that I had never heard about. Quandoley is one of those perfumes full of ingredients that I feel will challenge my nose when I read the notes. It is also one of those that has finally surprised me by being sublime, pleasant and balanced when wearing it. It has a curious opening of labdanum and what to my nose is a hint of olive oil, a delicate reminder of my visits to an oil mill. It soon becomes a sweet floral perfume with a lot of vanilla, a very subtle oud, a hint of incense and a large amount of resins. On my skin it is quite linear, it has a noticeable sillage, perhaps even heavy for some noses so be careful not to overapply, and it lasts on my skin for more than 10 hours. I find it nocturnal, perfect for special occasions or going out to dinner, especially in the cold months. I wouldn't buy yet because I have perfumes that are similar in style, saving the huge distances, and that I would use on similar occasions, such as Oud Save the Queen by Atkinsons or Born From Fire by Simone Andreoli. This Quandoley shares with them the fact that it is a delicate creation made from robust ingredients and I find it very elegant. Perhaps the only drawback I see is, as is often the case, its price. This is such a unique take on an Amber scent. You get hit with a mix of olive, labdanum, vanilla and ylang ylang giving it a herby citrusy amber that’s quite spicy. It’s resinous, rich and balsamic with the leather and I’m also getting something resembling frankincense. IG/Tiktok: @wilddew_vibes

@essenceseeker no, it has the same woodiness but doesn’t resemble guidance by any means. Still a great and solid release though!!
