I adore this. However, you really need to love a dark vanilla bomb because that's what this is. As soon as I smelled it, I thought I'd already smelled something like that before. However, it's just a deep sweet amber with plumeria (but not heavy or spicy like Ambre Loup by Rania J) that nobody else seems to have quite made the same. This would pair well with the Delicia cream by Sol de Janeiro or the Cheirosa 40 mist. Edit: I adore this perfume BUT longevity is not great. You really need to overspray.

Beautiful powdery vanilla. I was afraid the ambergris would be annoying, as it usually is for me, but it is only making the scent balanced and preventing it from becoming too sweet. It is unique and likable at the same time. And the name, Somnia, fits, it’s a good bedtime scent 🦦

When I sniffed it for the first time, I was like «omg, it’s screaming luxurious, mature vanilla – and it feels familiar!» I was waiting for my Goldfield & Banks Silky Woods to compare the two scents. This one feels more suitable for evenings and special occasions, with a louder projection. It’s a dark, sexy vanilla. I can easily imagine wearing it in a long fur coat with red lips. Btw, I just love Jérôme Epinette's creations!

A dark and warm vanilla perfume with a lot of amber. Perfect for winter. --> Cosy & sexy, cocooning & seductive, it is a unisex scent. Very good quality of ingredients. For sure, you need to love vanilla and amber!

It's too much. I found myself walking around thinking "who is wearing that beast of a fragrance?" only to realise it was me. Projects and lasts like crazy. Very very heavy amber wood vanilla. Floral notes only if you lean into intimate range. Reads unisex to me. It's a quality, well-rounded scent, but not for me.

11/24 Heavy and luxurious vanilla. Cashmere wood makes it a little sharp. Overall it rings rather synthetic to me. Smelling my wrist directly is overwhelming, but from afar this scent isn’t too bad.

A sad mess of a perfume. The opening is dominated by what I figure is supposed to be a fruity Plumeria note, but it actually smells a lot - and I don’t say this easily - like vomit. And not just on my skin, on paper this nasty effect is even more pronounced. Fortunately the vomit accord fades quickly into the base: an overbearing, very synthetic ambergris note with a bland, generic vanilla note. Maybe I smell a bit of labdanum too, but it’s hard to tell with the harsh ambrox looming over everything. I’m not even going to give my sample away because I would hate for anyone in my social circle to smell like this.

immediately reminded me of some perfume I have but took me a second... and then I realised it's Mitsio Vanille by Soeurs de Noe... I first realised the linkw ith perfume and then noticed that both are by Jerome Epinette... The notes don't look like anything apart from vanille is in common but I really think the base has the same DNA. Mitsio vanille doesn't have this dirty note in the opening that reviewers below complain about, which is more pronounced on paper indeed. Just saying for those turned off by the opening note in Somnia 517
