Joyeux Osmanthe

Juicy yet creamy. Floral yet fruity. Really well balanced and delicious. The green leaves and stone fruit hold their own without shouting. Osmanthus is the star, obviously. This is gorgeous. One of the few perfumes I've tried where fruitiness doesn't sacrifice sophistication. There's a slight soapiness but not enough to bother me. It's very fresh, perfect for spring and summer. Could see this being worn for a daytime wedding or other occasion. EDIT: Ok I will admit after wearing this one day I smelled my wrist during the dry down and instantly thought "shampoo" 😭 but maybe that's a danger with fruity scents in general.

The moment I smell this parfume, I fall in love with the peach-nectarine cheerfulness. The yellow party stop right in the perfect moment so for me is not overwhelming. I tried to use it in hot summer but still beautiful. You still can feel the 'green' and refreshing. The sillage is okay, not dissapointing. The durability is awesome. I am up to buy the fullsize. Good job Maison Rebatchi.

Gorgeous bone-dry fruit and osmanthus with an iris backbone. It reminds me of L'Atessa but with the fruit stones thrown in. Though they're apparently top notes, the fruits come to the fore in the drydown for me, with the opening dominated by rooty iris and osmanthus.

You're sinking in a sea of sweet, buttery honeysuckle blossoms and sticky osmanthus nectar. Your ship's sails, sundered. Your deck, submerged. You can see nothing but white. All is lost, and you wouldn't have it any other way. Joyeux Osmanthe by Maison Rebatchi.

This is lovely! Light, transparent flowery veil. I’m getting sweet, nondescript fruitiness from osmanthus and a big dose of slightly spicy tuberose. Wears beautifully in summer.

Mohamed Rebatchi asked "the alchemist" Maurice Roucel for a perfume based on a tuberose. However, it wasn't the favourite flower of the perfumer, so he decided to combine it with the osmanthus - and these two floral notes are the stars of the composition. After a bright and green opening, white flowers come into play, enveloped by the creamy osmanthus. The most predominant notes on my skin are: green tuberose, slightly sweet honeysuckle and of course osmanthus, which adds apricot/peach-sweetness and a smooth suede nuance to the fragrance. Musk and cashmeran in the dry-down apply a soft, warm, slightly powdery undertone to the whole composition. Joyeux Osmanthe isn't overly sweet or fruity on my skin. This is a fresh, soft, creamy scent - very well blended, natural smelling and made of high quality ingredients. This is a sophisticated and charming perfume, perfect for spring & summer.

I have the whole set. They're all quite light and meant for layering, and this is no exception. I smell osmanthus but not much else. It's watery but that makes this set perfect for hot summer days. Summer is a difficult time for me fragrance-wise because most of my things are heavy gourmands. I don't love any of the Maison Rebatchi fragrances, but they fill the summer void.

A fresh, very osmanthus experience. Osmanthus with a soft leathery undertone and added apricot boosting its natural fruitiness, plus a gentle dusting of cinnamon and light leafy greens. It sits in the center of a veritable bouquet of mixed flowers with a gourmand, creamy honeyed sweetness. Moderate projection fades over 3-4hr, longevity 8-10hr.

Spring in a bottle with osmanthus, apricot and tuberose. It is a happy scent, fruity floral scent. Feeling: you eat an apricot in a garden with tuberoses. --> Same vibe of Fleur d'Osmanthus by Roger et Gallet.

I'm a huge fan of Maison Rebatchi, I have around 3 of their fragrances. You can definitely smell the fruit in here paired with a nice yellow-y flower. This is very nice.

I don't pick up fruity at all, but rather LOTS of powerdy. It's not bad at all and I do like it. I prefer Jasmin Satin though.

Overall it's a very sweet grape juice throughout. The opening is canned sugared peaches, black currant jam and grape juice. It reminds me of Girl by Rochas, but it is sweeter, more intense and not as fresh. Then Neroli and Orange blossom take over (the same way like in Girl), even with some honey. Tuberose is also detectable, but Osmanthus and other florals are not. It is far from Fleur Narcotique by Ex Nihilo. But if Fleur Narcotique existed as a special Neroli edition, the drydown would probably be similar to Joyeux Osmanthe. Dina_France (YouTube perfume reviews)

Joyeux Osmanthe shocked me with its opening notes: I seemed to be smelling alternately something nutty, something like vegetables (maybe carrots?), and with that, a very loud, screeching, undefinable floral note. For an hour or so, during which time was intent on my daily piano practice, I just couldn't wait to shower later and scrub off the scent. However, the drydown I was left with was fairly pleasant. Joyeux Osmanthe is a definite "no" for me, but it was also a big surprise.

Very very fruity composition, but this watery nectarine lacks ripeness strength, surely it was the intention of the perfumer but it is too small for me, it is thin. A lot of lys lili, sweet water. White flowers in their most innocent facet, none of the alcoholic-tobacco-tea power that osmanthus can provide, not indolic carnal or solar tuberose here. It is the version of the first youth of the declared notes. Beautiful and tender fruity composition but it is not for me.

Joyeux Osmanthe stays in the middle of the road for me. I pick up the sour peach and apricot notes upon the initial spray, then some florals—and in the drydown, everything is on a bed of powder. The fruit smells like it’s fermented, and bit like a fake suede handbag. Considering I’m not a big fruity floral fan, I was surprised I didn’t dislike Joyeux Osmanthe, but I don’t love it either.

A nice abricoty-tuberose , again a very interesting composition that would have been grandiose if the perfume was not as diffusive as wet tea bag forgotten in the bottom of a cup. Like with all the other ones from this brand , everything is in the opening and falls flat after 30min.

〰✴Overwhelming Osmanthus✴〰 This scent makes me think of the color yellow, very bright, sparkly and energizing, even too much for my taste. I hate the opening, sticky sweet and overpowering: you smell nothing but a powerful osmanthus. After half an hour you get more of the fruity notes of nectarine and apricot, but the scent still remains too sticky for me. The only thing I like about the scent is the drydown after many hours, when the scent is fading away and is barely noticeable. More delicate floral notes prevail towards the end, and I also feel the more enveloping notes of amber and cashmeran. Other than that it's a non-relaxing scent that creates a sense of discomfort in me. I have a sample of this, I would never buy the bottle and I don't recommend buying it. They gave me this sampler at the perfume store since I said I usually like sweet parfumes, but this one is just cloying. While I personally don't like it, I think it might be appreciated by people who like very strong, energetic floral scents. It may suits people who feels very feminine and young. I have to mention the excellent longevity and sillage. Setting & feelings: You enter a flower store. A pushy saleswoman suddenly makes you smell a bunch of flowers, putting them too close to your nose. The smell is too strong and pungent, it gets right into your nostrils and you feel like you have pollen left in your nose. You walk out of the store with a big headache, and as you walk away the smell becomes milder and milder, more and more pleasant. Overall: 4/10 N✴〰

The opening is sour, dry and leaning masculine. There's powder, but not the comforting type. Way too dry and green for me, almost headache inducing. Fruity notes are faint, almost unnoticeable, and leaning on the sour side, making this experience a failure in my personal taste. The spicy note keeps the fragrance in a dangerous "cleaning product" area until it softens into more enjoyable white flowers, still spicy and covered in powder. It doesn't really turn sweet or deep in the drydown, overall this smells suffocating to me.

I really didn't care for this one, and looking at the notes, it is clear that my "four florals is too many" rule applies in this case. I got the Maison Rebatchi sampler and did not expect this to be a winner and ummm... true fact. I was quite pleasantly surprised by Jasmine satin though--also floral centric but a much nicer fit for me. And to throw a little compliment to Mr. Roucel, the Musc Panache is a nice offering.

After reading reviews about this scent, I wanted to try it and bought a sample. I honestly could throw it out as I know I will never wear it. The aroma is so astringent and bitter like sap or bug repellent. I also got a weird taste in my mouth after smelling it on a scent strip and on my skin. Perhaps I got a bad batch. Certainly not what I hoped for.

What a beautiful scent. Whether it really is a Niche Perfume is debatable. But quality it is. It is cheerful white floral perfume. The osmanthus is not even the flower that stands out the most. The tuberose takes center stage in this fragrance. The tuberose provides the creaminess and the osmanthus (and jasmine??) provides the freshness. The scent starts off fresh and quickly turns to a more creamy scent. I'm not really fond of the opening. But I really appreciate the quality of this. The opening is nothing new. But where many scents with the same kind of fresh opening start with lily of the valley and lots of citrus (this reminds me of a toilet freshener), this scent has exchanged the lily of the valley for a beautiful tuberose. The citrus is assisted by a fruity jasmine. When I need a large and airy bunch of white flowers, I like to combine this scent with Lys 41 from Le Labo. This fragrance gives even more depth and more lightness to Lys 41.

Beautiful pure osmanthus and Iris ! Clean, airy, elegant. Bright, super feminine and put together ❤️ Crisp and classy. An aura, a transparent halo of white light. I still prefer Valaya on the same DNA. But this is really gorgeous. There is a coldness and sweetness to it at the same time i appreciate. Could absolutely be used unisex. Would be great on a man. I would invest milions in his finance firm w no doubts or have him as my broker of luxury estate ( surely he has fine architecture taste if this is his scent trail). It's a Great ethereal angelic fresh put - together scent profile. A killer at business meetings for who wants to be taken seriously but with a touch of elegance and grace. Clean clean clean. Do not expect fruity because this, isn't it. It's a subtle business card, a cloud of elevated class.

I would definitely agree this is similar to Peche Cardinal. They’re close sisters. I picked up this sample without even thinking just wanted to try something from this line and I cannot resist a orange blossom/neroli combo. And it’s done so well here. Where as Peche Cardinal can start a bit sharp, here it’s done smoothly. I really enjoyed this and look forward to trying other fragrances from this house.

Osmanthus is a food-scent to me, especially when I smell it this time of the year. Mostly because I associate it so much with the late-summer, autumnal teas and dessert jellies I love. Joyeux Osmanthus captures this 'gourmand' aspect really well. I can almost taste it. It's sweet without being cloying, just like the Chinese jelly cakes that feature this blossom.

very straight forward osmanthus with soft suede edge but not overwhelming at all. I instantly detect orange blossom and peachiness, really well made. HAs nothing to do with Kilian, more cuir de chine from les indemodables

Unfortunately disappointed in this one. So strong and soapy it's annoying. I can't smell anything but osmanthus, good I only got sample, quite rare for me to dislike perfume so much..

On skin, it’s smells like a mix of Fig Tea by Nicolai and Peche Cardinal by Mdci. Its projects and has a nice sillage. Not overwhelming or cloying. Perfect for Spring!

Green sour scent of April flowers (like bird cherry) GGGB similarity - if only in the drydown Greatly recommend everyone to test it on your skin first!
