Velvet Date

Smells slightly floral and is very date heavy; there is also a gasoline note. not a fan. It smells like an older Middle Eastern man, it's not bad, but I wouldn't recommend it for younger men, and def wouldn't blind buy.

As an oud hater, imagine my surprise at liking this! Usually oud is headache inducing, screeching, gasoline, sour, and so heavy I can’t handle it. And I have sampled a lot, even some of the most loved- it’s just been an ingredient that doesn’t sit right with me. But on a whim I blind bought a small bottle of this perfume because I like a couple other perfumes from this house, and I figured I could give it to my husband if it wasn’t for me. But it is balanced so perfectly with light florals, a tiny touch of date sweetness, and vanillic warmth it cuts through the sharp oud and lets it shine. Dries down to a really pretty balsamic honey vanilla. A very happy surprise for me!
