Encens Fumé

I’m excited to get to post the first review of this fragrance. I’ve tested it out a couple times after receiving it, first off, the quality of the packaging, bottle and juice is fantastic. The box art is beautiful, well packaged and presented. The bottle is a very heavy glass, beautiful metal plaque, pressurized atomizer and a cap that fits snug enough to pass the test of picking up the bottle by the cap. The fragrance is a parfum concentration (approx 30%) which is wildly strong. As far as the fragrance goes, this is a great incense fragrance that fits perfectly within the world of an incense fragrances without being redundant. It doesn’t add any crazy twists or turns to traditional incense fragrances. It opens with a huge blast of pepper. That pepper settles down and you get more incense and nutmeg and olibanum after that. The myrrh starts to become more prevalent after an hour and is the star of the show in my opinion. It creates more of a “warm” church incense vibe where most others end up cold and damp (which is not a bad thing). This feels like all the same ingredients you know and expect from incense fragrances ( full incense, Garson, casbah, etc) just done with different proportions. It’s also not closer to “encens flamboyant” than it is to any other aforementioned incense fragrances, and owning both I don’t think it’s redundant, despite the similar note break down this one takes different emphasis and is unique and all its own thing.
