Arabican Rose

I love this perfume but, alas, it is another coffee-less coffee fragrance. It opens very rosy—pure and slightly heady—and sweet from the syrupy raspberry with a touch of bitterness from the almond. Very much rose jam with crushed almonds vibes. The almond fades after the first two hours and the raspberry fades after the third. The rose is very much present throughout the top and middle notes. There's a warm spice that appears on the periphery around the four-hour mark that may be a hint of the coffee note, but I cannot detect it when I smell the area that I've sprayed directly. The patchouli emerges around this time and adds a lovely, robust earthiness to the rose. This is followed by the aromatic and slightly woodsy sandalwood, around which time the rose begins to fade. At six to seven hours in, when it is all but gone, you are left with a comfortingly sweet vanilla skin scent with the slightest hint of rose. All around, this is a wonderful perfume. It lasted about seven hours on me and the sillage was moderate. And my search for interesting perfumes with distinct coffee notes continues...

a coffee date with a long-missed friend in a warm cafe cozy with a touch of romance, something a loved one will only fully appreciate with an embrace. definitely worth the money and does a good job avoiding any sickeningly sweet gourmand notes, which tends to be tricky for coffee scents. biggest downside is the shorter wear, it tends to fade and blend into a person's aromatic presence rather than being distinctly noticed after a few hours. it is lovely, and the right call when a warm and intimate but mild presence is desired.

This just smells exactly how you'd expect. Bitter coffee and roses. Very mature, warm and elegant scent.

Rose and Coffee are there for sure! I feel a strange "roasted peanut" kind of smell in the first minutes, then rose, coffee and patchouli stay strong in the drydown. Surely a unique fragrance.

Had the opposite experience of the solo prior reviewer! The coffee came through very strongly, with a jammy rose playing in the background. Sillage seemed strong at first but quickly quieted down. Not bad and seems like a safe public wear, but I’m not a fan of the rose/coffee combo. If this sounds like a blend that would interest you, however, it’s worth sampling. I received it as part of a Halloween sample set by Ministry of Scent.

Such a strange experience - I'm not picking up on any of the listed notes, except the rose. I am getting this very powdery rose scent, and maybe the sandalwood peeking through. This smells exactly like if you were to find a vintage perfume at an antique shop and smell it. Too much alcohol, powder that smacks your senses, and artificial rose trying to take over. It's a shame since I love the bottle.

This is the first ever almond fragrance that I detest! It figures that the almond note is hardly detectable. Had it been more prominent and the thick rose less prominent it might have saved this fragrance from being too old school. Not my jam!

rose patchouli with coffee and vanilla, very mediocre feels low quality. has a sharpness that reminds me of 20/20. i can feel the back of my throat itching when i sniff it

unfortunately it's giving B.O.

I get strong coffee and rose immediately, it’s rather unusual. It’s strong black unsweetened coffee to me, not milky. Shortly thereafter vanilla starts to emerge and fruity notes, but I don’t get raspberry specifically. I have to say, the rose note in this is really lovely. At present I’m unsure about this one, I will need to test it for longer to see how it develops. It’s certainly different to any other fragrance I own.

This is a medicinal rose scent that opens with a strong dose of black, almost burnt coffee, it is interesting, something rather unusual. But not completely enjoyable. I am glad that I got a sample, I guess this will be ok for coffee lovers. The burnt coffee note stays strong maybe 15-20 minutes and then gets a lot softer but doesn't go away. The rose and patchouli in the base are clean but slightly medicinal to my nose.

I actually don't really get coffee much from this. To me it's a deep, jammy spicy rose, which has been done before. I like it, and the genre in general, but too similar to Acca Kappa Giardino Segreto, which I own.
