Tonka Rouge

It's simple (in a good way), it's comforting and playful. No overthinking, just overall an incredibly nice sweet cherry. Mood booster. Very nicely priced for such a gem Slightly boozy cherry, raspberry notes are not too prominent on my skin. I think it can work in any season, but in summer it's more of a night time option

I am in between a like and a love for this one. I do enjoy it since I really do enjoy this type of scent. As a man, I find it does lean a tad bit feminine, but I don't mind that. I prefer most of the Cherry Syrup line by Proad (Cherry Syrup Gold!). If you have Cherry Syrup this would be redundant. No denying this smells good though. Both Cherry Syrup and this are around the same price point, so pick your smell...its a toss up. 8.8/10

Not sure if it's an association thing for me but this fragrance didn't do it for me. I think I am just less partial to sweeter/cherry notes. It also gave me a headache pretty much immediately, so likely something about it is not sitting with me. The drydown didn't really change much for me either, it was still pretty sweet overall (not sickly sweet but definitely more of a woody strong sweet). Might give it another go at a later time since I have a decant of it. It feels like more of a winter going-out to a bar fragrance. If that is your thing and want something a bit more sweet with decent longevity, I'd say go for it.

I got a bunch of Maison Tahite samples. Vanilla2 and Tonka Rouge among them. I am a Gourmand Head, a Vanilla Gourmand Head to be precise. Color me shocked. SHOCKED, when I found myself in love with TR over V2. WTH. TR make up is rounder, more full bodied and though I often can't stand the scent of wood, here it works. I can't lie, sometimes smelling my wrist reminds me of smelling a generic red candle or red cinnamon hots, but it beats the babydoll head or open container of Pillsbury buns of V2.
