Vanextasy

The name Vanextasy made me think this would be a big, deep vanilla bomb, but in reality it's a soft and tender kind of vanilla that isn't even very sweet. It's a bit of a chameleon, too, every time I try it smells a little different to me. The main note is a bright, smooth vanilla. Sometimes I smell an unlisted tobacco note in this, which really tones down the sweetness. At other times I get a subtle aniseed note, and sometimes it's just dry sandalwood. But when the scent dries down, it always becomes really creamy due to the coconut and maybe also the milk note. This is also what keeps this from turning into a spicy winter gourmand. The coconut and the overall lightness of the scent make it suitable for summer, too, without having the typical tropical florals you often find in summery vanilla-coconut fragrances. This is a lovely scent. Sweet and delicious, but not overwhelmingly so. Very versatile and as unisex as coconut-vanilla can be. A soft cloud of creaminess and spice.

Vanextasy is a dead ringer for Al Rehab's Golden Sand and also Gourmand Bottega, which I discovered looking for a dupe for Golden Sand. Clearly, I love their shared smell! However, Golden Sand is only to be found in an oil roller, which I don't care for, and Gourmand Bottega is pricier and harder to find. Like her aforementioned sisters, Vanexstasy is a smooth and long- lasting lactonic caramel. The sandalwood is barely there and I don't get any Peru balsam, I wish I did. It's an easy reach for any gourmand lover. I really like this whole line of vanillas by Maison Tahite. Honestly, they're not covering any new ground with their 5 vanilla-centric perfumes; I see direct comparisons to other frags from 4 out of the 5 Maison Tahites. But they are well-executed, long-lasting and reasonably priced. I don't really need a bottle of Vanexstasy but just might get one anyway...

Simple... yet so effective. To my nose, this is a straight up pure vanilla fragrance with a little bit of velvety woods in the dry down. It begins as a very sweetened vanilla bean and develops into a hug of sweet cedar-y vanilla once it sits for a while. Just delightful. It's not heavy or offensive in the slightest. This would also be a fantastic layering fragrance if you want to give your smells a hit of creamy vanilla sweetness. It's also a pretty good performer - I was able to get about 3-4 solid hours of wear out of it before I felt like I could use another spritz. Every time I wave my arms around, I get a nose full of deliciousness! I definitely would love to have a full bottle one day! 7.5/10

I only read the notes on Fragrantica, and then I just blind bought the whole bottle. Because to me, this niche house is still really new but they're really impressed me with the packaging and story, but mostly for a niche line, the price of it is affordable. I was kinda worried at first, but when I received the fragrance and sprayed it on, I felt so happy. I felt in love in an instant with this perfume. And let me tell you, I’ve never gotten compliments this fast in my life. After I sprayed it on for 30 mins and walked past the street, a woman already asked me about what fragrance i was wearing and said that I smell so good. The best vanilla fragrance ever for me.

I thought this would be the most cloying, almost sickening fragrance based on the notes, and I was very much ready to be stunned by the combination of caramel, milk and peru balsam. Turns out this is a beautifully blended fragrance that sits quite close to the skin and is very pleasant. From the opening upon drydown, the notes remain in beautiful harmony but change ever so slightly. This is the type of vanilla I absolutely adore, never too obvious or artifical, yet always there to blend in the other notes. Absolutely gorgeous and well done fragrance.

Usually I am into musky and spicy perfumes but this one allowed me to open new perspectives. Vanilla and cocunut with a bit of spice. Like new me on the days when I want to feel sweet and romantic. Such a great combination of notes for so affirdable price. Good for everyday sweetness on your skin. I love ir very much for everyday scent. Woody and spicy perfumes goes better for evening. This is great for daily scent and I get compliements at work. Worth buying if you like sweet scents.

A sweet vanilla caramel. Basically caramel made with a splash of added coconut milk, vanilla extract, plus peru balsam to impart a slight nutty flavor and resinous feel. Smooth and creamy, still warm but starting to set, grounded by a woody base that keeps it from being overly sweet. The woods slowly overtake the caramel as it dries down. Moderate initial projection fades over ~2hr and faintly persists through 3-5hr, longevity 7-9hr.

I absolutely love it! I heard about it on tiktok and then found it in a store and it was love at first sniff! If you’re looking for a perfume that really smells like vanilla and coconut and nothing else, this is the one! I was looking for a true vanilla perfume because I felt like every vanilla perfume I’ve heard of on social medias it never really smelled like vanilla. This one does smell like a coconut and vanilla milkshake!

Unexpectedly and unashamedly wonderful! This is the quieter, more refined little sister of Angel's Share - similar DNA, but light, airy, infinitely wearable, daytime safe.. absolutely glorious on a cold bright day! An instant and lasting true love - also instant FB buy, post sample. This one will be one of my winter core scents this season - really the best of the best in terms of accessible vanilla gourmand!

It is delicious, complex yet comforting vanilla scent. But it is more than just vanilla. It has a very similar vibe to Sol De Janeiro EDP, just not so punchy. They are like cousins. I'm mostly getting complex, creamy, fruity caramel-vanilla. It does not smell aš food, but is a beautiful gourmand, with decent performance. Not overpowering, but definitely stays along.

This scent is very nice and soft. I would argue that it‘s a „good person“ fragrance, leaning feminine, and opposite to most Montale fragrances such as Mukhallat or Intense Café, which give off more of a temptress vibe. To my nose (I‘m a guy), it‘s a good alternative to the hundreds of cloying floral fragrances for women, and I would like my girlfriend to wear this.

I wear this every day. It is the perfect layering perfume for me. This is a transparent vanilla with a realistic coconut note. On me the coconut morphs into a lovely fresh tobacco. I would say that this is perfectly unisex. The vanilla is not sweet but remains rich and intoxicating.

One of the best coconut vanilla scents! It’s basically vacation in a bottle. It is absolutely delicious, so delicious that my first instinct was to taste it. Turned out to be a bad idea! But I love it! I will have to get a bottle while it is still summer in the northern hemisphere.

Sweet bourbon vanilla caramel with a sandalwoody, balsamic base. It's very lovely, more femme & soft. Seems like it contains a lot of naturals. I layer this with Bianco Latte or Bujairami Gingerbread, for the gourmand lovers dream.

First Impressions (Sample) I’m not a coconut fan by any means. I tend to lean toward musky, indolic, or clean fragrances, so this one wasn’t really made for me. That said, I can recognize a well-executed coconut scent when I smell one—and this is definitely that. This doesn’t go the usual beachy sunscreen route. It’s more gourmand-leaning, like a fruity coconut cream with some warmth behind it. It has a softness to it that feels intentionally cozy, almost like a coconut milk dessert with a subtle boozy undertone. The issue for me is the performance. It wears extremely close to the skin and fades quickly. I don’t mind subtle scents, but this one disappears before it even has a chance to develop. Edit 1 Still not for me, but if you're someone who loves coconut-forward gourmands and doesn’t mind intimate projection, this might be worth checking out. I can see it being comforting to the right nose. Summary Smells like: Fruity coconut milk with a creamy gourmand twist Family of: Soft fruity gourmands Sillage: Intimate Longevity: Short Verdict: Pass – Nicely done for what it is, but it doesn’t suit my taste or last long enough to make an impression.

Maison Tahite VaneXtasy is my final try of the house from my two sample sets, and fittingly, a vanilla-led fragrance with a bit of coconut/caramel/milky/floral supporting cast, light while still being decadently sweet, a nice additional option in this catalogue of many gourmands and several other vanilla fragrances. I quite like it, even if it’s not at the very top of my list of the house or its vanillas. It’s definitely worth trying, as I can say of most of the house, especially for gourmand lovers, who will find plenty of not only vanilla, but also coffee and chocolate, in this house. Like the rest of the line, this is priced at $120 for 100ml in EDP concentration (sold at Luckyscent and other boutiques), very reasonable for niche perfumery in today’s market, and the fragrance performs well. 7 out of 10

I'm wearing this on a very warm Spring day and it works surprisingly well. If you like a vanilla toffee gourmand but detest the ubiquity and tooth-aching sweetness of THAT Sol de Janeiro spray then this could be for you. It is not a teenage vanilla: this is nicely refined and smooth. I love that the coconut is creamy rather than plastic which I sometimes find in coconut scents. It does make me think of expensive sun tan lotion which is not a bad thing. For me this isn't a winter scent - I prefer something much deeper and darker for the cold weather months. I'd happily wear this in the summer as an evening perfume when I want something with a sultry tropical vibe. I instantly liked it, which is a rare thing for me these days. Lovely stuff.

Sinfully rich vanilla right off the bat. The sandalwood and balsam provides a real heft to this fragrance. Slowly, slowly you're weighted down until you're falling deeper and deeper into this caramel vanilla fantasy. ⋆ ̊꩜。⊹+⟡⋆ I desperately wanted to smell the milk and coconut notes but they never shone through (maybe my dabber sample is to blame). I'd hope it would be more sunscreen-y, based on the reviews here, but on my skin it smells like a gift box of assorted gourmet chocolates and candies.

Very sweet! I like it! For me, it’s not at all the marshmallow or cotton candy sort of sweet !!! Definitely get the Caramel, Coconut, and Milk with the Cedar/Sandalwood base all working together to create a captivating and intriguing scent . I feel like this could be a very alluring sort of date night fragrance. The only note that might be a bit too intense for me in the combination would be the Peru Balsam, but I still like the fragrance.

This is a lovely vanilla—I used up my sample in no time. It is not as sweet or cloying as the notes led me to fear. Very easy going and casual. Not a bomb of any kind. Special points scored for the way coconut is used. I love the idea of coconut but have learned that I often don’t like the ones I test. Strong like.

I've tried three perfumes from this line..this one, Cacao In The Sun & Vicious Cacao. The last is my fav with Vanextasy being second. You can't go wrong with caramel & vanilla combos! Just wish it lasted longer.

The other notes are so subtle in this, I mostly only get the vanilla. Just a tiny bit of sandalwood and coconut. Simple, but rich smelling vanilla.

Revisiting this, I’m not getting the rich vanilla I got in the first go. This time this is caramel and sandalwood. Pleasant but not revolutionary.

Mysterious gourmand, vanilla caramel lactonic yet grounded and mature

I'm pretty new to fragrances, so take everything I say with a couple grains of salt. To the comments saying that this fragrance doesn't smell like a lot, I pretty much agree. The coconut note definitely smells sunscreen-y to me rather than creamy or toasty, so for those who like that, this may be pleasant. I don't smell this as sour milk at all, but it does absolutely smell like lotion to me. I've been looking for a vanilla fragrance, and this isn't really my style. Maybe people who like a powdery, gentle, light vanilla will like this. The smell kind of reminds me of something an elementary school teacher would wear. TDLR: kinda beachy, smells like lotion to me, vanilla struck me as light, nothing really stood out to me

A smoky, rich, creamy, caramel, thick, but not cloying, vanilla fragrance that is warm, comforting and enveloping. I pick up more caramel than vanilla and I do not detect any woodsy notes. I do not pick up anything synthetic or plastic upon initial application, and it gives a soft, sweet, warm and pleasant scent bubble throughout the wear. It dries down to a Bianco Latte (but not plasticky), so if you like that vanilla gourmand scent profile, I would consider this a safe blind buy.

Blind purchased this being full aware of my wariness for milk notes. And unfortunately I was not pleasantly surprised - the milk note combined with unsweetened coconut and caramel translated as dusty woods and stale milk. Overall not a bad perfume, and I definitely prefer it over Vanillade and Floranilla. But if a wanted a similar vibe but executed flawlessly, I will be reaching for Serge Lutens Un Bois Vanille.

Lactonic coconut sandalwood with vanilla, balsamic notes and caramel-like benzoin compounds create a marshmallow like effect, like in SL Un Bois Vanille, but with none of the smokiness and many a tenth of the sandalwood. Much lighter with a whipped cream quality to it. At the end of the day it reminds me a bit of high calorie creamer some people choose to drink with their coffee, quite feminine leaning. Not bad.

I received a sample of this. Reading the notes and previous reviews, I am a bit baffled. I would have never had guessed this has caramel, coconut, or milk in it. All I get is vanilla and wood. It leans masculine, and is very linear. I was very disappointed, since reading the notes, I expected magic. A polite pass, and am giving the sample to my son.

Reminds me of the end of summer/first day of school as a kid. Vanilla ice cream with caramel plus pencils. Unfortunately I don't really think it's well blended enough, together it's all kind of awkward, though on their own the notes are nice and do not smell artificial. A small dab radiates pretty well.

This fragrance is so close to Xerjoff’s Bouquet Ideale. The opening of BI is deeper, but the dry down is really close. Vanextasy is slightly brighter than BI. I wasn’t impressed with performance of this fragrance, and I do own both. I would repurchase BI before Vanextasy.

smells like basic room spray, but not bad. this fragrance reminded me that i used to spray room spray on myself when i was younger 😅6/10. also smells like wet skin after a shower, not really food/dessert gourmand. would wear this maybe once a year

It's a nice scent but I am not wowed by it yet. The notes are blended nicely but just as its about to be sweet caramel, I get this dry powder vibe to it that throws me off but lets wait and see in winter if it becomes a love.

A masculine leaning vanilla. The opening offers lovely vanilla sandalwood, yet as the fragrance settles more of the woody balsam cedar notes come out. It is nice and I like it, though a bit unremarkable.

Nice powdery dry vanilla. On my skin has a dusty old cologne quality (think scherzo) I don’t know why. Overall nice but not special, very faint though.

Dry down is extremely similar to al rehab - Dalal.

Nose Note #209 Not nice. It's a not very inventive and not very pleasant vanilla scent. Vanilla can be used very differently, but here it's just lousy. It has a little bit of bitterness, a very tiny bit of soapiness because of this bitterness, maybe it's peru balsam. Caramel is also there and it makes the vanilla less boring. It's a decent work and smells natural, but not alluring, not inviting. Just not pleasant for me. Almost no sillage whatsoever. It does smell like a room spray. Like Tesori Byzantium

my first test - i really dislike this. I enjoy each of the notes listed, but together it does not appeal to me at all. i think it's the combination of the milk and the cedar and maybe a bit of pickly sandalwood. it smells like sour milk to me. although there are not too many notes in common it reminds me of mont blanc signature, which I hate.

Maybe it's because I transferred my sample to a mini spray bottle but the only thing I can smell is plastic. :( Maybe the faintest hint of caramel but caramel that still has some of it's plastic wrapper stuck to it. Don't like it.

The lactonic notes come across extremely sour and there's a harsh chemical edge when it's first sprayed.

Got this for $79.99 at a discount retailer online. It sold out within hours. It is way too woody to be considered a true Gourmand. And the Cedar makes it a masculine woody. Not the feminine gourmand that I usually enjoy. After the dry down it was headache inducing and nauseating. There is a cigarette smoke quality to the fragrance, it reminds me of a man or lady who smokes, and sprays themselves with cologne or perfume. Thank god the retailer takes returns in-store. Back this goes for a full refund!

This is a lactonic, marshmallowy vanilla that's ruined by a sour, acrid undertone that almost hurts my sinuses. Could have been a lovely Escapade Gourmand type frag, but is instead offensive to my nose.

To be honest, this is the first vanilla I ever hated, it literaly barely smells on my skin and just feels like a kind of a bit of a sour vanilla to my nose.

For me we are once again faced with a vanilla that is not worth it in my opinion in terms of quality-price ratio. It has a nice scent, of vanilla extract, creamy, caramelized, somewhat lactonic, with a very slightly woody background in the dry down. I really think it has a very nice scent, but, unfortunately, it barely projects on my skin, remaining very close to the skin after, perhaps, the second hour. In terms of duration, it does work quite well and can be felt for about 10-11 hours. It is true that I have tried Vanextasy based on a sample and on only one occasion, since I applied the entire vial. Perhaps the experience based on the complete bottle, being able to apply more generously, could be better but, honestly, this test has not left me wanting to invest in this perfume. I was expecting something more powerful and with more nuances. Scent 6.5/10 Duration 10/10 Sillage 5/10 Quality/price 4/10 Versatility 5/10 Packaging 8/10 Would I buy again? I did not buy it

Tried Sel_Vanille, Vanilla2, and Vanexstasy at the same time (plus Guerlain Angelique Noire, Guerlain Spiritualeuse Double Vanille, and Diptyque Eau Duelle). Looking for a great vanilla to buy a full size of. Vanexstasy is clearly the best at reproducing "straight vanilla extract " but with better sillage longevity, and a little more depth. It smells just woody enough to be a fragrance and not literal food whilr still smelling very very delicious. It is sweet but the sweet note doesnt come off as metallic or synthetic smelling. Very, very, very good vanilla perfume. A contender for FS bottle for me if I decide Guerlain's are just too expensive.

☁️🥂☁️ MBTI: rich ESTP woman☁️🥂☁️ They should've called it 'Sugar vodka', as the name is more fitting of the experience. Sits close to the skin, dissipates quick. Frankly I like it, a more feminine counterpart to Jazz Club by M&M. I don't get vanilla per se, just sugar. ☁️🥂☁️ Dries down to more dried out vodka/gin with a hint of metal, & a buttery, lotion-like scent. Absolutely terrible projection, and can only be smelled nose-to-skin no matter how much you pour on yourself. Really not a good thing to spend money on, I think.

This one is soooo good, it's only a first impression, so I might feel little bit differently later, but now it's similar to Orchidee Vanille by VC&A, but without the orange and chocolate notes, and creamier and sweeter!!! Yum! FB worthy! UPD: Not sure what was wrong with my nose upon initial testing (maybe because the scent just arrived, maybe because I was testing to many perfumes at once), but it's noting like Orchidee Vanille! It's more woody, but creamier vanilla!

Clean coconut sweetened with caramel and dark vanilla and light transparent wood. I love that the vanilla isn’t cake like and that the coconut isn’t screechy nor tropical. I also love that the sandalwood doesn’t ruin everything, there are so many sandalwood/milky scents that smell the same, this isn’t like those. This isn’t lactonic on me at all or hardly, if anything maybe more like coconut water than milk. It smells like a clean linear scent.

My first impression upon application was "Yep.. there's the peru balsam!" Not a problem as I've always like this resin. All in all this fragrance note combination is very benzoin-like. Sorta sweet, not entirely vanillic so much as vanilla adjacent to something caramel-ish. The sandalwood and cedar are hinted at. Honestly , it kinda smells like a cheap vanilla candle. Anyway, I'd probably consider this perfume unisex. ✨

Reviewing a sample in a calm September evening. Expected the extasy-themed notes, found none. A good vanilla, a little powdery, a little milky. Soft, polite, well executed for its (overcrowded) genre, with a quirky twist:. Depending to the distance I keep my arm from my nose I detect either Zara Rich Warm or a sweet plastic doll.
