Voyage Nocturne

I picked this up pretty randomly for a fraction of retail, not having heard of the house previously or experienced any of their other scents. Based on the notes I was expecting something super sweet and gourmand but this is a soft sweet floral scent and it is extremely light and delicate. To be honest the only notes I'm getting are caramel and pink pepper in the opening and rose and geranium in the dry down. I smell the faintest hint of other notes like cinnamon and sandalwood, but barely. On the plus side, there is something very fresh about this that I appreciate that compliments the warm vanilla notes. Overall it borders on smelling quite perfumy and generic, and eventually the floral is overwhelming and unpleasant at least to my nose. I could maybe see myself wearing this out of the shower on a summer or spring day. In the cool weather it will get lost and need constant reapplication. The closest thing I've smelled to it is Bouquet De La Reine by Floris. Different notes same vibe. Definitely feminine; I could not see a man wearing this, I think his natural scent would likely overpower this.

Beautiful fragrance but requires a heavy overspray if you want it to perfume more than a skin scent.
