Ambre Precieux Ultime

Utterly lovely, smooth amber with light touches of lavender on top and perfect amounts of incense and vanilla throughout. Longevity is excellent. I'm quite female and have no trouble at all wearing this, and I'm sure it would wear well on a man too. It's very similar to the original Ambre Precieux Eau de Toilette, but a little less sweet and to my nose a bit more perfect. I also find I need less of Ultime. Both are wonderful - for me this is the fb winner though.

The first time I tried this many times was in winter, around 4-10°C, and I HATED it. Going back to my decants now, around 20°C, it's making a statement with myrrh, lavender, amber and Peru balsam, and NOW I see what the fuss is about. It's supposed to be heavy with all these notes listed but it's not, it's basically sparkling.

This flanker has more oomph than the original due to a more noticeable lavender and the addition of incense. Well worth the price and is a must try, at the very least, for anyone who enjoys amber scents.

My bottle says it's an Eau de Parfum!

من الجيد تجربة اصدارات جديده ومحدوده لعطور نالت اعجابنا وهذا العطر رغم ان نسخته الاولى قبل 30 عاما الا انها بقيت صامده بكل معنى للعطر المكتمل وهنا مع النسخه الجديده والتي فقط تم فيها زيادة او تقليل نفس المكونات الا انها لم تصل لمستوى التركيبه الاساسيه برأيي التشابه كبير جدا لكن.. من جرب النسختين سيجزم ان النسخه القديمه لا يمكن تحديثها بالشكل العام الاصدار المحدود هذا يظل رائع لكني كما فعلت مع عطر اخر.. سأكتفي بالأصل فقد وجدت فيه كل ما يجب ان يكون في العطر تقييمي للنسخه القديمه 10/10 النسخه الحديثه 8.5/10

Opening: Middle eastern grandpa Drydown: Sweet incense

Ambre Precieux Ultime is quite a handsome amber. The early appearance of a nicely rounded lavender note compliments the resinous qualities in a way that is pleasing but not bombastic. The overall effect is that of an amber that is radiant but very dry and devoid of the cloying sweetness of so many other resinous scents on the market. This would be a nicely pared-down option for those for whom Ambre Sultan is too sweet and creamy. By about the 5th or 6th hour, the fragrance was in skin-scent territory with a subdued vanilla keeping the ghost of resins company. This would be a good choice for someone who loves the amber accord, but likes a very subtle scent. Wonderfully unisex, this, but the lavender tips Ambre Precieux Ultime just a click toward masculine polarity. That said, I'm very feminine, and would be delighted to wear this more frequently. More testing is needed to decide if this is full-bottle worthy for me, but I definitely recommend fans of elegant amber give this one a sniff.

The original is much better than this... To be fair, I'm not a big lavender guy and I barely notice it in the OG but in this version it sticks out in a weird way... Also, the longevity is definitely not as good as the OG...

clarification this is an eau de parfum and it's one of the absolute best new releases I've tried in a long time.amber, vanilla, hints of lavendar, resins, incense and nutmeg wow! get your nose on this. now.

i think i prefer the non limited one. this one goes a bit stronger on the licorice vibe (from the lavender i think im not sure) my colleague said it smells like a car freshener lmfao

I am a bit disappointed as this is only an EdT. Would have loved this as an EdP version but I am sure it still smells wonderful (at least the original Ambre Precieux does).

This is more darker, dryer, more masculine then the original. I smell more lavender and incense as well. Prefer the original.

I really like the original Ambre Precieux, so I'm very exited about this. Would love to try this!

Sweet and amber. Little bit milky. Not as boring as all amber perfumes I tried.
