Fraiche Passiflore

Notable: - smells natural and not overly sweet - refreshing and clean - A vintage formula that smells better than most fruity fragrances today FRAICHE PASSIFLORE is a ménage of juicy fruits (peach, raspberries and passionfruit) with a heavy dose of clean musk. There’s also light spicy floral touches from the tagetes and jasmine. The sandalwood seems to support the notes but doesn’t stand out at all. There’s a hint of dry chilli pepper in the background. But overall it’s really just a clean musky fruit salad done in a refined sophisticated way. It’s perfect for fruit lovers who also want to feel clean and fresh. The peach and raspberry blend into the passionfruit and at first reminded me of the blackberry and champagne accord used in Atelier Des Ors Pink Me Up. However they go in very different directions. This one is much less sweet and without the rose, and smells more natural and of passionfruit as opposed to blackberries! The fruits are juicy and tart but not overly, and it’s sweet but not overly sweet either. It’s such a gorgeous, clean fruity fragrance. With a hint of dry effervescence. Also I am so impressed that this formula is from 1988 but does not in any way smell dated or vintage, it’s still very relevant today! If you love Parfums De Marly Meliora and the aforementioned Pink Me Up I think you’ll love this if you enjoy these fruit notes. They play in a similar manner; fruity, musky, a lil sharp at first almost in a “hairspray” kinda way. But this is way more naturalistic and less sweet. Fraiche Passiflore is in my opinion highly underrated and one to try if you like my description. I can’t understand how it’s rated under 4 points here! Perfect for Spring/Summer heat but also performs well in the cold (I’m wearing it right now in Winter in Sydney and it still projects through the cold). Gorgeous! This is such an underrated treasure. Passiflore is way too happy to have unfairly received so many frowny faces. I've smelled a lot of bad peaches - including ones at a much higher price point - and this one is certainly one of the best out there. Highly realistic white peach blended elegantly with soft white musk and a hint of sandalwood on the dry down. Peaches, musk and sandalwood are a divine combination reminiscent of the pillowy peaches and cream you can only get in the height of a Georgia summer. The passion fruit and hint of cayenne keep it from turning syrupy sweet. The raspberry note is very prominent at the start, and then dies down as the peach and passion fruit take over. Surprisingly good longevity for a fruity freshie. Very inoffensive and easily likeable, this one could easily be worn to the gym, office and date night after. Has that special power to transport you to a summer day with fruit salad in a crisp white shirt on the front porch with good friends. Don't be fooled by the bad rating. This is an elegant, vintage beauty that remains modern and youthful, happy and fresh.

I love this scent, and reading the reviews makes me wonder if I'm really smelling the same thing as everyone who hates it. My personal chemistry seems to have a way of turning fabulous perfumes into sewage, so maybe it works both ways. I generally hate fruity florals, since they are so often disgustingly sweet, cloying messes. I tried this one many years ago, and loved it. I'm trying it again now and love it all over again. On me, this starts out peachy/musky but not too sweet (nothing at all like Escada or VS candied scents). It is potent, yet light, with a clean aura that balances the fruity notes. I can see the resemblance to a shampoo, which is exactly the kind of scent I like, although this is a little muskier. The fruitiness is tangy and fresh with no syrup or vanilla, and the musk and sandalwood give it a clean effervescence, so that on me, anyway, it is fresh and pretty. It is unique.

Of all the Maitre i smelled today, in a hhhhhhot, 40 degrees Athens, this and Eau de Mure stood out the most!! ( Although i found Soie Rouge and Or des Inde also beautiful, they didn't develop well in this heat..) Well, this is mouthwatering, and i do not understand why people compare it to cheap celebrity perfumes!! It is juicy, yes, but it is spectacular, makes me feel like i just stepped out of an invigorating shower with loooooots of different fruits and berries.It quenched my thirst and made me feel rejuvenated!!! PS: It stayed more than 12 hours unaltered on my skin....

While this is fruity and sweet, it's not too sweet. It's fruity in an appropriately sweet way as well as in a tart way thanks to the passionfruit, somewhat effervescent. I don't pick up on the jasmine and I don't know what passionflower itself smells like, but this does not read floral to me at all. It's peach, then passionfruit, then raspberry, with little other in the way of discernible notes to me. I was surprised to see the paprika note here; I don't think I consciously picked up on it, but there is something a little buzzy underneath the fruit that I assume is the paprika. It could be my imagination, though, my brain creating it because I know it's supposed to be there. The musk and sandalwood are very understated. They give the fragrance a little more heft, though I think I would have preferred a different, darker base note to round this out. It's a little body splashy to me; it doesn't seem quite worth the $185 price tag, though it's by no means a break-the-bank niche scent. I wouldn't smell this and immediately think of luxury perfumery. I don't think it's complex or refined enough for that. There is something about the dry down that's a little... chemical? Artificial? Cheap? Not the fruit, though, that feels decently realistic. I think it's the musk/sandalwood giving this effect. That being said, it's nice, if short-lived. For something this light and splashy it has better staying power than I would have expected, but this isn't something that will be with you at the end of the day. But it's a bright, happy, fruity scent that I think is likely a crowd-pleaser. 6/10.

I LOATHE mass-market fake-fruit scents, but found this one more than wearable - even enjoyable. The passionfruitiness is pretty natural-seeming and I thought I even got a note of greenish foliage to set it off nicely - maybe that's the passion-flower note. It is sweet, but in a fresh rather than sickly or cloying way. I didn't detect any peach at all (just as well - I hate peach!), just lots of passionfruit, raspberry and a little rose. Projection not huge, longevity not bad... maybe 6-7h? As a very ungirly girl, this wouldn't be my first choice and I'd not buy a FB, BUT it is much more than just tolerable... which is testament to how MPG are classy enough to build recognisably good perfumes even in the sort of area I avoid. This is certainly feminine - a pink sort of scent - but not synthetic Barbie-pink feminine- more like a natural blushy pink. If I lived somewhere with a springlike climate and owned more sundresses, I might well wear it more often. For now, I'll just use up the sample and be content.

"Fraiche Passiflore" is a delightful bowl of fruit. It opens a bit like a fruit shampoo, but the heart part is rather delightful and natural smelling. The most prominent fruit for me is peach, there is also a huge amount of passionfruit. The longevity was mediocre - around 5 hours, but it projected very heavily all the way. I wouldn't consider this a grown up fruity perfume as it's very sweet and rather similar to designer fruity fragrances, but it's worth a try if you MUST have a fruity NICHE. As for myself, I wouldn't pay more than 30$ for a fragrance like this.

This is a happy and sparkling fragrance. Lots of Passionfruit that is both sweet and strict. A lovely scent to put layer on layer with a darker scent - maybe with lots of woodsy notes or spicy notes. Perfect for spring/summertime. I have an older batch and its in perfect condition - good quality.

This smells really natural and green. I think it's a super simple summer scent, great for day time. It's clean and fresh, I think great for running errands or the beach or something like that.

Nice and juicy opening, kind of wow. Gone in 30 mins. Drydown is very quiet close to skin. that goes in another hour too.

I wondered if I got a bottle filled wrong! I don't know what everyone is talking about. This is citrus citrus and citrus. I sprayed it and just got a burst of lemon. An hour later, I can barely smell it on my skin. It's citrus/lemon with a little bit of sweet fruit and maybe some cheap musk. As the lemon dies down, a bitter/herbal note rises. Ugh. Not worth the price for sure.

A sharp aldehydic fragrance featuring notes of pear, banana and pineapple. I had high hopes but unfortunately on me it does little more than smell like fruit salad. Perhaps would be good layered with another scent. Good silage, not so long lived.

The scent profile sounds fantastic. I love summery peachy scents but for this I get vinegar with a hint of cat pee. I'm at work trying unsuccessfully to scrub it off in the bathroom. Hoping the longevity doesn't haunt me all day.

I ordered a sampler set of MPG fragrances and of course this was the one that leaked so that the package arrived reeking of foul air freshener like a Manila taxicab. I don't like this type of fragrance and probably wouldn't have bothered smelling it if it hadn't been forced upon me while I tried to clean it off it's innocent brethren, but this is pretty terrible even by the standards of fruity florals. Those referencing "shampoo" and "air freshener" are spot on. Just no. Edit: Ugh! It won't come off! I must have got some on my hands while I cleaned the other vials. Laundry musk and passionfruit, ie toilet freshener from hell.

Although I don't like fruity flower fragrance,in this one, The smell of a good summer peach,is opening, fresh, while the passion flower give longevity and evocative feelings. Good for the three season, Springtime, Summer and Autumn, while in Winter it can warming you, remembering some cheerful, savory, yellow summer days. Il profumo di una buona pesca estiva, rende questa fragranza fresca,mentre la passiflora la rende persistente evocativa. FRUIT BOWL I cannot recall why I had this on my 'to sample' list. Perhaps it was from an article I read online, or a free sample sent to me when purchasing other samples. Regardless, I did not look at the name on the sample when I dabbed a bit on both wrists. My first thought was 'oh, very fruity. And sweet. And feminine." My second thought was "oh, very fruity. And sweet. And feminine." So was my 3rd, 4th and 5th thought. Get the picture? Or 'scent'? Need I say more?

Peach skin & watergrass... I get allot of peach skin, some passionfruit, bubble notes (raspberry, sandalwood, & clean musk, & some jasmine cedar. Fruitti, soapy, water grass, and fresh air blend. Cute. Edit (17 June 2025) the cool down is airy with hints of fruit, aldehyde, strawberries, and floral, The dry down is amazingly calming.

This reminds me of Petite Cherie Annick Goutal. Before I looked at the ingredient list, I thought the main note here was a pear. But examining closer - passion fruit and peach. This is lovely fruit mix fragrance, but a bit too synthetic for me and it does smell like shampoo. Still, fruit lovers should check this one out.

This is a happy scent. Juicy peach, berries and passion fruit, with just the right amount of sweetness. These notes feel very natural to me. I don't perceive the paprika at all. The drydown is very nice, the jasmine is there and a woody drydown that is subtle but persistent. I like it very much.
