Gold Noir

My first endeavor into a truly winter-esque scent. I blind bought this based on reviews and my love for vanilla scents. At the start I have to say I was disappointed, the vanilla seemed to be way overshadowed by the heavy amber. However after 15-30 minutes, it beautifully matures into a lovely amber-woody-vanilla that is a compliment getter in the cold winters. Would highly recommend to any vanilla fans. Seeing the cinnamon, tonka bean, and vanilla, I expected this fragrance to be a lot thicker, creamier, and sweeter than how it really is. I think I'm disappointed, but it still smells unique though. I don't see the similarities between Gold Noir and Dior Homme Intense too.

Very strong at the start... Then a skin scent within the hour (as GloriaFlo mentioned). I do really like it. Just no performance. This is a multiple spray throughout the day scent. This is a strong like for now.

Smells similar to Armani Prive ambre eccentrico, you really can’t go wrong for the price and the bottle is also refillable. Strong ambery honey sweet fragrance . Smells expensive. 👌👌

An unknown brand, so if you wear this you will smell different! As it’s not big and a great and unique scent! I get a lot of cinnamon and heliotrope. I got it for a steal at 50$!

I picked up a bottle of this In Cairo. I really like it. Reminds me a bit of dolce and Gabbana, velvet amber sun. Longevity seems pretty great, sillage is medium.

Mix of Sospiro Muse ( minus sweetness) and Kenzo Jungle L'Elephant ( minus spicy spices) plus more leather notes. In the base actually nice L'Elephant. Can be unisex, not sweet at all. That's all for now.

Blind bought this based on high ratings online. I get a muted Big Red Cinnamon scent that's dusty and somewhat thick.....think of soft sand or powdery makeup type texture where the cinnamon doesn't tickle your senses. For another reference, Imagine licking off the outside of an Atomic Fireball candy and you're left with the pink candy part that's not too sweet with just a touch of cinnamon left. It's as if the plum mutes the cinnamon itself. To be honest, I'm not sure I'd use this alone. It's best use would be to layer it with Spicebomb infrared. That's where this would excel giving the Infrared and Gold Noir a lot of depth and scent range to create a dynamic combo. Quality is decent but nothing special. Paid around 38 for it as I was curious to try this house. It's not worth more than that. At least it's different, and I have nothing like it in a collection of 150 fragrances. 6.5/10 overall Women will like this more than men the majority of the time. 1/19 - After several wearings this is Cherry flavored lip balm (that muted cherry). Rating has increased to 7.5

Nice balanced warm sweet scent, the vanilla is not overpowering, and it projects well and lasts long too. Nothing special tho, the dry-down smells kind of generic and cheap. Suitable for women, definitely not unisex.

Derivative release - smells like Xerjoff Italica, it has the same vanilla amber tones with that signature, hard for me to describe, sweet almondy note.

In theory, I should really like this fragrance based on the notes, but all I can smell is acetone. I feel exactly the same with Kenzo Jungle. These two scents must have some common denominator that makes them completely off-putting to me.

Poorly blended cheap ingredients trying to imitate more expensive offerings. This pretty much sums up the entire brand, as I’ve sampled almost all of them.

The first time I tried it I somewhat regretted my purchase because it seemed too redundant with Kenzo's Jungle Elephant. With use I have noticed that it has less spice, more vanilla and an almondy background. It is also lighter than the Kenzo, a kind of version of it suitable in a wider range of temperatures, with Jungle for me being used exclusively on cold winter days. In my opinion some of these pseudo-niche houses with affordable prices seem a bit like undercovered dupes brands to me, forgive me if I offend anyone. Their bottles are wonderful but their compositions often lack originality and are nothing more than interpretations of other successful perfumes. Now, is Gold Noir judged by itself a bad fragrance? Not at all, I think it is very pretty and has good performance. It has a good sillage and lasts about 12 hours on my skin. In short, it is a perfume that I really like but, taking into account that with a discount it cost me about 59 euros for 75 ml, my advice is that it is better to opt for the 100 ml size of Jungle L'Elephant, which is around 60 euros on many websites and it is much more impressive, unless it might be too strong for you. This started out so nice with honeyed amber, dustiness from the sandalwood, powderiness from the heliotrope, dark sweetness from the plum, it was so sensual and witchy until that damn middle eastern leather note came in and buried everything else. It shifted to smell like new car seats cooked in the sun with a car tree airfreshner smell and gave me a migraine. What a shame.
