Amberful

I bought a 10ml decant of Mancera Amberful and have been testing it for about a month. For the last three days, I wore it as my main scent to get a better idea of it. At first, I was very neutral toward it. It didn’t shock me or interest me much, but after wearing it properly and seeing how people reacted around me, I started appreciating it more. This is a hard fragrance to fully deconstruct because the notes blend into one very specific scent profile. In the opening, the bitter yuzu, citrus, pepper, and fruity brightness hit strongly. It starts sharp, bitter, peppery, and fresh. As it dries down, the fruitiness loses some of its edge, and it turns into this woody, slightly static, almost electric-feeling base while still keeping a trace of the opening. I haven’t tried Ganymede, so I can’t compare it to that, but I have tried Greenley, and maybe there is a slight similarity in the fresh woody direction. Still, after trying many fragrances, I have to admit this smells quite unique to me. Overall, the citrus is done well, the woods are done well, and the transition from opening to drydown is smooth. It smells high quality and keeps the same general character throughout. Performance is insane. At first, I thought it was weak, but I realized it’s very easy to go nose-blind to. In real-world wear, I received several comments about how strong it was. Projection, sillage, and longevity are all top tier. All in all, Amberful is a unique, high-performing fragrance, and for the price, I think it’s a great scent. 8.3/10

I just got a decant so I don't know about longevity yet, but based on first impressions: I'm in love. I love ganymede, but it is pricey and can be situational. I like greenly, but the dry down tends to give me a semi headache. Maje305 hit it right on the nose, it's a fraiche Ganymede with greenly touches, like it combines both and makes it work. I don't get the apple note though instead I get a citrus (almost like a bright mandarin). IMO this is the best offering from mancera in the past two years, better than amore, black noire, eternal wood and cosmic pepper. Very versatile, I can see myself wearing this casual daytime, night out with friends and all seasons except winter. Now I have decants of Ganymede and greenly, and I tested them along side amberful and amberful doesn't directly smell like either one, but there is definite likeness of both in this fragrance. If you like either, you will probably like this as well. 45% Gany 35% Greenly 10% cedrat boise 10% added touches = Amberful This is NOT a clone of either of those fragrances, test them side by side and you will notice distinct differences. Edit: Longevity and sillage are really good, one spray sticks around in the air and covers a good distance and longevity is around 8 hours +

I’ve used my sample of this everyday this week and it’s grown on me tremendously. When I first tried it I liked it but it didn’t wow me since I’ve sampled Ganymede and previously owned Bois Imperial. But the more I wore it the more I loved it because of what it does with the DNA. This to me is Ganymede without the mineral leather and Bois Imperial without the Akigalawood. I like both of these fragrances but those nuances were too much for me to enjoy them fully even though it’s what made them unique too. The mineral leather in Ganymede was too much at times and with Bois Imperial the dry down was heavy with Akigalawood which I then found out my nose is sensitive too since Blue Talisman has a lot of and they give me a similar woody sour potent scent. Amberful however removes all those facets and to me smoothens out the scent profile. I see why people would call this Ganymede Fraiche or EQ Fragrances saying others compared this if Ganymede sport existed. It’s unique and addictive and really easy to wear. Full bottle on the way as we speak

Just received a decant of this, and I must say that I am pleasantly surprised (actually, not really, as I have been reading comments and reviews here before I decided to sample it). It is, as many have already determined here, essentially a mix of Greenley and Ganymede. But, a very good one. It almost succeeds at blending the two DNA's together rather seamlessly. You'll find them in the air around you, though. I would say, that If you don't own Ganymede, but like that fragrance, or if you like Greenley, you'll like this offering from Mancera. Since I have Ganymede, and Aether (Greenley clone), I don't think it is necessary for me to add this to my collection. But it is very nicely done. Edit to add: Performance is really good. Edit: Still might add a bottle. This performs and smells great. Edit: Added a bottle.

I've tried several Mancera's and wasn't the biggest fan. This one is very nice though. I totally get PDM Greenley vibes but less in-your-face on the shampoo aspect. I also get the metallic Ganymede nuances in the open and mid but they settle down toward the dry down. Light and airy but it carries a nice sillage. I got compliments several hours after spraying as well. I've sold off my Mancera and Montale scents. I also have a few 10ml decants collecting dust. I think I finally found one that's a keeper. I wore a lot of Ganymede lately. For those wondering, this is 85% Greenley and 15% Ganymede, to my nose. Edit: Nonstop compliments from this one. I'm surprised, but not really. Fresh metallic, simple to understand, and great sillage. If you’re in it to get noticed, this is a sure-fire way to do it.

As someone who owns both Amberful and Bois Imperial this does NOT smells like Bois Imperial. At all. Bois is a lot more airy, woodier, and greener, more herbal; as if you're walking into an expensive spa and someone is smashing basil and other herbs to create a calming atmosphere. Amberful is, initially, a beautiful and unique citrus/yuzu bomb with a bit of metallic smell and texture, and the citrus does not die off, even when the mossy note and Mancera's unique take on amber began to emegere in the dry down. Yes, both have metallic undertone but that's it, though imo I kind of struggle to detect the metallic on Bois. I honestly prefer Amberful a lot more for a simple reason that I can actually smell the perfume after I sprayed it on my skin, while Bois just dissapear in like, one hour.

Parfums de Mancera comes through again with a beautiful flanker to Greenly. All jokes aside, Amberful is a gorgeous, wonderfully crafted fragrance. However, as others have averred, it is not very original. The opening reminds me so much of PDM’s Greenly that I passed on buying a full bottle of that one. I also agree with others that in the mid, it brings to mind Ganymede/Bois Imperial. Amberful seems to be a great hybrid of the aforementioned fragrances, and I don’t mind that at all. It is an extremely appealing, long lasting perfume. I have worn it several times, and it holds to the Mancera tradition of having good sillage and outstanding longevity. I am very glad that I picked up a bottle of this one.

Wow, this is absolute fire🔥 Mancera is fast becoming by favourite brand. I originally purchased Aoud Lemon Mint by Mancera, absolutely hated it, it took months but grew on me big time. I was intrigued.... I purchased a sample set from Mancera of which Amberful was one of the samples.....it blew me away from smell. The opening is like nothing ive smelt before, the citrus, the warmth, the woods.....its insane! Thw dry down produces more warmth and depth with amber, woods and a slight metalic touch that i am here for! The performance is solid 8/10 hours on skin and longer on clothes. Needless to say i purchased the 120ml right away and rock this regularly. My top 5 frangrences of all time....love it

A really pleasant smelling perfume for spring & summer. The opening (at least for me) is dominated by the pink pepper & yuzu. After about an hour to two hours of wearing it, when the drydown starts, is when I start noticing the middle notes of amber (a bit not much), violet, patchouli, along with some lingering yuzu. The transition from middle to base is really gradual & subtle. The scent lasts for a good 10-11 hours on my skin. On the whole, it is very similar to Essential Parfums' Bois Imperial, which I currently own as well. The difference being that Bois Imperial's scent profile is spicier & airy which makes it somewhat suitable for fall & early winter as well.

Been doin a wear test for the last 2 days and gotta say I LOVE IT and purchased a full bottle. Right off the bat, the citrus hits strong on my skin, but there’s a bit of sweetness mixed in that I can’t quite place. It keeps things from being too sharp, which I really like. To me the dry down is where it's at. That’s where the soft, warm amber takes over, with just a hint of citrus still peeking through. It’s smooth, cozy, and honestly pretty addictive. Longevity and sillage is amazing!! It stuck to my clothes overnight, and I kept catching little whiffs of it throughout the day, which made me love it even more.

I just realized this reminds me of bois imperale but with more notes and citrus. Like BI, but it's more finished. BI was very one-dimensional. This bangs and puts a mass appeal twist on the Ganymede DNA. Also, since Ganymede/BI are mostly aroma chemicals but are used to covey the scent of Vetiver, Vetiver-based scents layer great over amberful. I’ve layered basso over amberful and it’s damn good. I am also trying BTV Vetiver Imperiale over Amberful; it’s good as well. Amberful is a great scent on its own or layered and is worth the $100 it's discounted to.

Wow, this is fantastic, very familiar altough I haven't smelled Ganymede or Greenley. Actually to my nose the closest thing is actually MB Explorer, atleast the opening, later on it becomes mossy and mineralic in a way that Explorer isn't. Very rugged, masculine, but clean and sophisticated not a dirty scent. Can't say anything about longevity yet since I just sprayed it on (Ordered a sample kit from Mancera), but it's radiating strong off my skin and it seems like it would easily be an 8+ hours fragrance.

The best in Mancera’s line imo. This is a freshie but yet isn’t basic because of its base and heart note. I would say this office safe but can get a bit intrusive because of its strong projection. On top of that Mancera has the best atomiser among all fragrances I’ve tried. You can do a full press and a half press to control your usage. By the way, I have tried Greenley and Ganymede and I see the overlaps in that “spongey metallic” note but to be honest they are all unique in their own ways.

When I first sprayed this , I cannot say I was a fan. But I know better than just judge like that. So I have it time and boy was I right. It has a very clean and refreshing profile , but I helieve it is an every day and every season fragrance. Just reach for it and spray kind of thing, no way can anyone offend anybody with this. This means you can over or under dress this , wear at the office or at a date. Very good stuff by mancera. 8.5 out of 10 easy.

Fresher more mass appealing Ganymede with citrus That simple...very airy too Last long but no crazy projection which for me was a little disappointing but it will project if you get some heat on it Performance is gonna be 8 hours after it’s becomes a skin scent at least for me (Tested during the winter so don’t take my word for it) For now I think it’s overpriced...cheapest I found is $115 let me know where I can find it cheaper plz

Don’t let the name fool you, this is not a heavy amber fragrance. Amberful is clean, fresh and masculine with a warm, luxurious woody base that makes it genuinely high quality. The yuzu and bergamot opening is bright and impressive, transitioning smoothly into a smooth amberwood drydown that turns heads. A real compliment getter. For the price, Mancera punches well above its weight. Highly recommended for spring and summer.

This is currently my favorite. I think I got it at a discounter for $75. It does have that Greenley dry down but it's a little less pungent. Sort of in-between Sauvage Elixir-With that comparison it really has nothing else in common with it. This is a fall and winter and Greenley is the opposite spectrum. Longevity is at least 10 hours. I could spray a jacket and smell it days later. 8/ 10

I really like this one as someone whose signature is Bois Imperial. I actually prefer this to bois imperial due to its higher versatility and depth which is lacking IMO in bois imperial. I did not try Ganymede, so no comment on that. All in all, it's an easy-to-wear, all-year-around type of scent that lasts and projects like a beast. Great value for money. Would definitely recommend it.

Just a beautiful creation, it became my favourite Mancera. Ambergris, green apple, spices and bright citruses. It's airy, effervescent but heavy at the same time when it comes to projection and how it sits on the skin. Unlike the majority of Mancera fragrances, it's never cloying and could be worn for any occasion. Definitely will be spraying this a lot in the coming warmer months.

First Mancera scent. Pressurized Atomizer is really nice. Got used for good deal. I will say this is pleasant, citrus, violet, pink pepper, patchouli with a woody amber base. Pretty Linear in my opinion which isn’t a bad thing. I actually like it. Reminds me a bit of Aventus mixed with Tyger clone I have. Can be worn Day or Night really. It’s a sexy alluring scent.

I have been using this for a few months now and i love it. If it's attention your after then this for sure will get you it. I own some big banger niche fragrances and by far this is my most complemented. I use 6 sprays it's very light to my nose and i don't notice it so much but my god others do it projects like a beast and most definitely pulls in complements .

done the ganymede dna much better by making it less mineral/metalic, adding citruses and that hint of green apple accord from greenly and a touch of oakmoss in the base gives it that little smokiness that i love in here even tho i dont usually enjoy oakmoss. overall a solid all year rounder thats worth being a signature scent.

I have this perfume. It is absolutely wonderful! Lasts long. Has a good sillage and projectivity. I liked the notes that I smell. Masculine and attractive. Interestingly, I find it similar to the Creed Aventus / Cedrat Boise DNA without the harsh lemon opening / spice. So it is like perfectly what I wanted.

Smells very good, but it’s not very unique due to the fact that it is very similar to Greenly from PDM. It’s kind of weird that Mancera realeased 2 new fragrances almost at the same time, and both seem to be an inspiration of Parfums de Marly (Eternal Wood similar to Haltane and Amberful to Greenly).

I was just randomly testing perfumes at Harrods earlier on and chanced upon Mancera Amberful. I really wasn't expecting what I had smelled. It's really good and I can't stop sniffing my wrist. So when I went back to Paris, I got myself a bottle of this together with a couple few at Mancera shop. :)

I’m really impressed with this release from Mancera. The opening blends the bright citruses of Cedrat Boise with hints of PDM Greenly, eventually transitioning into a softer, Ganymede-like fragrance. It’s incredibly fresh, with a perfect balance of fruity and woody notes. Very well done!

Extremely underrated fragrance. A woody/citrus chypre you can wear in the blistering heat that will last 10-12 hours every time and project across the room. If you want people to notice your smell in the summer and don't want the typical boring blue fragrance definitely buy this!

Mancera is slowly becoming my fav fragrance brand and Amberful is another amazing addition to their name. Don’t get fooled by the rating this could be a top 5 Mancera. It’s very fresh and a little bit fruity with a nice woody dry down

Mancera nailed it with this fragrance. It's just sooooo good. If you like amberish type of fragrance it's impossible not to like this one. It has a good balance between fresh, amber and wood, being light on the wood side.

This is my twelfth bottle from the house of Mancera. It’s an appealing take on Ganymede, with lush green florals🍈🫒🍀& a vibrant layer of fizzy citrus🍋🍾. A signature-worthy scent—definitely a 10/10 IMO...

To me it smells like smw and dries down to a more slightly metallic greenley and I love it. It gets compared to ganymede ans greenley. I love all three fragrances so its a win for me.

Beautiful surprise from a small 2ml sample. smells kinda in between Ganymede & Elysium intense. in the dry down it starts so smell a bit greenly. I need a full bottle.

This smells exactly like Montale Intense Pepper. I love it, too bad i got a bad allergic reaction to the Montale one and now I won’t dare to wear this.

I layer this one with YSL EDP, it’s fantastic! To my nose they share the same green apple/bergamot combination and complement each other perfectly.

C'est un banger!! Pas de similitude avec Ganymède et Bois Impérial. Il a son propre ADN, un beau parfum de tous les jours. 10/10

longevity is strong with this one. drydown gives pebbles on the shore of a salty ocean.

I slept on Amberful and that was a serious mistake. The name gave me the wrong impression of what it would smell like so I paid it no attention. I even chose a sample direct from Mancera as just something to complete an order. The opening is fucking phenomenal! I honestly couldn't believe it. I was waiting to see if the all the glory would fade into something less desirable as can happen with top notes but it held on really well. This isn't Ganymede or Bois Imperial. Amberful is it's own thing perhaps inspired by Ganymede or Bois Imperial. I gave it an hour of wear before going to bed. This morning I see that deep in the dry down I'm getting vibes of old school masculine scents like Eau Sauvage, Aramis, and Lagerfeld. Amberful is some spicy sauce. I don't think I'd wear it in summer heat. Edit: 11/23/25 - wore it a few more times, it gets a bit much. FragranceAnon's review said it was a total scrubber and I originally thought that was totally out of line but I'm starting to see his point. It can become cloying.

Sampling Mancera Amberful, a late 2024 release and very pleasant, bright citrus/woody/amber blend, not really amber-heavy or especially resinous or balsamic in the usual way, but more of a blended freshie type of amber conception (like Tom Ford Rive d’Ambre). It seems to be commonly compared to Marc-Antoine Barrois Ganymede, which I definitely understand and somewhat agree with. I find it to be a very likable mix of citruses, spices (pepper, nutmeg), amber, cedar, and patchouli, and it’s fittingly a good mix of light and dark, fresh and deep. I don’t find it to be quite as good as Ganymede while still being very pleasant and presumably it’ll be at discounters at some point. As with much of the house’s current offerings, US points-of-sale include both department stores and boutiques like Olfactif, from which I bought my sample, and the retail pricing is $180 for 120ml. I’d certainly recommend checking out Olfactif and their offerings as they’re a great boutique. 7 out of 10

Now I have tried Bois Imperial, Ganymede, Greenley and Aether, and lastly and finally today - Amberful. This is such an easy genre to wear! Amberful definitely is on the fruitier side, together with Greenley and Aether, while Bois Imperial and Ganymede are woodier and a bit more complex. For me, the yuzu in Amberful is just a tad too dialed up, but it would probably be very pleasant in summer time. Either way, I am enjoying all of them to some extent, and now I am having a hard time deciding which one I should get a full bottle of.... :D But I think it's leaning towards Ganymede.....

As someone who uses both ganymede and bois imperial, I really liked it. yes I get similar vibes but this is definitely going its own way it is very nice in fact I will sell bois imperial and definitely buy amberful instead it is more woody and citrusy which makes it more useful. Its performance is amazing, it stays on the skin for 10+ hours and spreads well. Maybe the only negative thing that can be said is that it gets sharper as it dries. I think it gets sexier, but it may tire some people's noses.

This is a genuinely beautiful and smooth fragrance. As someone who loves Ganymede and its DNA, I really enjoyed this one, even though it doesn’t smell that similar to Ganymede or Bois Imperial. I only have two issues with it. First, there’s something in the citrus opening that puts me off, although I can’t quite figure out what it is. Second, it leaves oil mark, which is pretty annoying. As for performance, it’s actually pretty good especially for to be worn in the summer. Overall, I like it.
