Aoud Blue Notes

My first official Signature scent!! This juice is amazing..Truly personifies who I am..Powdery clean (ylang ylang violet), extreme depth (amber patchouli), with a mysterious edge (leather oud)!! I actually threw out some of my older lesser utilized fragrances after smelling this..I've decided I dont want anything in my arsenal that's not on this level..That's how amazing this stuff is..Performance is off the charts and although prior reviewers have stated sillage or projection is moderate I couldn't disagree more!! I was actually coming out of an elevator & walked to my car, about 10 minutes later a guy walks up to my window and motioned me to lower it,I was a bit startled because this is NYC at like 4:00 in the a.m..I responded a little aggressive because I didnt know his intentions and he said with no shame I just had to find out what the hell is the name of that fragrance you're wearing..lol I cracked up told him the full name as he input into his phone..I would say sillage is monstrous..Love this scent , it is my signature it's now my theme smell..10 out of 10 in all categories and best in cooler weather..Mancera is changing the game frag lovers get on board theres numerous offerings to choose from.

When I first smelled this, the word “BLUE” immediately popped into my head. Obviously, the fragrance has Blue in the name, which almost plants the idea in your mind right from the opening blast. It’s a bit like when someone says, “don’t think of a pink elephant” you can’t help but picture it. There’s definitely oud here, not natural oud, but a convincing synthetic that gets the job done. It’s paired with a sweet, almost bubble-gum vibe that likely comes from the fruity-floral notes in the composition. Performance and projection are moderate; it’s certainly not beast mode like its cousin Aoud Lemon Mint. Overall, this is a pleasant fragrance, provided you enjoy oud. If you’re already familiar with the Montale/Mancera oud DNA, you won’t find any surprises. My wife and daughter both gave it a thumbs-up, and my wife even mentioned a few times how much she liked it. I’d rate this 7/10. It’s blind-buy safe, but personally I’d go for Aoud Lemon Mint, which feels more unique and performs better.

Just received today. I find this really unique. It has a high concentration because my skin is glossy for 20 minutes after I spray it. It starts off with a beast mode projection blast of fruits and citrus along with ylang ylang. Sadly the fragrance dies down within an hour to a 3 inch projection. I bought this because I thought it would be strong and long lasting. I wanted to like it so much because the fragrance itself is amazing. This is the niche equivalent to dior sauvage, better blended, and somewhat generic with a twist of ylang uniqueness. I am just disappointed because I love the bottle and the fragrance, but it just doesn't last. If people don't smell me, then in my book I've wasted money. Great addition to your collection as liquid art though. If this lasted and projected like cedrat boise, then I would hype this to the max. 5 stars for uniqueness and overall scent 2 stars for projection 3 stars for longevity

Powdery and slightly fruity sweet and fresh, there's like almost a Dr.Pepper quality to this smell and I'm not sure where this is coming from. But very gentle and loving, one of the better ones so far from Mancera. I will compare it to its sibling Lemon Mint. Blue notes is decidedly sweeter, less creamy and more juicy for lack of a better term, there's definitely a similar quality to them but they are not redundant. I'm not getting a very distinct orris presence, not like a super powdery orris like in Givenchy Gentlemen, but it could be some of the powdery qualities I'm experiencing. Longevity is very good as usual with Mancera, lasted all through a gym session A+, projection is more muted compared to Lemon Mint. Fruity sweet and clean, all year round, leaning a bit more feminine than Lemon Mint but still unisex enough to wear it with confidence. It's the more mysterious cousin to Aoud Lemon Mint. A+

One of the major ways that perfume can be interpreted as art is the complexity of the feelings and images it can convey to you. Indeed, many perfumers are given a brief to follow when designing a perfume which usually involves creative visions or stories rather than a scientific breakdown of notes. I didn’t fully appreciate what it meant for a fragrance to be blue but this one has taught me well. It transports me onto a Mediterranean summer holiday. There’s a saltiness which represents the sea breeze and a fruitiness representing the bottomless fruit cocktails on tap. The powerful woody backbone is the wooden deck chair baking in the heat of the sun’s rays. The imagery I get with this is very vivid. There’s as real niche playfulness about this perfume, one of the best Mancera has to offer. I don’t hear much talk about this one, which makes it extremely underrated. 10/10
