Aoud Café

I have owned a bottle of Aoud Cafe the past few years and, although I haven't been wearing it this past year (I have a lot of fragrance), I wore Aoud Cafe today and it reminded me of how much I love it; very nice and unique take on a coffee fragrance. In a nutshell, take the coffee note from A*Men Pure Coffee, blend it with the sweet notes from Mancera Aoud Black Candy minus that loud licorice note, and add some extremely smooth woods, spices and musk...and there you go! Another comparison in the making of Aoud Cafe would be taking an empty coffee cup and filling it half-way with crushed assorted hard candies, and then filling it to the brim with strong espresso. Voila! It's Aoud Cafe!! Although this fragrance is somewhat linear, I find that the woods, amber and musk push forward a bit more in the drydown while the coffee and sweet notes become more subtle, but are still present through the life of the scent. Performance is stellar in that Aoud Cafe lasts an solid 10-12 hours on my skin leaves a nice, thick, scent trail. It's not beastly, but it will leave a nice scent bubble and leave a favorable impression. There is no hint of celery in this fragrance, as some have mentioned, and I have received favorable comments from others. It's not one of those people-pleaser scents, but I find it to be a comforting cool weather fragrances that many will appreciate smelling in your presence. Finally, this is very different than Montale Intense Cafe...which is actually similar to Mancera Roses Vanille. Cheers!

Aoud Cafe: best coffee scent on the market, I have smelled. It isn't just a coffee scent, and the scent isn't prominent enough to be obnoxious. It's like a carousel of musk, cream, wood, and fruit revolving around a coffee base. Aoud Cafe is less of a coffee smell, more of a coffee house odor--a pretty coffee house with fruit and baked items and wood and a flower on your table. It's a classier scent than most other coffee-based perfumes; it is slightly eccentric and very well blended. Some have said, "Oh, forget this and get Montale's Intense Cafe, or if you have Intense Cafe, forget this redundant scent!!" ....BALONEY. Montale's Intense Cafe smells EXACTLY like you dumped a Grande Triple Cappuccino on your head. Aoud Cafe smells less definite, less of a coffee product, and smells more like a relaxing cafe environment. CELERY BE DAMNED! I smell none of that from my bottle or on my skin. Not sure where that is coming from with others' experiences. Downside: of Mancera's line, this might be the weakest longevity and sillage yet. It isn't abysmal, but from a house where a couple sprays conquer entire office buildings, this thing can take 6-8 sprays and barely fill a moderate living room. I get about 3-4 hours before it is just a mild surface scent for another hour or two. It's unique and quality stuff, but it lacks the Mancera Perfume PunchTM. 8/10 within the Mancerasphere. 9/10 within the entire Fragransphere.

Another fantastic niche fragrance from the house of Mancera. This one opens with a combination of sweet fruitiness and coffee. I can't say that I specifically detect the peach. Nor do I ever smell a "celery" scent that some report. The coffee is forward in the scent, but not overpowering. It's beautifully blended. As it begins to dry down to the heart notes, the sweetness dials back and a subdued floral emerges and joins the coffee accord. It's at this point that the fragrance is most feminine, but at all times it remains a true unisex fragrance. As the dry down enters the base notes, the oud becomes more apparent, but it's never overly strong. It joins the coffee, which has been apparent during the duration, and settles into a comfortable and enticing "symbiosis". I could see this fragrance being worn in 3 seasons. Not in the dog days of summer, it could become cloying then. Good for both day and night. Truly an alluring scent with great longevity and projection.

I get a strong coffee and spicy wood opening, yes really do get the coffee in this one, like freshly ground coffee beans on my skin with a citrus musk vibe hanging out in the background. The initial spray fills the room with this delicious scent. Aoud Cafe quickly develops into a coffee, woody, musky dry scent with just a tiny bit of sweetness, but this is not a sweet gourmand type fragrance to my nose. 3 hours in Aoud Cafe Settles down a little and the coffee recess just a bit, but is still present, while the wood becomes more pronounced. Projection reduces to about arms length at this point. 6 hours in and I still get a coffee / wood scent on my skin, but it becomes a skin scent. After 24 hours I still get whiffs of coffee and wood on my skin. I don't get the celery note that others have talked about. To me this is almost all coffee and wood on my skin. Bottom line: If you like coffee and / or woody scents, you should try a sample of this.

Aoud Cafe by Mancera: This is good. Obviously you have to enjoy the smell of coffee to like this, that goes without saying but even then you might be able to tolerate it since it's not a screechy synthetic coffee note, rather a blonde roast smooth almost chocolatey note without being synthetic or overly sweet. Definitely an autumn/winter scent with great quality and performance. It's one of the most unique frags I've ever smelled that pulls together notes of warm spiciness, woods and somewhat sweet touches. I get it's not for everyone but for me it's a very inviting gourmand that will have you standing out. Top notes: Coffee, bergamot, slight peach accord. Chocolate isn't listed but I pick it up, no hint of blackcurrant Middle notes: Coffee, amber, very slight floral Base notes: Woody, delicate musk, touch of coffee 5/5

Perfume 10, tested on paper, decant 10 ml Coffee with cardamom and flowers in a wooden café. I also get amber or something resinous in the background. Despite all that, it isn't overwhelming. There's actually a certain freshness running through the composition. After checking the official notes, I can see there's no cardamom after all, so it must be the bergamot that's leading my brain in that direction. I'd also say the floral note reminds me most of peony or something similar, but I see it's listed simply as a generic floral accord. To me, this is a very beautiful fragrance. It feels unique, although I haven't tried any of the fragrances it's commonly compared to. A decant is enough for me, as it's not the type of scent I'd wear very often, and it somehow always ends up being overshadowed by something else.

@Ozbon I know where you’re coming from. I also felt I had a crappy batch (17K314A), Oct 2017, but I’m resigned to the fact that it’s easy to go nose blind to this. I keep thinking it’s intimate until I’m reminded with a hefty waft every now and then. It’s more likely a moderate projecting scent. It’s a creeper and it’s one that doesn’t need more than 4 sprays. In comparison to Mancera’s other room-fillers, this isn’t even close, but it’s still a classy drop that creeps up on you. Coffee, woods and fruits in abundance. The amount of oil from this fragrance on my skin reminds me it’ll last. And it does. Add a couple of dots to your clothes (back of neck) or shirt collar. You’ll get wafts for a good 5-6 hours. Just don’t put your nose too close to it - or it disappears.

Aoud cafe by Mancera created by Pierre Montale is an enchanting gourmand / oriental fragrance that opens with a light fruity accord combined with prevailing amber notes and an intense toasted black coffee, with vague hints of liquorice (undeclared element) and a precious oud of rare beauty. Mancera with Aoud Cafè builds a rich, well-structured fragrance that is not sweet or oppressive, undoubtedly a monochord fragrance that can be defined almost immediately, thanks to its main notes. In this case the hint of Aoud, refreshed by coffee, is absolutely evident. The heart and base notes give completeness, but do not stand out excessively. Ideal fragrance for creating layering.

I wonder where the people saying it doesn't last long or that it smells like ass are trying their bottles? It lasts AGES and it smells amazing. I'm not someone that enjoys dirty, animal notes or even leathers but this is in no way offensive The 'celery'smell lasts all of 20 seconds, so if you sprayed it on a tester strip and stuck your nose up to it immediately as most people seem to do without understanding that they're only getting the top notes, then yes that would be what you're smelling and that's likely what a lot of the negative reviewers have done in my opinion...give it time

Yes, there is a vague hint of celery for about the first 5 minutes, because of the way the fruity and woody notes interact with each other, but as the coffee, amber and musk warm up, this turns into a delicious, gourmand vanilla confection. After 10 hours, the floral and sweet notes dominate and you feel like you're rolling in a bag of sugared rose-petal candy. Absolutely delicious! The "celery" reviewers shouldn't be reviewing fragrances if they can't let a fragrance progress beyond the alcohol dry-down before passing comment.

It took me 4 years since I bought it to understand the beauty of this perfume..!! 🤎☕ The opening is nice (peachy coffee), the midde notes is the worst part of the fragrance (strong scent of roasted cofee and nothing more, thank God it only last for 2 to 3 minutes), but the drydown is amazing..!! Sweet, musky, candy coffee..!! Perfect for cold weather! Sorry Aoud Cafe, i have wore you 3 times all these years because i didn't knew you well..! I never gave you the chances that you deserved, but now I know!!

After reading countless of reviews from youtube and here in fragrantica, I finally decided to buy a full bottle.. At first, i thought this doesnt perform well compared to other mancera offerings but i was wrong, this is beastly and sillage is great.. I convinced my cousin to wear this and damn, this is really good in the air.. I smell coffee when smell it directly but once it lingers in the air, i smell a lot of florals and peach.. this really a good blind buy imo

Love love love! I get sweet coffee with a hint of licorice and some wood in the background. Sometimes woody notes remind me of burnt wood, but here even the wood is sweeter. This is not to say that this is an overly sweet perfume. It's more like this perfume has some sweetness to it. On me it starts with a coffee blast and then I get deeper coffee! It's so nice! Lasts at least a full work day and radiates nicely even after a couple of hours.

To me this is a fruity, floral powdery almost chypre perfume with a more ambery drydown. The coffee note is there, but only in the first 2h or so, after that time it's more of an impression. So don't expect an "intense cafe", this is not it! But i think it's pretty good and well blended. It's indeed a busy wooden furniture coffee-house. Leans feminine. Performance is very good! Good Mancera again! 88 Oh...the celery note disappears quickly!

This is an artsy composition. I understand why some hate it. To me, this isn't any coffee scent, this is a "Jabana coffee" scent. If you don't know, "Jabana" refers to a traditional pottery flask used in Ethiopian, Eritrean, and Eastern Sudanese coffee ceremonies to brew Arabic coffee. The scent gives the feel of being in such a setting back in the day and now I'm overwhelmed by nostalgia. Thank you, Pierre Montale!

Definitely over hated, the rating is 3.72 as of time writing. For me, on my skin at least, the opening smells like a slightly toasted honey croissant. And when it gets warmer, its as if it was getting reheated in the microwave. It comes to a point where a lot of gourmand fragrances smell too similar to each other because they are all really sweet. But Aoud Cafe finds that fine line. I prefer it to Amore Caffe.

Well well well what do we have here? My first initial spray I thought hmmm coffee, capucino then I've asked my sister to smell it and she just blew my mind saying that smells like Jack Daniels honey and I must agree 💯 is true, it's boozy sweet woody but not that sick sweet that makes you throw up. What a beautiful fragrance I really like it. One of my first blind buys that actually makes me happy.

I really enjoy this fragrance. It is very unique and performs extremely well for the price point as with most Pierre Montale's perfumes. Very well blended and lasts forever. It is all year rounder and can be worn safely at the office as well. The dry down is amazing with soft oud coffee aroma that keeps on giving (the dry down to me is similar but not identical to Mancer Aoud Vanille ) 8/10 for me

First sniff is all licorice. Then it becomes a bit like a black coffee and finally a soft powdery gently fragrance. I love it. It's perfect for daily wear in close contact as it's not offensive in any way. It's a bit sweet but not sickly. I think it's fine for both Men and Women to wear. This to me is going out for dinner and drinks afterwards.

This is a wonderful scent, like a beautiful candied semi-spicy coffee. Just a hint of musk, amber, and black currant, and as a man I love it. It is a little on the feminine side, but I agree with the review below that one of the best features is that there are no synthetic tones from this juice at all.

I have had this for 6 months now, and it quickly became an all time fav. Don’t understand the hate it’s getting, prob to gatekeep. It’s a really unique smell that will make you stand out in a crowd. The dry down is amazing, it lasts a long time on skin and eternally it seems like on clothes. 9/10

one of my Favourite Mancera Fragrances, deceptive longevity, seems like its gone sooner than it really has! i find it to be a warm slightly sweet spicy coffee scent, perfect for day or night, definitely a cooler weather scent, Nice soft scent trail, not harsh or offensive at all. AOUD CAFE: 9/10

It very nice cent more male in my opinion. The aoud and the coffee blended very well. The celery you smell is arabian coffee if you haven't smell one. This one easy to wear perfect for cold days or even summer night. Unusual cent elegant and you will outstand.

Such an underrated gem. It works perfect on my skin. Whatever the opening you might feel, wait until the drydown. It's so nicely blended, warm, elegant. Sweet, but not overly, a bit woody a bit dimmed. My favourite from Mancera so far.

People say this isnt projection beast theyre probably not even wearing this out in public because everywhere i go with this i get compliments from feet away... this is my new favorite mancera out of 13 that i own

Very warm and lovely scent, but does not last long, after 1 hour it becomes skin scent and them lasts about 4-5 hours. Definitely unisex all the way from start to finish.

Smells similar to baby powder in the mid. Opens up with a heavy dose of fruits and coffee. Overall I think it's very nice. Good performance but not a beast. 8/10.

Mancera Aoud Cafe EDP opens with a moderate to a strong projection of sweet, coffee, and some fruity notes. The opening is delectable, inviting, elegant, natural, and pleasant. At this point, the coffee and sweet notes are the most noticeable accords. The coffee is a bold note, evocative of blond roast coffee beans, inviting, and natural. Very close are the sweet notes, an accord that is evocative of honey, with a sugary touch. The combination of coffee and the sweet notes resembles the scent produced by a cup of very hot, sweetened, smoky, blond roast coffee. The amber is in the second line of notes, it adds a resinous, and honeyed touch. The woody notes are one step behind the amber providing support, this note presents itself as dry-aged wood and it does not interfere with the coffee. Aoud Cafe, to my nose, is nonlinear, constantly giving hints of what it truly is. Initial spray and drydown (on cloth), I get no fruity notes whatsoever. No peach, no bergamot, no black currant. All I get is very incense-like, very woody notes — very reminiscent to a church where incense smoke fills the pews. Disappointing to say the least, but not too unexpected since another "cafe" fragrance smelled similar to my nose (but that was a bit more unbearable because that smelled more like a ginseng herbal shop). I gave my shirt one last sad whiff and what's this? This later drydown has peach! It's a synthetic peach, but nevertheless, it's there. Better, but not enough for me. I later gave my arm a whiff and I caught it — the elusive coffee note! The coffee is a delicious, roasted dark brew that’s been freshly brewed. However, it disappears rather quickly. I might be noseblind to it since after a minute or two, the beautiful coffee note disappears and I’m left with this incense-sandalwood scent I started off with. But if I give my arm a whiff after a rest, sometimes I get that coffee note I crave, sometimes I don’t. Such an odd fragrance! I do get the celery note others are talking about, but it comes in and out. It’s not super clear that it’s celery though, someone has to suggest it to you or you have to really think about it to realize it’s celery. On me at least, I’m confident overall that I do not smell like a walking celery stalk wearing this. Longetivity is low, a few hours before all I’m left with is a synthetic peach plus a little sandalwood. Silage is medium. Edit: I take back what I said, longevity is very high, lasting overnight for me. In the morning after I can smell it as if I just sprayed it an hour or two ago.

Aoud Cafe is an unexpected gem. It comes on very tangy and sweet with a slight bitter edge to it. It's brown sugared, dark roast coffee and chicory at Cafè Du Mondè in the French Quarter of New Orleans after a cool morning rain where the slate tiles are still damp and mineralic-in a bottle. Slightly floral, sweet, rich, a little metallic like the scent of brass doorknobs. It's strange and decisive and beautiful. The juice is a bit syrupy and it isn't a very prominent projection but seems to cut through the air like a dark oily coffee. A very unusual and instantly memorable perfume that skews totally unisex but might play better on men. If this had a color, it would be russet. This is now one of my favorite Autumnal scents. Has a slightly leathery coffee-tangy dry-down that has a sugared aura about it similar to CH for men. Scent: 8/10. I wish the coffee was a bit creamier but the composition works well and is really memorable. The "brass doorknob" scent I also get is unique. Projection: 7/10 for the first hour, easily (on my skin which eats fragrance), then 4/10 from hours 1.5-2, then it sits close but doesn't become a skin scent from hours 2-8. Sillage: 5/10 surprisingly not much of a train follows from what I could tell, but it did get noticed. Longevity: 10/10. Granted I stop counting the longevity after it becomes a skin scent, but I did get 10 hours of use, even though the last half was spent close to the body. It was still detectable at hugging distance. for you sticklers though...Ive had it on the back of my hand for 20 hours as of right now and can still detect it. Would I buy another bottle?: yes indeed.

Mancera Aoud Cafe seems to be one of the best-reputed fragrances from the line, and one I'd especially aspired to try, since I love coffee-dominant scents, and it's not bad. In fact, it's quite good, though it's simply not among the best coffee-dominant fragrances out there. First off, it's a bit biting in the coffee and wood combination that really tells most of the story. The florals don't add much enjoyment. Overall, though, the biggest complaint is the acerbic quality of it, and the comparatively poor quality of the coffee in the blend. It's a bit cumbersome to classify, as the coffee smell isn't specifically burnt, or too dark, or too light. Rather, it's very heady and acidic, and not rich enough, at least not along the lines of the coffee-dominant fragrances I love and own, in no particular order: Piotr Czarnecki - Sensei (now Shihan) Sebastiane - Espresso Royale Kerosene - Follow Dua Fragrances - Cafe Oud Thierry Mugler - A*Men Pure Coffee I'd recommend all of them, and most I've rated at 8 (out of 10), and frankly, a couple might be a 9 if I reevaluate it, and I'd say Mancera Aoud Cafe is a 7, so there's much conceptually separating them in the overall scheme of things except for the quality of the coffee component. Performance, at least, seems outstanding, so this could be a winter staple if it's your cup of tea (or coffee). I see this as leaning toward the masculine but certainly isn't restrictively masculine as with the very slight sweetness and florals, it has some stereotypically feminine aspects as well. 7 out of 10

I got a total of 10 manceras so far and I was not very convinced on this one but got it anyway for $60 some so it was not a bad deal. Ok it opens up sweet floral kind of leaning feminine, no coffee but just sweet, no oud. The celery note it is there made me want some hot wings. That note only lasts like 15 minutes and then it goes away. Once it starts to dry the sweetness tones down I get musky, wood, ambery, a very faint touch of coffee and turns more masculine but a very unisex fragrance. It is a weird fragrance not bad but on the weird side. The composition is not what you expect and they don’t dance so well together but it dries down to something wearable. To me it is not a gourmand scent like precious oud that one it is a gourmand. It is not even a coffee scent I guess they wanted to create a coffee shop scent. Oddly enough I prefer this one to silver blue that many really like. It lasts around 8 hours on my skin not a beast mode but good performance. From all the manceras I have, I do prefer both cedrats, aoud lemon mint and black prestigium. My collection ranking 1. Cedrat Boise 2. Aoud Lemon mint 3. Intense Cedrat Boise 4. Black Prestigium 5. This is a scent you have to GET USED to, by giving it a chance to understand. In the beginning it’s strong and it does smell green, I read some peeps compare it with celery? however when it dries down, you definitely get the coffee. Promise. I experienced this with every Mancera in my collection. Like a piece of art. I really like it, very nice rich aroma. I sprayed it at my husband a few times at the living room and got upstairs to dress up. When I came back to the living room it literally felt like I was at an expensive hotel at the coffee bar. Try it on a leather jacket, or combine it with sweet fruity bodylotion. You will definitely smell the coffee. 8/10 Upd; Aoud cafe is a few months in my collection. it wasn’t potent and it smelled strange at the beginning. Now there is more air in the bottle (because I used a bit) and it settled down, it smells just like coffee, only coffee. Like you spilled grinded coffe over your blouse. Dry scent. No strange celery notes or vegetables or whatever. I also experienced this with my other ‘settled down’ mancera’s. I don’t have the great knowledge about perfumery, but this brand really needs time. Give it a chance, don’t sell it too quickly if you don’t like the opening. Maybe strange to say it, but this perfume ages like a good wine. The older the better

Wow! Aoud Café opens with a blast of dark gourmand notes. I don't only get roasted coffee beans, but also chewy black licorice! Despite having some mysterious "sweet notes" listed, I don't find this scent very sweet. There is a slight fruity sweet accent that contrasts the bitterness, but not straight-up candy. The woody notes give the scent an intense base. I sense a light oud note in here, done in the typical sharp, synthetic Mancera fashion. Almost gasoline-esque in the heart phase, when the bitter notes are at their strongest. I think there is also a smidgen of rose and musk for balance. This is a strange fragrance, a fusion of harsh coldness and edible notes. Glossy fruit and licorice over coarse scratchy woods. It would go perfectly with a black leather or vinyl outfit and is more of a nighttime-scent in my opinion. It really baffles me that some reviewers describe this as soft or warm, to my nose it's anything but. The drydown is not as bold as the opening, sure, but the scent is rather rough in character. I'm not sure if I would wear this, but I like it and found it interesting to sample. It's unisex for sure and I'd love to smell it on a man, I hope my husband wants to inherit my sample.

Not Enough Coffee. While Aoud Cafe is a very pleasant smell, the promise of coffee is under-delivered. A sweet, ambery, white floral, woody scent with hints of coffee. The sweetness is not gourmand but more of a sweet softening of the woodiness, turning the fragrance beautifully ambery. The white floral notes give a fresh, silky, and uplifting feel. The coffee here is in hints and it is not the black, roasted coffee kind, but more the milky latte type. Ambery, slightly woody, soft, white floral, moderately fresh, incensy. A lovely smell but if you came here for the coffee, like me, you will be disappointed. It smells more like a modern feminine fragrance, with its ambery sweetness and white flowers. It smells quite familiar but I can not recall what feminine fragrance it reminds me of. Of course, like Montale, Mancera is untrustworthy with their liberal use of the word "aoud". So, do not come here looking for that. A beautiful, although more feminine-leaning, ambery white floral fragrance. More suitable for spring days. "Like"

Aoud Cafe is a very pleasant fragrance from Mancera and fits fall and cold weather perfectly. The opening is very inviting with the smell of a coffee shop with a note of peach I get in the opening. The heart of the fragrance still holds the coffee smell but adds a feminine touch of floral notes, woods, and slight musk. This isn't a feminine fragrance, nor would I call it masculine. It's a perfect unisex blend you can pull off dressed casually and warm. Doesn't have the best projection and longevity (about 7 hours / 2 hours of good projection and then stays close to the skin) out of the Mancera's but it's what I'd call a safe and easy fragrance to use in the cool weather. I think this fragrance gets overlooked especially if you like coffee fragrances, I use to also have the celery opinion when I first got it but the more I wore the more I found the "celery" note everyone talks about disappears 2-3 minutes into the opening to be honest a lot of Mancera fragrances have funky openings, I think it falls unisex even though I think when I bought it, it was marketed towards men I may be wrong on that so don't quote me ....After it drys down it does have a beautiful coffee more like a cappuccino than a roasted coffee mixed with the woody notes and citrus along with the florals and musk make it very smooth and I think its easy to pull off and wear, Is this my favorite Mancera or even in my top 5 ,,,,probably not but it is good and is defiantly worth looking into if you like rich coffee fragrances and can tolerate the 2 minutes of "celery" while it settles down

Beautiful fragrance that starts bold and dries down soft and comforting. The initial blast of black coffee is exquisitely bold (if you enjoy coffee note). Unlike Xerjoff Udan’s soft powdery coffee note, this is black and intensely in your face. Think about freshly ground French roast coffee beans. I really like it. The dry down softens the coffee note as the amber and sweet notes slowly come to the forefront. The amber is a beautiful, soft powdery aura that surrounds the wearer. Sophisticated and comforting. Longevity is 8/9 hours and projection is great for first couple of hours before it settles to a nice scent bubble of the powdery amber. I find this is a bit more masculine...but both sexes could easily pull this off. I have this as a like, but it could easily become a love as I get more experience with it.

My dad and I bought this fragrance together. Perfume-sniffing is our bonding together. This is love at first sniff for the both of us. He bought it right then and there without waiting for the drydown. On my dad, Aoud Café smells like roasted coffee ever so sweetened with brown sugar and milds whiffs of campfire. On me, this smells like generic amber woody fragrance with lots of incense and a very, VERY faint coffee. Reminds me a bit of Kalemat except Kalemat smells smoother. Why is the difference so big? I’m so glad I’m penniless atm so I didn’t buy a full bottle too. I have the same experience with Aoud Vanille. On my dad, it smells like freshly baked cookies, on me just generic spicy wood. Projection and longevity is top notch as usual with Mancera. Tested from 120ml freshly opened bottle

This is a very unique fragrance.... the name says it's aoud cafe.... yup it smells like sandalwood mixed with sweet coffee.. coffee is in the background....coffee not the dominant note .... sandalwood is the dominant note ... smells really pleasant ... definitely a unisex fragrance ... Smell - 9/10 Longevity-10/10 Projection-10/10 Silage - 10/10 Compliments - 7.5/10 ( I gotta be honest it's not a compliment monster .. but still u can expect compliments from ladies ... not every time ull get compliment from ladies... occasionally) Versatility- it's a strictly fall/winter fragrance... but still u can pull this off in spring evenings/nights Jes spray 2-3 sprays(max) ... don't go more than that ull b choking urself for sure

I'm gonna start out by saying I had a 1ml sample and I'm only gonna do sprays from now cause it's just not the same for testing, it really annoys me. This is a beautiful fragrance, kinda sweet, kinda spicy. But to say this is a coffee fragrance is farfetcht, yes there's a slight hint of coffee but it's really subtle, far in the background, you mostly get the amber, woody, spicyness. It smells really good, but with the fragrances I own, not nice enough to buy it, maybe I'll test it again one day. My mom loved it though. I got whifs for about 3 hours, maybe longer, not sure cause I was working.

This was a blind buy for me, and it’s alright on its own. There’s a bitterness to it that really works on my skin so although I don’t wear it all the time it has earned a solid spot in my rotation. One thing that Aoud Cafe really shines at is at being a great add on to any scents that may otherwise come off as too sweet, too floral, too anything really. A great way to describe the effect would be adding a pinch of salt to a hot chocolate. Most of the time I use is paired with Choco Violette, wild Cherry, wild Candy.

I get lovely roasted coffee beans balanced with a sweet freshness, and under that some woodiness edged with something like the 'burnt/smokiness' almondluver1 mentioned below. A deliciously calming fragrance that I'm increasingly reaching for. I notice a few others smell things quite differently. Bit silly to behave as though one's own experiences are of some higher objective value and others' somehow faulty, though. Folk are different; this isn't difficult.

Great and interesting fragrance. It doesn't smell As potent as a cup of coffee. It smells of 30% coffee and the rest being fairly fruity notes with a small hit of amber. It's crisp and slightly warm scent. Best for spring and fall in my opinion. Not heavy or warm enough for winter. Would be too much in the summer though. Very interesting and original scent. Well done mancera. Haven't been let down by this house yet.

I like this perfume but its not something that will leave me impressed. It starts with whiff of fresh coffee which soon fades away to give room to fruits, flowers, and amber. It smells nice, but if you smell any old montale perfume you will recognise that this one carries the same DNA. And as with all Montale/Mancera line, it has bomb-like projection and stays for long time. 7/10
