Aoud Line

To me, Aoud Line opens with a strong dark rose (Turkish Rose) and a dark woods accord. After a few minutes, the rose begins to separate itself from the oud, patchouli and what I believe to be teak wood. Although I have smelled teak wood in various arts and crafts, I don't often smell this note in fragrance, and plucking it out of a kickin' Mancera Rose-Aoud fragrance is no easy task. In this case, I get more of a dark woods vibe--or even guaiac wood--since it's buried behind a screaming rose. For some reason, I also detect some spices such as pepper and ginger; Aoud Line is bit warm/soft spicy at this point even though no spices are listed in the notes pyramid. Moreover, I detect a light sweetness which I will attribute to the vanilla and raspberry. Both notes are indescribable at this point. Rose, dark woods, patchouli and sweet and warm/soft spices are really very nice. This fragrance remains fairly linear with that Turkish Rose at the forefront from top-to bottom. Although the oud steps forward almost immediately, to me it seems to combine with the teak wood and patchouli giving Aoud Line a dark woods accord and not-so much an oudy feeling; it's all about rose and dark woods for the 2-1/2 to 3-hours. The vanilla-amber-raspberry trio slowly emerge and give Aoud Line a bit more depth and, in my opinion, a sweet-sour accord. Let's call this threesome the Kingston Trio because it sits in the background behind the rose and dark woods. Okay, I do like this sour-sweetness...but I get the feeling some may not. Also, this eventually does become a very nice amber scent, but that phase doesn't happen until 6+ hours on my skin. To me, it's basically rose, dark woods and the Kingston Trio during the drydown which, on my skin, lasts a solid 12+ hours. This fragrance projects very well for the 4-5 hours and will leave a nice scent trail as with all the Montale/Mancera Rose-Aoud fragrances. Moreover, you will smell it on your clothing the next week or two; no problems with longevity and projection. Overall, Aoud Line is a very nice rose-oud fragrance (Well Done!) but I have several Montale Mancera Rose-Aoud fragrances and Aoud Line is just not that different, unique, or one of my favorites. But your mileage may vary. Rose-Aoud fans will probably love this one--I do--but, honestly, there are just so many Montale-Mancera fragrances that are similar to this one that I would definitely try it first. Folks who don't like rose or oud...well, you should move on because you won't like this one.

I have an average nose, find it very difficult to pinpoint the notes whcih i get. I see very less review on this. No mancera is bad. You need an experienced nose to like it. This perfume works strangely on my skin. Sometimes it starts with fruity notes I do detect the raspberry and rose. Gradually the woods enters the picture, which is the dominant note. It smells different than other mancera which are woody like black to black, the aoud, etc etc Longevity is very very good. Easily 12+ hours I have magnetic cap version. Overall if you are into oud which is not sweet you would like it. I face no problem in wearing it in high heat. If you are looking for compliments then dont buy this. It is for those who wear scents for themselves.

Smells much like Montale Aoud Night, which is a compliment. These are both rose dominant oud fragrance classics which are slightly harsh at the open and soften to a more gentle but pleasant accord. The intensity diminishes but the fragrance persists throughout the day. Not sure this would be mass-appealing but it is indeed a pleasure for the wearer as it can be detected with almost every breathe. This differs slightly from Aoud Night in that the leather note here is slightly more prominent at first, but it quickly diminishes. It is not worth owning both this and Aoud Night. One or the other will suffice. Aoud Night has a slight edge on performance. John 1:4-5

Being an Oud lover, this is a top shining star in my collection. The combination of Raspberry, Rose along with Oud is just phenomenal. Though I wish Rose could be a bit less in the opening but no complains as it equally suits both the genders. It's an all season, day & night perfume but I prefer to wear it mostly during winter. Good news for those who crave for compliments - these gem will not let you down !! I personally get compliments every time I wear it. Overall this is great perfume provided that if you are an OUD lover. Scent : 10/10 Sillage : 9/10 Longevity : 10/10 easily lasts +24 hrs (Trust me)

I own 16 manceras as of now and i gotta say I absolutely love the brand. Both mancera and montale are fantastic. Most all of their fragrances are beast mode with insane sillage. My favorite so far is intense red tobacco but I'd highly recommend any from the brand. This is a scent oud lovers will enjoy. My bottle is very oud forward and I've seen many others say the same in their reviews. Oud is one of my favorite scents but many times mancera will put aoud in the name and the fragrance has no oud in it. This is not one of those scents. 9/10. To me this smells similar to aoud night from montale.

This really has my attention. The silage is nice and a 50ml bottle is all one needs, collector of not, a couple sprays will get you through the day. This is definitely unisex, right down the middle. This is the second one I've smelled so far from this house and it makes me want to see what all the Oud compositions this house has out is all about. Update, I put just a little dab of this on my arm last night, 14 hrs ago and after sleeping all night under the sheets, this stuff is still projecting hard and is strong!!! The best thing, the scent turns in to a wonderful Oud smell! So nice!!

Revisiting this fragrance again...oh how I love it. 4oz is way to much juice when or if you're a collector like me, I stopped buying the largest bottles when I got past the 50 bottle mark. Unless your going to split or decant, which I don't, one would barely put a dint in this bottle. Why I say all this? Bc this juice is very Very VEry VERy VERY powerful! Silage monster. But the smell....oh the smell. Is divine. What I think we all want oud to smell like. Not masculine or feminine, just perfect down the middle guys. Full bottle on the way!!

Very wearable as the oud is in the background and does not have a medicinal vibe. This is all about raspberry and rose and should appeal to both sexes equally. Males that love Tuscan Leather but want something a bit softer should like this and women who feel that TL is great but a bit too masculine should like this as well. Performance is above average with this one as is the standard for Montale/Mancera. Can be worn throughout the year which is a big plus for an oud scent.

If you've tried Roberto cavalli tiger oud and had a desire to have more rose in a fragrance than an oud. Your search ends here. Get this. It's extremely potent. Stays on clothes for a week. 10 plus hours on skin easily. Mostly rose and faint oud in drydown. I have over 100 of fragrances and since the day i have received it i have worn it more than all of my fragrances combined. DId not know I'll love any oud based fragrance so much. Totally loving it. To me this is first and foremost a wonderful, masculine rose scent. From the first spray a big warm rose, slightly sweetened by vanilla and raspberry, hits your nostrils. The rose is not jammy despite being slightly sweet. The next thing you sense is a rather subdued oud which settles down in the background fairly quick. This scent performs wonderfully and the rose, supported by inoffensive woods and raspberry, will stay for the entire duration. A great perfume.

Love it. Unisex. Beautiful. Oud/raspberry combo flanked by Amber, woodsy notes, a little patchouli, vanilla and just a little rose. I went to the store hoping to walk out with Cedrat Boise but walked out with this one instead. beautiful composition. The star here is the raspberry note. It pairs well with the darker notes (Oud, woods, and patchouli), taking them to a different place compared to other compositions that have this combination.

Impressive all around, very long lasting, silage is unbelievable and compliments galore. I am enjoying this fragrance but I love anything from Mancera and or Montale, just impressive long lasting ,daring fragrances..........5 Stars!

Bought this for 50 bucks on scents angel. Very nice scent. Oud forward at first but as it dries it loses the oud. 8/10. This stuff is eternal with enormous sillage.

On my girl skin, this does not seem to perform. The opening in my case is very medicinal, it is still pleasant, but a complete disinfectant smell. If I wanted to wear disinfectant, I would be over the moon that it exists in such a nice wearable form. This stage passes on skin, but lingers on clothes for days. What my skin makes it is a smoky wood. Again, pleasant, nice, wearable; but not as special as I hoped. Does it project and last like crazy? No, on me it does not. I tried one spray and I tried 4-5 sprays, it wore quite the same, fairly close to the skin. It is definitely there for around 10-12 hrs, but not noticeable. And as time passes and it fades on the skin, the disinfectant smell on clothing starts to reappear. Do I pick up roses, amber or raspberry? I distinctly notice rose only when sniffing the bottle and caught a whiff of raspberry exactly once. There is a sweetness to it, and like I keep saying, it is nice and pleasant and blended, but somewhat uninteresting. Smoky incense, wood. I don't always like woody notes, and this is definitely the best woody scent I have tried so far. However, it definitely did not live up to my expectations. I will keep testing it some more, but if anyone is interested in a EU swap, I would not mind passing my bottle on to someone else.

For the Oud haters. Listen up Oud haters. This fragrance has laotian Oud aka Oud from Laos. This is not your typical skanky pungent Oud. There are a ton of Oud variations that the Mancera house uses for their Oud line and the Laotian Oud is the least pungent out of all of them. ***Side note*** (The oud in mancera’s are just accords and not actual ouds) The oud in this fragrance is very nice and not in your face. It is the same oud that’s in MFK Oud Satin Mood. Which is a tremendous fragrance. Anyways the people commenting saying this fragrance is Oud dominate are probably new to niche or perhaps Oud in general. Also batch codes matter I have a 2020 batch of this and I gave it away to my girlfriend because she enjoyed it. She hates Oud to the core but likes this fragrance because of the dry down. This fragrance has to settle to truly shine and it takes about a good 10-15 minutes for all the notes to work together. This fragrance works great in the winter time I wouldn’t recommend this in the summer because the heat can intensify the Oud and rose notes making this challenging to wear and can easily get cloying for yourself and those around your surroundings.

I have a lot of oud scents, and several rose-ouds, which are among my favorites. To my nose, Aoud Line is a pretty straight-forward, oud-centric composition. Of the many rose-ouds I have, this is the least rosy. The opening is what many oud-lovers are familiar with-- that oudy punch in the face, described by people as funky, animalic, or even industrial. I like it, but it obviously needs to settle for a little while. As it dries down, I *wish* the rose and other notes came forward a bit more. Oud remains the main focus of the composition, complimented most notably with a hint of rose and some additional woodiness. The overall scent balances out as it dries down. Reading others' reviews, I suspect that the potency of the oud might vary by batch. Mine is very direct, strong, comparatively uncomplicated, and less layered than my other ouds. While I enjoy it, I would not recommend it for people new to ouds as there are gentler ways to ease people into this genre. Unisex, but leans a bit masculine. The longevity is very good and the projection is strong; a light application goes a long way.

Another synthetic rose “oud” accord. Not bad. Not rubbery. Airy. Unisex. Woody vanilla or amber does seep in during the mid. Not too sweet. It’s pleasant. May be too floral if you’re looking for a masculine lean. Could be a top shelf scent if it were less synthetic. And with a bit more depth...

first few mins.. smells very feminine.. after few hours.. smells like jawaher that i bought from ASAQ house.. I like it but no "wow" effect. I smell rose but not usual rose.. high quality rose.. the ouds are just like background singer. try it before buy it.

The most underrated Mancera in my collection. I love rose and this is a creamy, dark rose. Not mass appealing by any stretch of the imagination, so most of the comments here are valid. I got it at great price and I'm excited.

A beautiful cool weather date night style fragrance. I get the Oud, and the rose initially, but I mostly get a very fruity and Ambery scent as it towns down. It’s sweet but not cloying in anyway. I really enjoy this one.

Run of the mill rose/oud with patchouli. The only difference is that it’s brighter than your typical rose/ouds. Performance is great!! 🌹

One word... Beautifull. Same scent as Montale Aoud Night.

This is pungent and only for oud lovers, I am an Oud lover but this one is really challenging to me to wear. It reminds me of the smell of a very old pickled black olives jar when you first open it, a bit unpleasant. With time it mellows down but not to the extent of being smooth enough to wear personally. I don't smell rose, it is very woody and oudy and pungent. My friend said it reminded him of wood polishing chemical products and I can see that. Performance is just killer and projection it projects a lot and you personally smell it with every whiff. Surely doesn't have a mass appeal and maybe be really offensive to many. I appreciate the quality but it gets a No from me.

This is a very "complicated" fragrance in my opinion. One thing I can say for sure: Do not blind buy this. It is very heavy at the start, just like all Mancera fragrances, you should never use in in enclosed spaces. I had 2 sprays on my neck and sat in my office and a huge headache just came through instantly. Safe to spray 15-25 minutes before leaving the house but make sure you use this fragrance in spaces that you have plenty of space. After the fragrance sets on our skin you can smell the slight rose notes but the wood and spicy notes hit you like a truck for people who prefer easier fragrances. Avoid: Cinema sittings, office days, house hangouts, warm days.

I like oud based scents when done well, but that’s not the case for me here. Opening smells just like Vick’s Vapor Rub. I’m not sure which notes are causing that stinging, mentholated, medicinal note, but it’s present and overpowering. My best guess is that it’s the synthetic oud that Montale/Mancera uses in their perfumes. It does change in the drydown, when it turns into a disenfectant with a wood base. I can’t seem to find anything from Mancera that works on me. Time for a shower.

Blind bought as I’m always looking for a nice raspberry scent! I love Mancera but if i’m being honest, the opening here is terrible but then dries down to something much nicer, however isn’t very as unique or head turning as most Mancera fragrances. Looking to sell or trade if anyone is interested.

For me, this one leans much more feminine than masculine. It has the thick sweetness characteristic of women’s perfumes. The oud, rose and raspberry are very prominent. I did not feel comfortable wearing it. Performance was great. Way too expensive for what it is though.

Oud and rose is not quite my thing. Here a pungent and unpleasant oud has been used. So definitely a dislike from me.

This is the worst perfume in the galaxy. I m so offended. Its like a bug spray for nasty aliens.Everyone around me hated it. U must be schizophrenic to like this abomination. Omfg and that fake raspberry underneath this stench ? Extra vomiting.

This fragrance opens with a strong and prominent oud note, it is rather bold and animalic, borderline unpleasant, pungent, above the oud levels found in other Mancera fragrances. Initial projection is very good, the fragrance impacts and opens its own space, it has a slight hint of rotten wood, not necessarily pleasant but not completely offending either. The opening lasts longer than most fragrances but average among Mancera fragrances which share that oily texture which seems to improve its performance and longevity. As far as the opening, the fragrance feels unisex, a paradise for oud lovers, with a strong animalic scent which is not described in the notes but probably the result of the combination of other notes. After 15 min or so the fragrance will start drying down and the roses, a bit of raspberry and patchouli will join the oud. About 30 minutes into the dry-down the fragrance will develop a powdery tone, the oud will subside a bit but still is the dominant note. Aoud Line is a unique fragrance, more suited for those that seek different fragrances, bold yet smooth, this one is a good example of uniqueness. Category: Oriental woody. Batch reviewed: 2020 Wow Rating: 10/10. The fragrance is impressive, especially the opening. That aoud tone is pungent. Dislike Rating: 7/10. The aoud tone comes with some type of animalic touch which could be unpleasant to many. This fragrance is well suited for expert connoisseurs. Uniqueness: 10/10. A very unique fragrance. Mass Appeal: 1/10. Its uniqueness makes it unsuited for the masses. Projection: 7/10. Projection is fantastic, 7 feet around the wearer. Sillage: 7/10. Careful with the trigger, this is POTENT stuff, BEWARE! You have been warned!! Great fragrance....sweet, musky; the sillage is wonderful especially with only one spray. Just received, so I will return with a more detailed review. Update: This is powerful stuff!!! Sillage is outstanding......dry down is somewhat similar to that of Opus V-Amouage, although unique from the oud and sweetness. Unfortunately, I have not tried Montale-Aoud Night so I can not offer any thoughts. I agree with Enigmatic.777; there is a berry (ness) feel to this; goes on sweet however don't let that fool you or deter you from desiring this great juice. As the fragrance evolves it layers out into a fine oud blend that is amazing! With one spray, 8+ hours, it is as if I just sprayed it on. There is this spicy oud mixed with rasberry that comes through the sweetness that's just amazing; also, there is a velvety sweet kind of a Journey Man feel, in addition to the aforementioned..... Mancera fragrances are great in that they last and last..... Projection: 8 out of 10 Longevity: 8 out of 10 Sillage: 10 out of 10 Overall: 9 out of 10 Great fragrance! By the way, I sprayed this on around 5:00pm on Wednesday and can still smell this on my arm Thursday during lunch time!

Purchased from Mancera website . SCREW ON cap PERFORMANCE : " Skin me alive " . Projects for maybe an hour. Longevity is subtle after 8 hrs on clothes. The Smell ? Smells like the opening of a Xerjoff frag but only for a few minutes then it just skins you alive. Not much else to say. Nothing heavy about this. Rather thin with very little depth and development. Update: I finished an entire bottle of this and I would buy it again. The projection is soft but it does linger for a very long time. In some ways it reminds me of Amouage Opus 5..or it 4 ? :) Anyway this is a very nice fragrance. I am happy to own it..or rather finished it.

Impressive silage... Very powerful fragrance. Two sprays and I got Nuclear projection. Smells wonderful ... But you must try on your skin before buying a full bottle . In my opinion rather have Black Line .... It's also beautiful and less "explosive" on my skin. Don't forget ... Opinions are very personal ... I can smell and " see" high quality ingredients... So really worth it ( I don't get any medicinal smell comparing with similar fragrances from Montale Paris )

Blind bought this and man am I Happy! One of the underrated Mancera. Gives me LV Ombré Nomade type vibes!
