Aoud S

So apparently this got discontinued a long time ago but I was able to find a decant of it. I enjoy oud fragrances and this one is interesting. It definitely has the fecal type of oud but it isn't that overpowering. The ylang ylang and leather are very prominent and a little rose. Performance is beast mode as you'd expect. Overall I'm very pleased with it but I do understand why it doesn't have great reviews. 8.5/10 from me. I just noticed this hasn't had a review in almost 3 years. Kinda crazy. There's still some bottles of this one ebay so I'm debating picking one up. Full bottle worthy for me.

I'm in the mood for aoud. I finally decided to explore aouds. For me, this was a greater safe starter. My first spray was stingy. I was afraid of aoud overload. The small spritz worked well with my chemistry and I've continued down that path when I reach for this one. Initially, this is sharp like flowers after rain, with a tiny undertone of a medicinal note, mellowing down to sensuous, silent, sexy siren, not for the innocent. The midrange and drydown remind me of a very old, well-blended scotch. The rose, geranium, clove, ylangylang, musk notes are there, but blended so finely that I don't get a dominance of any singular one. Unlike other reviews here I find no Farenheit, ( one of my least favorite scents,), nor do I get car leather, or a heavy masculine bent. This haunting rosy wood nymph projects well and lasts 10+hrs. Admittedly different from the rest of my collection, I'm happy to branch out, for this mood enhancer aoud.

A hidden gem once you get past the initial harsh chemical opening. Don't smell it up close and it leaves a pleasant fresh aroma around you all day. Try it for yourself and let your skin be the judge!!!

Oud done well. One of the best from the line. If you like the note oud done well with fresh hints of florals, this is the one for you. Love this bad boy. Definate buy, even at the pricepoint.

Oud on my skin turns really bad. I have tried many scents but now I will never try any scent that contains oud again. If u love and can wear oud try this one. On paper aoud s is great

He scores!! So, I blind bought this...great fragrance! Not sure why this is marketed as a scent for women because in my opinion this is more unisex, even masculine. In the opening I get the rich jasmine and rose notes even the bergamot. As the scent comes into its own, there is this creamy-isk leather smell that comes through; gorgeous, just gorgeous!!! One of the many things I like about Mancera fragrances is the oil/alcohol texture that gives this brands fragrance(s) such depth. This one reminds me of Aoud SandRoses slightly from the florals, however this one goes in a different direction. There is also the joining of the sweetness with oud/musk-an amazing combination that comes off as kind of boozy! Great projection as it envelops..... There is this new car smell (from the leather, of course) that this reminds me of, yet nice and inviting!! Overall, I give this fragrance very high marks; After giving this a full wearing, this fragrance settles into a rich woody floral with hints of oud and sweetness! Sillage is great, however I would love for the projection to expand in distance (IMO)! Longevity is all day, at least 7 hours; Lovely juice that will garner compliments!!! The dry down gives you this powdery leathery smell that's brilliant!! Only drawback is, to get to this fragrance's goodness just takes a while! In my opinion, the wait is worth it. ***It takes a moment to get to that goodness; not sure if one has the patience to wait for that-usually, it takes about 30 minutes or so for the real leather, sweetness to come into its own!**** Update: Um, Um, Um good....lasted all day, easily 15+hours!!!

A strange but rather flat smoky aoud. Beautiful nonetheless, I was expecting a little more spice and vivacity from it, given the notes. Very long lasting but with less projection and silage than other Mancera or Montale, it's a warm aoud with soft leather / suede and some violet and ylang which make it creamy. The drydown has a little bit of an ashy tone, like burnt wood.... The aoud is warm, smoky creamy and smooth. No sharpness whatsoever; absolutely no typical medicinal/dentist smell here. Why Fragrantica categorizes this into women's section I don't understand, as it is clearly unisex, maybe even manly. Very interesting! The bottle ( 60ml ) is gorgeous but simple, very classy. I love the Mancera bottles, they are so well crafted, way better than Montale bottles. Heavy crystal and heavy metal tops. Obviously Mancera doesn't spare on quality ingredients and presentation when making their perfumes. Because of its smokiness, creaminess and warmth, I believe this will work best in the winter or fall. Still, it might go for swap since it's just not feminine enough for my taste. Edit: I asked my daughter what she thinks of it, she said to me it smells like a new car! Go figure! Not that an 8 year old child knows much about new cars.... I don't love it at all, but I do appreciate it because it's unusual . I wish it was a little more feminine though, less flat and serious..... might swap it. Pm me if interested.

Aldehydic, slightly green, fresh oud. This immediately reminds me of a resort lobby by the pool side. Some chlorine water type nuances, with the geranium, violets, ylang ylang and the bright rose, it's a seamless blend. The clean musk stays throughout the scent, leather is faint to me in the background, the cloves and the fresh citruses together with the mature florals make it very aromatic and vibrant. For sure a different, quite unique scent. A surprise from Mancera in terms of scent and performance since this feels subtle and not heavy on projection. Still, less is more with this scent. It's hard to find now, but definitely worth a try for those who like a green, fresh aromatic take on oud.

Aoud S is a lovely oudh fragrance in that it smells completely unnatural. When I first wore this, I thought 'raspberry jelly crystals that would burn my throat' which it does... in a way. But now it smells like the chemicals my dad uses to clean his car. Call me nostalgic, but I think that's pretty cool. It's the smell of leather, oud and ... chemicals that are thinly disguised by a berry scent. It's abbrassive and lasts about 1.5 hours on me. It's kind of a love, but 5mL is enough thank you.

I ordered a sample of this and, notwithstanding my very broad taste for different fragrances, this one was pure awful stink. I wonder if the sample came from an expired bottle? It was very stinky like some rotting animal. I'm confused at all the good reviews so I'm convinced I received a bad sample. Straight to the trash.

Animalic musk at the beginning, rose and leather after all build basing on oud. It's like paradox- fight oud against the rose complimenting each other at the same time. All on smooth violet musk leather Fharenhity type bases. U can get soft saffron vibe too. Amazing like all Manceras X

Compra a ciegas, esas notas de oud y cuero lo hacen totalmente masculino no entiendo porque está catalogado como fragancia femenina, recomiendo probar antes de comprar.
