Aoud Vanille

Took delivery of a nice chubby bottle of this warm, sweet fragrance today. The glass flacon fits the hand like a scented hand grenade. If Baccarat made teargas grenades from crystal for the Fashion Police's riot division, they might resemble this bottle. The label, like most Mancera labels, is a collection of crimes against typography, but one can overlook them because the fragrance itself is so compelling. The cap twists off to remove, unlike caps from most other houses. So the bottle can be safely lifted by its cap. It's a twist off cap, not an unscrew cap, which means it comes off in less than a full turn. The girlfriend doesn't like it as much as I do (which means she just likes it while I absolutely love it). This scent is perfect for cooler weather. Its warm, dark, sweet enveloping qualities are ideal for fall and winter. I guess you could wear it in summer if you used one spray or less. There is a slightly medicinal oud note upon first application. This only lasts about 10-30 minutes. Then the warmth of the woods and the oud, along with the sweetness of the vanilla, all come to the forefront. It's of those scents where I initially preferred the dry down to the early phase, but quickly grew to love them both. That's true of many of my favorite scents. This is definitely the most gourmand fragrance I currently own. Maybe it should be banned for being diabetes-inducing. Because it makes you think of warm, sweet flavors like chocolates, caramel, vanilla ice cream and sweet cookies of all types. But it's an open question as to whether it encourages consumption of sweet foods, or whether it satisfies those urges through its own scent. I guess that depends on the individual. Sillage and projection are huge, as is longevity. No need to overspray unless you're in an outdoor situation on a windy day in the Arctic, surrounded by distant strangers with intimacy issues. My full bottle smells a bit warmer and darker than the 2ml sample I originally tried. This suits me well because the full bottle smells a bit more masculine than the sample, which was incredibly sweet. Vanilla is supposedly one of the natural flavors in mothers' milk. That would account for the warm, soothing, enveloping qualities of this scent. Then the warm strength of the oud provides a reassuring masculine fatherly foundation beneath the vanilla. It's a balm for all your deepest parental psychological problems - all in a single bottle. I haven't worn this enough yet to know whether it gets compliments or not, but frankly I don't give a damn, because I enjoy it myself so much. As long as it doesn't make people run screaming from me, I'm going to keep wearing it. UPDATE: I've received compliments from my girlfriend several times when wearing this scent, even though she didn't know what it was, or when she mistakenly identified it as a different scent that she believes she prefers. UPDATE: In my experience and in my opinion, it's OK for summer wear, as long as you don't use too many sprays. UPDATE: I made the mistake of screwing the cap down a little too tightly. The next time I tried to remove it, the sprayer came unscrewed too and was stuck inside the cap. Googling revealed that this problem was shared by others. It's a common Mancera problem. I ended up freeing it by screwing it back onto the bottle and miraculously the cap came free, to my relief. I'd been unable to free it with pliers. Now I never screw the cap down tightly. So if you're careful and don't make the same mistake, your Aoud Vanille will reward you with many enjoyable wears.

The opening is really interesting and different - I get medicinal oud with black pepper. It has a reminiscence to coca-cola or Dr Pepper at first but this doesn't last long. The scent is very addictive and I had to keep sniffing... after a short while a clean woody oud comes through with the other wood notes. The vanilla and floral notes were last to appear for me. The blend is very well done and the scent takes you on a journey as it develops on your skin. The vanilla to me is sweet but dry and not sickly or girly. Almost smells like there is some tobacco note in there even though it's not listed. When I first sprayed it I assumed it would be a beast but it is actually fairly close to the skin on me (or maybe I have gone anosmic to it from sniffing so much already). ETA: I went out in the cold and the scent bubble was amazing! It's like a cloud of syrupy oud! Definitely has reasonable projection although probably one you won't smell as much as others will inside due to the ease of going nose-blind. There is nothing exactly like this that I have ever smelled - there is no similarity between this and Shaghaf Oud as somebody suggested below. The oud in this is somewhat similar in moments but there is no comparing the two fragrances at all. I also don't get the reference to BR540 below, other than the saffron. I was hoping it would fill my craving for TF's Tobacco Vanille without splurging but it doesn't satisfy even though the woody vanilla is in the same kind of mood (not that they smell at all similar). I am going to need both now. This is a smokey, leathery, masculine oud with vanilla. It has enough sweetness and airiness to make it unisex but it is the type of scent which would probably be more commonly smelled on men. It is classy, sophisticated and mysterious and would be appropriate for day/night events, either formal or casual. I imagine a very suave, well dressed businessman wearing this for work and everywhere. Love it!

This fragrance is absolutely going to be a scent memory for my adventures living in central Spain for this fall/winter. I needed a winter scent and I wanted something very strong with a deep woody base and a bit of non-fruity-sweetness. One day after absolutely bombarding my senses with all sorts of frags and falling down a rabbit-hole of testing almost every montale oud on the shelf nothing was quite hitting the mark, and then there it was! Vanilla. Oud. Perfect, finally thank goodness. Easy choice. But here I get what other people said in the comments- the oud was so different from all the others i’d just tested. It came off mild and medicinal in the opening and the oud smelled mineral-y vs. the montale ouds which were very different and had my senses way overstimulated at that moment. I really wanted to like it...but didn’t want to lie to myself because of the price point. I gave it another chance and tested it on skin and clothes a few days later and wow what a difference!! If you’re looking for the same thing I was, this is a great scent. On me I wouldn’t say this feels warm per se...the vanilla feels more like a crystalized sugar vanilla and it’s true...the spicy cardamom opening is more raw and piercing than enveloping. The oud is beautifully present, smooth and elegantly done. Perfect for the coldest days in north-central Spain. I’d want something a tad more cozy/cutesy if I lived somewhere it snowed. Decadent, sophisticated, grown up, a little unapproachable yet so fcking addicting to a frag lover like myself. I’m surprised the votes have this frag leaning on the masculine side, I think it’s strictly unisex. I know I’m pulling this off as a feminine young adult. I get all day wear. As for sillage and what other people think i’m not sure. I don’t know any frag lovers in my real life here. A friend said she could smell me from far away but not much about the strength or what it smells like.

Created this account after spending a while time as an observer looking through this website for fragrance recommendations just to leave this review - this fragrance is INCREDIBLE! Well, if you like certain smells, that is ... This opens with a really strong, leathery smell - As in, imagine you are walking into an expensive bag store and are sticking your head inside a calf leather bag. It’s a dense, heavy smell that has a woody, smoky tinge to it. It stays this way for around 30-40 minutes before slowly transitioning ... The drydown keeps the leather but dilutes this so that it is not totally encompassing. At this point, a rich and smoky vanilla is introduced that smells lush. It’s a really authentic smell that reminds me of fresh vanilla clothes that you’d find in a gourmet dessert parlour. I’m new to the fragrance game so can’t say if it’s the best vanilla scent out there (most likely far from it, I expect) but it’s pretty damn good regardless! Projection on this, as is the case with most of Mancera from what I’ve heard, is superb - 1-2 sprays is enough to fill a small room and will definitely get heads turning for a couple of hours at least. Two sprays on my neck and one on the wrist does me for an entire afternoon into evening. This will project out well, as I mentioned above, for a few hours but does move closer to skin after around 4-5 hours - but, even at skin, this stays potent and does not vanish as other fragrances often do. Overall, this is a beautiful scent and is a great way to experience a niche fragrance house for the first time. It’s got a dark, smoky and musky element whilst also having a really rich, appetising vanilla that complements the former so well. A really lovely scent for the cooler months, both days and evenings!

The opening is loaded with saffron and vanilla and cardoman and pepper. Very fizzy! Like a vanilla coke loaded with spices. Strange openig to say the least The fizz lasts about 5 minutes and the initial dry down is reminiscent of Red Tobacco Intense without the tobacco if that makes sense. Its a bit too sweet and sharp for me so I think some maceration will do some good. I get no floral notes at all despite being listed. As it dries, a nice blend of guaiac-oud-vanilla-saffron stays. I love red Tobacco Intense and so much of this reminds me of it. Strip RT Intense of the tobacco and incense and you have nearly Aoud Vanille. They have a lot of note overlap so that isn't surprising. It has good sillage and lasts a long time. I am usually not one for vanilla scents but the spices and guaiac wood make this enjoyable for me. It dries down to a smoked vanilla accord which I really liked. Aoud Vanille went from ok, to like, to love after about 6 hours of wear. For me, its a bit of a one trick fragrance. Definitely for cold and cooler weather. Great evening and special occasion fragrance. Not much past that, and that sits fine with me. Its straight forward smoky vanilla and while my review sounds like I find it a bit average, I actually LOVE this perfume. I enjoyed it from the drydown and Ive worn it a fee more times since my review and enjoy it even more. Maceration definitely helped smooth it out. I really have come to enjoy saffron as a note alot more because of Aoud Vanille. Its very Unisex. The spices do not make this a blind buy safe perfume. Not your typical vanilla fragrance. Its spiced up and not with tobacco. If you enjoy vanilla with a nice twist, Aoud Vanille is great.

Madagascar Vanilla & Oud with Shades-of-Wood - In the first couple of minutes I can feel the saffron-oud and spices, and already the vanilla is swelling through. There's a faintly medicinal vibe here. As the sillage starts to open up, it sheds the medicinal vibe and the vanilla starts to deepen taking on a faintly creamy tone from the sandalwood. Like the notes suggest, I do get more oud in the opening stages, and then it dries down to a gorgeous woody Madagascar Vanilla, while the oud fades to the background. This only gets better with time, both on the skin and in the bottle. This has the characteristic Mancera beast mode performance and wears best in spring through fall, or on chilly nights. Contrast to Shaghaf Oud Swiss Arabian: These are different, but there are similarities with oud and vanilla. Shaghaf Oud is more about the oud-praline with rose, while Aoud Vanille has a very oud-y opening, and dries down more woody-vanilla. Both have beast mode performance. Contrast to Ameer Al Oudh Intense Oud Lattafa: These are different, although there are similarities with oud, vanilla & woods, and I find this more similar to Aoud Vanille than Shaghaf Oud. However, Aoud Vanille is more complex and has stronger performance, with an oud-ier presence up front. Contrast to Oud Vanille Franck Olivier: These are different, but there are again similarities with oud & vanilla. Oud Vanille Franck Olivier is closer to Shaghaf Oud imho, and has strong performance although Aoud Vanille Mancera outperforms. Overall: gorgeous oud, Madagascar Vanilla & woody scent with beast mode performance. It's a love for me. Enjoy!

Very surprised by this! It's my 5th Mancera and I was hoping for a brash Oud & Vanilla duel. However, this stuff is smooth! Definitely unisex, looooong lasting not a huge projector but that's not it's purpose. For me this is an up close in my bubble type perfume. The Oud is detectable but the Guaic wood, Saffron etc smooth it out so it's not skanky, medicinal just a nice smooth vanilla woody fragrance. I do feel something could've been added to this to make it jump out but again i don't think it was crafted for that. Like Red Tobacco & Hindu Kush have their powering notes this is much more subdued, though it is hard to tell it's true projecting. Anyway, for me a nice blend I've tried 10 Mancera and own 5 now this will slip to the 5th spot with these as my top 5 Intense Red Tobacco Hindu Kush Intense Cedrat Boise Sand Aoud Aoud Vanille (Not adding the non Intense versions) This is definitely nice, bottle worthy? Hmm I will sit on it for awhile to determine that but it's not spectacular just a nice smooth vanilla woody perfume. 8/10 - losing a point for versatility (wouldn't wear when it's hot out) and for not having the X factor to make it really jump out though it's a well executed perfume.

This stuff is amazing!!! I've always wanted to find a dark vanilla scent, something a little different from the typical bright vanilla fragrances. You get the mysterious darkness from the oud, yet it has that touch of sweetness from the vanilla. It's slightly smoky in the dry down, almost like toasting vanilla marshmallows over a small campfire. The vanilla used here smells expensive, none of that cheap, sickly sweet vanilla found in budget designer fragrances that doesn't last long. Performance is exceptional, long-lasting, with above-average projection that lasts an entire day. The oud makes it maybe slightly more masculine-leaning, but females could definitely rock this stuff in the same way they can wear Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille. I really love this style of oud accord; it's dark yet beginner-friendly, with no barnyard animalic smell. Not blind buy safe; you must be accustomed to oud accords otherwise you'll be in for a surprise. If you like By The Fireplace by Maison Margiela but want something a little less smoky with some oud, this should be right up your alley! Overall 9/10, full bottle worthy.

This is a more wearable, more modern, smoother, richer, sweater version of montale's dark aoud, if you like dark Aoud's DNA, but would love it to be less dry and smoother, sweeter, Aoud Vanille is the answer. You can think of it like this as well: montale's dark aoud + montale's vanilla absolu = Mancera aoud vanille If you aren't familiar with any of the above, this is a good aoud vanilla combo that has a good sandalwood presence. Warm, cosy, good for winter/fall and early spring. Unisex, leaning masculine. Not syrupy or cloying. Performs very well. Spices compliment the composition but aren't heavy. Can't be compared to montale's Dark Vanilla, they have different characters though share the warmth. Dark Vanilla is far superior, not saying Aoud Vanille isnt good, it is a great fragrance but if I have to choose i would go for dark vanilla any day of the week, until kingdom comes. No floral notes detected. Very pleasant and warm aoud vanilla juice. Great choice if you want an eastern oud vanilla with no rose, raspberry and fruity notes.

I got a newer version with magnetic cap. At first spray, it reminds me right away of Zadig & Voltaire Just Rock for him. JR for him is sharper or smokier, while Aoud Vanille is smoother & creamier in quality due to the saffron. So basically, if you love Just Rock for him, or This is Him by Z&V, you will love this one too. On my skin, I can get a little of Oud, very wearable not as medicinal Oud stated on other reviews. I totally agree this is a dry - sweet masculine scent. Thinking of burnt wood, spices and vanilla making it contrast of both sides: peppery-bitter and creamy-sweet. The opening's very spicy and sharp, you must wait for its dry down after 10 - 15 minutes to let the magic happens. I find this scent quite addictive but suggest you try before buying. Longevity is very good, more than 8hrs and last forever on clothes. Projection & Sillage is very good too, ppl will smell you strong, just lighter the sprays. 9/10

My bottle of Aoud Vanille honestly smelled terrible upon receiving. It was out of season when I got it, so I figured I'd just let it macerate. Fast forward 4 months to the middle of February and I sprayed it again, WOW. Huge difference. At first, it's still kind of off putting. This fragrance really shines HOURS into the life of it. I'm talking like 4-5 hours after you spray it, is when it becomes really beautiful. Don't spray this on something you don't want this fragrance glued too, I have a shirt in my closet that was worn on my recent vacation to Colorado in March 2024, of which I sprayed Aoud Vanille on to match the snowfall in the mountains vibe. I can STILL pick out Aoud Vanille on said shirt, 4 months later. This fragrance could be layered with alot of cold weather fragrances, such as By The Fireplace, Kamrah, or Impact Intense by Tommy Hilfiger.

For the Oud lover!: This is really raw Oud fragrance with faint notes of cardamom and vanilla in the background. You will for sure smell oud throughout each phase. It's Mancera, so you know the projection is STRONG. It will fill the room and last all day. My critique was that I wished Aoud Vanille had more vanilla or more cardamom. I went in expecting more balance with the sweetness on my initial wear. But since I've worn it more I understand and enjoy this fragrance much more now. If wood is your comfort scent then this might be for you. I recommend layering this scent with something else if the Oud is too strong for you. For those testing: If you want a lighter oud with more sweetness there are other gentler options but this is a fragrance you should try before you buy. Scent: 7/10 Performance: 10/10 Value: 7/10 Overall: 24/30

Yooo I love ❤️ Vanilla & I love oud and I love longevity and silliage... this has all 4! I like to put on a fragrance in the morning and have it Last aaaaaaaallllllllll day this does that.....This is great alone or for layering. There is so much I can wear with this to complement some of my faves like .....interlude, ombré leather, Soleil Brulant, oud wood, even Overture would work with this....Definitely no more than 2-3 sprays for a solo wear,,, use 1 spray on upper body if you’re layering it with something and it will be awesome 👏🏽 Fo’ real... you can layer this with the right summer😎☀️🍉 frag like euros flame 🔥....... nice 😊 calming delicious 😋 combination makes me want to find someone to eat me right up!! Ohhh yeah 😲 and a great addition to my collection... i

Finally! an oud perfume that does not smell funky?, do not get me wrong I know that is the smell of oud, but it is nice to see companies playing around with oud & actually doing it right.. without the naturally animalic scent. It is what you expect, oud & vanilla, but not like every other oud perfume, so not strong, annoying, and funky, rather an elegant oud covered with a lot of vanilla but not to the point where it just overpowers the oud, you can still smell the oud, but not an annoying one. I truly do not know what this review is, but the perfume is straight forward as the name is, if you want an oud perfume but do not want the harshness, strong & heavy smell of natural oud, try this one. AS ANY OTHER OUD PERFUME, THIS IS NOT A SAFE BLIND BUY, GET A SAMPLE.

Just got my new bottle yesterday, and on first spray this one really goes with its name. I did smell it before and detected other notes such as the saffron and cardamom, but maybe my bottle needs to macerate a bit before the smell gets to its full potential. Still, even in this state it smells smooth powerful and decently high quality, especially considering the bargain i got this one for during the black friday sales (~65usd for 120ml). Long story short, I love this regardless of the price, but the price makes all the bit better Edit: a few days later and the maceration effect has already hit! Its more smooth and balanced now and the vanilla is more pronounced than before. Safe to say I love it even more now!

I am so fond of this one. It is not like your all time breathtaking beauty or incredibly romantic or sexy. But it is so cosy and warm. I have been wearing it almost every day since I got it a month ago. Respraying it over and over. Layering with other perfumes. Bringing the bottle to my breakfast armchair, in the pocket of my morning gown. Putting it on my arms before I go to sleep. Since I have no fireplace, I use this, while I light some candles and drink my cup of tea or coffee or hot chocolate or golden milk. ( I hope you know - that one with the curcumin, black pepper etc. that is so good for you. 😌 And: on a man, I think it would be really sexy. I would snuggle in his arms. Have to find that man.

Wow! Aoud Vanille is an absolute delight. Its warm and inviting scent blends woods and sweet vanilla with a subtle spicy kick. It’s a perfectly balanced and elegant fragrance. Aoud Vanille starts with a fiery pepper kick, followed by saffron and oud. The oud is pleasant and slightly medicinal, while the vanilla adds sweetness and creaminess. The woody notes give it depth and complexity. Vanilla creates a smoky, almost burnt scent. As hours pass, the blend of vanilla and oud results in a smoky and woody scent. If you enjoy smoky and woody fragrances without excessive sweetness, this is the perfect choice. The fragrance is incredibly powerful and projects well, leaning more towards the masculine.

Dark vanilla and smooth oud. Why isn't this the Mancera everyone is talking about?!? Rising quickly to the top... not only as one of my favorite Mancera's, but one of my favorite fragrances period. The oud and vanilla play in perfect harmony to one another. The yin to the other's yang. The vanilla keeping the oud from becoming overpowering, and the oud keeping the vanilla from getting too sweet and taking over. The vanilla is very intoxicating; not smelling artificial like a candle or cheap body spray. It's dark and rich... Perfect for cooler weather. One spray on each collar bone, and you'll have the most amazing scent bubble and an incredible wearing experience. Rating 9/10

Just blind bought this after a lot of researching reviews. All I can say is Wow!! This is definitely a cool weather scent, but is now one of the highest on my list! For me the opening is a smokey woody almost leathery mix with a creamy warm vanilla poking through. As it drys down the leather accord fades and it left with a woody oud and more vanilla. The longevity on this is amongthe best in my 60 fragrance collection! Highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys a more masculine vanilla scent. Be careful with sprays, if in a close or intimate setting i wouldn’t spray more than 2 sprays. If in outside or spaced out go up to 4 but this fragrance is a Beast!!

Uff love this, this was love at first sniff for me when i sprayed it on paper in store. When i got my bottle the oud came out much skankier and medicinal than when i first tested it but this settles down pretty quickly and after that you get this beautiful creamy vanilla, cardamom and woody notes, the oud goes to the background after like 15-20 minutes. Performance is ok nothing special, doesn't project that much and lasts 6 to 7 hours. Just don't exactly get how people can vote enormous and eternal. Guess i will have to spray more of this juice. But top fragrance in general and it's the only one from this house that i really liked.

To me this a a simple but really appealing fragrance, and my favorite Mancera (and I’ve sampled a lot). It’s a synthetic oud which settles down into a smooth vanilla, leaning masculine. The oud is not for everyone, so it’s not a blind buy, but it doesn’t have the weird rubber smell that some cheaper oud fragrances like Oud for Glory have. I thought this might be a bit challenging for people, but it’s turning out to be a compliment monster. Less nuclear than most Manceras, which to me is a very good thing, but still get compliments at 5 feet away early on. Longevity is good. Bought a full bottle from an discounter after sampling.

Got this one about a month ago, mainly because I was looking for something to replace Tobacco Vanille (used to be my "go-to" for years). I am extremely picky about vanilla fragrances, and I find it extremely hard to get a good quality one. My eyes opened up for this one due to my boyfriend who got "Amore Cafe", which he got obsessed over, and recommended me this one. It is absolutely something I would recommend if you like scents similar to TF's Tobacco Vanille, but this one isn't that spicy compared to Tobacco Vanille. Over all, I would not say that it is a better replacement, but I would absolutely recommend it!

I'm digging this one. A dark, rich, woody vanilla. The oud isn't very funky compared to other oud-heavy fragrances. Almost unisex, but slightly femme leaning in my mind. This is my kind of oud. I much prefer when it's used to deepen certain notes instead of stealing the show and causing headaches with its funkiness. The drydown gives me slightly smoky vibes, but the vanilla sweetness remains. Generally a linear fragrance but sometimes you just want something that does what it says on the tin. Good performance and lifespan. Might be full bottle worthy... Definitely a nice vanilla to have on hand.

MANCERA AOUD VANILLE 9/10/22 Bought an 8ml sample from Mancera. Worn it 5x or more now. It is an amazing, thick, rich scent. Lasts 10-12 hours. Clings to clothes for days!! Decent sillage. Unisex. Great for casual wear. I wore it to the office, and was told I reminded them of their grandmother. Not the compliment I wanted. LOL But I love how I smell when wearing this. This is an underrated gem!! Just too thick for the office. One spray from the sample is enough! DOWNSIDE: I live in a small home...and I can smell this juice EVERYWHERE in my home for days and days. Too strong for my life I think.

I absolutely love the vanilla in this one. A creamy, sweet and very gourmand leaning madagascan vanilla. It is lovely to me. The oud wood definitely offers a nice balance of slight spice and well, woody notes of course lol but I think it works really nicely! However I do think the vanilla stands out a tad more than the oud here. I've seen others say this would be a great layering fragrance and I really have to agree with that. Maybe if you've got something that's too aromatic or dry you could give this a go over it. Projection is decent but definitely nothing nuclear like red tobacco haha.

This is a very unique scent, its inviting and intoxicating and very appealing. Some Mancera fragrances are hard to wear this isn't one of those, this is right up there with Red Tobacco, Aoud Exclusif and Tonka Cola in that this will turn heads and get you compliments. Performance is off the charts, put this on in the morning and in the late afternoon you can still smell it, 12-14hrs which seems to be a standard for Mancera and Montale frags. Give this a try id be surprised if it didn't make it into your rotation, it did mine!

Oh wow, this scent is delicious. The opening was nice and woody, with a little bit of spice. The cardamom and saffron are wonderful; it felt so warm and loving. The dry down is where this scent really shines. It is so gourmand, which I didn't expect. It literally smells like vanilla frosting to me. The most edible surgery vanilla scent I ever smelled, and I really liked it. Mancera always performs well, so this stuff is strong and lasts. I love this fragrance overall a 9/10 so sweet, so delicious, so edible, and so fun.

My most complimented fragrance. Ever. The opening is somewhat harsh, then after a minute or two it settles into a complicated, smoky vanilla that lasts forever and just gets more delicious with every hour that passes. Each time I wear this someone exclaims how incredible I smell. Men in particular seem to love it on women. And in a sea of vanilla fragrances that are churned out relentlessly by the perfume industry, it is unique and high quality. Such a hidden gem.

Bought the Mancera Discovery set and was blown away by Aoud Vanille the first time I smelled it! Pulled the trigger and bought the 120 ml bottle and have been wearing it for Fall and Winter. The first two hours finds the Vanilla duking it out with the Oud where the two fight to be on top, and the smell is amazing! The Vanilla finally wins during dry-down, and stayed on my skin for several hours. A must-have cold-weather fragrance with decent sillage and longevity.

One of my favorite Mancera fragrances - I've used three bottles over the years and it seems to have remained unreformulated, however - I've discovered that this one can indeed "turn" and smells more chemical and harsh when it does. Only one of my bottles have done this - it hasn't been stored improperly, it's that the familiar aoud base that it uses seem to become more chemically pungent and sour over time - it eclipses the vanilla and takes some time to drydown.

The Oud and Black Pepper really helps here. It's warmer than Penhaligon Babylon EDP. If you prefer more citrus then Penhaligon Babylon , Xerjoff Naxos 1861 or Eight and Bob Egypt is for you. But if you want more spice then try this Mancera Aoud Vanille. It's not a Vanilla like Nishane Ani. It's better.

this was love from the first sample, I absolutely adore this scent. it's not too simple and not too complex and if you love woody vanilla scents this is the final boss of this kind of scent type. - the opening is harsh but after 3 minutes it dries down to a beautiful oud vanilla scent. the oud element isn't harsh and vanilla is quite indulging, the spice elements really support the main notes. I will love every single spray of this, can't get enough of it.

Gorgeous beginner's oud fragrance. The warm spiciness opens up with a very potent vanilla which stays on as long as the scent performs and the prominent oud is very smooth and noticeable. I really like the spicy woody drydown of this fragrance since the oud in and of itself gives this a very strong woody smell. The longevity is absolutely amazing, 12+ hours on skin and for days on clothes with a strong sillage that is easily noticeable. Super sexy scent.

My first mancera (and my first oud fragrance) and i am sold! A delicious vanilla with some interesting oud. And as many has stated, its a beginner oud. It dosent come across as «skanky» like many other oud fragrances ive tried. its pleasant, well blended and non-offensive. not something i would personally wear to work, its abit too potent for that in my taste, but a brilliant one for winter evenings and going out. Or for just day to day winter activities

My third purchase from the Mancera house and its a good one. The opening comes off very very woody and at first sniff i wasnt that impressed.The drydown is a different story and it totally changes from the opening and becomes some sort of a chocolate dessert smell which is very pleasent. I personally would catagorize this fragrance as a woody gourmand. As expected with Mancera, Aoud Vanille last for a very long time. Mancera Aoud Vanille 10/10

Lush and sweet vanilla oud that commands attention and makes mouths water. Tested this out with the Mancera Discovery set and wasn’t disappointed. However, it smells too similar to a scent I already own to justify a full-sized splurge just yet. Regardless, Aoud Vanille is an extremely sexy unisex fragrance. Side note: A man wearing this would have me swooning. Longevity: Still going strong at hour 10! Sillage: Strong Overall: 9/10

Brilliant fragrance. its a really nice oud that is great for beginners. Prominent vanilla note and small spices in the background. 100% a winter fragrance. Being the oversprayer i am, first time i sprayed my sample i sprayed 6 times and got a headache so big i nearly threw up. GO LIGHT ON THE SPRAYS. 3-4 sprays max. Ridiculous longevity, performance is kinda like red tobacco. I will be getting this sometime, wonderful dark scent.

I love this on me, and know I'm going to love it just as much - or more - on my guy. It's such a sexy, smoky, spicy vanilla. Beautiful and warm drydown. Leather note makes it easy for someone masculine to wear, while the floral note makes it just as easy for someone feminine to pull off. Longevity is easily 8 hours on my skin, and it's still on my clothing from yesterday. Chef's kiss, and it hasn't even had time to fully oxidize.

We got a decant of cedrat Boise, red tobacco, instant crush and oud vanille. Husband and I prefer oud vanille so we purchased the full size of it. Very well blended and smooth. Just the right amount of oud and vanilla. Sillage and longevity is insane! Even when husband oversprayed it never gets cloying or induced headache. Absolutely love this on him. I have oud mood and raghba and this smells nothing remotely close to them.

This perfume is one of the strongest and longest-lasting from Mancera, and it also leans heavily towards the masculine side. Personally, I adore this fragrance. The strange thing is that I don’t perceive vanilla or at least not the standard vanilla everyone imagines. To me, it’s more of a woody scent, blended with dark chocolate. The perfume is very dense, velvety, and deep. In my opinion, it is exceptionally well-blended.

#138 in my "Tour de Fragrance" After my completely disappointing experience with Mancera Sicily, which I dubbed "water and yellow #5 food coloring" because it was so pathetically weak, this beast mode vanilla bomb is the very first Oud scent I absolutely love and I will buy a full bottle. This stuff is YUMMY, and lacks that wood polish smell you get from most oud scents. Good projection, long lasting and did I say YUMMY!

This is the parfume that i am searching for. I love the oud smell with dark vanila. Somehow i smell metal mixed with smooky powder scent. I love this parfume. The best of mancera and the best of all parfume that i ever had. Best longevity (9 hours on skin in tropical weather; hot and sweety) and 24h in fabric. I would recomend this if u like smooky, metalic and powdery. Great for man and woman.

Smells similar to vanille havane les indemodables. I actualy did side by side test on my wrists and they are really close VH is slightly better tho, smoother blend and a touch more natural. Manceras Aoud has never been the best. Because of the price difference i went with Mancera and dont regret it a bit. I spray inside the jacket on cold winter days. The warm smell helps me fight the cold.

This is a very strong vanilla Oud fragrance the opening caught me off guard a little bit the; the oud smell was quite sharp and the spice and the wood was also very strong. As it settled down It becomes more nice and likable. Not something I would wear, in hot climate this would definitely be cloying. Overall this is a nice woody sweet vanilla fragrance, very strong and intoxicating.

i absolutely adore this scent! i knew it would be my usual since the first time i sampled it. it's sweet without at all being overpowering and my boyfriend suggested it smells like toasted marshmallows. if you're someone looking for a sweet, warm scent (that still seems delicate), this is for you :) if this resonates with anyone i associate this scent with hex code efe0cd :)

safron opening is powerful especially with the oud it mixes with its very woody and dark after afew minutes the vanillia kicks in then It becomes a heavy woody smooth vanillia not too sweet the dry down that lasts for so long floral note almost undetectable its mixes with the safron and it over powers it which is good this is a great winter fall oud vanillia dark fragrance

I bought this from aura fragrance a couple days ago and the smell is incredible—woody, vanillic, and very very slight smoky nuances (def not a smoky frag though) . However, I literally can’t smell it in myself. Idk if aura fragrance watered it down, or if I’m just going nose blind, but it’s so weak. Maybe I need to let it macerate? Idk, help would be appreciated

14 august 2025. I bought this today it is loud long lasting vanilla from the start to the end ! There is a problem with the notes pyramid as you can only smell vanilla from the start to the end may be will be ok if you mix it with something else like coffee notes or wood. So you buying a sweet bottle of vanilla not bad at all if you don't mind very sweet scent.

Starts off with the gasoline ⛽ oud vibe but quickly dries down to smokey woods 🪵 with a delicious vanilla. Imagine MM by the fireplace but much better. Alluring with good performance and projection.
