Black Noir

I like this one. This is a soft, sweet, floral leather. It will go perfectly with a high end sweater and a well made suede jacket, not the bad boy vibe motorcycle style leather jacket fragrance like Tuscan Leather or Gucci Guilty Absolute (these two don't smell alike but give similar vibes to each other in terms of ruggedness). Black Noir is a three season fragrance, fall, winter and spring, once you're in summer you can switch to it's lighter sister fragrance from Montale, Oud Island, which is basically a fresher take on the same scent composition. Black Noir has a calming effect, not a wow effect, think of it as a Ombre Leather Parfum, not EDP approach. My favorite leather frags will include this one alongside Ombre Leather EDP, Montale Oud Leather, PDM Godolphin, and Dunhill Agar Wood, among others. This one however, is maybe my favorite suede scent. Performance is very good, it lasts a long time, but this does not have Red Tobacco, Sauvage Elixir, or Amouage Interlude style of performance, it's a long lasting leather style of performance. No relation to Boss Bottled Absolu, or Boss Elixir (any of them). No grandma vibes unless she's riding big Harley weaving through traffic like a demon, in which case that's fantastic, but even then, probably she'd be wearing Tuscan Leather and not this one.

#650 in my "Your de Fragrance" Film Noir is characterized by pessimism, fatalism and an air of menace. The 1976 version of "Farewell My Lovely" with Robert Mitchum as Philip Marlowe and Charlotte Rampling channeling Lauren Becall is probably my all-time favorite. Noir scents don't invoke those feelings in me but I do like the earthy, musky, smoky character of noir scents, the 180 degree opposite of bright, airy citrus freshies. Mancera has hit it out of the park with this one! Got this as a sprayette to try it out and definitely will be getting a full bottle. This is deliciously leathery, woody, oudy, ambery, like many Mancera scents, but the pink pepper, tiare and vetiver are really what makes this pop! Not boozy like TF Tobacco Oud, or rosy like Noir de Noir, but otherwise shares the nice aspects of each, is long lasting and provides strong projection. So maybe don't inflict it on the carpool. But if you go easy you can get away with this anywhere. Would be great in any outdoor setting. I expect lots of interest and compliments on this one.

Wow! This is definitely going into the fall rotation this year and date night fragrances. Opens up with hints fresh citrusy spicy notes but immediately dissipates into a creamy woody, leather and tobacco with florals in the far background. I definitely get the Oud and it goes together so well with the leather and tobacco notes. However it’s undeniably a leather fragrance through and through. By far one of the more mass appealing Manceras on the market and one id consider a safe blind buy if you like masculine fragrances such as D&G the one edt, Ombré Leather, and DHP. However this is definitely its own fragrance and doesn’t smell like the ones mentioned, they just have a similar style and some similarities. Personally I feel like it’s unisex that without a doubt leans more masculine. These are just my initial thoughts and first impressions. I definitely recommend this one so far though.

Wow... just wow, this was an impulsive blind buy and let me just say this, I don't regret anything. This is one of the best blind buys I've ever had. The moment you spray this, you are greeted by this pleasantly sweet vanilla leathery smell, and as it dries down it gives me that boozy feeling that it's honestly to die for, but that feeling does not last forever though, I wish it did. The boozy-ness starts turning more into a floral smell, kind of as if Ombre Leather and Velvet Orchid by Tom Ford had a baby, that's how I would describe the dry down. Long story short, amazing perfume, 10/10.

Sweet, gentle, dry fragrance... it's like clouds in a bottle. This gives me a powdery feel; the tobacco is dry and very soft with a high dose of vanilla. It’s yummy, like rubbing your face with flavored marshmallows or fluffy vanilla frosting. All in all, it's beautiful and delicious, leaning more towards the feminine side, and that's not a problem for me... I would still wear it and eat myself! Very strange comments below... Boss, Tom Ford, tobacco, leather, oud... bla bla. This fragrance is sweet, dry, and fluffy to the MAX... I love it... perfect before bedtime! 🧁🍦🍡🛏🌛🌠☁️
