Black Prestigium

So this one was a blind-buy for me, when I had to decide between this and Black Aoud from Montale. And even if people said that these two are similar, if you smell them long enough you'll see that these two are quite different. (Just my humble opinion after I tried both.) Back to this fragrance, first time when I took a sniff I had barely liked it. Yes, it have that powdery, lipstick smell at the very beginning but after it dries down ths will be tames by the rose and the oud. In the first day when this one arrived I wasn't sure if I will keep it or return it. But I'm patient and this can be a really good thing. After a time, I gave it another try and then I really felt that this is a very complex fragrance, that can be a little trick for the noses that are at the beginning of the journey in this fantastic world of fragrances. A few months later, I'm sniffing the cap of the bottle almost every day to be impressed by this beauty. Sure, it's not a very masculine smell in occidental culture, but you can definetely feel that this is a very rich, elegant and refined fragrance that suits a gentleman, which I like to consider myself. (Not saying this with pride, just my natural kind of being) Moreover, this is a very potent piece of art, lasting very, very long time on skin, due to it's oily concentration, splendid to wear on formal events or closed meetings with your besties or lover. See for yourself after you apply it on your skin. Finnaly, even if it's not the cup of tea of everybody, you should really try this one, because Mancera is offering you a beautiful, very potent, not really expensive perfume of high ingredients, that it's above a lot of other niche houses, for me at least. Just be patient. But hey, this is just my humble opinion. Peace for everyone !

Extremely similar to Montale's Red and Black Aouds, but I find it a tad bit better than both. You also get a solid glass bottle with nice design and 20ml more juice in it. Dark, unisex leaning masculine, more fitting to mature and experienced noses, as orris root note isn't for everyone. First 5-10 minutes can be a little bit harsh to some noses, but after that it evolves into a glorious scent. In colder weather is where it shines, and man oh man it shines brightly! Performance is excellent, but that's to be expected with most Mancera products. Bottle worthy for sure, probably my next Mancera purchase (it'll be number 18th). Update: After allowing myself more time to get to know the parfume sample I must say that its similarities with Montale Black & Red Aoud end after the first hour or so. After that Black Prestigium develops into much richer and luscious scent, so potent yet gentle to the nose. The perfume covers you like a scented blanket in a cozy long-lasting hug, without being suffocating. It's an extremely well blended creation, actually I could go as far as to say it's the perfume with the most refined and luxurious drydown that Mancera has in their catalog. I would definitely encourage people to try it and actually do multiple wearings before making a decision, as it's the type of scent that grows on you with time. It's a journey, an experience, a "getting to know you" in a way. Needless to say a full bottle is already on its way to me.

Here’s my update; yes this thing absolutely still stands as a masterpiece. Legitimately. Amouage is my favorite house by far, and this perfume FITS in an amouage bottle. If the oud was real/higher quality, it would fit in the library collection. This has some very earthy and chocolatey patchouli and a gorgeous rose jam/sweet woody oud. If this had Amouage’s Assam Oud from the silver oud/king blue bottles, I think this would be the greatest perfume ever made. Performance is scary... 1 spray and even then you’re pushing it. You have to seriously be careful with how strong this perfume is. It’s delectable in the air. Rose-like and powdery, sweet and woody, chocolately and earthy, a touch earthy and addictive. This is GORGEOUS. It’s stronger than red tobacco, better blended than most niche perfumes, and insanely well priced although it’s a bit hard to find. I haven’t touched my manceras in months because I think so may of the are so poorly blended and synthetic. (I’ve sold 8 already) but black prestigium is one that deserves to stand with the Amouage’s and the Zoologists in my collection. 9.9/10. I’m gonna layer it with silver oud and write a review soon. The only drawback is that the materials used to perfume this are the tiniest bit synthetic but only in the initial opening. Besides that, it’s very high quality

Just received a 2ml sample. Sprayed twice on my arm. Two minutes later I finished ordering a full bottle. 80$ for 120ml of this ?! So far it gives a churchy vibe (in a good way), maybe due to the oud and rose combo. Will come back with a full review. LE : ok, coming back to this after a few full wears at ~ 18-20 degrees Celsius. it's a bit linear, in comparison to Red Tobacco. It's a bit less powerful, longevity & projection wise , but is still a beast. it passed my 3 hour bike ride test, it was still projecting in my face afterwards, and kept feeling it throughout the night. I still maintain the "churchy" vibe opinion. the rose-oud combination is masterfully blended. the leather is best coming out towards the end of its lifespan, when it starts becoming a "skin" scent. it does become very slowly and constant. as a skin scent, reaches 24h easily, from the time of use. this is the most elegant and suit-worthy fragrance I ever smelled. it's sublime, dark, alluring yet not a mass pleaser. scent : omg/10 longevity : 6 hours with good projection, then it SLOWLY eases | 1-2 days on clothes with noticeable projection projection : ~ 6 feet people that are comparing this to a mere creation of Dior might need more time with this fragrance. it's an insult. easy on the atomizer, btw :D

Holy shit. This is my signature scent I think. It’s my first real signature, and I have 200 bottles already. Zoologist camel had come close, and I thought that montales red aoud was it, until I found this. I just blind bought it based on the supposed similarity between red aoud and oh my gosh. Take red aoud’s gourmand funnel cake and sweet jammy rose. Keep that same sweet and woody western-style oud, and keep the same chalky orris (black prestigium has more rose and orris than red aoud, but the same kind in both) and then add the most beautiful, earthy and dark patchouli. The leather gives this a more masculine touch, and it’s that red aoud scent DNA perfected. (I still think red aoud is a 10/10, don’t worry) but black prestigium is the epitome of a sweet and seductive POWERHOUSE. Strongggg. 16 hours longevity, large large projection, smooth, jammy, sweet, orris heavy, woody, perfect. This will not be for everyone though and you have to understand that. So don’t overspray (1-3 sprays for a full wearing and I’m not kidding) and make sure that the people around you won’t mind some powder. In the air, this can come across baby powdery (but not to me). 10/10 smell, 10/10 performance, 4/10 versatility.

I’m trippin on the reminds me of. Dior L Homme and Mystery Tobacco. What the hell ??? Nahh more like Ombre Nomad. Or Calgon take me the fuck away. Because I pick up rose and oud. Don’t beat me up I haven’t read the notes and my nose is fried. I’ve been on a Mancera field day here. Damn ! This shit performs like a mother fucker . I mean really, I have Tonka cola , wood wind and this side by side right now. It’s over shadowing . Tonka is out the race. Wood wind is still in. But Black is way ahead right now in performance. Usually when I smell rose and oud like this I cringe and I say oh no not again. But something about this is drawing me in. Maybe it’s the longevity. There’s something I find masculine about it that makes me want to wear it. But I wouldn’t say it’s masculine. It’s unisex. A woman could pull this off. Oh yea. She sure could. I’m confused as a mother fucker right now because normally I’d be hating this redundant dna. But I like it. It’s clean and long lasting. It’s rose and oud for sure. Think I like it better than Ombre Nomad. About the time you think it should wear off it smells it’s best. The Dry down is insane. I need more time with it.

Nothing like Dior homme beside the fact there is a orris note , and here the orris note is more of the earthy kind of orris , very beautiful orris one of my favorites. It’s very dark masculine with this earthy orris beautiful leathery nuances with this nice animalic bite that’s give it this beautiful edge to the fragrance all of that is wrapped up in that orris that starts earthy to a nice earthy powdery vibe . To me this is a masterpiece. And I don’t love a lot of fragrances. I may just like a lot of fragrances but to love something it has to make me say wow and this does that every time I wear it . I truly believe this is one that if you get it, you get it and you will find it amazing and if you don’t get it, you might not like it but it’s worth trying.. ps I get major compliments with this when I layer with Feu secret my god they go together soooo well . And random ppl around me seem to agree aswell. Feu secret makes that orris shine even more and it adds this waxy / dry / buttery component that’s is so beautiful. Thank me later !!

It is a beast it changes frequently I really like this one. It is not an everyday scent it is more formal or date night. It is floral, woodsy, sweet and that orris I really like. It does smell expensive and sophisticated I got compliments first time I wore it. Do Not I repeat do not spray more than 3 times it will choke people out. It is unisex but it leans more masculine in my opinion. Out of my favorite scents for a night out this is one of them. It is not designer type it is very different but it is very wearable if you choose the right occasion. My Manceras so far (aoud lemon mint, black prestigium, gold prestigium, precious oud, aoud violet, silver blue, wind wood, aoud cafe, cosmic pepper, Cedrat Boise, Cedrat Boise intense) most have a more masculine side at least on my skin. I have compared it to Dior Homme Intense 22 formulation. They are on the same realm but they are different even if both are great I prefer Dior Homme Intense.

Nose Note #979 Oh, what a wonderful mens iris + rose scent! Don't know about Dior Homme Parfum, but don't expect anything particularly similar to Dior Homme Intense besides it having a strong iris note. The main difference is of course a very very prominent rose. At this point I'd say this a rose note typical of Pierre Montale - a sour honey rose similar to Black Line and Gold Intensive Aoud. Rose and iris fight for dominance here. I can't dive much deeper than iris and rose, beyond this it just smells sort of dark, it's showing elements of some other flowers, slight spiciness, the base is definitely leathery sort of like Dior Fahrenheit. Unisex leaning masculine - the rose and iris are definitely not the most masculine notes. It's pleasantly strong, but I wouldn't call it "eternal" at all. Strong like a typical Mancera. 8/10, really interesting. Can't remember another scent that would have both a strong iris and a strong rose

What a beautiful elegant scent! Very middle eastern rose oud. Initial spray you get a strong rose presence. If you dont like a strong rose note, move on from this one. The rose, Orris, Violet has a powdery rose but its not a typical powder, its subtle and really compliments the earthy wood of the patchouli and oud. This is such a well blended fragrance. The patchouli dries down to a chocolately scent. The rose note to my nose is Damascus or Moroccan rose, a spicy and sweet floral. The later dry down has a wonderful rose musk foundation. The sillage is strong and longevity is excellent. I would say its unisex and for men accustomed to wearing rose perfumes. This would easily work for a mens fragrance in the middle east. Its a great evening and special events scent geared towards cool and colder weather. Mancera is my favorite perfume house but Black Prestigium really stands out. It is extremely sophisticated and seductive.

When I smelled this for the first time as a sample. it was like a classy old woman wearing fur and heavy earrings in my face, not for me! But then it happend, something made me want to smell it again, and again. I gave it a try on my skin and I had to smell my wrist like every 10 minutes. its so addicting and the scent changes all the time. A lot of roses and incense, very powdery and addicting. This is one for the special occasions and definitely not your everyday scent. Don't overspray! It is overwhelming like having a whole Arabian market with you all the time. so half a spray will do the job. It stays in your clothes forever until you wash them. I don't think I will finish this 120ml bottle in my lifetime so a small bottle will do. What a gem to have in your collection for that special night that you want to remember or just to sniff the cap now and then.

Okay so this one's pretty much like an atomic bomb on my skin. its been 13 hours since I sprayed it(2 sprays), and im still getting whiffs of this moster. id recommend not blind buying, but i did since ive smelled black oud, red aoud, and black to black. as far as the scent is concerned, its an acquired taste. i love it, and ive gotten a lot of compliments for this one. the iris in this reminds of the iris prada lhomme has - only the irism nothing else. did not get DHI vibes from this that much. very dynamic, and changes a lot. i like the changes it goes through. very well blended ingredients. smells premium and opulent. Update: After 23 hours, i was still getting beautiful whiffs of this fragrance. performance is 11/10. projection is insane. i would recommend this only for cold winter nights. 1 spray is alright. 2 sprays max

I recently picked up Mancera Black Prestigium and I am absolutely blown away. This fragrance is dark, mature, and incredibly elegant, exactly the kind of scent I have been searching for. It carries a similar mysterious vibe to Tom Ford Black Orchid, but it feels more refined, more polished, and ultimately more sophisticated. Projection is perfect and longevity is amazing. I had Red Tobacco before, but on my skin this one actually projects even more, which makes it stand out as truly powerful. What I love most is how it balances depth with elegance. It has that bold, commanding presence without being overwhelming or chaotic. To me, it smells like confidence in a bottle. This has instantly become my new favorite fragrance and my signature scent. For me, it is a perfect 10/10.

Besides the notes listed on Fragrantica, Mancera's website declares Incense and Spices. Not animalic like Aoud Exclusif, not nuclear like Black Aoud / Red Tobacco, and certainly smoother and more wearable than any of those fragrances. It's still a very long lasting and strong EDP (especially during the first 30 minutes), so be careful with the number of sprays. It combines healthy doses of powdery Iris (with some Carrot nuances) and chocolatey/earthy Patchouli with Oud, Rose and Spices. Although I wear what I like, whenever I can, this is a mature evening fragrance well suited to cool and cold weather. It may not be for everyone, but if you like Iris, Oud, Patchouli and Rose, with some spicy accords, give it a testing.

complex, deep rich woods/iris/leather/amber. the dry down retains the complexity of early and middle stages while top and middle notes have a second life over the wearing. my skin brings out the sharp notes in the mix so that the iris is never powder but a sweet leather. not surprised that many find it feminine as, yes, it seems to me all gold silks and dark russet velvet. no vanilla at all. strong iris with amazing woody amber. even the violet/rose/oud work here as support of the main players. i wear it on formal occasions and often in winter. not light hearted and has seemed too complex for summer days; rather, is grounding and sumptuous

Not at all like Black Aoud like others have said, that is ridiculous. More akin to Red Aoud, albeit without the cookie/gourmand vibe. Powdery oris, slight oud, leather and musk. All that being said, this is a stunning fragrance...intense yet calm, projects like a beast and lasts eons. I can see how others consider this a formal scent, but if you go easy on the trigger, it can be used everywhere/anytime. A warm, sensual blanket that coats everything. Is it unisex? Yes, though it leans masculine to me. I actually can't imagine a woman wanting to wear this. One of Mancera's best outings. Top three for sure. 10/10

The opening is strong and kind of a mess. Probably not the most pleasant to most people you would come in contact with, but I find it great. Oud, rose, powdery, other florals but a strong woodiness keeps it from going feminine. It is a little synthetic and screechy initially. The dry down, however is heavenly. The florals move to the front and mix with the woods for a fantastic masculine, woody floral fragrance that does have some similarity to Dior Homme Perfume but smoother and more complex. I love it, but I recommend spraying early and let it settle for an hour or so before venturing out.

Amazing. Maceration After 6 months made It more Natural. When i buy It It smells like acrylic in the opening. Now It smells like talc with oud and rose incense Stick. Clean but not like conditioner white musk. Its not very fecal compared to kemi by xerjoff. The oud Is like and Ash tray that you dont clean from a while. The musk and the rose makes It elegant, leaning to masculine. Longevity: 12+ h Sillage duration 4-6 h Sillage area: 4-6 m Safe blind buy. Would rebuy It. Versatile for every occasione. Personal vote 9/10 because i use It in layering, miss some uniqueness

Powerful and dark, it opens to orchestral excesses. Wonderfully blended, controlled, and of course, of high quality. After an hour of a spritz, the woody notes remained too strong for me. But then, it settled into a powdery cosy rose. Again that grandiose Mancera touch that I love so much. Reminds me of Aramis Calligraphy Rose which is surprisingly affordable though discontinued and made with high quality ingredients. Check it out as an affordable alternative. I give it an 8 out of 10 because it's not linear at all but does an oriental dance. Staying power too.

It straight up smells like black oud I own both and I’m not one of those that that smells a oud rose combo and thinks they all smell the same. all those that voted no on Blk oud are either trolling or have snorted so much Cocaine that they destroyed their sense of smell... however there’s a bit more Sophistication to it and I think it changes more than black oud, I think the only reason to have both would be if you collect. But they are really really good and I love them both.

This is a masterpiece. Love at first sight or sniff. I don't know why Tobacco is not mentioned in the notes as I get a lot of it in a very pleasant way. It reminds me of the chewing tobacco my grandmother used to get flavored with very addictive fragrances of Rose and musk. I was a bit reluctant to buy this reading the mixed reviews but man was I in for a surprise. It is also a beast when it comes to projection and is definitely something very different.

After a week of smelling and wearing this scent I can definitely say that this is one of the best in my whole collection. I didn’t like it in the first place and regret I bought it blind. But I cannot live without anymore. This is quality, the longevity is beyond. I love the powdery lipstick smell. I do combine it with flowery body lotion and flowery deodorant. It smells a bit more feminine and softer and more powdery 9/10

The leather is so smooth that layering It with on top guilty absolute pour homme It exalt the leatr, Woods and bergamot in a fresh and warm way, like a blanket exposed tò a White musk incense fresh from the washing machine. This is unlike any fragrance I've ever smelled. The orris root is definitely prominent in this one. Longevity is eternal and sillage is enormous. It's extremely unique and it's hard to describe exactly what I'm smelling. 8.5/10. After having this a few weeks the orris root has toned down. I don't know why but when orris root is in a fragrance it's basically all I can smell.

intoxicating scent. Really beautifull. I can see why some will find this harsh, but give this one a few wearings. It was a blind buy based on Youtube and Fragrantica, and I don't regret it. It's an addictive scent, go easy on the atomizer, 2 sprays will do it. Lovely scent from Mancera, strange that this one is not more widely known.

At the opening I get a blast of carroty oris enveloped in a cloud of powdery florals. The leather comes in a little later, it’s not unlike Shalimar but without the gasoline note. I like this one and because it’s not as assertive as some of the other Mancera offerings, it’s probably a wearable every day winter choice.

very close to black to black by mancera...cousins i would say. potency is out of this world, bottle is regal.if you love rose, oud and saffron with pepper...this is it....if you own black to black you wont need this.i recommend it to winter heavy country users and mature noses 10 for the quality of a niche perfume

Oh my goodness, I absolutely adore these fragrances! They're the epitome of elegance and sophistication, perfect for any formal occasion. But let me tell you, I also love to wear them at home just to soak in the delightful aroma. It's like a little slice of heaven in my own space. Simply scrumptious!

This is a much more sophisticated version of Black Aoud. A bit sweeter, less sour, more complex. This scent is very dynamic, changes every 2 hours. Drydown is similar to Armani Eau de Nuit Oud but a bit darker. Very good for colder weather, winter evenings.

This is beautiful dark perfume, soir going out at night if you fan of tom ford black orchid and black oud or black to black this goes same line with slight differences but same outcome. I love dark perfume suits me as old man not suitable for young folks .

I blind bought this in a small bottle from Mancera. I love it just not at first. It settles down to a beautiful can’t describe scent. A rich fabric sheet perhaps. Strong enough and it lingers, many compliments. Knock yourself out and try it.

Mancera Black prestigium is the strongest mancera I have. Really good for autumn and winter. Scent: 8-10 Projection: 8-10 Longiverty: 9-10 Projection: 4-5 hours Longevity: 12-15 hours This is my personal experience

This is like addiction for me. I wan to sniff every 5 minute of my self. Pure love. When I wanted to enjoy the perfume this is my love.... Amazing scent with killer performance. One of my favourite from Mancera.

Black Prestigium Addendum to my review Definitely Calligraphy Rose by Aramis. Very similar drydown. Great lasting power. It's too pricy for what it is. Still and all, a comfortable grande dame feel to it.

This is different, if you like Xerjoff richwood, take a look at this as they both have that dark powdery wood note. Not a copy, but similar vibes. Not bad, if you can get over the super strong opening

This is essentially Dior Homme Parfum with a dominant rose. The combination is fantastic and addictive. It is super strong and lasts 12 hours. Overall one of my favorite Manceras!

This could easily be one of the best leather perfume in the scent industry. After Chergui of course. Powerful yet soft. Tempting and captivating. Royal to the extreme. Keep it.

Powdery, glorious orris root and violet. Smooth patchouli, almost boozy rose. Sugary wood, amber, and musk. Very feminine. Absolutely lovely!

RUINED! This used to be a nice masculine iris with rose and petrol leather...now it's simply bombastic baby powder. Garbage!!

Luxuriousness in a bottle 😚👌

Based on reviews below and a couple of YouTube videos, I decided to buy MBP blindly expecting it to be an expectacular fragrance. With patchouli, wood, Oud, leather, and amber I was expecting this juice to be very manly and a dark scent powerhouse. Also I expected MBP to be non-linear. Instead what I got was a linear flowery/leather composition. I was told the opening had a big blast of bergamot (a bright and refreshing bergamot hit at the top is always welcome in introducing dark fragrances). But none of it. I was immediately hit by a dark Arabian/Turkish rose accompanied by violet and orris, and just a little sweetness from the amber. No patchouli, no musk, no Oud (huge dissatisfaction here), just a very faint woody note (a sandalwood accord that only lasted for the first hour), and leather (this I detected, a soft and easy-going one which I was pleased with because I generally don't like heavy leather scents). The amber died down after 1 hour. And that is pretty much how it remained for the duration which is what a good EDP lasts on me (6-8 hours, but certainly no 17 hours with heavy scrubbing at shower time to remove It as I heard on one of the YT videos available at the time of this review). The big stars here are the rose, the orris, and the leather, with the violet adding a little side flavor. I wish I had smelt more Oud, woods, amber, and patchouli. I also wished the bergamot opening would have been more noticeable. Mancera classifies this perfume as a masculine one, but I found this composition to be a little the feminine side, smelling like a brand new leather purse most of the time. I had to spray it 7 times (1 on each side of the neck, 1 on the back of the neck, 2 on the chest, and 1 on each wrist) to get the 8 hours performance when I was told by a couple of people that anything more than 3 sprays would be lethal. Well, thank God my sister liked the rose/iris/violet/leather combo here (which is all she also got), because I would have lost my $160 dollars watching the bottle go to waste on my dresser. At least she is enjoying it. Happy Christmas sister!

After reading tons of lyricall reactions from people all over the internet, i decided to blind buy this. This came in today and i am very sad en disappointed!!! I do not like this scent. I don't know what it is, the leather, the iris root or the animalic scent. I wore it today, to give it a chance, and to set down a bit, because the beginning is very very strong. But even after 5 hours it makes me sick. God its so strong!!! Man!!! 1 spray only, like everyone says. The drydown is even worse than the powdery lipstick smell at the beginning. This is an old lady - old man scent, and somehow it made me feel dirty and used. I do not feel good with this, just want to wash it off immediately and spray my favorite Pearl or Gold Intesitive Aoud to feel clean and light again. If this is your thing, the leather animalic powdery vintage thing (reminds me of shalimar) than this is a great buy, it would last a lifetime. The projection and sillage is absolutely Beastly. GODDDDD!!!!! I even cant even wash it off. After taking a shower i still smell this on my skin. My god!! Do not blind buy this if you are younger than 35 years. -------‐--------------------- Edit: i dont know why, but i keep sniffing the bottle? I really want to understand why this is addictive, this erotic smell?! ‐--------------------------- Edit again (after two days) I'm in love. This is beyond any levels.. you need time to appreciate this one. BTW is spray this in my hair and clothes (not directly on the skin) and on my clothes it stays quite lineair. For me that's a plus because I like the powdery roses scent at the beginning.

First time I smelled Black Prestigium, it made me think of Black Aoud, but with a powdery note from orris root. Opens very powdery and dark, the orris root is quite nice in this combination, makes the perfume more floral and gives it a little more unisex style. The oud and patchouli are more like at the base of the perfume and it's not as dark as Black Aoud. Also the Orris note comes wuite earthy and makes a nice combo with the patchouli. I get some vanilla sweetness after the perfume settles down on my skin and it makes it a little cozy and easier to wear, but still a winter/spring perfume from my point of view. The performance is great, not as strong as Black Aoud, but its still good. 3-4 sprays and you're good to go, 7-8 sprays if you wanna choke ppl. I own Dior Homme Parfum and to be honest, Black prestigium didn't really have similarities, I keep searching sniffing them both, but nope. But the iris from Presigium is a little like the one from DHI, dusty and a little vanilla. If you want this perfume because it has similarities with DHP or DHI, don't buy it, you'll be disappointed. Edit: Overall it's really nice, I like it

#490 in my "Tour de Fragrance" I like this one quite a bit more than the more citrusy Gold Prestigium, though I like them both. This is a darker, more oudy and woody scent, but one of my younger female friends branded this "grandma juice" because of the rose and violent florals. When that creamy-skinned young goddess makes such a pronouncement I know this won't be a bottle buy for me, regardless of whether or not I like it. So glad this is a sprayette from Twisted Lily and I'm only out $6.99. I actually thought the rose adds to the scent instead of detracting, but I don't wear scents for my enjoyment alone. The orris root smells different to different people, but for me it add a suede lean to the leather note. And this scent is definitely long lasting and projects, so I wouldn't wear this for anything other than night moves, and then I'd go very light. I definitely would not blind buy this. With scents like this I often find that midday I really don't want to smell it any more. But you're gonna smell this way beyond. So I'd do what I did and get a decant to be sure this is something you can happily wear.

Very nice review by Das Huffer. I kind of agree with it "leaning to a feminine side" this fragrance seems to have but it surprisingly doesn't annoy me. I usually fancy stronger perfumes and actually picked this one over Wild Leather which also deserves a review. The softness of the powdery-violet note on top of amber & musk is discreet enough to bring delicate warmth without being too sweet. No wildness here, the leather note is completely tamed. What stroke me on the finish is that every scent in Black Prestigium gets together in a perfectly balanced and dosed out ensemble. This perfume evolves a lot with time: Rose, "spicy" patchouli, light earthy notes... swirling around the classic Montale/Mancera oud touch. Average longevity, nice sillage, not too strong. It has a sort of comforting coherence without being too deja vu. Could be a quieter version of Montale's Starry Night on the drydown. Black Prestigium possesses a maturity feel in a distinguished and manly manner. Edit: I finally bought Wild Leather which deserves its own review... Combining both is definitely a great mix!

The moment I smelled it, I immediately got reminded of Dior Homme Line. This is a verryyyyyyy powdery scent with a rocky "a bit off-putting" opening for the first 3 minutes because you get a heavy animalic undertone but luckily it fades a little and you will be left with a lot of "Powder" or "Baby Powder". Also gets a little MakeUp/Lipsticky vibe from the orris but I love that a lot. At first I didn't like it but I am ok. Definitely only for elegant occasions cuz you will look stupid wearing this casually and people will not be impressed, so suit it up. Performance is great, typical Mancera. Edit: that funk didn't disappear throughout the life of it, so I will pass on it.

i get a papery/carrot-y orris root with rose in the beginning, followed by a hint of patchouli. then the oud comes in. wafting from afar it smells like a softer rose oud. up close it's that with a strong dose of dry orris root. later it gets way more powdery as the violet amps up. i am not sure what to think of this one.....i like all these notes but usually separate. it's interesting to see a rose/oud with a lipsticky/powdery violet. will have to retry. when i retried i liked it a lot more. it's a powdery rose/iris mostly. not a lot of strong oud, it's more subtle, and the leather is suedey. i am really liking this one a lot now and it's good for cooler weather.
