Cedrat Boise

After eyeing this for a long time and finally getting my bottle, all the hate reviews are honestly surprising. I got a newer mag cap bottle and this is really good stuff. I'm not sure how much batch variation Cedrat really has, but my juice is quite fruity and citrusy off top. The wood also shines through quickly. On first smell, the wood was particularly noticeable, with the cedar giving its characteristic "pencil shavings" accord from my skin. Be it from my nose acclimating or from my bottle "masturbating" the rougher edges of this have noticeably smoothed out for sure though (my bottle also has visible particles that have formed that seemed to have settled on the bottom, as I've noticed them more, the smell seems better to me so I won't complain tbh). As it dries down, the darker aspects of the fragrance start to peek through, but not as extremely to my nose as it does for other reviewers. The smoke and leather seem to be dominant accords for others, but for me they sit firmly in the background with the patchouli and the rest of the base notes, giving Cedrat Boise a lovely dark and masculine heart that is also sweet, fresh, and smooth from the vanilla, musk, and sandalwood respectively. This combines with the citrus, woods, and fruit of the middle and top in quite the gorgeous manner. While I wouldn't describe this as linear, the citrusy top of Cedrat actually persists throughout its longevity. It feels as if the base and middle notes gradually reveal themselves and settle into the overall scent rather than replace the top notes. If I had to describe Cedrat Boise as a whole, imagine eating an orange dreamsicle in a cedar forest with leather gloves on while a small forest fire burns distantly. I believe I've seen another reviewer describe it as eating smoked Fruit Loops with a cedar spoon from a leather bowl and I would say that's strikingly on the money too. I'm not typically a big leather fan at all, but in Cedrat Boise I've found an exception because the note simply works perfectly here. Performance is also spectacular, I can pick this up for around 12 hours on skin, I'd say 5-6 feet of projection for 3-4 hours before this will gradually wane through the drydown. Cedrat is really versatile, I'd wear it to work, school, a date, the club, etc. I would be very mindful of sprays however, this could choke somebody out with a spray too many at the office. Good day or night year round besides really cold weather. This gets a lot of comparisons to Aventus, and while I would say they're in the same family, this is more like Aventus's brighter, more citrusy cousin than it is Aventus's brother. My bottle of CDNIM Extrait feels darker, smokier, and in a different vein of fruity and woody than this. Not redundant imo. Cedrat is loud, but also feels well blended to my nose ( the scent in the air is particularly lovely; off skin up close can be a bit strong) so I would say this is a high quality buy for the price you can get at discounters. I would also describe the Aventus DNA as being a pinch more mass appealing to the degree that it feels designer (I mean this as a compliment in the highest sense). But Cedrat is still a versatile, easy reach that guys around 20+ can pull off readily, and I would still call it highly mass appealing. Don't listen to the hate or hype comments, get a decant and see how you feel. I was hesitant to buy this given other reviews, but 10/10 for the price, and this would be a lovely introduction to niche fragrances for many people. For me, Cedrat Boise is a complex fragrance that is easy to love and wear.

Most people have compared this perfume to Aventus by Creed. However, if you look closely, this perfume does not smell like pineapple. It has a very mild fruity scent, and if you look closely, you can also detect a very mild smoky and barbecue like scent, which I can say is a trace of this company in its product. The presence of this very mild barbecue scent like, in my opinion, separates this perfume from many warm season perfumes that are only fruity or citrusy and freshness. This one introduces a different aspect of perfume for warm seasons: 1 warm note in perfume for warmer sessions, so in this reason, it is a famous perfume in the world. Personally, I like perfumes with a smoky, oud, or barbecue scent. But these types of perfumes are not suitable for warm seasons and are too heavy for these seasons. However, despite having a barbecue feel, this perfume has kept the amount of this note at a level that it is not heavy at all for warm seasons and does not deprive lovers of this fragrance from not feeling the relevant note in these warm seasons. You may be wondering that this perfume doesn't smell like barbecue at all. I agree with you! I have worn this perfume many times, 2-3 puffs on my skin, and I didn't get this barbecue-like feeling from the perfume at all. But if you spray this perfume on both your skin and your clothes; you will notice this scent about 15 minute later on your clothes. Overall, I think that because of this very mild barbecue scent, it may not be a good option for beginners who just want a citrusy, fruity, and refreshing fragrance for the warm seasons of the year. But for someone who has mastered perfume notes and has been in this science for at least a year; it can be a good and different option for the warmer seasons of the year. اکثر مردم این عطر رو با عطر اونتنوس از شرکت کرید مقایسه کرده اند. در حالیکه اگر با دقت بررسی کنید؛ این عطر بوی صرف آناناسی ندارد. بوی میوه ای خیلی ملایمی دارد که شما اگه دقت کنید در کنارش یک بوی دودی و باربکیویی بسیار ملایم رو هم حس میکنید که شاید بتونم بگم یک رد پای این شرکت در محصول خودش هست. وجود این رایحه ی باربکیویی بسیار ملایم به نظرم این عطر رو از خیلی از عطرهای فصول گرم سال که فقط میوه ای یا سیتروسی صرف هستد؛ جدا کرده و شاخه ای متفاوت از عطرهای فصول گرم سال رو معرفی کرده خود من به شخصه از عطرهایی با بوی دود؛ عود و یا باربکیو خیلی خوشم میاد. ولی این گونه عطرها مخصوص فصول گرم سال نیستند و برای این فصول خیلی سنگین هستند. ولی این عطر با وجود داشتن حس باربکیویی؛ میزان این نت رو در حدی نگه داشته که اصلا برای فصول گرم سال سنگین نمیشه و دوست داران این رایحه رو از حس نکردن نت مربوطه در این فصول گرم؛ محروم نمیکنه. یک علتی هم که این عطر در دنیای عطرهای تابستانی خیلی شناخته شده و معروف هست میتونه به همین علت باشه که با اکثر قریب به اتفاق عطرهای تابستانی دیگر به علت همین نت گرم که در فصل گرم سال در آن استفاده شده؛ متفاوت کرده شاید شما این سوال در ذهنتون شکل بگیره که این عطر اصلا بوی باربکیویی نداره. من هم با عقیده ی شما موافقم! بارها این عطر رو در حد ۳-۲پاف روی پوست پوشیده ام و این حس باربکیو مانند رو اصلا از عطر نگرفتم. ولی اگر شما هم بر روی پوستتون و هم روی لباستون این عطر رو اسپری کنید؛ حدود 15 دقیقه بعد از اسپری کردن بر روی لباس متوجه این نت بویایی خواهید شد. در مجموع به نظرم به خاطر این بوی باربکیویی بسیار ملایم شاید برای افراد تازه کار که فقط میخواهند یک عطر مرکباتی ؛ میوه ای و صرف فرش و سرحال کننده برای فصول گرم سال رو داشته باشند؛ شاید گزینه ی مناسبی برای خرید کورکورانه نباشه. ولی برای کسی که به نتهای عطر تسلط داره و یک سال حداقل هست که در این علم وارد شده؛ میتونه گزینه ای مناسب و متفاوت برای فصول گرمتر سال باشه

This is, along with the similar-but-not-the-same Bois Imperial by Essential Parfums, as close to a must-own in any perfume collection as you are ever likely to find today. The killer combination of properly refined fresh blending, high quality accords, solid performance and an absolute steal of a value proposition in terms of price makes this incredibly compelling. Let start with the scent. It is a citrus-first fresh fragrance over a sweet and floral mid and a rich woody base. There is nothing here that is breaking any new ground. It is very well done though. The top citruses are not over-sweet. There is a focus on the usual bergamot we would expect to see and the lemon makes it fresher but also more tart. The blackberry accord in it is very faint and serves only to stop the top notes from just smelling like lemon hand wipes, which it does very effectively. I don't see mint in the notes but the bergamot is so fresh and zingy that it evokes the feel if not the smell itself of a tiny bit of peppermint in the top. There is a bit of vanilla and some musk in the base that smooths things over and the base woods are a bit smokier than you might normally find for your common garden variety sandalwood accord. The spices supposedly in the top notes are much more apparent in the drydown across the middle. There is a bit of leather in it too which I enjoy a lot as it pulls the musk, wood and vanilla together in a nice way, stopping it from coming across too simple. It goes a bit more refined and smarter than most citrus and wood freshies and this adds incredible wearability and versatility. In the drydown the richness of the bergamot overtakes the lemon and blackberry and is what stays in as the rest fades out. The richness of the wood and the spices comes more to the fore and the effect is to drive things a little smoky, which adds a bit of intrigue and sophistication. I get a respectable six hours from this but you need to manage your expectations here as freshies like this really don't last very long because of how fast the accords they use fade. What is nice is the way it sits on the skin as a skin scent after it dries. Something curious about Cedrat Bois is how nice it is when you re-apply after the drydown and you get the rich, slight smokiness but also the fresh opening feel as well at the same time, which changes the character a bit. Topping up with this is very nice and if you are the sort of person who carries decants then this is a brilliant one to have around. This is easily available for under US$100 per 100ml bottle as well which is incredible value. The bottle is high quality and comes in the nice little Montale sleeve we have all become so familiar with, which makes this a bit easier and safer to carry round in your work or gym bag. This is a superior daily wearer that is quite at home with a suit and tie, shorts and a polo, jeans and a t-shirt and all in between, in cold weather, hot weather, rain, shine, snow, on boats, planes, in malls, museums, forests, skyscrapers etc you name it. Oh boy this one’s really good. I always liked the Aventus DNA but it’s too “abstract” especially now when the reformulations of it are more annoying than ever and only the older bottles really have some balls. One thing to make note of, CB is 100% reminiscent of Aventus in fact I didn’t try CB for a long while simply because despite being nice, the Aventus DNA was too common and too frequently imitated by dupe companies so I didn’t even want to be associated with that fragrance DNA I mean it was just too “mass market at some point”. Coming to the present day, I had ordered some other fragrance and my friend had ordered this, I thought huh alright good for him if he wants to smell mass appealing. But boy was I wrong, cuz this is an entirely different league. I won’t even continue ranting about the citrusy clean opening with a deeper leathery drydown cuz enough comments have mentioned it and they’re correct about it. This perfume is what Aventus could never be. CB is the Aventus for Villains. Or to put it the other way around, Aventus is the CB for kids. I’m not even exaggerating, this fragrance picks Aventus and ch0kes it by the neck just like Thanos picked up Loki in the beginning of Avengers Infinity War and Loki(Aventus) tells him “you’ll never be a God” and Thanos(CB) finishes him off anyway cuz he knows he’s superior. Farts last longer than Aventus but on the other hand Cedrat Boise lasts an eternity and especially the dry down is so smoky leathery masculine that it becomes a denser and deeper fragrance overall, basically heavy enough to be used in every season every occasion imaginable. Also I personally want to make a comparison with Creed Absolu Aventus as well, it’s better than the OG Aventus but still nowhere near CB. Cedrat Boise is my new king of fresh fragrances. If I could ever have only one perfume for life this would be it. Massive compliment machine both from fragrance connoisseurs and normal people cuz this has literally everything every aspect every note and the blending, all of it tuned to perfection. Aventus showed the way, Cedrat Boise mastered it. Blind buy safe literally nothing will go wrong it’s too gorgeous. Leans prominently masculine, even more than the Aventus especially now due to the dense leather.

First of all; STOP comparing this to Aventus, it's not even close! I'm confused. And honestly? A little annoyed. Everywhere I look, people are saying this is something like Club de Nuit Precieux, CDNI Extrait etc... Are we even smelling the same thing? Cedrat Boise is NOT built on the Aventus DNA. There's no pineapple here. No smoky birch. Cedar or any other woody note being present doesn't make it close to Aventus or Hacivat's smoky woody note. Yes, there's blackcurrant. Yes, there's patchouli. Yes, there's bergamot and musk. But those notes exist in hundreds, if not thousands of fragrances. That doesn't mean they all belong to the same "DNA." That's like saying every pizza with mozzarella is the same pizza. Cedrat Boise is its own thing. It's fruity, dark, almost jammy blackcurrant, but not bright pineapple. It's woody and leathery, but smooth and mass-pleasing. It's fresh but has depth. And that famous "Cedrat" (citron) note? That's not just bergamot. It's sharper, greener, more Mediterranean. Let me tell you a quick story: Just yesterday, my friend was at a supermarket with two other people. The cashier looked at all three and said, "One of you smells amazing." That was Cedrat Boise. It gets compliments. Real ones. Not from fragrance nerds, from normal people. Performance: Beast! 10 hours easily. Projects well for the first 3-4 hours. Mancera knows how to do longevity. Best: Spring, summer, fall. Works in heat, works in mild weather. Stop calling everything with blackcurrant and patchouli (pineapple) an "Aventus clone." Cedrat Boise stands on its own. And honestly? It's better than most things in its price range. If you want Aventus, buy Aventus. Or buy Explorer!, CDNIM, or L'Aventure Intense (my favorite). But if you want a fruity, woody, leathery, fresh scent with insane performance and a unique character, buy Cedrat Boise. Just don't expect pineapple...

this was the fragrance that convinced me mancera deserves the hype. the opening is this huge citrus blast, lemon and bergamot with a blackcurrant sweetness that makes it immediately interesting. not just "fresh citrus" like every other fragrance in this lane. the blackcurrant gives it a juicy, almost fruity edge that separates it from the designer crowd. after about 30 minutes it settles into this patchouli-cedar-leather thing that honestly punches way above its price. you're getting niche quality performance at what, $90-150 for a 120ml? that's wild when you compare it to what creed or tom ford charges for similar projection. speaking of projection, this thing fills a room without being obnoxious. i get a solid 8-10 hours with moderate sillage that tapers nicely. my wife picks it up from across the couch hours after i spray it, which is exactly what you want. versatility is the real selling point. i wear it to the office, on dates, running errands on saturdays. works in spring, summer, even fall if the weather cooperates. it's one of maybe three bottles in my collection i'd call truly year-round. only knocks: the leather in the drydown can be a bit much for some people, and i've heard newer batches aren't quite as potent as the older ones. i got mine in 2025 and it still holds up just fine, so take the batch talk with a grain of salt. if you're looking for one bottle that does everything and you don't want to spend aventus money, this is the answer. - TheLastSpritz

Mediterranean Elegance Wow – this is a very natural, woody, and herbal scent.. Fresh, green, and slightly earthy. It’s not your typical citrus-woody fragrance and there’s something novel and refined about it. This is absolutely signature scent material. It’s versatile, professional, and unique. If you enjoy the style of Lemony, Herbal but also woody Encre Noir accent, you might appreciate this one too and though Cedrat Boise is brighter and more wearable in formal or office settings. What stands out most is how different it smells. It doesn’t feel like a flanker or a twist on something else. It’s its own creation. You will stand out wearing this, but in a classy, understated way. It’s not loud or headache-inducing. just quietly confident. Final Verdict: One of my top 10 fragrances. I would definitely repurchase. Before you buy you should understand that Mancera/Montale as a brand is a very unique house. They are by and large a direct to consumer brand and that designation is very important because they engineer their fragrances very differently than fragrances houses that sell in department stores. Designer brands are built to create an amazing opening because they know that you will base your purchasing decision on that opening spray; unfortunately, they break down fairly fast and often end up being simple smelling skin scents. Mancera fragrances are the complete opposite of this model...they are thick and oily and are created to last hours and hours on your skin. The openings are weird and muted but once the oils open up they radiate at a low boil for an incredibly long time. Cedrat Boise is built very much the same. Strange opening, but about a half an hour later this is a great scent...fruity and woodsy with a nice leather back drop. This people saying it’s weak or doesn’t project are either confused or have no sense of smell. This is a wear everywhere at anytime fragrance.

Alright so I'm going off a 2,5 ml decant here and I must say I'm disappointed, very glad I didn't blind buy just because it's affordable. To my nose this is entirely wood and fruit. But the dominant wood note is not a very exciting one, it's very soft, almost vanillic and creamy. Combined with the fruitiness to me this smells like a tutti-frutti cardboard box, a very pleasant cardboard box, but cardboard box nonetheless. Look I can see why some people adore this but to me I felt like a grandpa when I smelled it on me. Like a grandpa that just came out of the woodshop with shavings and dust all over me. I had inverse confidence wearing this. It's 5/10, not awful, but so polarizing to me that I find it really strange that this is touted as almost having mass appeal. Good pricing though from Mancera, this one is pretty strong and had great longevity. I wish there was more citrus and brightness to this than the name implies. To me it's just cedar and some vague random fruit cereal. And it's not exciting, not invigorating, just smells old, in a good way, but still old.

I can not forget how I felt when I sniffed this for the first time. Have this from 2020... it’s a beautiful woody scent. I bought it after a ton of research that check the boxes , all year round , day and night ; has atleast 8 hours of projection , not necessarily a freshie and mostly under 100$. Bbbbhhhaaammm!!!! You have Cedrat Boise. I love the opening it’s super fresh and uplifting and after 2-3 hours is when the magic happens . Women love this on men . I keep going back to smelling it over and over and over and over again... No, this has nothing to do with aventus. I do understand why people say so. But I think this is wayyy better than Aventus . My most complimented fragrance .... Longevity 8 hours projection is about 4 hours and it becomes skin scent. I did try the intense version but that is not as versatile as this .. if you want to buy one , I will choose the intense one. For a bit more price you get stronger one but you might have to compromise on summer and wear something else during hot days.

This is an excellent fruity scent with a masculine touch. In the opening, it is a bit rough, with spices and leather contrasting the fruitiness, but once it settles down it becomes more soft and appealing. It has great performance and price-to-value ratio - you can get this for quite cheap on discounters. It is from one of the most affordable niche brands. I am currently saving this bottle and giving it a bit of time to develop and macerate. I have heard that this will help it actually uncover its potential. I have also heard that this is a play on the Aventus DNA. I disagree, it is its own type of DNA despite the "on-paper" note similarities. During my blind-testing, it consistently ranked just below Aventus in appeal, yet this comparison is unfair due to vastly different price points and personal preferences of people. Solid 8/10 here. Let's see how it performs after maceration. (It also has an excellent atomizer and comes in a fancy leather baggie which is nice)

This is my signature year round scent. I am on my second bottle of this fragrance and still love it as much as the first time I sprayed it. This fragrance transitions from a fruity opening to a beautiful mid/dry down wood-musk on my skin. The only thing Cedrate Boise shares with Aventus in my opinion is a fruity opening. To me it's not even the same in the opening, they are definitely in the same family but that's where it ends for me. This fragrance lasts me 10+ hours, and I get wafts through out the day. It definitely performs best in coolish(50°f) to warm(75°f) weather, even though I wear it in high heat it can be very heavy if I spray more than 2-3(3rd being under a shirt)sprays unless I am outside. I also wear it in the cold weather with 1-2 extra sprays, but this fragrance really shines for me in mid fall and mid spring. Definitely my favorite fragrance.

Cedrat Boise is Cedrat Boise. Nobody is going to think you're wearing Aventus, or Hacivate. If it wasn't for Fragrantica's "This perfume reminds me of" feature were it suggests Aventus, I don't think I would have made the connection. The connection to Aventus is a big stretch. An incredibly loose connection that I argue isn't there. I don't care what notes they share in common, they don't come across the same. They're different animals. I wear Cedrat Boise because I want to smell like Cedrat Boise. I love Cedrat Boise but it isn't the loud performance beast people claim it to be. It's loud for maybe an hour but then it dials back. It gets lost in the crowd of smells while out on the town. Initially I thought it disappeared but I wore it recently around the house and the next morning I noticed it on my shirt. Still there but low projection.

Revisiting this one after having a less than stellar first encounter. Something has happened to my appreciation of this scent but now I'm liking it way more than I did before. It's less mushed fruit and now I can really tell the leather, cedar and oakmoss coming through prominently. Maybe something happened to my sample or my nose got more sophisticated but this is a strong like now, very solid formal occasion spring, summer and fall fragrance. It's not sweet enough to me to be a distinct winter fragrance, actually I think this would feel a little bit too somber in the winter. But like spring/summer wedding? I think this would be an awesome, super masculine fragrance. Also if we have to compare this fragrance to another one it's much much closer to Hacivat than Aventus.

This stuff just works. It is fantastic. It perhaps suffers in the reviews below due to 1. Hype (no-body likes hype - do they?!); 2. Expectations to be a fragrance it isn't (coughAventuscough); and 3. It is now genuinely quite popular (people tend to rag on popular stuff - those pesky contrarians). If you (like me) come to this honestly - ignoring the past hype, comparisons, and popularity - then you will likely come to the same conclusions as me (and many others) - this stuff just works, it is uplifting, bright, fresh, complex, long-lasting, addictive, and one of the most versatile fragrances out there for men. So in conclusion...hyped for good reason.....popular because its amazing.....and for the comparisons it gets?......what's an aventus?

Nose Note #419 I bought both this and Cedrat Essence Emir by Paris Corner and I like Cedat Boise a little more. In the dupe the nutty aspect of the OG is turned up and I don't like that. Plus it performs just about average whereas the OG is definately a long stayer. I can't call the OG an Aventus dupe, they are too far apart to my nose, although the similarity is obvious. The fruit note is different, it has this nutty note too that's not in the OG. I like Aventus more, but this is also great. The price is think justifies the content, especially considering it's a 120ml, not 100. And as far as I know UAE companies haven't made a French Avenue level of quality dupe of this. So as by mid 2025 Cedrat Boise is good on its own 8/10

In so many ways, this doesn't make sense. It's fresh, but has an underlying ash tray thing going on that really negates the freshness. It's vibrant, but has a strange Mancera synthetic undertone that you just can't escape. CDNIM and Explorer have the Aventus lane covered with a cleaner, more straightforward approach. SNOI/Hawas Black have got Hacivat down. And this certainly isn't Absolu. So what is it? I don't know. And when I put it on, I don't even know if it's what I want to smell like. But I do know that every time I look at the bottle, I want to smell it. Is it Hacivat with a fresher, more vibrant fruit, and an ash-tray/cigarette scent in place of the oakmoss?

I have been consitently wearing this fragrance for 3 years now. I bought it as a blind buy and wear it every day to school, to casual and fancy restaurants, or just group outings. I have never recieved more just geniune compliments so consitently from a fragrance. It's a smell that's very mass apealing and one that I also enjoy wearing myself. Not the best to wear in hot weather but good for summer nights or if your indoors, other than that wears well all year round. Im 18 now and went through highschool wearing this cologne and recieved compliments from both classmates and some teachers. Nice to have in your collection, easy to fall back on, and not too expensive.

TLDR - I love this fragrance and it is NOT an Aventus twist (damn you influencers). I love this fragrance, its exactly what it sounds like - woodsy and fruits in a wicker basket. It's such a great casual scent. Sometimes i find myself just opening the cap and smelling the atomizer. Influencers keep saying its an Aventus twist - It is NOTHING like Aventus to me. I have Aventus and CDNIM - this stands apart as a separate fragrance. I tried the Intense version but I'm completely averse and sensitive to leather notes so it did not work for me - it might work for you though. It's not too much leather in Intense, but enough to put me off. This one is a 9/10 for me.

Ok so citrus off the rip! Nice. In a way that kinda pulls you in. It is strong, but not overwhelming. The fragrance definitely draws you in to see how it matures. I don’t know I would call this a SAFE blind buy.... But close. I look forward to seeing how it macerates. Update: furthering the review after a few weeks: the longer you have it the more you pick up on the smokey, woodsy scents. There is a subtle sweetness to them that are addictive. I can't help but want to put it back on. Not sweet as in gourmand, but a woodsy sweetness mixed with the citrus, leathery, peppery... that draws you in. love it. super classy feel, good anytime, any season IMO
