Fabulous Yuzu

Yuzu, a citrus landmark of the Orient, particularly Japan. Consider that the tree branches from which it comes are covered with extremely sharp thorns that often damage the fruit, especially in high winds. Moreover, the same tree takes up to twenty years before giving its fruit. A citrus fruit very rich in properties, nourishing, healing, which is perfectly represented with this bright and fresh fragrance. A sparkling, slightly acidic opening gives way to a juicy, sweet mid part that brings out a wonderful mimosa and jasmine. A really pleasant perfume, great for the warmer seasons and which, despite being citrusy, has truly remarkable performances.

I love this fragrance. It is amazingly sour and yuzu like off the beginning it is slightly synthetic but i dont think its in a terrible way. After the dry down this turns into a calm vanilla scent. This vanilla scent has decent longevity but terrible silliage. I like wearing this for myself; the opening for the first 30 mins is lovely and i cant stop smelling that fresh yuzu. Besides that its a decent daily scent just for that calm clean vanilla base. If you like yuzu and citrus and dont care about longevity or silllage this is for you its like virgin island waters: Amazing smell but performance means its not worth it.

This perfumes reminds me of a fragrance that i received as a present a few years ago: Dolce Shine. I liked it but the solar note was offputting for me so i decluttered it. Fabulous Yuzu resembles a lot of that fragrance but without that disturbing solar note. I don't know if it's the smell itself but more of the emotions they bring. They both smell like a sunny, happy summer day. The image i have is a maiden with long blonde hair from the fairytales singing and picking flowers from the meadows, with a basket on the forearm in a warm summer morning Bliss!

When I first got Fabulous Yuzu I wasn't impressed - performance seemed below Mancera's standards and the scent didn't convince me. 18 months later, the performance is great, easily lasting a full day. The scent has this perfect balance of freshness and warmth, and it's become one of my favorites from the house. Sometimes you just need to let a fragrance sit for a while and revisit it later.

Favorite summer scent from mancera, this smells like if you took Valentino born in Roma uomo and turned it into a niche fragrance. It's sweet vanilla-ish warm and slightly spiced floral citrus. It does NOT smell like toilet cleaner or air freshener if you've heard someone say that.

Absolute stellar, Mancera fabulous Yuzu is everything and more. I get a gourmand /cozy vibe from this fragrance the cinnamon really is blended well. Their new releases really have been amazing this is definitely blind buy worthy.

I bought it with high expectations, as I was familiar with other fragrances from the house of mancera. However I was deeply disappointed, the scent revolves around a very unnaturally smelling citrus, I wouldn’t say a yuzu, but more like a citrus toilet cleanser. While the projection and longevity is pretty good for me, it’s not a scent I want to use and have on my skin for longer. I expected much more, definitely wouldn’t recommend for a blind buy. Edit: After a few weeks it actually started to appeal to me, the synthetic yuzu, changes to a rather citrusy note, with a bit of vanilla. It definitely smells better after some time

This is one you got to spray 10 times and let sit a couple weeks. First time I sprayed this i literally thought mamcera put the wrong juice in the bottle. It smelled like a terrible cherry cough syrup somehow 😂. I came back after a week and now it’s nice. A completely different scent somehow. I get more of the sweet than the citrus but the citrus is there. I get the cinnamon when first sprayed but that doesn’t last long. Overall it’s a pleasant unisex scent that works in spring and summer. Probably best during cooler days. The key is to spray it a few times and let it sit a while before you judge it.

This perfume teaches us never judge a book by its cover. Many people compared it to Jardin Exclusif. It definitely does reminds you of it after 5 minutes into opening, but for a brief few minutes. Then, it's true DNA shines fresh and spicy summer fragrance. I guess mancera was trying to achieve all year around fragrance with this one. Maybe that's why in the far dry down there is only spicy smell. Which smells like a pepper to me. But i might be wrong. I will wait for few week and than try it again. You can never understand a perfume unless you give it a full wearing.

A decently unique take on a citrus fragrance. It does bring something new to the table by not using bergamot for the 5000th time and having lots of sweet notes. The vanilla and cinnamon give it lemon cake vibes, no bitterness, which works any day in any season. It smells just like the neon yellow colour it has. Synthetic in a few ways, but not as a poor imitation of citrus, like lemon curd. Be warned if you use the nature fallacy like most users on this site.

While I do detect bitter citrus....it doesn't really come across as Yuzu to me. Overall pleasant, and quickly jumps to a woody sandal vanilla fragrance. Leans ever so slightly feminine, but still unisex overall. Good purchase of you can find this discounted for under $80 for 4oz (which I did). This might be a bit too much sweetness for high heat summer days, but I would rock this during summer nights after the sun sets.

This is an interesting fragrance. I am not shure what to think about it. The cinnamon is a great touch in this composition, thats for sure. But the jasmin is a bit to loud for my taste. When you are familiar with Pierre Montale creations you know directly this is from his hand. Also I can get the comparisation with blue matcha, but maybe for 20%. It is a unique fragrance. I am curious how this works on summer days..

Very nice, subtile fragrance, sweet, citrus, velvet.. like a cozy summer.. not a power fragrance, as what you expect from Mancera, but great for summer. Doesnt smell like l’eau d issey at all. Bought a full bottle right after launch in Montale/mancera boutique Paris. Nice staff, and got lots of samples, to discover new must have scents

A delightfully clean citrus, with no added sweetener. A smidge of jasmine softens.

Smells good, but not my style personally and definitely more feminine leaning.

Not a fan, although I do enjoy a fresh citrus fragrance. This is just too citrusy to me. I’m not really getting the other notes. It’s almost bathroom cleaner scented. This review is based upon a sample— I gave it away.

This "oriental" fragrance does actually smell like something we have in East Asia... specifically, bathroom deodorizing cakes/balls. Somehow the wood+vetiver combo smells like camphor rather than sandalwood, and camphor is commonly used in Asian countries to deodorize toilets, with citrus being the most common fragrance. That a French nose managed to inadvertently capture this specific Asian smell is both unfortunate and hilarious to me.

Not a straightforward yuzu, vanilla scent as the notes and may claim, in fact the cinnamon and mysore sandalwood are way more prominent than expected and the vetiver is quite present too. Longevity is moderate and sillage and projection are average. 5/10 not versatile enough and not unique or specific enough either. Just kind of exists i guess

I bought this because of a sale and my interest in getting a new summer frag, but I am not sure what to think of it just yet. It starts off with a strong yuzu-citrus scent with a bitter peel scent which I found a bit shocking but not unpleasant. However getting into the middle notes I can almost only smell vetiver root which I have seen no one else mention. There is a bit of jasmine and mimosa but this is throwing me off a little. I am going to update a little later as I continue the wear. I'm really hoping I don't have to return this. I was really hoping for a sweet citrus scent. Edit: This base note is just tonka bean but very light. The longevity is...4-5 hours? But I can't bring myself to believe it's worth it if I'm putting it on just to smell like vetiver root the majority of the time. I'm been mixing this with Khamrah by Lattafa which has improved its scent to me. A way too sweet warm vanilla meets a bitter lemon-match in heaven and improves the longevity.

This perfume has a very bright, delicious citrus top note, in which the smell of yuzu stands out, halfway between lemon and lime, and a hint of spicy cinnamon. Then it dries down with a hint of jasmine and some wood accompanied by the soft sweetness of vanilla and tonka. In any case, throughout its development the citric aspect remains. In the initial part of its middle phase it has a plasticy note that I don't like but, overall, it has an addictive effect on me and I find it pleasant. It has a moderate-soft sillage and lasts on my skin for more than 10 hours. Although I found it nice, I didn't fall in love enough to get a bottle. Smell 6/10 Duration 10/10 Sillage 6.5/10 Quality/price 5/10 Versatility 6/10 Packaging 7/10 Would I buy again? I did not buy it
