Gold Incense

Beautiful, spiritual fragrance. It has a subtle scent which does project, however it is not a beast. It has a powder note which is not my favourite, however it is subtle enough for me to still enjoy the fragrance. I mainly get the benzoin which smells more like frankincense or myrrh on me and a beautiful vanilla which is very organic and natural smelling with a hint of very well done rose (and I am not the biggest fan of rose). What I picture when I smell this is a freshly cleaned room where all the windows have been opened and incense has been burned to clear the space. A single vanilla scented candle is burning and there is a fresh bouquet of the finest roses on the windowsill .The open window lets in a gentle breeze of fresh air that carries the scent of roses, incense and vanilla candles around the room. This mixes really well with other scents and has a lot of depth to it. The blend is perfect here. I love this for day-to-day use and relaxing at home in the evening. It draws others' attention so it does seem to have a pretty good silliage and it lasts a solid 7+ hours on me. It makes me feel very safe and comfortable and I find it relaxing. It has a purity and divinity to it which reminds me of temples, mosques, churches and other places of worship. High vibrational fragrance and I am very eager to try the rest of the offerings from the house of Mancera now.

Tremendous fragrance 😍 leans tad bit feminine but on my skin the florals are toned down and it kinda changes it goes from sweet and incense to soapy I can see people say this is gourmand but not by much to my nose maybe for the first 20 minutes or so. For those confused with this fragrance. Mancera’s gold incense has this clean incense accord and it’s blended beautifully with the coffee accord. Some may say it’s smoky but that’s probably the coffee note in the background it’s actually very faint. I am middle eastern and I grew up with smelling a lot of incense and some incense may be strong and pungent and some of higher quality from Oman has this clean smell to it like a luxury scent and this fragrance has all that imo the incense is not loud in the fragrance or else it’ll be too smoky for peoples liking. Scent profile: Mancera’s Gold Incense is very clean I would not say powdery but it has a soapy facet to the fragrance. If you like orange gummies or familiar with peach rings candy it has that sweetness in the opening. Then it begins to change and get warmer from the benzoin and vanilla.

Much more vanilla / amber / floral heavy than the name would suggest. In fact, the incense seems to play an extremely muted role. That said, this is a beautiful, sensual fragrance. The opening is particularly interesting. I can definitely pick up the coffee and orange after spraying, and the way it's blended gives it an extremely comforting quality. This wears relatively light, and once it settles down after the first hour, it becomes less of a projection beast like some other Manceras, and is more of a personal experience. I actually think that works well with the profile here. It's by no means some innovative, revolutionary fragrance, as you can find other things out there that do the whole "sensual" vanilla / amber combo. However, if that's what you're looking for, this should certainly be on your list. It's a great choice at a reasonable price.

The name “Gold Incense” perfectly captures the essence of this fragrance. To me, it has a metallic scent, reminiscent of how you might imagine gold would smell if you could rub it under your nose. Unlike other reviews, I can distinctly detect the incense right from the opening, as it is very prominent in the headnote. This fragrance is calming and evokes the atmosphere of a church due to the strong incense presence. In my opinion, it has one of the best openings among Mancera’s offerings. It is neither alcoholic nor overpowering. I find it pleasant and soothing, unlike other Mancera scents like Red Tobacco, which can be quite intense from the first spray. Overall, I highly recommend Gold Incense to anyone seeking a fragrance with a metallic and incense profile.

#265 in my "Tour de Fragrance" No incense of any kind in this scent, but it's a very nice amber-vanilla-floral unisex scent just the same. Not the kind of powerhouse performance of some Mancera scents. No projection to speak of, with maybe four hours of skin scent. But a soothing, cuddly scent that's yummy, calm, and will absolutely offend no one in the car, the elevator, the office. That said, I have all kinds of fragrance with a nearly identical profile, some much stronger vanilla bombs, some less so, but that have the same general scent, so this sample is probably it for me for now. But, if I didn't have a scent with this DNA this would be an absolutely safe blind buy for getting started with this kind of amber-vanilla-floral scent.
