Gold Incense

Beautiful, spiritual fragrance. It has a subtle scent which does project, however it is not a beast. It has a powder note which is not my favourite, however it is subtle enough for me to still enjoy the fragrance. I mainly get the benzoin which smells more like frankincense or myrrh on me and a beautiful vanilla which is very organic and natural smelling with a hint of very well done rose (and I am not the biggest fan of rose). What I picture when I smell this is a freshly cleaned room where all the windows have been opened and incense has been burned to clear the space. A single vanilla scented candle is burning and there is a fresh bouquet of the finest roses on the windowsill .The open window lets in a gentle breeze of fresh air that carries the scent of roses, incense and vanilla candles around the room. This mixes really well with other scents and has a lot of depth to it. The blend is perfect here. I love this for day-to-day use and relaxing at home in the evening. It draws others' attention so it does seem to have a pretty good silliage and it lasts a solid 7+ hours on me. It makes me feel very safe and comfortable and I find it relaxing. It has a purity and divinity to it which reminds me of temples, mosques, churches and other places of worship. High vibrational fragrance and I am very eager to try the rest of the offerings from the house of Mancera now.

Tremendous fragrance 😍 leans tad bit feminine but on my skin the florals are toned down and it kinda changes it goes from sweet and incense to soapy I can see people say this is gourmand but not by much to my nose maybe for the first 20 minutes or so. For those confused with this fragrance. Mancera’s gold incense has this clean incense accord and it’s blended beautifully with the coffee accord. Some may say it’s smoky but that’s probably the coffee note in the background it’s actually very faint. I am middle eastern and I grew up with smelling a lot of incense and some incense may be strong and pungent and some of higher quality from Oman has this clean smell to it like a luxury scent and this fragrance has all that imo the incense is not loud in the fragrance or else it’ll be too smoky for peoples liking. Scent profile: Mancera’s Gold Incense is very clean I would not say powdery but it has a soapy facet to the fragrance. If you like orange gummies or familiar with peach rings candy it has that sweetness in the opening. Then it begins to change and get warmer from the benzoin and vanilla.

Much more vanilla / amber / floral heavy than the name would suggest. In fact, the incense seems to play an extremely muted role. That said, this is a beautiful, sensual fragrance. The opening is particularly interesting. I can definitely pick up the coffee and orange after spraying, and the way it's blended gives it an extremely comforting quality. This wears relatively light, and once it settles down after the first hour, it becomes less of a projection beast like some other Manceras, and is more of a personal experience. I actually think that works well with the profile here. It's by no means some innovative, revolutionary fragrance, as you can find other things out there that do the whole "sensual" vanilla / amber combo. However, if that's what you're looking for, this should certainly be on your list. It's a great choice at a reasonable price.

The name “Gold Incense” perfectly captures the essence of this fragrance. To me, it has a metallic scent, reminiscent of how you might imagine gold would smell if you could rub it under your nose. Unlike other reviews, I can distinctly detect the incense right from the opening, as it is very prominent in the headnote. This fragrance is calming and evokes the atmosphere of a church due to the strong incense presence. In my opinion, it has one of the best openings among Mancera’s offerings. It is neither alcoholic nor overpowering. I find it pleasant and soothing, unlike other Mancera scents like Red Tobacco, which can be quite intense from the first spray. Overall, I highly recommend Gold Incense to anyone seeking a fragrance with a metallic and incense profile.

#265 in my "Tour de Fragrance" No incense of any kind in this scent, but it's a very nice amber-vanilla-floral unisex scent just the same. Not the kind of powerhouse performance of some Mancera scents. No projection to speak of, with maybe four hours of skin scent. But a soothing, cuddly scent that's yummy, calm, and will absolutely offend no one in the car, the elevator, the office. That said, I have all kinds of fragrance with a nearly identical profile, some much stronger vanilla bombs, some less so, but that have the same general scent, so this sample is probably it for me for now. But, if I didn't have a scent with this DNA this would be an absolutely safe blind buy for getting started with this kind of amber-vanilla-floral scent.

The name is deceiving! The opening is reminiscent of the juicy, bright fruity-patchouli notes in Chanel chance EDT / the mandarin-patchouli opening in pre-reformulated Miss Dior EDP (2012-2015?) The overall profile is much more mainstream than some of Mancera’s jarring statement fragrances, albeit smoother and with more depth. This is a great beginner niche scent that is truly stunning and easy to wear- the powdery violet/musk/benzoin dry down is very comforting; overall this is an uplifting “feel good” scent with a fantastic blend between notes and phases. Melts into skin/clothes, signature scent worthy! Classy and bright, but not stuffy or sterile.

This is a hidden gem!! Fresh, light floral, sweet, orange-ish and clean. Projection/sillage are moderate and longevity is excellent. For me, this is a dumb reach...always performs, clean and unique scent. I do not see this as feminine, rather perfectly unisex. Gourmand only in the beginning, beautiful familiar scent that I can't put my finger on. I highly recommend this one! I always get compliments and the wife loves this on me. Simply a beautiful scent from beginning to end. One of the most beautiful openings by Mancera, second only to Gold Prestigium. 8.5/10

Unlike the review below me I do get incense! I get incensy vanilla with a slightly soapy touch and white florals as a supporting role! The sillage of this is gorgeous. Maybe its a chemistry thing. I’m chocked no one has mentioned it but this fragrance have the same airy quality as BR540. Completely different scent though. But if you smell it closely its very week but the whiffs you keep getting are strong and airy. Really like this scent!

I love this particular Mancera's perfume a lot. Like really a lot. I can detect the orange coffee opening which is so uplifting. Then I get this sweet floral notes and it mixed so well with the vanilla. This is also the perfume when I wear, I get asked 'what perfume are you wearing? It smells so good'. Can't get a full bottle in my country, which is also the first bottle I got when I was in Paris last week. :)

Wow. Just wow. What can I say about this fragrance. I never thought I would like a floral-y fragrance, but this one does it SOOO WELL. It was so good that the second I got a whiff from my travel spray, I immediately went to the discount website and bought the last bottle they had available. This is hands freaking down THE best fragrance that Mancera has out out. 10/10

Very rich, but it’s reminds me too much of la vie est belle, which I can’t stand anymore. If you like that scent, don’t buy la vie Est Belle, buy this one instead. This is a la vie Est Belle on steroids! Its a good fragrance. But not for me Edit : Nah I love it

ITS GIVING 😍😍 i'm building my perfume collection, this is my first bougie scent. i LOVE her. sweet but not childish. it has a very slight old lady vibe to her but i'm sure paired with a sweet scented lotion i won't even notice. just gorrrrrgeous

Sweet vanilla orange gummy scent with a very green patchouli dry down. Don’t get neither coffee nor rose. But still very lovely.

I think this fragrance confuses a number of frag heads including myself. Some people think this is a fresh and light fragrance. However, I beg to differ. It’s sweet, tangy, and a bit smoky on top. The top notes give the illusion of a light fragrance. It seduces and invites you to a journey that is fruity, flowery, and incensy. The smell of incense in here is not a burnt one, but the ones that are sitting in a cupboard waiting to be united with fire. I could smell flowers and detect white flowers which overshadow violet and rose. The experience so far has been anything but light because of the rich and dense composition of all the ingredients. Then the base welcomes you with a vanilla and benzoin prominent scent. The musk in here is there to balance the sweetness of the other base notes and it gives more dimension to the base. It’s kind and not animalic. I likened this one to eating orange spongecakes with meringue on top on a Sunday afternoon at a Café. It gives the illusion of freshness, airiness, and softness which makes me think that I can eat more than one slice. Then at the end of that day, I decided to skip dinner. If there’s one thing missing from that afternoon (or this fragrance) is that I forgot to order a cup of coffee.

Have you ever been to a social event and you meet someone new, someone who appears unassuming, but there's something about them that peaks your interest? You make eye contact, you start a conversation with this person and they are quite interesting, knowledgeable and deep and you just want to spend most of your evening talking to them. This is what Gold Incense reminds me of. It's unassuming yet interesting..It has twists and turns with the spicy opening of pepper and incense. It's a bit different to your daily fragrance, but yet it has a calm nature to it with the jasmine and vanilla. It's not a safe blind buy as it might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I enjoy it. It has good performance and projection as most Mancera's do. On my skin, I would say it's unisex, leaning a little bit more feminine. There's something about this that reminds me a little bit of Molton Brown Flora Luminare which I have and love.

Similar to everyone, I favor specific scents and certain fragrance categories. I like incense notes, patchouli, rose, oud, smoky florals, etc. I applied Mancera Gold Incense with excitement and moderate expectations. For me, this fragrance is disappointing. While nice enough I suppose, I agree with others about the absence of incense, or smokiness of any kind. I agree with "smokywhiteowl" about the presence of vanilla, musk, some patchouli...that's about it. The opening is quite intense and peppery. Fortunately, the opening notes last for 15 seconds. Afterward, IMHO this fragrance smells like "just about any old mainstream fragrance with said notes that can easily be found at Ulta, or any department store fragrance counter." Longevity is poor, silage is poor. A very ho-hum fragrance that will surely appeal to the masses. Quiet, safe, ordinary and basic.

Blind buy for this one, as I cannot test Manceras in a store near where I live. I expected something much more interesting and deep from the description and the notes. What I got instead is a very pleasant, but light sweet floral with a soap/clean feeling. This is very much in line with D&G Sicily (I used to own and was my signature scent at some point) and I would also add Paco Rabanne's "Lady Million" the original. I now own both and comparing them side by side they share many similarities. On my skin, Lady Million projects more and has better lasting power, but I understand that this varies from person to person. Overall, pleasant, feminine, clean scent that would work for many occasions. I would not repurchase once it is done.

In the opening it does give a spiritual/incensy/resinous nuances that are vey nice. The drydown, for my nose, is white musks HEAVY with some powdery florals surrounding and I also get a light waxy aspect. As a man it gives me clean girl aesthetic vibes which I don't mind. No coffee at all I will wear my sample but wont buy full bottle since I think I can get a similar vibe for a cheaper price (The Musc - the waxy aspect is way more evident - for example). It has a pretty nice scent bubble, I keep catching whiffs of it.

I have a decant to try. It is very warm and inviting. I can smell the incense but it does not burn my nose. It has some soft florals as a supporting role. It would be an excellent mixer if you wanted to spice up a floral sweet fragrance underneath. Overall I like it, I would not buy a FB. It's not overly impactful, I think it would be fine for work with one spray. It's nice but not for me.

Gold insence is loyal member of happy family of sicily, soliel d italie,holidays......... same vibe the idea of mixing citrus and flowers to give you the feeling of summer vibe. If you have any of the above so pretty much you buying back-up bottle with slight differences. This one easy buy it is very nice! not as feminine as people say it is solid unisex.

This is a nice fruity, fresh and floral scent that leans a little feminine. As it dries down it gets more masculine, as the patchouli starts to emerge. I bought this for myself but gave it to my girlfriend, however I would wear this on a hot day. Very nice and great performance, but not groundbreaking in terms of scent profile.

Beautiful, dense, pronounced caramelized amber incense opening. Not too synthetic. Citrus, pink pepper and coffee notes alternate in. Harmonious mix. Mid and dry-down are more subtle and less interesting. But still very good and reminiscent of the opening. A fireplace banger! Top shelf Mancera.

Warm opening of nutty spices and citrusy notes for me, I thought I recognized ginger initially, but it was the mandarin and pepper. Didn’t catch any coffee, the incense is subtle. Quickly the notes switch, opening the way for the powdery notes to come in. Not what I expected or wanted, but thankfully I detect some warmth and spice from the benzoin coming up. It’s really at dry-down where I get the freshness of the mandarin and patchouli, some incense, balsamic notes from the benzoin and vanilla pod. Pretty! The vanilla or white florals bring some creaminess on and off, which I’m not really into. Overall it’s sexy without being vulgar, benzoin-gingery-vanilla type of perfume, leans feminine. Something I picture a jet-setter wearing at a VIP club on summer nights, or a female executive like Sylvie from Emily in Paris or Samantha from SATC during fall. _____ Projection, sillage, longevity : 10/10 Originality, presentation : 8/10 Quality, value : 6.5/10 8/10

Got it today i make a gamble on it , the reviews are mix some say smoky some say no smoke some say feminine some say masculine. So I'm wearing it all day and i can say no smoke at all just nice sweet, fruity ,flowery . 100% feminine scent don't trust those witch say different . My blind buy this time go wrong because I don't mind softer delicate scents but unfortunately this one is not giving me anything, but i think this may be very nice for women . Warm sweet with a dark incense coffee after smell Not bad, leans more male in my opinion

I do enjoy a number of Mancera’s fragrances and their unbelievably great value, seeing how long they last. I also do not shy away from “unisex” fragrances, as I wear TF’s Black Orchid, MFK Aqua Celeste and BC Rouge 540, along with others. Saying that, this goes way too far into the feminine side for me with the floral scent jasmine. I don’t mind white florals...but this is way too flowery. I’m almost not sure I would want to smell this on my wife. Man or woman, pick up a sample before buying this. The notes look attractive, but IMHO the jasmine runs the show here. If Jasmine is your #1 note, you might find a winner here.

This is very fresh n light for something calling itself 'Gold Incense'. I get a very fresh light vanilla, a tiny bit of jasmine n not much else. I was expecting something reasonably strong if not a beast.. this seems quite feeble. If I smell the nozzle I get why people have said this is similar to Crystal Noir or Nuit Blanche.. but Lady Million not really. On my skin, I get nothing much at all. I have v dry skin n it's freezing here though. Will try again when it gets warmer but underwhelmed at present.

I see this is marketed towards unisex, but for me it leans far more feminine. The florals are very pronounced and to be honest I’m getting very little incense, certainly not enough for it to be in the title of the fragrance. It’s a pleasant vanilla floral fragrance, but nothing ground breaking or unique. Not for me.

It's somewhat gourmand and soapy at the same time, which sounds really good, but it's not. The outcome is something bad to my nose, I have associations about eating a bar of soap (sorry, I know I'm low-key crazy) when I smell this. Soapy and gourmand as I said. Instant nausea.

My least favorite Mancera I’ve tried so far. There is no incense which is no surprise as many Mancera names are a bit misleading lol. More so just vanilla with some florals. Pass for me.

Mancera Gold Incense is a vanilla gourmand incense. The composure here bares a strong resemblance to the style of Thierry Mugler fragrances. It features a deep, rich, sophisticated blend of vanilla, laced with heady florals and incense that projects together with the utmost maturity. Very uptown and classy. Certainly not in everyone's tastes. Avant-garde‒to some less extremist‒more contemporary style. In true French spirit, Montale usually has a joke or a reference to go with his fragrances. I would guess this one would be some kind of story of the occult based on the attributes here. Something along the lines of, "taking a virgin to the altar to improve his perfuming skill‒and Thierry Mugler appeared!" But then probably something about it only being a rip-off in the end, because the product stinks, and wasn't worth the cost. The bottle makes me think Wonder Woman. Being that it was released with Hindu Kush (which would be green), possibly he's saying that he will Hulk Pound Mugler in a fragrance duel? Or possibly that he wants to get Hulk Pounded, so he can steal formula and sell it. "Oohh take me, you brute!" I notice a number of other possible suggestions, but I'm not going to begin to go into them. If you have a vintage soul, you'll definitely be able to enjoy this one. Much the same for any woman who thrives on very sophisticated work such as this. It's sure to bring your confidence to its peak. It adds gravity to the feeling of grandeur. It is the glimmering gold‒on the ravishing woman.

This is the only one I ordered as a sample instead of a full bottle, and I liked it from the very first try. Unlike most Mancera fragrances, the sweetness here is moderate. There isn’t a single note that stands out on its own, but the overall blend gives a balanced impression dominated by a mild sweetness and a very slight tanginess from mandarin. There’s a warm, creamy nuance from coffee, and a light touch of vanilla, unlike other Mancera scents where vanilla tends to overpower everything. There’s no trace of rose, incense, or smoke. The other notes can’t be picked out individually, but they help refine and balance the main accords of orange, coffee, and vanilla.

So this was a blind buy, bought this just based on the notes (and the name). First impressions were- this smells like some designer perfume that people have been wearing for years, or maybe a mix of several of those. What I mean by that is- yes, it’s nothing groundbreaking or unique. The name and notes are a bit misleading, like many have said, the incense note to me is very faint and therefore it lacks some edge, sharpness. I still think that it is a nice take on vanilla and white florals- it’s clean, powdery and I would also use the word “non-offensive” to describe it. This could be the scent of a more “high-end” shampoo, and it does have that beauty salon/ spa feel to it. Overall, a nice calming scent, pretty and feminine. As a blind buy not totally dissapointing, however not how I imagined it. Update: The incense becomes very prominent when the fragrance comes into contact with heat.

Verrry similar to Feminity Gold incense is fresher and sweeter in the opening Feminity is bolder and sweeter in the dry down (more vanillic due to the caramel I think) They are both unisex though and surprisingly Feminity opens up more masculine due to the strong, suedy leather note. Gold incense is more wearable for everyday and honestly doesn’t give much of an “incense” vibe. It opens with an orange, but not an “annoying” orange. The orange gives it an fresh effervescence. I can detect coffee however I do not detect rose . The vanilla so far is a fresh vanilla as opposed to a gourmand vanilla. The musk is done beautifully in my opinion. Im very interested to see how this evolves and ages. Update: something in here smells like peanut oil. Same with femininity. I couldn’t handle it and am giving it away.

Very interesting. It changes a lot... it goes from coffee and incense to soapy, clean powder, with white flowers and vanilla in between. I'm having a hard time describing it. I wear it lot lately, because I just can't figure it out. It's a challenge. Good performance. Unpredictable, unique fragrance. Not sure, if I love it, but it's not boring. Soapy musk and white florals in this bother me sometimes... but sweet notes and incense are nice. There's powdery violet and soft patchouli as well. This fragrance is warm and cold at the same time. Is it offensive to call it a bipolar perfume?

On a blotter and on skin things are totally different. I rarely have this problem. I love it on a blotter - it's everything I want it to be - sweet and feminine, modern and zesty. On my skin I end up with highly diluted orange juice and all sweet notes gone. I go back to the blotter and there it is - all that I'm not getting from my skin. I'll try spraying on hair and clothes and see if it helps. It's such a let down. I wonder if D&G Velvet Collection Sicily does a better job ...

I might have a very unsophisticated nose. I’m jealous of those who can identify all the individual notes. I get no coffee, smoke or incense. All this gives me is a generic fruity floral that dries down musky, something a teenage girl would wear. Edit one year later: trying this again, but only on my shirt. this is very nice, a bit creamy and sweet, mildly soapy. I find the dry down masculine. Turns out my skin destroys perfume and I can never judge it that way.

This is the second scent from Mancera that I've tried and again I'm stumped as to how Mancera names their scents. First I tried Aoud Blue Notes, which had very little Aoud and nothing "blue". Similarly Gold Incense has almost no incense (or coffee or pepper). Instead it is dominated by vanilla and powder which produces a drydown similar to Aoud Blue Notes. Performance is very good, but I expected much more out of this scent based on the listed notes.

A classic retro violet-rose-patchouli Femme Fatale accord over a dense, but still pale in comparison frankincense trail. Like lipstick in a church, but the lipstick is bigger. A certain coffee note does indeed come lingering when you least expect it, as if borrowed from the Mancera/Montale library in the last moment. All in all, the different layers of this fragrance feel both enjoyable and somehow disconnected; really well done but a bit boring.

Unlike the name, this fragrance is not in the category of incense. I've tried many incense fragrances and the main notes for incense are Myrhh, labdanum, and frankincense, which you can't see here. It's floral, with a prominent Jasmin note, on a warm amber base. The projection and longevity are good but the scent is neither original nor unique. To me, it's very feminine. There are better options for incense or Jasmin. 5.5/10

I've been wearing this scent for the past two days, trying to give it a chance. No incense or coffee to be found, much less the other notes except for vanilla. That's all I get in the beginning and the dry down, vanilla. Looking forward to trying Montale's version of 'Full Incense' and hoping there will be a significant difference. Not only do I not get any of the notes, I can't detect any scent on my skin.

Love it is orange sweet wich I love because I don't like more citruses fragance, but this one is the right amount, after the opening pass I get The powderiness from the violet that make me smell my wrist all the time, is a love for me. Mancera gets me into another world of perfumery. I already have 11 perfumes from this brand and another 7 from montale.

I’m in love with this! One of the best incense frags I’ve tried. I get the incense right away and it gets more apparent as time goes on. I get no coffee. The incense has light florals on top which makes it sweet instead of the astringent kind of incense. Very airy and sweet, beautiful!

I bought a sample from luckyscent, as this perfume, based on the notes it had, it was something that I would wear. I am in love with it. Can't wait to buy it. As one reviewer said, it is indeed a statement maker, so rich, and memorable, very unique, unlike any other.

Mmmm I really like this. I see it as signature type of scent. Very appropriate for many occasions and won't offend anyone. No not a ground breaking fragrance but I don't have anything in my collection that smells like it. Glad to have it.

This is a multidimensional fragrance, definitely the one that is going to make a statement. I absolutely love it! Especially the amount of compliments it receives.

I just got this and it has no sillage. I have to literally put my nose directly on my arm to smell anything. Did I get a bad batch? 🥲🥲

Wears better on a woman. Love the vanilla.
