Lemon Line

I am huge fan of Mancera fragrances, but I am not really a fan of the citrus-aromatic, freshie type scents. They're okay, but I don't own many because I don't wear them often enough. Well, I managed to finally put my nose on Lemon Line and shocked for two reasons: 1) how incredibly different it is from most of Mancera's lineup - even the non-oud scents and 2) just how I much I love this one; it's my new go-to citrus-aromatic for the warm Spring/Summer days. We're all familiar with the citrus-aromatic genre so I'm not going to go into great detail describing this fragrance other than to say I pickup on lots of lemon, a touch of lime, a freshly spiced aromatic vibe that is somewhat green and with vague hints of floral tones in the background. My fear with this fragrance were that the citrus notes would be overpowering (they are loud and proud in the opening), the lavender would be too aggressive and the scent would shit-the-bed and disappear in 2-3 hours. Instead, everything in this citrus-aromatic strikes the right balance and it performs extremely well for a citrus-aromatic. Performance is stellar in that Lemon Line lasts a solid 7-8 hours on my skin and projects slightly above average on my skin, which is great for this type of scent. Moreover, while I truly enjoy the citrus-aromatic top and heart phases,I most enjoy the drydown when the musky-woody vibe ramps up and the citrus-aromatic tones fade into the background. If you wanna know what this smells like then imagine mixing a bottle of Chanel Allure Edition Blanche with C.O. Bigelow Lemon No. 1999 and tossing in touch of that Mancera musky woody DNA...and ramp-up the quality. Overall, a very fine citrus-aromatic that you should try if you're into this kind of fragrances. Peace! Update: although I have never tried to layer this one with Cedrat Boise (never thought of it) I'll give it a try as mentioned above. Moreover, I layer this with Kumkat Wood and the Lemon-Woody combo makes a much better fragrance IMO.

This is an incredible citrus fragrance, and by far the most powerful one I've smelled. It starts off with a very realistic tart lemon with hints of green bergamot and orange. As it dries down, it ends up smelling like lemon candy but not in a cloying or cheap way, but rather very luxuriously done (though with a bit of sweetness that increases the longer you wear this). The fragrance really reminds me of Anglia Spiced Limes but on steroids. It remains lemon-dominant for the duration of the fragrance (incredible for any citrus fragrance), but gets more of the oakmoss, lavender, and white musk notes overtime, especially after about 5 hours. It's extremely strong in the opening with huge sillage and projection, while sillage becomes moderate after 3 hours but leaning on the strong side. This itself is a feat for a lemon-based fragrance to have such great sillage. Longevity is also insanely beastmode! In fact I wore this and it lasted for over 12 hours on my skin. I then went to sleep, woke up and took a shower, and put on another shirt. And I was shocked to notice I could still smell it on my new shirt (I had originally sprayed just two sprays on my neck). The fragrance definitely leans masculine. Overall, this is a really fantastic lemon offering - possibly the best lemon fragrance for men out there (barring Profumum Roma Acqua Viva, however that is a really pricey niche fragrance). It's lemon done in a really classy and gentleman-like way; I could wear this for regular days but I think it would work best when dressing up and in the evening. This is one of my top 5 fragrances of all time. 5/5

🍊 🍋 🍬 Mancera lemon line: A Citrus Candy fragrance with a hint of lavender? 🤔 🧐 And NO this dose not “straight up smell like a lemon” as some Youtuber said. There’s definitely other sweet citrus’s aside then the main player which is lemon, in this fragrance. If this was only a lemon dominant fragrance it would be off putting and probably make you smell sour or like a cleaning product. Anyone who is interested you don’t have to worry this fragrance is sweet and citrusy. Also This fragrance lasts for HOURS!! no joke I sprayed and tested this on my wrist and in the 13th hour I can smell this scent. That's when I decided to purchase a full bottle after testing my 5ml sample and finishing it. Many people say this smells strictly like a lemon that’s not true at all. This fragrance smells like a sweet lemon candy or lemon drop nothing medicinal like Halls's lemon drops. However, the Mancera lemon line is a sweet/tart-smelling fragrance. To my nose, I get a huge dose of lemon enveloped with Kumquat, and on the dry down once this fragrance settles the lavender comes through although it’s subtle you can still pick it up. I get a lot of compliments people say this is very alluring especially on hot humid days here in NYC. This fragrance does the job and you don’t have to spray a lot only a maximum of 3-5 sprays will get the job done. Bottom line rating: 11/10 all around and this fragrance smells like sweet lemon candy with orange citruses and lavender.

This is a great summer fragrance, better than a lot of 'fresh' fragrances. The smell is not that of lemon sweets as others have said, its not that sweet but rather more aromatic. Many people I think, confuse the smell of a fresh cut lemon to the taste of a lemon. The smell is aromatic and slightly sweet, the taste is tart and sharp. Many fragrances have the tart/sharp aspect when trying to represent the citrus but I don't think thats a realistic smell of lemon. This on the other hand does have the SMELL of a freshly cut lemon, very refreshing and bright with a slight touch of sweetness. The lavender and other notes make it interesting and slighly classy but it can still be worn casually. This fragrance is simple but in the very best of ways. My wife and other women I've asked really like this over something like Aventus. Reality is that frags like Aventus get more compliments/attention from dudes. Most women I know prefer a fresh and clean smell. It's also long lasting and quite strong. I got it for £60, unbelivable value. I said it's a great summer frag above but it's strong enough for other seasons.

Does what it says on the tin. Lemon from start to finish. I thoroughly enjoy this as it's the longest lasting lemon scent I've found and it smells incredible. I've seen people mention cleaning products or lemon candy. To me, Lemon Line is the scent of peeling back the skin of a sweet meyer lemon and forcing the membranes within the skin to release their heady, herbaceous oils. The oakmoss and floral bouquet of zingy geranium, aromatic lavender and soft jasmine really amplify the sweet, herbal qualities of the winter lemon variety. Projection is soft after a few minutes of wear, but it lasts for a good 4-6 hours - even longer on clothes. The two fragrances I find this most closely resembles are Dior's Eau Sauvage Cologne (2015) and Annick Goutal's Eau d'Hadrien Eau de Parfum. The Dior undoubtedly lasts the longest, but it becomes a lot less lemony and much more woody/musky as it dries down. I don't understand the comparisons to Dior Homme Cologne. That one is all about Neroli and sugary Sprite to my nose.

I didn’t buy this before for all the comparisons with lemon-pledge, and lemon drops... and these reviews were right. The opening is very synthetic, strong chemical lemon smell, which turns creamier as time passes, cleaning products+lemon drops 🍬. Not a natural smell, and this goes on for about an hour, but then the magic happens! Lemon, meets Musk and Amber, and after falling in love at first sight, they blended so well with each that they will never again be able to be apart, and as time passes their bodies merged into one perfect non-binary love triangle, that will last, and last, and last... First day, I didn’t want to venture full fledge in unknown territory, so I sprayed shyly twice... I received three compliments, 4th, 5th and 8th hour, and it kept going on for a few more hours... the dry-down has “vibes” of allure homme edition blanche. It’s that good! *(before you jump off your seat, I didn’t say smells alike 😉)

Lemon Line was one of three manceras that I first originally purchased (vetiver sensuel and intense cedrat boise were the other two) and I was instantly satisfied with my purchase. I heard someone say it reminded them of Nio so I knew I had to pick it up. Nio smells a little more natural and subtle, but Lemon line is a tad bit sweeter and lasts much longer. Out of the two I still prefer Nio, but Lemon line at a fraction of the price hits that itch and projects and lasts longer too. Now don't get me wrong it doesn't last 12+ hours, but it does last easily 6-8 (7 average) hours on my skin and for a citrus based fragrance that's pretty good and definitely above average. A great starter fragrance from the house if you haven't tried any of their offerings. Definitely a recommend, just don't over spray as it will come out as slightly synthetic. 3-4 sprays goes a long way.

I love this one. It’s nothing mind-blowing but it’s very unique and I never smelled anything quite like it. There’s something I would describe as ‘fuzzy’ about it. It smells fuzzy and soft. You can detect most of the notes. Bitter lemon, sweet orange, florals, a soft musk based with a very heavy oak moss. It’s like burying your face in a fluffy fleece blanket that is beautifully scented. But the scent is very masculine from the oak moss. I usually don’t love too much moss but I really enjoy it with Lemon Line. There’s a mustiness but a clean musty smell. It smells even better then next day when spray on clothes. On a side note, I've never been into layering fragrances at all. It just never appealed to me. But a few days ago I sprayed Creed Aventus on my shirt that still had Lemon Line on it from the previous day and it was amazing! Happy accident.

Love!!! Exactly what I was hoping for. Nice zesty LEMON! Needed a more appropriate Summer selection and I first tried the Lemon Mint from the same line and gave it away. Gritti Mango got me closer. But I got some samples of this and I’m now off to get a whole bottle! I personally don’t think this smells like a household cleaner or pledge at all. Too bad a lot of people associate these things together. It does settle down and have a little sweetness to it. I’d love to buy or trade for an early formulation if anyone has a bottle or can point me to one please. Highly recommend, but that’s coming from a nobody that doesn’t know the nuances that everyone likes to wax poetic about. I just know what I perceive as smelling good and not so good.

Not many reviews for this one which is surprising, it's an undiscovered gem! Juicy, natural lemon/lime on a bed of lavender, oak moss and musk. Very potent and long-lasting, and all-around well liked by those in your scent bubble. I get a smooth almost sandalwood vibe from this although sandalwood isn't listed as a note. Nothing at all in common with laundry detergent... not even close! Perhaps if a niche house offered a high-end laundry detergent some day it may smell something like this, but saying it smells like detergent or synthetic is way off base. Criminally underrated if you like citrus aromatics! I've owned many and only a few have lasted through the years in my collection.

First time I use it was at the beginning of summer. Too much lemon candy for me, so I put it back into the drawer until now (fall). I was looking for a lemon note as I can find in Guerlain HR in the opening (I'm addicted to it), and I remembered this gem, so I gave it another chance. This time Lemon line was awesome, very bold and balance. The opening now is a little sweet and the dry down is a classic lemony. This perfume is outstanding for spring and fall at least, let's see in winter, but IMO definitely not for summer or only one or two sprays top (too intense). For me is good for office or casual events. Performance is above average as most of Mancera's perfumes.

I like the smell of lemons, but that's not why I love this. Sure, it starts off like a literal blast of lemons, which I can see can be a bit too much for some people (my wife included). But when it dries down, that's when several other things come in to calm the whole thing down. Not sure which of the notes does it, but it ends up a lightly floral, warm lemony scent that I can't just seem to get enough of. This isn't a monster performer, but it lasts long enough for me.... I peg it at 6 hours lasting on me, never really projecting strongly. And through all that time, a very pleasing and soothing personal scent for me. Gonna buy a full bottle one of these days.

This fragrance is very nice, fresh, and clean. Great alternative to AdP Bergamotto di Calabria. AdP is more expensive and more weak compared to this one. Don’t get Acqua di Parma, just get this one. Though I must warn, this one can get a LITTLE bit synthethic, but I personally find it unobstrusive. Additional Notes: I don’t find Cedrat Boise and Aoud Lemon Mint to be interesting, for me it’s just overhyped. Additionally, I don’t find Cedrat Boise to be similar to Aventus. Same with Aoud Lemon Mint, I have this hope of a very bright lemon fragrance, turns out to be something else and I’m kinda disappointed tbh...

This was my first niche fragrance i have bought, it was 75 euros from notino for a 120ml bottle, and oh man i am happy i bought this. This is a masterpiece. The Opening is just the freshest most natural lemon. Little after spraying the lavender appears, the lemon is still very strong tho. When it has completely dried down, it becomes more sweet, a bit like a sugary lemonade, with some woodyness and muskyness. This is one of the few fresh fragrances i have tried that last. Lasts a good 8 hours. Sillage is very strong for the first half an hour, then it becomes weaker. 10/10 fragrance in my opinion.

This is a gorgeous affordable niche fragrance. It opens with a fresh sweet, but not too sweet,lemon that stays for the duration of the fragrance but as it progresses the lemon tones down significantly and the soft florals and the clean soft musk start appearing, at this point it turns extremely elegant but fresh. In my skin the lemon is very toned down but in my clothes it’s still pushing. This is a very elegant lemon fragrance perfect for the office days specially in warmer months here in Florida. If you like citrus fragrances this is a safe blind buy with great sillage and longevity(7-8 hours).

Nose Note #955 I just love how perfectly naturalistic this lemon opening is. Literally smells like freshly squeezed lemon juice. Wow. On the other hand the whole composition is rather simple and does remind you of a typical lemon air freshener, but that's oversimplification. Man, what a pleasant surprise. Mancera and Montale are two very fun brands for sure. And it's pretty strong for a super fresh scent! What a joy! Maybe slightly leaning masculine, it does remind me slightly of something like Dior Homme Cologne, but this is much more fun! 8.8/10, just great great great

Very good citrus-lavender-woods (moss) combo imo surrounded by mainly geranium and musk. The advantage besides just smelling plain good is that this has above average longevity and good projection, especially first 1.5 hrs. Another advantage for Cedrat Boise owners is that this stuff is to be perfectly layered with CB! The combintaion of those two works like magic and gives CB a fresher touch or Lemon Line a heavier touch if you will. Inoffensive and perfect for warmer days/evenings for just smelling fresh, luxurious and good! Thumbs up! Rating 8.5/10

Recently purchased Mancera Lemon Line. Mancera is fast becoming my favourite brand. This offering is awesome. First thing is the very beautiful bottle with strong magnetic cap. Quality presentation! Love at first spray....the opening is a burst of lime, zesty bright fizzy lime. The after 15 mins or so the lemon comes through more. The dry down holds the lemon lime notes while adding a touch of woody oak moss. Beautiful fragrence with decent performance. As lemon freshies go its solid....doesnt disappear like a fart in wind. First of all, it's LIME and not lemon. It should be called Lime Line. And yes it's mighty powerful, in fact the most powerful and longest lasting lime in my experience, yet with a very stong lavender which isn't one of my favorites but really does work well with the lime. Thank you kindly for the recommendation of layering this with Cedrat Boise as I own both and oprobably never would have put these two together. The combination works really well, like a full bodied tutti fruity with some unexpected spiciness and some floral. Nice combination!

Good lord, this is a beast. Smells like lemon drops candy. The super strong opening makes me feel almost embarrassed to wear it. At the same time, it smells lemony fresh great. I get the impression of high quality as when I spray it on it stays very oily for a while. Once it dries down, it gets a little tamer, but still stays super lemony. I actually found it layers wonderfully with fragrances that benefit from a lemon kick. As I write this review I realize I've written lemon too many times. I think you get the point.

Probably the first time i'm jumping on the fragrantica bandwagon and agree with everyone else without any doubts. It really smells like lemon candy. if you were paying $30 per candy. It's very luxurious. It's lemon (more like lime) done right. Worth having in a growing collection, but you can easily skip this, not missing out on much. I personally like it and would be using it! I imagine layering this with Terre d'Hermes or Red VEtiver by Montale would create some beast. Will see and update if need be.

This takes me somewhere to the 70’s or 80’s. I swear I’ve smelled this before in some soap or deodorant I used back then. The lemon and lime are very prominent but not sharp at all since the musk and florals smooth it all out nicely. The drydown is quite nice with the oak moss adding some masculinity and character. I love it. It’s very fresh and also a little earthy. There’s almost a lemon sorbet or sherbet creaminess to it, or maybe lemon cake but it’s not really gourmand. Full bottle worthy.

Pierre Montale's take on the Lemon/Orange Eau de Cologne scent profile, in EDP concentration. The Geranium/Lavender/Oak Moss trio adds a subtle, classic Aromatic Fougere touch, and there's a hint of White Flowers that nicely complements the Ambery/Musky dry down. I don't get the lemon candy / cleaning product associations. The citrus notes in this EDP are tart and realistic. It's a smooth, masculine leaning and timeless fragrance. For best results, apply it before putting on your shirt.

Mancera - Lemon Line is my latest summer favourite fragrance. It starts off with a strong yet delightful lemon note & on the drydown it gets a mix of Lavender & floral notes. It smells really good & masculine, IMO. But more than the scent, what I like most about it is the Performance. On a hot and humid summer day, it lasts upto 3/4 hrs easily (while most others don't last beyond 1 hr). So, for the upcoming hot summer months, Mancera Lemon Line is definitely worth checking out.

Lemon Line is just lemon candy love! The combination of synthetic lemon and lavender, although unappetizing on paper, is surprisingly very well done here. The sillage is also very good as you keep getting whiffs over a long time. The performance on skin is a good 7-8 hrs, which is great for a freshie. The candied sweetness does make it a tad cloying in the high heat 40+ degrees days but is absolutely perfect for 30-40 degrees. Can be worn as an office scent too.

Very interesting cologne by Mancera. The smell of lemon candy is definitely clear with this one. I personally am liking it the more I keep smelling it. The lemon and lavender come across very clean and fresh. The performance is great like all Manceras are. If you like the smell of lemon and lavender then this is the fragrance for you. I personally enjoy it and appreciate the fact that it’s different. I personally haven’t smelled any cologne like this before.

Yo @Demiurgo83 (comment below me), I'm wondering, how can you hate the smell of fresh & clean? Do you also hate hygiene and showering? This is the cleanest, safest, most inoffensive Mancera offering and one of the best office fragrances out there, everyone in the meeting room will ask you what ur wearing because its just so reinvigorating and its not generic...and yet you hate it? Did you even consider what this fragrance might've been created for? lol

This was my first niche fragrance and let me tell you, this is a 10/10 beautiful masterpiece. It may not be the most unique scent, but it’s just so realistic. It just smells like a nice glass of lemonade. And the performance is just ahhhh. Spray it on clothes and it will lasts. Few days and spray it on skin on a hot summer day, and it will project like crazy. Beautiful 10/10 lemon scent. 100% blind buy available unless you pay 180 at retail.

This fragrance and Allure Homme Edition Blanche made me fall in love with lemony fragrance. Whereas Edition Blanche by Chanel gives lemon meringue pie, this gives more of a "lemonade cocktail". It's refreshing on a hot summer day, very uplifting and it just RADIATES off of the skin. This was a total blind buy and I'm super happy about it. If I had to nit-pick, longevity isn't really the best, but its projection is amazing.

lovely sweet lemon scent. if you're from the uk, you could compare it to the smell of sherbet lemons. its basic, but its perfect at the same time. I use this all year round, but it's definitely better for warm/hot weather! if you like citrus/lemon fragrances, give it a go. I wouldn't blind buy though, because some people think it smells like toilet cleaner. to me though its a refreshing, citrus and affordable fragrance!

Great fragrance for hot weather. Fresh burst of lemon that dries down to a perfectly clean scent. To me it smells like a freshly laundered white T-shirt and a sunny day. While the lemon is intense in the beginning I've found the dry down is where it's at. At times it gives me expensive laundry and others a sparkling fougere. 8.5/10 Will always be in my summer rotation

I didn't expect that. My beloved Blenheim Bouquet Penhaligon's turns out to have a reserve! The difference is Blenheim Bouquet emphasizes more side notes, which combining with lemon/lime core creates a unique incomparable aroma. But if you liked Blenheim Bouquet and didn't like it for technical reasons – you should definitely try this one. P.S. I love Mancera.

Smells like a slightly more masculine version of Acqua Viva Profumum Roma. I love wearing citrus fragrances during spring and summer. So I’m looking forward to wearing in the warmer weather. But wished it smelled more different than the aforementioned fragrance above. But it’s worthy of a blind buy for the price for citrus lovers I’d give it 7.8 out of 10

Holy smoke!! 💛😍 I'm amazed from this beauty! Easily on my top 3 Mancera fragrances! This is Mancera No. 8 for me and I'm so glad that I finally got it! I can't understand what everyone says about that "wc cleaner" vibe.. NOT AT ALL! This is a fresh, sweet, sugary sexy lemon 🍋 Perfect for the spring and the summer time season! A big 10/10 for me!

Huh wow this is exactly a lemon pastry! So realistic! Smells like a Dutch bake called in English "buttercake" but with loads of lemon and lime added. Fantastic yummy, smells edible. It's totally linear, fades off gently with fine longevity. The scent itself is genius. A fresh lime pastry like crazy, nomnomnom

This has been one of my mid summer go to fragrances. Magical in the air, and magical skin with crazy performance for a freshie. Smells expensive and super clean . On a scale 1-10 and 10 being the masculine id say its around a 7. A great switch up if you need a little break from the super fresh aquatic scents

A nice, fresh citrus scent with a soft, smooth, masculine base. Even though it’s a bit mossy it somehow smells very clean. There’s something gourmand about the citruses, like gelato or lemon cake. Citruses are smooth and not sharp. Very enjoyable for summer.

This is such a good lemon fragrance. I absolutely love the lemon note in this. Hard to pick up any other notes aside from lavender. Longevity is long lasting and sillage is above average. Overall I'm very impressed and I love the fragrance. 9.5/10.

This LL opening really smells like lemon candy with a tiny hint of minty aroma. Then its drydown to a dry oakmoss musky with a touch of lemon zest. But the price at discounter is quite high than the rest of Mancera. But I really like this.

If you like lemon fragrances, you will love this. This smells like a sugared lemon in the best way. Excellent sillage and longevity. My elderly aunt loved it and made two comments about how good it smelled, so I'm happy.

At first, the lemon is a little overpowering, but the dry down.... WHEW boy, beautiful. Reminds me of a classic gentleman scent like Dior's Eau Sauvage. I get tons of compliments

Oh what a masterpiece! I've had it for about a year and yesterday it garnered me a few compliments. It lasted 12h on me with insane projection the first 2 hrs.. What a gem! 🍋

Opening was sweet citrusy lemon candy, dries down to calming powdery lavender. You can overspray this one. Not done in a Mancerian way. Maybe on Acqua di parma line.

it's good, last a decent length of time on my skin. To me, it smells like Country Time Lemonade powder before you add it to water.

Very citrusy and fresh, the good thing about it is that lavender and oakmoss are providing good background to the scent.

YES, it is BYREDO Oud Immortel! ALSO a bit of DIOR Cologne:) The best time, of course, it's Fall and Spring ( daytime )
