Although, if you were to compare the two fragrances - Soleil D'Italie is MUCH BETTER (citrus/aquatic/fresh/aromatic fragrance) than Acqua Di Gio. All the other erroneous fragrance comparisons are garbage and likely created by misguided neophytes with fragrances! Importantly, there's absolutely nothing generic or cheap smelling about Soleil D'Italie! Correct, Soleil D'Italie isn't a complex/challenging summer fragrance. If you are a guy that likes or are looking for a new "citrus", "aquatic", or "freshy" summer colognes -- just blind buy Soleil D'Italie, as it will probably be the best or one of your best summer fragrances that you own. While a woman can definitely wear Soleil D'Italie, I find it to be one of the handful of masculine leaning releases from Mancera. Overall: Scent 9.5/10 Performance 8.5/10 (up to 10+ hours depending on skin type and number/location of sprays) Projection/Sillage: 8.5/10

Perfectly blended. You get the smooth aquatic nature with florals and citrus. Nothing in the forefront though. It's all so perfectly blended. The opening may turn some off because the florals and cardamom are loud but after 15-20 minutes it's all smoothed out. It's very rich but somehow still light and airy at the same time. Do not spray on your hand and feel like you're getting the idea on how it smells. You have to give a full wear so you can live in the bubble and truly experience it. I made the mistake of judging it first off my hand and it took a couple months before I said what the hell. Four sprays and an hour later and I was enjoying it very much living in the sillage. It almost has a cooling effect with the way the florals and aquatic notes work together. Very good juice. Scent: 8.75/10 Sillage: 8/10 Longevity: 7.5/10 Overall: 8.5/10

Wow, i love it more with continuous wearings. A multifaceted multilayered freshie which can do well in all seasons less winters (yet to test in winters). Why i say multifaceted and multilayered because it reminds so many ppl of so many fragrances, still it is unique. Projects really well though i get nose blind in a few mins i still get the feedback. Longevity is great for a freshie. I get juicy citric opening with hints of vetiver and Rose, Dry down includes mild floral and light sweet notes with citus. Far dry down is where vetiver shines with other notes. Versatile, you can wear at any occasion from gym to dressed up and office scenarios. I only found it a bit cloying in 45°C days. For me it is 10/10. ........ Edit... Great for winters in my area, where temperature fell below 0°C. Love it even more. High quality. 10/ 10 scent.

one of the best since sicily and cedrat boise, but not just another fresh mancera.the citrus elements in this on the first 2 hours itself makes this a BUY.drydown is a lil peppery darker and green, which is also nice.beast mode for a fresh perfume.the acquatic in this is not a problem even if you hate fresh perfumes.the vitamin C fruits are what makes this a JANEMAN, as we say in subcontinent....meaning a SWEETHEART. this will work all year round and I got 3 compliments yesterday from people, after just 1 Day of full wearing. it projects so well. last 3 manceras.... Soleil, Jardin exclusif and instant crush are absolute wins for me...very happy im giving this a 10 for 120ml, beastly performance and the mouthwatering citrus fruity notes. must try :)

What I get with this fragrance is the tartness of citrus fruits followed by the freshness of the Aquatic notes followed by the Rose. Then as it dries down I get the cleanliness of the Vetiver. Out of all the freshies from Mancera this will be my easy dumb reach for the summer and my favorite. Fresh and clean that's the vibe I get with this fragrance. This does remind me D&G Light Blue but Soleil d'Italie has much better performance. I get at least 8-9 hours, not a heavy projector but you do get warfs of the scent throughout the day. You can wear this in any situation during the warmer months and be smelling great in the process. This will always be in my collection.

Soleil d'Italie is another amazing scent by Mancera! So clean, refreshing, transparent, uplifting, natural and harmonious!!! When you think of perfect "Summer In a Bottle" - that could be the ideal choice! Mancera is releasing hit after hit and I'm so happy to see they give us another top quality summer scent! When I say top quality, I mean Soleil d'Italie is on the same level as the biggest players in the refined citrus game as Atelier Cologne, Diptyque, Hermès, Guerlain, Cartier and so on. I'm sniffing again Soleil d'Italie - mmmm! I'm in love! Green, sparkling, crisp, leafy, breezy, airy, carefree, happy...True heaven!

Amazing summer fragrance , especialy in high heat weather ..i'm living in a tropical country and got many compliments wearing this ..Busrt of bergamot , mandarin orange in beginning give ppl uplifting pleasant and bit of woodie feel in dry down with vetiver and cedar wood .. Performance is 8hour plus on my skin consider outside weather is very hot , very good performance !!Got this bottle 80$ for 120ml , love it !! Update : my 1st bottle have better longevity than my 2nd , 8 hours+ compare to 5 hours .. but i think it's enough for outdoor activities .

This does smell close to dg light blue intense,this one tho does it much better and smoother,opens up with beautiful citruses,rose and watery notes,in the dry down it turns sweeter but not in a feminine way,its just the perfect balance of freshness and sweetness,smells like i am in florence on a night out wearing some linen pieces on a balcony. Longevity could be better but for a freshie its actually good:6 hours with moderate projection but aint no problem ima spray this one 20 times in the summer.Great summer fragrance.9/10

Yet another high-quality, affordable niche offering that is grossly underrated. I'm not really all that surprised anymore. Light, easy-to-wear citrus/watery/floral musk grounded nicely by a touch of woods and vetiver. Not enough to throw the blend out-of-balance, but just a touch to keep it from going too far unisex or feminine. This is a really nice fragrance for spring and summer casual wear. This stuff is an absolute steal on discounters. Longevity and sillage are average for me. And that is enough.

Very fresh. Citrusy at the top and aquatic at the base with some musk and rose. I'm in a love hate relationship with the rose in this one. The rose and musk make it feel feminine, especially in the drydown, but it also gives it a touch of elegance and class which I like. As a man, I feel I can't pull this one off if I wear it casually all the time, but I think I would if I dress it up. This one has good longevity and projection for a freshy (8 hours longevity and 1 hour of decent projection)

Soleil d'Italie by Mancera, on first spray I thought wow, this smells like a beast mode version of Candies for men, By Liz Claiborne. I haven't smelled Candies in over ten years so I was surprised that was my first impression. I loved the smell of candies, and I love the smell of Soleil d'Italie. I know this fragrance is missing the watermelon note, but somehow it's a very similar DNA. If you enjoyed Candies, blind buy this.

Pleasant lightweight cloud of bright mildly juicy-sweet citruses, soft rose and a delectable balmy base. It's invigorating, uplifting, highly versatile and refined, suits any occasion year round (where I live). Nice sillage and good longevity. An absolutely wonderful classy composition with a feel good factor. My natural daily driver. I just love the aura this fragrance produces, pure wearing pleasure. Freshness perfection.

IMO...perfect niche zesty citrus-aquatic blend. Evokes warmth & sunshine. ☀️ Spring & summer days & nights yearn for this fragrance. ❤️ And it deepens in a delicious way after macerating for some time. On my skin, the dry down leaves a delightful musky trail which I adore. 🥰 4/4/23--took this out for the spring & homigosh!!! 😲🫢I didn't think it could smell even better but somehow it did just that. 😙

I love this scent; it relaxes me immensely. I could wear this all season here in western India(our winters are between 10-20 deg C) Primary notes for me are floral and citrus. Citrus is a smooth kind which blends seamlessly with the floral. Layering it with Guerlain Vetiver adds another interesting dimension. Try it! Projection is good but longevity is on the left side of moderate. Overall 4.5/5

My go to spring and summer day fragrance. Also my favorite citrus fragrance. Gets me tons of compliments. Performance is great, 12+ hours on my skin, and it projects off my skin like crazy. I visit amusement parks often and this fragrance gets me compliments like crazy. My scent trail fills up the lines for roller coasters and people love it! For the price this is a must own in my opinion!

Very good summer scent, has a very strong citrus opening but after the dry-down it's a lot more subtle and smells more aquatic and beachy. On clothing the citrus seems to be more noticeable, but on my skin at least, the aquatic notes stand out the most, almost like a sunscreen smell but in a good way. Can't go wrong with this scent, great buy for the summer, beaches, and hotter weather.

JUICY AS HECK! Same juicy vibe as Cedrat, but with candied fruits rather than a fresh zingy blackcurrant. Staying power and projection all above average. Smelling this reminds me of swimming up to a cocktail pool bar in the blazing heat. Just gone through my decant and I'll be purchasing this for the summer. Another top quality scent from Mancera.

This is simply mass appeal in a bottle. It smells like a lot of fragrances you've smelled before so it's not unique but it's done right. To my nose, it's like a mix of Bleu de Chanel, Acqua di Gio, Dior Homme Cologne, and Artisan Pure. If you like at least two of these, you're gonna like this too. Easy to wear and performs very well for me.

This one and Vetiver Sensuel share similar smells like 90%. The opening has a very fresh citrus lime. The drydown has very intimate musk and woody. Suitable high summer heat. Its project 2feet in first 1hour and 1feet for like 3hours and fall to skin scent after 5hr. Worth blind buy for citrus lover. Good value for money for its 120ml.

Drakecito must have the skin of pepperoni pizza...bro, try a shower once in awhile. This bottle is a strong performer on all fronts. Projects well, great sillage, lasts a long time. It's a beautiful summertime freshie with some aspects of a few things like citrus, woods, ambergris, slightly green, etc. It's a great release. 8/10

Soft, cozy, natural citrus. Reminds me of a relaxing holiday in Italy, lounging around a small town. Not a zesty, energizing scent...more of a chill, relaxing, lazy day scent. Reminds me a bit of Acqua di Parma vibes in being natural, soft, and relaxing. Good longevity for a citrus freshie. Scent: 8 / Longevity: 7 / Sillage: 7

This to me is a Niche version of D&G light blue pour Homme for Men. It’s classy citrus spices, fresh, aquatic and woody. Clean and masculine. Perfect for spring and summer wear, versatile enough for any spring/summer occasion. Great scent, and a freshie with good performance.

I really didnt like the opening, it was powdery and nearly acrid. The dry down however smells very similar to CK one but more luxurious (which i actually love). it sort of has a clean laundry smell, which in my opinion is one of the most pleasant scents ever known to man.

Great scent from the house, it smells soapy, musky with some citruses holding it up. Just a clean scent in the same family as LV meteore, but I personally prefer Soleil. Edit: I realized that my short post undersold this fragrance, for me it's easily top 5 from the brand.

This is beautiful ,easy to wear, notes changes like colours you will be chasing them all the time from dolce gabbana to chanels to mancera ...... Almost no silage and very weak performance but will stay on the skin and clothes for a while. Good for the price

My favourite fresh oceanic fragrance this summer. If you are tired of the usual designer citrus-aquatics, grab yourself a niche alternative and you will not regret it. Mancera's Soleil D' Italie is a top tier fragrance at a reasonable price.

Doesn't pack the punch that other Mancera releases have. The sunny, citrus forward DNA doesn't do much in terms of longevity and projection. It is likeable, but weak for the cost. I'd happily grab this up if it's on a discount.

I love it, a lot of naturals, but the issue is performance. This would have been a 10/10 if it can last a little more because this has an X-Factor, like getting every note just right for a spring or a summer day.

Bitter orange all the way when it opens and a watery rose follows. As time pass by it becomes a cedar, pacholi, rose combo lol very weird very nice. The aquatic feels stays till it dies.

Very Citrus aquatic that reminds me of Acqua di Gio Profuomo. I do recognize the Silver Mountain Water leaning comparison. I will more than likely wear this year round.

Theres a vibe from Bond n9 I love NY for Fathers in the opening and dry down, a citrus/ floral in amber/ musk base. Here, the rose makes the difference. Nice

Why this isn’t talked about more I don’t understand. Smells like a mix of Dolce & Gabanna light blue with orange and Aqua Di Gio. A summer banger for sure.

A skin scent. I smell soapy vibe as well. But not off putting. I want to give this a go. I didn’t like their Sicily one but I liked this.

Very nice citrus aquatic and vetiver. Both unique and pleasant. Absolutely unisex. Sillage is strong but the longevity is moderate.

Beautiful.. everyday all year 24/7 this thing works, longevity slightly above average and it is enough for a fresh scent.

Smells exactly like a niche version of YSL L'Homme but spicier, with better performance and projection.

Seems a lot of people are having differing experience with longevity. With that in mind... TL;DR: an unpretentious, semi-fresh fragrance that's pretty unisex, and for it's money - very well crafted. Develops interestingly turning a few cornerstones - which if you think about it is pretty important in keeping it interesting for yourself and those around you. You won't get tired of wearing this as you do from linears. At it's current price of ~$60 / 120ml (in my place at least) I think you could absolutely put this on your 'to sample' list. It's worth checking if performance and scent-wise this would work for you. Here's what I get on my skin and why it's not for me: - Starts off with a blast of citruses. There's a deep, juicy and pleasant quality to them. Wow - An hour into it that's mostly gone to a more floral overtone. Sitting closer to the body but it's still pushing off. It's become sweeter and a woody, musky base now making it's solid appearance - Another hour or so and that musky, woody foundation is now sporting a rose on top of it. It's quite the change and I perceive it as quite feminine at this point, while it was unisex/slightly masculine before - With time the sweet, woodsy and musky foundation is coming front and center till I actually don't perceive this as a freshy any longer. It's back to unisex too and perhaps even a touch warm. It becomes similar to other non-summer fragrances in their later stages. You could rock this in autumn in a bar! 3+ hours and it's slightly pushing off my skin but died down afterwards - At the 5-6+ hour mark and now but faint a skin scent - as if a light orange/citrus essential oil scent appears. No one but you would know it's there - but it's pretty pleasant and realistic :) When the 'rose' part comes along I perceive it as very feminine and don't feel as a guy I should be smelling like this. This is overall unisex but during it's development at times it leans masculine, other times feminine... if that makes sense. I could use slightly amped up performance the way this is on my skin, as unrealistic as this is for a freshie. So overall a no for me.

I have very mixed opinions on this one. I got a sample and as soon as a sprayed it on my hand I fell in love. Decided to wear it for a day, but then I became unimpressed. It’s hard to explain, but the overall tone of this fragrance sort of comes in waves. This to me seems like 2 completely different profiles fighting for control that refuse to blend nicely or accent one another. One is a very feminine generic-smelling rosy perfume, and the other is a stunning citrus, earthy, sunny scent that truly makes you feel like you are sitting under a fruit tree in Italy on a hot summer day. Unfortunately the musky rose scent smells like the perfume section of a department store and sticks out like a sore thumb against the imagery of the rest of the fragrance. The clashing themes and strong feminine-leaning vibe of this just put me off from buying a bottle. And I like unisex fragrances too, but this just doesn’t work on me no matter how much I want it to. I do appreciate the artistry and overall think it’s a decent fragrance, but I feel that it just struggles to decide what it wants to be. I’m open however to revisiting this in the summer.

Soleil d'Italie is a newish freshie offering from Mancera, a relatively safe formula of citruses, pink pepper, cardamom, rose, patchouli, vetiver, cedar, ambergris, and white musk. For me, it’s mostly a citrus/vetiver/pepper mix. I hardly get any rose or patchouli, which probably keeps the blend a bit on the safer side, and unfortunately, a little less interesting than one might expect from the Mancera/Montale empire. Still, this is a nice, fresh fragrance, perfectly agreeable, particularly for warmer weather wearing. It’s fresh but at least has a little bit of heft in the ambergris/vetiver/cedar dry down. It’s modest, mostly apropos for warmer weather, but falls short of being more interesting than most fragrances. Selfridge’s US site shows the smaller 60ml size as priced at $132, so presumably the larger standard size of 120ml is the $180-200 range. As with most Mancera and Montale offerings, full retail pricing is difficult to justify, but Soleil d’Italie would need to be especially discounted for me to consider it. 7 out of 10

An impression of Dior Jadore In Joy by Mancera. Expect a prominent aquatic note with salty nuances, supported by unisex white florals, ylang and a touch of bulgarian rose with the green stem attached. Musky orange citrus works quietly in the background for the first two hours. A clean, thin vetiver reveals itself in the deep drydown. Not as much citrus as I was expecting. The aquatic note is high quality, not the calone type found in Acqua di Gio. The note pyramid above is largely misleading to my nose, possibly to avoid comparisons to the Dior. Longevity is 12 hours with strong projection for the first 2 hours. Can be pulled off by both genders but this will challenge men, whereas women will be familiar with this summer style.

I have a sample of this perfume Its intensity is average with a duration within what are Mancera perfumes, about 9 hours. It is true that citrus perfumes are not too much to my liking and when I use them it is more in hot weather. After browsing all the notes that the perfume has, I am disappointed to find myself with a very citrus perfume and with more citrus, which practically turn off the rest of the notes, the rose, the woods ... are turned off by the citric tones. Certainly those who like very citrus perfumes will enjoy this perfume, which to give us an idea is very much like Acqua di Parma perfumes. In my case I prefer other Mancera perfumes.

I definitely smell the resemblance to ADG here, and I actually prefer this. The salty calone vibe takes a step back, and that delicious Mancera rose steps forward for a twist on that classic aquatic style scent. The performance is only so-so here, strong at first, and quickly settling down to small scent bubble. Only lasts about 4 hours, max. I find I reach for this a lot on the hottest days. You won’t choke anyone out, and none of the notes become cloying in the high heat. For me, it WOULD a solid 8/10 if the longevity were a little better, but because it doesn’t live up to other Mancera, it’s “only” a 7/10 that I wear at least once a week.

Orange/bergamot Citrus bomb! On the Opening, I get the mandarin orange, bitter orange, bergamot, and rose. On the dry down 3 hours in I still get the opening notes mixed in with aquatic notes and white musk and ambergris. This fragrance is very pleasing! If you like oranges this is your scent to buy. This scent reminds me of peeling oranges and the oils from the skin of the orange rise and splash against my skin. This fragrance reminds me of Aqua Allegoria Mandarine Basilic by Guerlain but with crazy longevity and sillage. Scent profile: alluring, fresh, masculine Longevity: 8/10 Sillage: 9/10 Overall rating: 9.5/10

Surprisingly classical for a Mancera. It's not just all strong base notes, there's an honest-to-god scent pyramid of top, heart and base. At first spray it’s rosey and perfumey - a bit “old lady” to be fair. However the lime and cardamom quickly come to the fore and this smells ... sexy and delicious. I love the heart phase of this one, really amazing on the skin. The drydown is creamy musk. These transitions happen pretty quickly and this would mainly suit hot days when you want something light. Not quite full bottle worthy for me, but I’ll use up my travel bottle in the summer for that heart-phase hour of joy.

I wanted to love this fragrance, it smells like a simpler, more floral version of Acqua di Gio. It's a well done light citrus, rose and musk fragrance. But for some odd reason, it smells like an old woman's perfume sometimes when I wear it. Half the time I wear it smells insanely old and feminine, while the other half of the time it smells wonderful and unisex. I don't understand it at all, how a fragrance can smell so different on my skin. Because of that, I unfortunately decided not to buy a bottle, even though this smells great on me sometimes.

I like Soleil d'Itale, I'm not usually fond of aquatics but this suits me well. Opens up very bright and spicy, nothing spectacular but sets the tone early. The watery-rose-patchouli combination in the heart of this is so fresh and so clean, word to OutKast. This is something you wear on vacation near the water somewhere; not necessarily an island setting but somewhere along the coastline. Mancera excels at warm weather scents and this is more evidence of that. 7.5/10
