Vetiver Sensuel

Just wonderful. I am a vetiver obsessive and this is a fantastic and modern interpretation of the accord, worthy of the name Vetiver Sensuel. You'll struggle to find a cleaner vetiver. Bright citrus and bright vetiver harmoniously join hands, neither overpowering the other, to make the opening juicy and jubilant. As the mid approaches, more and more wood comes through, and I enjoy it more and more. A delicious and clean dry down then emerges, and continuously drifts towards a woodsy and soapy vetiver. This final act lingers for much longer than you could hope given its fresh character and opening. Vetiver Sensuel is a gorgeous, truly beautiful modernization of the note that for me, is indicative of a man's clean scent. When I want to smell clean, I go green, never blue. This modernization manages to reinvigorate the dusty off of the vetiver of past gentleman's scents, without ever abandoning or betraying the olfactory ideals and standards they set for generations to come. I'm highly impressed by VS. With hundreds of scents having come in and out of my collection, it's truly rare one feels too special for me to want to grab it every day. But this is one of those scents. However, it could very easily be worn daily as a signature scent. But for me, it's just too beautiful, and I appreciate it too much to make it mundane. I've yet to wear it in cooler weather, but its freshness lends itself stupendously to being worn in the heat. Masterful, clean, masculine, and elegant. I think the fairer gender could try wear this one, as that sort of thing is a highly individual decision, but to me, VS is a steadfastly and traditionally masculine scent.

This as of rignt now is my favorite Mancera. I love this fragrance. Mancera's can be quite synthetic. I actually don't find this synthetic. I've smelt more realistic citruses but this is still great. It opens up with citruses and some vetiver. It's a citrus bomb. First whiff I actually pick up on a fresh vetiver but then the citruses quickly take over. The orchid starts to show into the mid. The floral aspects become pretty prominent for about 20 minutes before you hit the dry down. This is where you need to be careful. Some will find the orchid note feminine. I actually like it but I can see some being turned off by it. The dry down is nice aswell. Clean, soapy, slightly woody fresh vetiver. I believe the name "vetiver sensuel" fits perfectly here. Some have noted that the title of vetiver is misleading. I disagree, the vetiver is present, it's just very clean, soft, and soapy. This actually might be the cleanest vetiver I've ever smelt. As seeing this is perfectly unisex the name really works. It's a sensual and soft take on vetiver. While it is very clean and citrus foward you need to sample this first since the florals will not be for everyone. I can see some finding this feminine. When I get whiffs of this in the air I'm in love. I get the image of a rainy foggy spring morning with a basket of citruses that are all wet from the rain. I truly get a foggy, rainy, and hazy like vibe from this. 7-8 hours of performance with moderate projection. In conclusion, it's that good sh*t. This is my Cedrat Boise

My LOORD!!!! This scent is so invigorating. A potential mood lifter. At first I was disappointed because the composition turned too sour and earthy on my skin when I put my nose to it directly. But then I caught whiffs of it in the air and was like "Is that me!!?". Its magic works remotely! On my skin it smells like freshly squeezed lime and salt. A salty, limey, bitter, rind made even more realistically crisp by the woody nuances of vetiver. I imagine someone just harvested fresh limes from their orchard and cleaned them in cold water for a meal and the limes are still attached to their stems. Later on in the dry-down off my skin it's almost lemonade or limeade-like in scent profile and its gorgeous. Off skin, in the air I get the combined aromas of the beautiful sweet orchid flower, the fresh mint and finally the woody and grassy vetiver to man-up the scent. This scent definitely reminds me of Guerlain Homme l'Eau Boisée and gets happy* points from me for that. However much like l'Eau Boisée, Mancera VS is not long-lasting about 4-6 hours maybe but has serious sillage when it exists. It goes in a direction of bright lime enhanced vetiver that personally reminds me of either a cold, foggy, dewy, morning in the mountains of Indonesia or a sunny warm midday on the beach in the caribbean. 🍋🌿🍈 God bless 9/10

Bright zesty green burst. The lemon lime and bergamot hits perfect. So juicy! Almost smells like a lemon head candy. As it dries a wonderful floral earthy accord comes out. Its a very fresh smell. It comes off much less bright and crisp comparef to other freshies. This feels slightly earthy and extremely smooth and rounded off. The vetiver is not dominant despite the name. Its there but its not the focal point, more of the major component of a recipe. The vetiver and floral greens are so fresh and organic. I feel like Im walking through a garden after a light rain. The Orchid note is beautiful. A few hours in there is a warm earthy base. I dont catch the woody notes strongly. The vetiver, oakmoss and patchouli ground with the fresh orchid. This is definitely one of the best spring and summer fragrances. I wouldnt consider this a "vetiver" scent by any stretch. Its not subtle nor prominent, its balanced and really accents the other notes. As it dries i also get a very subtle coconut suntan lotion vibe. But only close to the skin, at least for me. I keep going back to smelling periodically and its there. The sillage is good. The longevity is good as is typical of Mancera. Definitely one of my alltime faves by Mancera

Took me a while to fully get into it's vibe, not because it's challenging, but because it has alot to offer. Very classy and clean citrusy profile with all the other notes complimenting but not dominating it. It performs great, gives me almost 8 hours of longivety, and easily 3 hours of serious projection, can be dressed up or down. Lasts on clothes for days. The notes are blended very beautifuly, nothing is sticking out, if you don't like mint or pepper for example, don't be worried as you'll not notice them. Don't let the Orchid make you think it's feminine, I guess it's providing the juice with a different dimension of sophistication without turning it feminine. "it's blended with everything else and not sticking out". Great fragrance with reliable performance and excellent price. And yes, it does kill the heat. Allow it to macerate. Perfect for summer in general, humid places in particular. Not a dry perfume, which is a plus for summer. Some comments are comparing to Terre d'hermes? Really? No comparison, different scent profiles. You can ignore the reminds me of section, I'm into my 4th bottle now, and it reminds me of nothing mentioned or not mentioned. A very superior masterpiece. Signature scent material.

Vetiver Sensuel is an attempt by Mancera to escape from its usual scent pattern, just like Saharian Wind and Feminity, Mancera seems to try to expand its olfactory range. Vetiver Sensuel is a welcome addition to the family. With the burst of citruses in the opening which is led by lime, it has enough sourness and bitterness with the fruity aspect of the scent. Later on the mint comes out and brings the whole concoction into a mentholated-orange-candy territory, before turning into clean vetiver scent. The overall scent feels quite herbal and calming actually. maybe this is the "zen" aspect that is advertised in its ad... Actually it's kind of different than the zen that I expected. I was hoping for a green, and calming scent, but this one will do too. As for the bad news, for a Mancera, Vetiver Sensuel doesn't have enough staying power, unlike other Manceras. I wear this on my shirt, and it only projects moderately within 3 hours, and then I need to put my nose on my wrist to be able to smell it..... such a shame... I just wish this could project more, because the scent is gorgeous.

I only received Vetiver sensuel 2 days ago and my first feeling was disappointment . I expected a summer fresh and got a dense floral. At first anyway. Everyday I sprayed on my arm and noticed a transition from creamy opaque floral to crystalline citrus. The rare kind that achieves the balance between lightness,freshness and Longevity, presence. This is a clever blend. I'll edit if anything changes. Edit: 12th June 26 I really like this. Im a woman but love mens Perfumes especially the fresh ones for summer. This has an exceptional longevity. Mancera remains without a doubt my favourite niche house so far. Quality/price ratio is outstanding. Update: 30.07.26 Been wearing this perfume the whole of June and July. Through half a 120ml bottle already and I love it. It lasts all day in the current London heat wave. I spray in the morning after my shower at 6am and I can still smell it until my evening shower at 7.30pm. Highly recommended. Intimate sillage for sure so it can't offend anyone. Unisex, leaning masculine but I love it on me. Mancera remains one of my favourites niche houses.

I was looking for vetiver on the other end of spectrum(I already had Encre Noir A L'Extreme then). For my picky but non-trained nose this one is a very good buy. Opening is fresh and it projects for just under an hour on my skin. All the compliments I received while wearing this one were in first hour. It then makes good personal scent bubble for another 2 hours and by 3rd hour becomes very close skin scent. Another hour and it's gone. Dry-down is little more complex while still staying soft. As my bottle ages dry-down is getting better. It never gets to dry vetiver scent profile (Guerlain Vetiver, Encre Noir) and I like that. It doesn't have a strong presence, so this will be a great office scent. I would just freshen up mid-day. I wore it 4 times in low 40°F weather and it lasted only 2 hours for me. For me this is definitely a spring and summer scent. This is not a must buy or highly sought-after, but I doubt anyone will regret it unless they paid full retail. 7/10.

One of my most favourite Manceras for sure. This is so uplifting, calming and elegant fragrance, reminds you of walking by a soft green grass on the hills beneath the blue skies, with the sun shining bright in the air, while not being too hot, the cool breeze flowing over you, wow. So special really. It does remind me slightly of Nishane's Wulong Cha, but that is much more brighter. This scent lasts well, projects well when applied generously, and overall is a must must sample if you have come to respect this house. Everyone who tries this and gives it some time, would most definitely crave a full bottle. Personal scent, to elevate your mood and maybe of those near and close to you around. Fresh orange, mint, citruses open so amazingly well, really held together, and the subtle floral background gives this scent more character before it dries down to the vetiver-musk, woods backbone. Complex, inviting, gorgeous. Overall: 9/10

This is very clean, very uplifting and fresh. JUICY citruses, very edible and mouthwatering and gorgeous soothing vetiver drydown. And there's also something deliciously spicy to my nose in the drydown, not familiar with vetiver enough to determine if it's from that or something else. It has this essential oil vibe to it, if you ever been in those shops ran by some nice 50 year old hippie mom selling handmade soaps and crafts, this is the same vibe. To me this is very soothing and comforting. There's nothing dirty or overly earthy about this scent, the vetiver is very clean. This might be one of the most perfect signature-style fragrances I've ever smelt, hard to see anyone being offended by it. I think you can wear this year round but it slants more towards spring and summer. Really impressed by Mancera so far. Seems to have strong performance on me, lasts through showers.

Adding another review after using it over spring and summer. Scent: 9/10 -- Fresh citrus opening and travels through its note pyramid exactly for me. Though I get florals very early. It's an uplifting scent. Longevity: 6/10 -- Average. Lasts about 5 hours for me. Performance: 6/10 -- Moderate projection for 1.5 hour off my skin. Though scent bubble stays for 4 hours. Versatility: 9/10 -- I will avoid on coldest of days. But otherwise it can work anytime. It's great for hot weather. Can wear this dressed up or semi casual. Wearing Experience: 8/10 -- Puts me in Zen like state. I love it. I just wish it lasted longer. Mancera please create a parfum version of this. Overall: 8/10 -- After trying bunch of freshies over summer (in my limited exposure) this and TDH Eau Givree are the only ones that I truly enjoy.

Had my eye on this one for a long time. I was able to snag a tester for $70. The opening starts off with a juicy fresh citrus blast. On the dry down is where I pick up a soapy light vetiver with citrus and light woods. The scent starts off very citrus and floral heavy, then on the drydown is where the woods and vetiver amp up lightly and the scent starts to lean more masculine (IMO). Projection is good for the first hour or two, then the scent sits close skin. This is an excellent office or day time scent for the spring summer and fall. Nothing ground breaking by any means, but it is blended well and develops with time. If you see this for a good price, I would highly recommend getting it as it is getting harder to find for at discounters. Can easily be a dumb reach signature daytime scent. 8.5/10

Haven't really touched my decant and found someone selling a bottle online and I wore my decant of Vetiver Sensual again to decide if it's Full Bottle worthy. The decant has oxidized and macerated a little. It still opens sparkling brightly somewhat abit sharp and as the scent develops it's mid is much better. The highlight and beauty of the scent is towards and in it's drydown. Lovely and beautiful drydownm. So I'll say it's polarizing. What is it similar to? The opening is rather different but as it enter it's mid to drydown, Vetiver Sensual reminds me of Abit like Tom Ford Grey Vetiver with an added cirtus and flora note. Pretty good. For the drydown alone I feel it's worth a full bottle.

Nose Note #368 I have 9 from Mancera and I think this one is my favourite. Perfect as a mens fragrance. It gives off the vibes of some of my all time favourite fragrances: Cartier Declaration the original - big time, a little bit of Lalique Encre Noire Sport, and a little bit of Creed Silver Mountain Water, a little bit of Trussardi My Land too. Super fresh and last just enough. Without digging deep - the most prominent notes are lime, mint and vetiver. It's a little peppered. Beautiful. Has some level of sophistication. I think most people would like this. Could work as a gift to a person that doesn't care for fragrances so much. This could be an all-year-round scent

Moved to the tropics and been looking for a lighter vetiver profile and found it with VS. Excellent invigorating smooth and naturally realistic blended composition. Bright zesty citruses and fresh mint with a clean smooth woody-musky floor. The Vetiver is clean soft and more complementing than dominant. It's uplifting with a feel-good vibe as well. Highly versatile all year round for any occasion. Longevity is good with moderate projection and a fresh noticable beautiful scent trail. VS is an outstanding, delectable, sophisticated and elegant choice with a great personality and satisfying aura. It is a jewel and I'm very happy to have it - highly recommended.

Vetiver Sensuel is different from Mancera’s typically bold fragrances with its light, sparkling, and versatile profile, making it perfect for Spring and Summer or daytime settings. I get a longevity of around 6-7 hours with moderate sillage, definitely less intense than Mancera’s usual offerings. I just sampled this today as an unintended freebie and—oh my lord. I might've just found my current favorite summer fragrance. For context, it is currently 33°C/40°C heat index where I live; and this is incredibly refreshing, sweetish, and mood-lifting. Peak example of love-at-first-sniff. Fizzy citrus accord with a cool mintiness that isn't toothpastey at all. I am very wary of mint as it usually smells like hygiene products, but this one totally nails it. It also has a light muskiness that rounds everything out. This doesn't need to be anything else. It is perfect as it is. ✅Excellent

Agree with Kotsoss, and I say that as a mancera fan (I own 13). I think discontinuing mediocre releases will suit the house. Now on to vetiver sensuel: one of the three first manceras I bought and still one of my favorites. Citrus, musk, clean vetiver that doesn't smell dated or typical. Inoffensive but not boring for those that like this type of DNA (like me). Mancera although with many misses, have some really good fragrances with good value (70-110 dollars for 120 ml), with beautiful bottles and great sprayers. This is one of the winners and great for spring, summer and fall.

If you feel Encre Noir is too sharp and earthy, and if you find Tom Ford Grey Vetiver edp too soft and subtle for your taste, This is the right balanced vetiver for you. Opening is limy fresh, good as most of Manceras. After few minutes vetiver kicks in but subtle lime stays for quite a while. In the dry down soft woods and oakmoss joins in. Very good for summer days. Performance is also somewhere between Encre Noir and Grey Vetiver. Overall 8/ 10 ------------------------- Edit: Performance has improved with the use and it has grown on me. 9.5/ 10 now

In the initial hours I can smell all the citrusy notes mentioned here like bergamont, lime and lemon. Then slowly vetiver comes into play. It can be a nice scent for those who want to try vetiver based perfumes but those who are over stimulated w vetiver may not like it. In the end I can detect some musk and oakmose. It smells like a expensive hotel room, v opulent. It lasts on my skin for good 8-10 hours although I think if it will sit longer then its performance might enhance. It can be worn for office purpose v professional and sophisticated.

I have been trying to avoid this perfume for so long as i do not like vetiver a lot unless it is done to perfection like encre noire sport, but man, I ordered it as a my Mancera no.30. and boy, it is amazing. I have took my sweet time to try this one. and whenever I wear it I smell so good throughout the day and I keep getting a whiff of it all day long. So, to say, longevity is not an issue here and I have '23 batch. I don't like vetiver myself too. but this is a mass pleasing fragrance. Even more so than a cedrat boise. I am loving it.

I had originally bought this fragrance after catching a glimpse of it in a photo for "best summer fragrances." I wanted a niche that nobody I knew had owned and tried to be different. I blind bought this fragrance, but I was so lucky as to smell the best fragrance for the summer I believe I have ever smelled. It comes off very citrusy, with some vetiver and wood in the background, it is very alluring and is almost like a lemonade. I do not get too long of longevity on my skin, but this was absolutely worth it in my opinion.

Blind bought last week. Read a few reviews. As a big Guerlain, TF, Hermes Vetiver fan, I thought I couldn’t go wrong here. And I’m not disappointed. Heavy on the citrus to begin with, but the dry down is fantastic. Lots going on. I pick up a similarity with L’eau D’Issey during the dry down, but that changes after 20-30 minutes with a deeper wood and Vetiver base setting in. Got a good price on this, too, which adds to the enjoyment of wearing it. Not my fave Mancera, but a bloody good frag that lasts hours.

Out of the Mancera frags I have tried, this is by far my favourite. The smell is very realistic and natural. Quite dense feeling, but not too heavy. Invigorating, zingy, professional, very pleasant. To me, this is very unisex, not leaning to either gender. Not very youthful in my opinion, wouldn't suit a teenager or people in early 20s. I'm 26 and honestly feels a tad bit too mature for me still. Performance is great and sillage is quite good also, not loud but noticeable. I like this one. .

This is a great vetiver fragrance. Vetiver notes can vary wildly from one to the next and in this instance it is used to perfection. With Vetiver Sensuel you get a clean, bright, and masculine vetiver that isn't overly herbal or hay-like. This scent is very inoffensive and has enough citrus to give it enough lightness to be uplifting without being overtly fresh or aquatic. Longevity, as with all Manceras, is excellent. The bottle and atomizer are both topnotch.

@donpeplletier might have an infection. Regardless, this is one of my favorite freshies. Very approachable vetiver to the point that I don't really smell it lol. Basically just a sweet citrus with some nice cleanliness, which isn't a bad thing. Great performance, great smell. Ever so slightly beat out by cedrat boise as my favorite mancera in my opinion, but not by much. Not much else to say. I love this stuff. 9.5/10

Very versatile vetiver. Uplifting blend that doesn't 'wow' me with a particularly vetiver-centric core, rather builds around it with supporting notes. It isn't a powerhouse, per se, but considering its fresh structure it performs really well off my skin. And I have pretty dry skin. Refreshing, and definitely an easy reach for Spring, summer, and even late summer into fall. Overall a really good value.

This was a love at first smell for me. Its the friendliest Vetiver I have found, and works great in the summer heat and humidity where I live. The vetiver here is very subtle, as its mostly a lime and lotus fragrance. But, its still there and gives it a unique touch. The only negative thing I can say about this scent is that it might not be so memorable with how friendly and crowd-pleasing it is.

So fresh, so clean. At first I didn't smell the citrus but I let it sit for a couple weeks and now I can smell it clearly. Lemon grass? The vetiver compliments this from going full blown citrus. Fully versatile can be a signature scent. I've worn this a couple times, so I don't remember anything else other than I love it. You can get a good deal on this one surprisingly. 9/10

Been hesitant reviewing this because I've been wanting to gatekeep my wondrous experience with this fragrance. If you need something high quality, green, fresh, citrusy, you've found it. No need paying ridiculous Niche prices when this sucker at discounters is so low. Worth every penny. I encourage anyone who appreciates the smell of outdoors to get a sample of this.

The first full bottle of Mancera I bought after receiving 29 decants direct from their website. It's clean, distinctive, refreshing and long lasting (for a fresh scent). It's different enough to stand out in a crowd. For me, it's a perfectly balanced unisex fragrance worthy of high praise and can be worn in most situations. Beautiful perfumery. 9/10

When I first smelled this I thought it was pleasant, but nothing special. I have since revisited my sample and I now love this stuff. My favourite vetiver by a mile. Not too dry or dirty, lovely and smooth. The citruses are gorgeous and give this fragrance an almost effervescence. Brilliant daily driver scent, will probably be my next pick up.

Returned to this after letting the bottle settle for 4 months. Now the first day of summer has arrived, I’ve given this a good spritz. Not sure what the difference is when you leave a bottle to rest, but the lime, pepper and vetiver are lush. What a combination. 👌🏻 This is getting sprayed constantly this summer. A fine frag.

I got a sample of Vetiver Sensuel from Krystal Fragrance and it is GOOD! It definitely brings to mind Terre d'Hermes, but it's better. The vetiver is clean and bright and the citrus bite is slightly stronger than TdH. Also, the mint, oakmoss, and musk give it more depth. If you like TdH, put your nose on VS.

Super bright and invigorating blend of citruses and vetiver. This is one of my all-time favorite summer scents, and it brings a smile to my face every time. Mint and pepper are subdued, but drydown is a nice musk that lingers for quite some time, especially for a freshie. 10/10 citrus freshie in my book.

The opening is 90% similar to Soleil DItalie with fresh sweet tangy zingy citrus. And it drydown to a very calming and relaxing vetiver that is not dry smoky earthy dark vetiver, but more like after rain fresh cut vetiver with some amber. Really suit during spring, summer night and fall.

Luv this. Really fresh, not sticky sweet, fruity or "Blue". Reminds me of Hermes Eau Tres Fraiche, or TF's Grey Vetiver if you put more citrus and sparkle on top. The vetiver is there but not inky or earthy in any way. Good performance. This is going to be moving up the charts fast.

Great blind buy. Extremely wearable by both genders. Like the other reviewers, nothing ground breaking, but it’s a great buy. It’s an easy reach for me and I’m glad to have it in my collection. Grey Vetiver is not comparable to this frag in my opinion. Grey Vetiver is much spicer.

Soft,sweet,woody, citrus very easy to wear . If you have Scilly or soliel di italie by mancera no need for this one they share same DNA. Last long time but you have to put your nose close to your skin to smell it almost no silage. Overall this is very beautiful.

Crisp, clean and fresh. Been wearing this all week since I’ve gotten it and love the way it smells. Just wish it projected more like other Manceras but this is definitely my fav so far. I’d say it’s blind but safe since I bought it if you love citrus and lime.

One of my favorite fragrances. I'm not a big Mancera/Montale fan, but they knocked it out of the park with this one. This is clean and woodsy, but simultaneously warm and cool at the same time. It smells clean but earthy. Amazing stuff.

This is the most pleasant vetiver fragrance I have ever had. To me this is better than TF Grey Vetiver (also a very good one) and also better some other high end niche brand vetivers too. It is fresh, clean, enjoyable, and professional.

This may not be as powerful as most Manceras,but the blend and quality is just as good as any of them.This is a very nice fresh and woody fragrance with great sillage and lasts all day on my skin.Definitely glad I bought this one.

Interesting version of vetiver: slightly floral and powdery, maybe a little weak. Those who don't like tanginess of strong vetiver may try this, this one is wearable even for me while those tangy ones I only enjoy at home.

Nice freshness and smooth vetiver. Well blended. Not challenging at all. For me personally it lacks any wow factor, but It’s still enjoyable and I could see myself wearing it. Would make for a good dumb-reach frag imo.

Looking over the "reminds me of" section and it's way off, which is a good sign meaning that there aren't many fragrances that smell quite like this. It's unique and one of the best the house has to offer.

Peaceful, clean, citrus-forward, orchid-laced, mint-tinged, vetiver-hinted. Very enjoyable and versatile. Orchid is more prominent in the dry down, which definitely leans feminine, but is also just nice.

Like the name suggest, this is a classy sensual vetiver. The vetiver is quite smooth not harsh at all, really unique with the citrus, moss and floral aspect of the orchid. I absolutely love it.

It smells simple but lovely. It’s a very masculine fragrance with nice dose of citrus and woods and it lasts a long time. I don’t get much sweetness from this but maybe it’s just my nose
