Wild Candy

I am a regular customer to Mancera because of their niche fragrances with reasonable price and elegant design. This little gem is truly my favorite so far (after Wild Python, Red Tobacco & Roses Greedy). The main accord is frangipani flower. The scent is so beautifully blended, this is such a huge nostalgic to my childhood. Where I carefree ran around the schoolyard with all frangipani on the ground. We laughed and threw those frangipani flowers under the hot sun during the summertime. It keeps evaporating on my skin, it smells like a whiff of vanilla cream with a subtle hint of fruity gourmand. It is really well-done! There is no dry down, it keeps coming back and forth for the flower then fruity then gourmand vibe. I love how it manage to project & float around me all day. The silage is medium but the longevity is without a doubt because of Mancera. Uniqueness? It is a yes! I decided to purchase the full bottle to be on my Mancera collection. Mancera Wild Candy - Beautiful chocolate, probably the best I've smelled out of all of my chocolate fragrances. This to me smells of a gentle sweet white type of musk and flowers most likely the two flowers mentioned in the notes. This shares some DNA from Mancera velvet vanilla like the reviewed below mentioned. This fragrance is not that loud, it is very sweet and feminine not really powerful or maybe depending how many sprays one uses, though I just did three sprays for bed time and it's not that bad. If I were going out, I would probably do five-six sprays. The chocolate in this is alive and sweet! Mancera never disappoints, another love for me.

Party in a bottle that won't give you a headache! Speaking for myself, naturally. I am so in love, this one is so much fun and fruity cocktail 🍸🍹 I'm surprised that the majority voted it as autumn/winter perfume. For me, this is tropical holiday perfume for people who don't like the generic coconut scent. It bears strong resemblance to Parfums de Marly Cassili, but it's the frangipani note that's prominent in both of them. If you love one you might love the other too. I have both and I'm not ashamed. This one might be a tad bit more fruity and easygoing. Let's salsa!

This was a risky blind-buy, considering the price of it, but definitely is a hit. I am surprised not seeing honey mentioned in its composition, as I detect very much of it. The frangipani is very noticeable, which I truly enjoy. Overall, a very unique perfume, not fruity and candy in the boring-already-seen-it type of way. This perfume makes me think of a luxurious oasis in the dessert, where you are being served on a golden platter with the most delicious oriental dried fruits, covered in a secret sauce of honey, chocolate and spices.

The first 10 min spray, you smell chocolate similar to chocolate violet...my brother also thinks so. Then it stays like a smooth fruity candied powdery perfume till the end. it softness reminds me of Aoud Orchid actually Do i smell roses? no, do I smell salt? no Let's say I'm happy that I don't smell it cause the perfume is perfect like this. It's not a beast mode like Silver blue or Cedrat boise, but it is eternal and comforting. My signature scent from now on!!!!! Ps: I can't wait to test it in summer, maybe it will project more

Bottled arrived...actually, I arrived from a business trip to find it on my front porch. I just applied it and my initial impression is that it reminded me quite a bit of Mancera So Blue, or was it Aoud Blue Notes? After it few minutes I am detecting less of the powdery tone and more of the candy vibe, but I can still detect the similarities. I'll update my review once I have given it a few good wearings. Regardless, 2-sprays and it's filling a room...

As a gourmand lover, this fragrance is absolutely delicious! It's a tropical fruit candy encrusted on top of a chocolate bar. I only have a sample, but I NEED a full bottle of this. What makes the scent lean tropical is the Frangipani flower. It has very good sillage and longevity is great. You only need a couple sprays which will last for hours. If you like fruity candy mixed with chocolate, please give this a try!

Very blessed I don’t get floor detergent. I will admit when I first got it, I thought it was nothing to write home about. Creamy sun tan lotion scent, reminiscent of cocoa butter. It’s been sitting for several months and I went back to revisit it and wow! Super creamy delicious coconut and frangipani. The chocolate is there but it’s a bit muted. Love this!

Opens very summery, almost suntan-lotion like. So why this frag has so little votes for summer season wear is beyond me! It dries up more chocolaty, but is never a real gourmande, though i can see why this gets love as a fall/winter scent. I,d, as a guy, love it in the summer. This is really something extra, and it recently became my signature scent. If you, like me, are into unique gourmand fragrances, this is a winner. 2-3 sprays will last you all day.

Mancera Wild Candy is a more agreeable, refined version of a candy-laden, fruity designer fragrance, usually marketed to young women, at least in recent decades in the US. It's a balanced composition that consists of mixed citrus, rose, chocolate, vanilla, sandalwood, guaiac wood, and musk, a formula, which, when read does seem like it'd make for a good sweet fragrance, and the result is largely as predicted. It's sweet, fruity, bright, sort of fresh, and sort out indulgent with the chocolate and vanilla, but it never veers off into deep gourmand territory. It's mainly a "candy" in the artistic sense; it does not smell like food, per se. It's a good performer, as well, like most of the Mancera/Montale empire, and it's elegant enough to distinguish it from most of its designer kin. Its retail pricing is the standard $180 for 120ml until it recently sold out, it was available on FragranceX for $94. I estimate the cheaper, designer candy scents might be more reasonable alternatives at half the [discounted] price, or even less, but there's no denying that Wild Candy is fun, easy-to-wear scent for fans of the sweeter stuff. 7 out of 10

Very strange. It's certainly not rich, deep and sweet cocoa but a sort of roses and chocolate knock off (from the same company) that starts like rosy-creamy sun-tan mixed with a not-so-good jelly-bean firm's candy. Rally unsettling and just very odd, like you're on a beach and just inhaled some wacky sweet stuff that sends you into a parallel world of prismic colors, roses, candy, Krispy creme chocolate-donuts and coconuts. Cloying and semi-synthetic vibes. I think Mancera are now just being lazy and cashing in on their successes of the outstanding Cedrat Boise and their per-million rose-ouds that seem to materialise out of a magic invisible factory in the sky. Lazy blend; at least this could have come off as a sort of Turkish-delight theme with refreshing and clear notes of lemon scented rose to mix with the gourmands but nope. Women will not like this either, the mix is too odd and blend poor. Try Artisan's Traversee Bosophore for a candy-like fix. It totally comes off on me the wrong way and I was so sad for it; but we move on. Testing courtesy of Selfridges. My rating: 3/10.

I finally got a bottle of this . It's really nice probably more feminine. I don't get any wild candy juicy vibe like anyone else mentioned in video reviews one video showing a pack of juicy candy nah . This to me smells of a gentle sweet white type of musk and flowers most likely the 2 flowers mentioned in the notes.This shares some DNA from Mancera velvet vanilla . This fragrance is not that loud or powerful or maybe depending how many sprays though I just did 5 sprays and it's not that bad . It's a pleasing soft sweet scent nothing to rave on about . Damn I was expecting it to be more dark plum intense juicy candy but it just fell flat on it's face . Wild Candy is what mancera sicily is all about not this .

Bold and likeable. Rich in facetes. Fit for a big party, but with a dance floor rather than family gathering. Indeed , the immediate connotation is hard candy, lollies and sweets. But closer inspection reveals that this is true parfume, not a candy shop. I feel the tropical, intense, slightly powdery frangipani loud and clear at the top. Surrounded by vanilla and musk. Fruits and lemon quicky outpowered after the opening. Chocolate I, but glimpsed. Wow, this scent is so much better than expected. After a couple of hours chocolate reemerges, together with fruity notes and powder and candy.

Me gustan los perfumes fuera de lo común, y este lo es. Pero en mí se vuelve tan imperceptible que me tienta a venderlo. Abre con notas cítricas no estridentes, con rosa y frangipani, que va secando con un ligero y casi amargo chocolate con notas afrutadas. Persiste el olor pero muy a ras de piel por unas cuantas horas. No le veo el detergente que mencionan. Para mi es un si, solo me decepciona que yo lo percibo muy muy ligero.

Powdery floral, sweet, fruity, and a chocolate vanilla musk blend once it dries down. I love it. I think Wild Candy is an appropriate name to describe the sweetness. It doesn’t smell like a hard rock Candy, but maybe more like someone gifted you chocolate covered fruit and a bouquet of flowers.

I worked at a candy shop a few years ago that made taffy this perfume smells like an artificially flavored strawberry taffy. It made me nauseous at first bc I have a heavy hand but smells pleasently nostalgic with a couple sprays. Not what I was expecting but enjoyable never the less.

Since im on a hunt for a scent similar to my angel sucré this is one of the closer one to it. im a sweet floral vanilla person so i immediately love this. I got the decant to test it out. And bougt more because i love it on my skin.

Smooth pleasant scent throughout opening, mid to drydown A smooth floral scent, a better verison of Mancera Instant Crush.. mid notes turns into a generic heads & shoulders shampoo. Remains soft, clean and floral, not offensive or harsh; just nothing unique or special to keep me invested.

Strong, indolic white florals fading into white flowers and powdery woods. I'm picking up little sweetness, no fruits, no chocolate, or really any other notes. Not what I expected. I'll finish the manufacturer's sample, but there are other white florals I'm more inclined to grab.

when you first spray it, it’s horrible smells like body odour and old ladies but the dry down gets better you just have to give it about 10 minutes to settle and it starts to smell like sweets and more tropical . wouldn’t recommend as a blind buy since i regret 🤦♀️

eh, its ok. im not sure if this is just my batch but it just kinda smells like baby powder. not bad but definitely not candy

I am a gourmand lover but i don't like this one. The name is kinda misleading, this is more of a fruity floral, and i can't connect it with candies. Passer-bys will find your fragance a bit curious, the sillage is definitely visible. The beginning notes are very flowery and a lil bit fruity, leaning to the sour type. After 30mins, it reminds me of the kenzo flower: fresh florals with a sweet hint. Very feminine. Most people would just try to breathe in the fragance you're wearing wondering where its coming from and what's this pleasingly familiar yet sophisticated scent. Overall it is interesting, but not what I expected. I would recommend kenzo over this one if you are looking for the fresh floral, but this one over kenzo if it is the playfulness between fruity and floral :)

Today I received Mancera Wild Candy as a blind buy. Really can't imagine this kind of scent on man- it's absolutely womens perfume! Tried it on my wrist. The name of the perfume says everything about it. Firstly it's very loud powdery candy, floral, plus vanilla and chocolate. Don't feel rose at all. Can't understand what note makes me turn off. It literally makes my nose etching just after one spray but I must admit it's pleasant scent if you don't overdose it. Can easily make somebody sick. After couple of hours it became softer and not that screaming anymore. Silage and longevity are great as in all Mancera is.

I am a flag bearer of this House and proud to be one to have reviewed and collected so many. most are hit, some are miss and redundant. this one i felt is all over the place. it doesnt know which direction to go to. im not saying its a bad fragrance but the name is more attractive than the juice. for chocolate id prefer choco violette over this. this one is weird with the vanilla, i dont like vanilla and fruits with the chocolate, not a great blend, but hey thats just me. many people love it and its beast mode. love wild cherry and leather over this. a try, not must buy or pass 6.5/10

The notes looked promising. I collect plumeria (frangipani) and love vanilla... was hoping this would be a good mix of the two. Does NOT smell like frangipani, and any detectable vanilla smells like the cheap caramel notes in teen perfumes. I also get plastic candy smell and powdery musk. Hard pass.

This is a horrible fragrance, it smells like floor detergent and bug spray, I dont know how you can fumble a sweet fragrance this bad

Absolutely Gorgeous Perfume! I was on the hunt for a Frangipani fragrance and sampled a couple including Biege Chanel Exclusif and Chants for the Nymph by Gucci. Both are beautiful fragrances but not quite what I was looking for. I wanted creamy, slightly sweet, tropical waxy flowers that would resemble a island goddess. On my hunt I came across Wild Candy (WC) and was completely turned off by the name until I read the notes. I am not into candy sweet fragrances at all and thought of hard candy, sticky taffy etc. I took the plunge and blind brought WC,it is everything I wanted! WC is a creamy concentrated Frangipani, with sweet notes resembling tropical fruits. But not your typical tropical fruits like pineapple,mango etc these fruits are the exotic rare ones. Think Black Sapote aka chocolate pudding fruit, Dragon fruit flesh and waxy velvety Frangipani flowers with potent fragrance and yellow, pink and white petals. Wild Candy is the perfect name when I realized if I lived on a Island my candy wouldnt be artifical flavored sugared mass produced sweets. But my candy would be the natural fruits offered by the Earth and trees in abundance around me WILD CANDY. Wild Candy on me has great longetivity but remains close to the body. It gives a slight suntan lotion vibe without going the traditional coconut way, I think the salt and woods together with the floral give this impression. This smells like sweet tropical candied fruits & flowers to me 🌴🌞🍭🍍🥭🍈🍫🍬. As soon as I smelled this, I immediately thought of Edible Arrangements lolol (AKA chocolate-covered fruits). This smells like a platter of exotic fruits, flowers, with a hint of chocolate! Sometimes I *think* I can smell the chocolate 🤔 but mainly what I'm getting from the choco note is that it's adding a smooth sweet creaminess to this perfume. I have no idea what the fruits are but they're super sweet and exotic, and the frangipani definitely adds to the tropical feel. This would be an amazing perfume to take on vacation! Gorgeous sweet fragrance that would shine in hot weather but also unique enough to pass off as a signature scent. The tropical aspect (frangipani + fruits) and chocolate makes it stand out in a crowd and people will for sure take notice of this perfume!

Smells like a hazelnut wafer to me! Or rather, hazelnut and lemon wafers, all mixed in a bag. Really brings back memories as these are very popular where I am from, and hazelnut and lemon are the two key flavours. Not getting any tropical associations, the wafer stands out to me the most. Nutty and grainy. Dries down and I'm stating to feel the frangipani, but still more in that tart fruit (could be lemon too) kind of way. The salt is definitely there too. Really unique not smelled many like this before. Maybe one I can compare it to is ganache perfumes coconut flan, but instead of coconuts are the fruits. Same wafery biscuit scent that you want to bite into.

All I can smell is a lemony sweet mix. Problem is a lot of floor detergents smell like this. Maybe here the lemon is more realistic and juicy and less screechy, but the general idea is you don't want to smell like a mop. Me at least. If I concentrate I can indeed find, among other things, a tad of chocolate (and even well made) but I would have never noticed it without reading the notes. I wish Mancera made a chocolate only gourmand. I would shower myself in it. Anyway if you really love lemon and you are looking for a sweet, long lasting scent I think you could enjoy it.

Can anyone who gave Wild Candy the high votes actually write a review on this?? I'm so confused when I see the high ratings and yet the only reviews listed are mostly negative, which makes me think that they may not have the right skin chemistry for it. I may or may not be among those who would rate it highly... if I can just find the courage to try it, but these negative reviews scare me off... the high ratings though?...come on ppl who like it, please write reviews for those of us who may like it also! It would be much less confusing, and helpful. Thank you!

The top notes are fruity and floral - but in a way the smells like a vintage perfume. So you may not like this if you the want modern frags. Thankfully, the top notes don't last long. The drydown is better though. But it has that body lotion vibes. It reminds me of the perfume called Qaed Al Fursan Unlimited - maybe try this too if you like the drydown. The scent leans more on the feminine side imo. Test first. Not blind-buy safe.

Welp, glad this wasn't a blind buy for me. My sample told me all I needed to know. Initially, the sweetness is nice (vanilla and fruits), but shortly after and remnant until the end, it just hits me with tanning lotion (yes, actual tanning lotion) and something stale/spoiled. Not my cup of tea.

Oh this one is interesting! To me,it smells like a hazelnut wafer. Though not a gourmand, the way l’interdit by givenchy smells like grapes to me-it’s just what I make of it so take it with a bit of salt. It is not that fruity but it dries to more of a floral but very sweet perfume.

It's lemony-rosy-frangipani opening, then vanilla and some woods join the party... It's pleasant, but something is off and I cannot put my finger on it.. I'm glad I sampled it, but I'm not sure I want a decant, not a FB for me for sure.

It's candy scent to me, but not immature or in a juvenile way. Well blended, the salt notes give it more uniqueness. Also the bottle is fun visually. To me, it's better (more grownup) version of Oriana. Can't argue with a hedgehog.

Very odd opening that's not very sweet at all, haven't really smelled anything like it. Drydown is much sweeter and reminds me of some Indian sweet. Maybe Kulfi? Nice scent overall. 4/5

Smells like velvet vanilla , I bought this and Velvet and traded candy because they were identical, you don't need both
