Wind Wood

WIND WOOD is one of the overlooked gems in the Mancera Catalogue and one of my favourites along with Wild Leather. The hype train is all about Cedrat Boise and Roses Vanille and Aoud Vanille these days and while all of the above are well deserving of it, some of these lesser known gems get swept aside in the process. Another thing I have noticed is that because they are pretty cheaply priced for niche, they dont have the snob value of say MFK or Xerjoff so people tend to overlook this Brand but make no mistake, they have some gems and Wind wood is one of the better frags I have smelled in a while. Initial notes are a green citrus, with a slightly acrid smell, which is the pepper which is very legible. The smell of a jar of green peppercorns. This phase of the fragrance lasts for about half an hour before the real transformation happens and the beautiful violet and patchouli blend comes through. Lot of people smell the green top notes and the violet in the heart and assume this is a GIT clone which this most definitely is not. They are similar type of frags sharing some common notes but they do very different things. That being said, if you are a fan of GIT like I am, you should definitely check this out as you will find quite a few things to love here. From the base notes listed what I get mostly is the woody cedar and a dry, stark vetiver which blend with the violet note. I dont get any oakmoss but there are hints of a sweet ambery white musk and also a kind of ashy note which I am assuming is the leather if sniffed close to the spot sprayed, in the dry down. Now all this might sound complicated but in execution, what Wind Wood turns out is a clean, woody, violet frag. Nothing daring or risky, just great smelling. Longevity and projection like most manceras is excellent. 2 sprays to the chest and it lasts all day and office friendly as well. Actually got a compliment from a lady client I was showing some properties to so all good there. This and Wild Leather are my favourite hidden gems in the Mancera line up and frankly, I get more compliments with these than Cedrat Boise or Roses Vanille, despite all the hype they have. Maybe it's my body chemistry but for whatever reason, this is a winner for me. 2 thumbs up.

What a nice opening! Pink pepper, fresh green violets. It reminds me exactly of Green Irish Tweed's opening, even dupes of GIT never seem to capture the opening, but Wind Wood certainly did! The opening compard to GIT's wet opening is like 90-95% the same, the pink pepper just hits a bit different. I dont get a petrol or synthetic smell as some have complained. As it dries down, the amber, vetiver and oakmoss start to present themselves. The oakmoss is is wet, earthy and the vetiver is a dry non smoky vetiver. Such a nice combo! The amber brings the intense fresh greenness down and blends it all nicely together. The patchouli definitely gives it a slight woody masculine edge. Its a pretty linear scent of green notes+violet+warm wood. Nothing groundbreaking BUT, it is so nicely blended. To me personally, its literally the initial wet opening of Green Irish Tweed in a bottle. Ive always loved the wet opening of GIT and hate how the dupes can capture the drydown, the base, but never fully capture that initial first 5 minutes that makes the dupes fall short of being true 1:1. Wind Wood does not smell like GIT per say in the drydown. Itd be about 75-80% but it masterfully captures the opening. Anyone looking for a scent that is the first initial wet opening of GIT without the rest, THIS IS THE SCENT. Update:***after wearing for several hours, the longevity is amazing. Like its only been on for maybe 20 minutes. Honestly, I think I prefer this over Green Irish Tweed, its just such an incredible scent. The patchouli really makes this GIT with a more masculine woody vibe. Almost like a GIT flanker but its own thing. I'll never go back to GIT after this!

A modern and elegant signature scent for all men 20+. A true ace of all trades, Wind Wood can be worn anywhere for anything. I get the Farhenheit connection, but this one is much smoother, much more modern, and smells undeniably better than Dior's original, or the Aqua flanker. It likewise blows Givenchy's Gentlemen Only out of the water in every possible way. This is one of my favorites from Mancera. Fantastic by any and all performance metrics. Extremely high quality scent. More than anything, I have to say this scent is extremely timely. I'm aware that it came out in 2014, but I fear Mr. Montale was ahead of his time, yet again. Not much on the market today (especially in the designer realm) has half as much character as Wind Wood, yet Wind Wood manages to have an abundance, without sacrificing in freshness, cleanliness, or mass appeal. Summary: a truly invigorating reinterpretation and revitalization of violet. Perfect for a signature scent. Masculine, clean, refined. Edited to Add: The longevity on this fragrance, especially as a skin scent, is really impressive. Wind Wood has one of my very favorite dry downs among the hundreds of scents that have passed through my collection. The deep dry down is reminiscent of Creed's signature ambergris dry down. I don't know how they're able to do that at this price point but wow, I'll be wearing this for a very long time.

I recently got this after reading that it smells similar to CD Fahrenheit. I have a little sample of Fahrenheit edt and like how it smells, but I find the longevity not so good. Aside from the Fahrenheit sample, I got Dsquared Rocky Mountain too. Here are my observations after testing out the three scents over a couple of times. The strong similarity between the three scents is in the initial spray up to 5 minutes. What I experienced is like what adriana.ticleanu mentioned below. The notes that stand out for me in the beginning that links the three perfumes is Vetiver, cedar and violet. To my nose though, I think Wind wood is potent but not harsh. Fahrenheit differs by having a gasoline like vibe that many describe in it that I don't smell in Wind Wood. Dsquared Rocky Mountain differs by leaning more heavily on the Vetiver and cedarwood notes. What Wind wood has that makes it different is the noticable mandarin orange and amber notes. The two notes makes it a bit sweeter and smoother to me. I am happy with the scent of Wind Wood and its overall performance. The projection and longevity are above average. This is a safe and mass appealing scent compared to the previous Mancera Wild Leather I reviewed.

I got a sample of this today and I am in love, getting a full bottle next. I do not really get the comparisons to Fahrenheit, I would never think about it when smelling Wind Wood. This might be far fetched as well but it actually reminds me of Reflection Man by Amouage. Definitely not a clone or anything like that but the scent profile is the same to me. The notes are similar and both fragrances are a perfectly balanced mix of sweet, citrus and woody accords. Wind Wood has a very subtle leather note on top of that. The opening is just fantastic to me, sweet and citrusy and then goes into a smooth, woody dry down with a touch of leather and powder. Perfect for any time of/day year and any occasion. It's not a beast mode on my skin but the performance is solid. I'm not a signature scent type of guy but I have a feeling I will be using this one a LOT once the full bottle arrives. It is very masculine and to some people it might smell a bit dated, it's not similar to the recent popular releases (makes sense since it's form 2014). I showed this to my wife and she said that this smells like something my dad would wear rather than me but it's still 10/10 from me.

I didn't like this at first, but my FragranceNet travel spray leaking all over the others it came with might have soured that first impression. But after a few wearings in the summer, it makes me excited for the fall. It definitely compares with Fahrenheit EDT, but where Fahrenheit reminds me of summer, specifically mowing the lawn-- gasoline and freshly cut grass-- Wind Wood's vetiver is more of a dry hay on top of the gasoline. I initially thought it smelled like a barn with a leaky tractor. So Wind Wood and Fahrenheit both conjure tractors and are nostalgic, but Wind Wood is an autumn hayride-- a much more enjoyable memory than a sweaty summer lawn-mowing. I'm debating whether to buy the full bottle of WW or just layer Fahrenheit over some vetiveryl acetate for a similar effect. WW doesn't have Fahrenheit's projection, and it's rare that a Mancera doesn't blow the doors off a designer. I'll be debating this one until my decant runs out. Edit: It ran out, and I bought the FB. Loving it. Edit #2: I now have a backup bottle. Easily one of my favorites.

A nice, masculine (although the shop assistant who I got the sample from said she wears it.), woody perfume. Mancera have done well in creating some interesting fragrances, Wind wood not being their most but definitely worthy of merit. Looking at the notes here you'd think it was a new take on vetiver perhaps? but it really is a combination of dry cedar and some slightly greener, woody notes and vetiver. The opening is pink pepper, hint of violets and cedar and musk not cliched or over baring, then WW dries down to a tiny amount of soft leather, vetiver and woods. Nothing ground breaking as I mentioned already and very accessible stuff but I wasn't expecting anything massively brave. Fair longevity and projection I will have to sample again to be sure but I'm pretty certain my first impressions are correct.

Wind Wood by Mancera: This is nice, it's woody and green and earthy but in an almost clean, ever so slightly soapy/powdery way but not quite like that of a Prada. It's got the same violet leaf note as Dior Fahrenheit that gives it the very characteristic petrol/gasoline smell whereas the supporting notes in this tone it down and make it like a much cleaner, smoother and more wearable Fahrenheit. Perfect for any season in my opinion and good for any age with great longevity. A lot of people also say insane projection but I can't agree though that may just be me going slightly noseblind after a while. Very underrated. Top notes: Orange, pepper, green touch Middle notes: Smoky violet and patchouli Base notes: Cedar, smooth and pleasant leather and a touch of oakmoss 4.5/5

I’m finding absolute gems from the house of Mancera. Here is another! Opening for me is extremely fresh and green. Dry down quickly exposes the best Violet note I have smelled. Violet for me can go very wrong...but not in this one. Over time, vetiver and woods expose themselves. From start to finish, this truly is a fantastic DNA...a true indulgence. Longevity, as with most Manceras, is fantastic. Performance was OK...although maybe not on par with others from house. This fragrance is extremely versatile for me. I will wear this Spring, Summer and Fall. I think it could be worn in Winter, but others would be better options. As usual, get a sample before buying a bottle, but if you like green notes, Violet leaf, and vetiver...you will probably really enjoy this.

This fragrance is being GATE KEPT! Out of all my Mancera Fragrances, this is the one that easily stands out amongst all the others. There’s something about this fragrance that takes me back to grade school, standing in front of the pencil sharpener smelling those fresh pencil shavings. You get a minor bit of petrol from the violet leaf, but the cedar in this is so good! if you're a guy that is looking for something fresh, yet alluring and so different from anything else out there I'd recommend getting your nose on this one. This stuff is truly just a gem. Every month I say to myself that something is my new favorite, but this is hands-down going to be in my top 10 forever. Is it blind by safe) ... I would say yes, for anybody over 30.

I wanted to try something different from Mancera! I already own Mancera Red Tobacco, but i wanted something else, but also that they were on discount! First I said i buy one between Cedrat Boise and Kumkuat Wood! But i have some similar scents, so i decided to go blind and choose Wind wood! I do not regret it at all! Such an amazing scent and so very unknown! This one is manly and classy! You have a nice violet/leather/woody aromatic scent! The violet note it is well blended with leather, which you can feel it like suede leather! The scent is absolutely amazing, sillage/performance great! Pffff, Thank God i am not disspointed about it! And yes it shares some similar notes with Mancera Aoud Violet! Just love the scent!

Now this is my opinion, but it's perfect in my eyes. It lasts long, as long as you could ever need with enough sprays but it doesn't overstay. In regards to projection it is noticeable but not in an intrusive way that offends others. Speaking of offense, to most people none to be had. Now the smell itself... where do I start? To my nose with the orange and violet with the tiniest touch of sweetness from the pink pepper, supported by the heavier green notes and woods. As it dries, it gets even better with the orange and pink pepper fading to the leathery backbone of the fragrance, the woods deepening and the violet staying the same strength throughout the duration. Wind Wood is my favorite fragrance of all time.

Excellent fragrance for spring. Woody, green, violet heavy. Either the scent or my nose changed during the three years I've had it. It used to strongly remind me of the petrol-like scent of Dior Fahrenheit for the first 20 minutes, which seems to have disappeared now. I prefer the middle and drydown anyway. I read somewhere that the scent was inspired by Scandinavian forests in the summer. Cannot comment on that, but I used to have a Scandinavian summer themed bathing foam (not from Mancera) that was similar to this. I also like the clean and simplified bottle presentation. Not a typical mainstream perfume, a standout from the designer choices. It is well priced for a niche.

Another great fragrance from mancera. Its crisp, woody, light and energizing. oakmoss vetiver and light on a pink pepper are dominant notes in this. Feels like spring in a bottle. I use about 5 sprays and im good to go. Perfect for warmer weather. Though I cannot detect any citrus notes in this maybe I cant catch my nose to it. Longevity is ok. I get about 6 maybe 7 hours of performance and descent projection. Most of my mancera I have tried are strong and potent mainly because they have aoud in it but this one is nice and safe to wear and its a crowd pleaser. And it wont hurt someone nose if overspray. Would definitely dig this this summer. Good job mancera

I got a sample of this last year and was blown away. One of the best, if not the best fresh scent I have smelled since I was a kid in the 70's. JMHO, but this stuff is what I want to be pickled in before I go in the box. :D I'm just glad there is not too much of this around as too much popularity would kill it for me, but it's a stunner and one of those ones that makes me feel good to have it on. Powerful and eternal, I had to get a bottle straight away (which took MONTHS to arrive), and it's the old screw cap type. An absolute winner on my skin. Close to Mancera Aoud Violet (but another big step up) if you need a comparison.

This is another blind buy, which I don't regret for! It isn't something unique, but it is very nicely done, woody aromatic, earthy scent. This instantly reminds me of Terre d'Hermes and I'm glad, cause I like it. In comparison with TdH it has similar earthiness, but with less citrus plus violet and oakmoss added. Longevity and projection are above average and it meets my expectations for EDP concentration. Overall I can recommend this to all TdH fans and to all lovers of woody, earthy, green scents. My ratings: Fragrance 8/10, longevity and projection 10/10

Must admit, the opening is very harsh, bitter, and very peppery. However, when it dries down, it is absolutely amazing. The best way to describe it is as if you were walking through a birch forest at sunset. Very woody and dry, and it is deeply complex when you smell it. There is a slight hint of soapiness , and a dry sweetness that doesn't even really smell sweet I just can't really describe it in words. Amazing scent, the performance is nuclear and longevity on skin is 8+ hours, and even longer on clothes.

Another outstanding Mancera! First i get blasted with pepper and cedarwoods, followed by violets and vetiver, later on after 30min or so the orange, leather and patchouly kick in, which makes it all a bit darker. Drydown stays fresh but a little dark and forms into a fruity vetiver leather bubble, not unlike Cedrat Boise or Terre d'Hermes even, but a bit greener. Leans masculine. Performance is good, 4 a 5 sprays should get you through the workday, good office-scent. Very good fragrance! 91

This fragrance has been my white whale for some time now and I am finally able to say I've got her, this was an instant love for me as violet is one of my favorite notes. And this is VIOLET to the MAX, gives me Fahrenheit vibes but slightly different, and I'm not at all into super masculine frags I probably lean more unisex leaning feminine if anything but this one is THE ONE. Seems like Pierre Montale and nem stop making this one if can get your nose on this one soon stock is drying up.

Just brought, right now it’s lasted me a good 6.5 hours as I’m speaking it seams like it will be almost gone in another hour this is just amazing. I don’t smell Fahrenheit at all but I smell I sort of a PDM Galloway smell as a manly but fresh smell but this one other that Galloway actully lasts. I find this nothing like gentleman and normal I stringy dislike green fragrances but this one is surprisingly realy good. Def a signature scent for those looking 9.8/10 12/10 including price

Parked this for 6-7 months. First cooler day in ages and I’ve spritzed 4-5 sprays, this evening. Such a clean, leathery vibe. Initially, I thought it reminded me of CD Fahrenheit. Now I’m not so sure. Top end, the citrus really shines. An hour in and the mandarin is still sharp. The leather vibe is just stunning. I can see me rocking this throughout winter. Easy. Anyone confirm if this has been discontinued? I’ve seen prices soar over $250 a bottle recently.

Underrated, underrated, underrated. This is superb. Probably my favourite Mancera out of 6 so far. Lovely violet that gives a certain watery, aquatic feel perfectly dancing with a fresh, masculine vibe of citrus, leather and woods. I get some mineralic, herbal whiffs, and everything is perfectly balanced and the musk softens the edges so nicely. Think of a niche Bleu de Chanel with hints of TF Oud minerale and Amouage reflection man. 4.5/5

I love Dior Fahrenheit so was curious if this was similiar. At first blast I smell the similarity which is the violet leaf, but still very different. I really enjoy this and it is very versatile, unique, and signature scent worthy. The dry down is a vetiver sweet amber which is beautiful and makes me want to wear it more and keep sniffing. Might be my favorite from the house. Nothing like Fahrenheit and it’s own creation.

It is a very nice fragrance very similar to Gentleman Only by Givenchy. It lasts long, but I wouldn't call it a projection beast. I think that Givenchy Has a slightly better projection but is also much less lasting Not surę why no one brought up similarity to Terre d'Hermes as well. It Has the same vibe minus the earthy Orange and add up a bit od leather. Elegant and versitile. 8/10

Orange, pepper, leathery, woody vibe. A fantastic scent. The Mrs thought I’d returned to my roots and bought a bottle of CD Fahrenheit. MWW is a beautifully constructed scent that lasts hours. IMO, it’s up there with Cedrat Boise and Red Tobacco. Definitely in my top 3 Mancera frags. Longevity is easily 8 hours. Projection is good. A compliment-getter for sure.

Wow! Super nice and unique fragrance and an absolute bomb from mancera. This is SUPER manly and it is such a strong powerful scent. The only thing which kind of stood out to me was the gasoline like smell during the dry down, which might just be my nose. I recommend giving this fragrance a try and because it is such a gatekept perfume, doesnt mean its not good!

Love this scent! I bought it for my husband for our wedding anniversary and he's been saying it's his favorite ever since. The only downside - it's so strong that, whatever perfume I wear when we go out doesn’t stand a chance of being noticed. I may as well just skip wearing any!

Very nice. Masculine because the floral notes are not in your face. Longevity isn't your usual from Mancera - it's fairly weak in comparison to most of the others. 6-8 hours in the winter before it becomes a skin scent. Will update in summer. 9/10 over all.

This one just smells like a man. An Alpha XYY, and that is a dying breed. It's strong, bold, definitely woody and masculine AF. I have added it to my back up bottle collection, but let's not tell too many people because this one is an under-rated gem!

This is wonderful masculine perfume. And I get the tie-in to Diors' Fahrenheit. But I will also give my take...of Irish Spring soap, w/ tons of violet leaf, cedar & a black, almost vinyl like LEATHER. Really beautiful stuff. 9/10

Very nice fragrance. I get alot of pepper, grassy vetiver and woods, leather, florals (violet), and what seems to be an herbal bubblebath type of undertone. Superbly blended. I dont get any similarities to GIT at all whatsoever.

This does actually have a lot in common with Gentleman Only Givenchy. Mancera is less smokey, more floral and performs a hell of a lot better. I do prefer this over GOG though. It calms me. I love it.

I could sit here and write about how much I'm in love with this scent or i could go ahead and buy me a second bottle hmm, second bottle it is.

A terrific, little known masculine fragrance. Wonderful blend of leather and wood. Should be part of every mature man's wardrobe.

Best masculine fragrance for me.

I didn't like this much in the beginning, which was unfortunate because it endures. Still, after a year or so I find it's grown on me. Opens fresh and green with light pepper and hints of citrus, then a prominent violet note comes forward, smoothed and darkened by patchouli. Seems to take a while for the woody base notes to well up underneath, but then they balance things out nicely. By then the greenness has receded far into the background. Mostly a Spring-through-Fall scent to me, though it could work in cold weather too. More a daytime type scent IMO, though I wouldn't rule out wearing it in the evening. Can be dressed up or down, I think. Good for casual situations, perfectly appropriate for work as well. Shorts & a beach shirt, or jeans and a blazer, or a business suit. Overall Wind Wood reads as soapy & fresh and slightly aquatic. To my nose it's more mossy than woody. This lends a slightly barbershop aspect to its manly cleanliness, without steering the scent wholly in that direction. Cedar and vetiver are supporting characters, not the stars. A touch of leather is perceptible but not prominent. Amber & musk make themselves known too, though they never take center stage. This scent does not go full-on amber in the late drydown the way some do. Fairly strong juice that projects well for about two hours, with noticeable sillage even after that. On my skin, the overall endurance wasn't as good as I originally expected - I get 4 to 5 hours (to be fair, I spray it only lightly, because the juice is so strong). Like another reviewer, I don't go noseblind to this fragrance easily. I still get nice wafts of it after three hours or more. It;s a little too familiar to be truly niche, yet too interesting to be entirely typical. I'm glad I revisited this scent and will be wearing it more often in the future.

ویند وود عطری نرم و مخملی، نوستالژیک و صمیمی، با لبه های گرد و ساده و یک دست اما سطحی و‌کم عمقه که از سمتی برای من یادآور هی وود راکی مانتینه و از سویی دیور فارنهایت عطر بین فضای نوستالژیک و چوبی هی وود و فضای عمیق و چرمی فارنهایت در نوسانه ولی وجه نوستالژیکش می‌چربه و عطر عمق کارای چرمی رو پیدا نمی‌کنه بار اولی که تستش کردم برام عطر جذابی بود، اما در تست‌های بعدی و با یه کم گذشت زمان جذابیتش از دست رفت و فلت بودنش اون رو تبدیل به آدمی کرد که به عنوان یه آدم صمیمی همنشینی باهاش لذت بخشه اما ادای عمیق بودن درمیاره و این برام آزار دهنده بود. رفتار و سکنات تکراری و کلام مونوتون این آدم باعث می‌شه که صمیمیتش هم بعد از مدتی نادیده گرفته بشه و تبدیل به آدم خسته کننده‌ای بشه. اپنینگ این کار با حضور پررنگ فلفل صورتی گرم به نظر می رسه ولی این گرما دوام چندانی نداره و رایحه به سرعت معتدل می‌شه و حتا به نظرم گاهی حس فرش و خنک ازش می‌گیرین ولی من مناسب اوایل پاییز و کل بهار می بینمش. حضور بنفشه تا یه جایی چنان قدرتمنده که می‌شد اسم کار رو ویند ویولت گذاشت. اصلا به عنوان یه عطر چرمی سمتش نرید، آکورد چرمی این عطر چندان قوی نیست و چرمی نرم و بی آزار و آشنا و کم جون داره، در حدی که حتا ممکنه خیلی‌ها چرم رو تشخیص ندن، البته همینا باعث سیف و ایزی ور بودن رایحه شده. با این اوصاف نمی‌تونم منکر این بشم که ویند وود یه عطر چوبی و سبز و لطیفه که احتمالا می‌ره تو لیست عطرای پربازخوردتون، به نظرم برای قرارهای کاری‌ای که به جای تو چشم بودن باید اعتماد جلب بکنید گزینه خیلی خوبیه و همینطور برای محیط‌های اداری. به درد مهمونی‌های رسمی و جلوه گری نمی‌خوره و عمق لازم رو نداره. من به خیلی از کارای هایپ مانسرا از جمله سدرات بویز ترجیحش می‌دم و به نظرم در مقام قیاس چه از نظر رایحه و چه پخش و موندگاری ارزش خریدش بیشتره.

In the opening the violet, pink pepper, and the orange mix together to make an interesting exotic fruit note that almost smells like Melon. This got my attention right away. Took me awhile to figure out what it was. It wasn't until the orange faded that I found out what was so intriguing. In the drydown I get notes of violet, violet, violet, and a bit of something...is it maybe violet? Yeah it is. It's violet. Very floral, fresh, and a bit aldehydic. Not the strong gasoline smell of violet leaf that you get from Fahrenheit, but there is an edge of natural gas or maybe a camp stove. I don't smell any of the base notes here, it's just violet and patchouli as far as I can smell. If you ever tried Fahrenheit, but wanted something a little less bold, a little more wearable, maybe a bit more feminine, this might be for you. Incredible performance though. When I had enough of the drydown to make sure I didn't like it, I tried to wash it off my arm. "Tried" being the operative word. This violet monster laughed in my face when I attempted to rinse it off with water alone. This is no such mortal beast to be vanquished by such mundane means. Knowing now the folly of such half-measures I immediately pulled out the big guns. Dish soap. After three lather and rinse cycles I gave up. What's left is a shadow of its former self, but I feel as if its essence is wrought indelibly into my flesh. I see sandpaper in my near future.

Got this fragrance as a blind buy, I got it because I like how fahrenheir smells and because of the reviews and comparisons I was interested. But the thing that I forgot was that my wife hates fahrenheit and so she doesnt like this one as well. For me this is the perfect scent for sprint/autumn day or for summer nights, as it reminds me the Dior masterpiece but this one is also different as this one is lighter and more versitile. The only time my wife loved it was when it was raining and she told me that this fragrance was good for the situation. For me its a dumb reach one that will suit most of the occasions but for my wife it smells like a men in 40s that wears suit and is on business meeting and as Im 25yo its too much. Violet is definitely dominant Fragrance sits really well for a long period of time. Especially on hair(I have long hair) and clothers. So if any of you love fahrenheit and want to be seen as a serious man in some formal meetings or if you want to scare people(her words) this is the perfect blend for you. Overoll it is not a safe blind buy, at least smell fahrenheit before you get it. I cannot compare it to givenchy gentleman only as I couldnt find it in local shops.

My wife loves this fragrance on me. She smelled it not knowing what it was, and said it smelled like woods, so this could be of those frags that I perceive entirely differently than others. I wasn't blown away by it at first. I've had about three weeks and 4 wears or so to identify the notes and I believe I need longer. So far all I'm getting is a slight soapy musk, oak moss, green, a strong violet/cedar combo and absolutely no leather at all to me. I honestly expected something completely different and was expecting an actual leather/violet combo. Maybe the oak moss and musk are creating a very neutral leather......? Or maybe my allergies are giving me shit. Wind Wood has grown on me very fast due to my wife raving about it + I love violet and she loves violet more than I do. The sillage is amazing and the longevity is sick. So this turned into another blind buy that I don't regret. I strongly recommend sampling Wind Wood first, due to the lack of leather in a fragrance labeled leather! It still remains a quality Juice along with the rest of the Mancera line I've acquired. 7/10

Are you, just like me, always searching for that "This perfume reminds me of" tab, when looking up a new scent here on Fragrantica ? If yes, then I must say, that in this case Fragrantica is absolutely correct. Sometimes the most similar scent is still ways off what you are researching, but Wind Wood smells very, very similar to Aqua Fahrenheit, and I have had both. Gods forgive me, but if I'm honest - Wind Wood smells better. It has gorgeous violety opening, a drydown is nice, and it stays longer, than Aqua Fahrenheit, that to me was for some reason, rather hard to wear. Even though i have no problems wearing original Fahrenheit edt everywhere. If this scent was from Dior - the ratings would be higher, but is just a "mainstream" Mancera so 4.04 will do) What i want to say is - if you have an interest in this scent, then go and try it. It's really, really good

Pleasant. You definitely need to be a fan of Mancera and their leather notes before diving in and buying a bottle. The green notes don't last very long at the start. The mandarin briefly makes an appearance with the pink pepper making for what's building you up for a banger of a fragrance before disappearing completely. You get the violet shining through alone, with no patchouli that I can discern. The leather builds and mixes with the violet, the pink pepper stays, but no oakmoss, amber, or vetiver make an appearance. The dry down is very similar to the rest of Mancera line that includes leather notes, but the violet, along with the pink pepper is very slightly more prominent. The journey until you get to that point is pleasant. The dry down isn't dissimilar to Black Gold, which I also enjoyed, but not enough that I'd pick it up very often.

To me, Mancera Wind Wood is to Creed Green Irish Tweed what Instant Crush is to BR540. Close enough to be family but definetly not a "clone" (people throw the term around losely). Wind Wood is categorized as a green/leather frag unlike GIT which is aromatic and sharp and you can sense why. Most Mancera have this sensual round powdery vibe thats deep and hangs on long 8+hr longevity. Wind Wood dries down very different than GIT due to the leather, oakmoss, and white musk accord which makes this a better choice for me! 8/10 -- overall this is a good buy meant for the spring/fall or when its not too hot/not too cold. It beats most scents out, of its kind, mainly due to the warm leathery dry down. Not really my style but a great go-to every now and then.

First spray you get this clean soapy green citrus, then the violet pops up. It starts to evolve pretty fast, once it settles the vetiver shows with wood notes. After a while the leather note shows but it’s not heavy animalic leather it is softer; the patchouli makes it darker or earthy in a way. It’s very smooth not a harsh scent and it’s not sweet, It leans masculine 90%, it is not amazing but it’s a masculine fresh scent. I also have aoud violet and that one is on the same vibe but darker/colder and more interesting to my taste. Not a bad daily scent but still I don’t see any resemblance to CD Fahrenheit.

This is instantly one of my favorite from the brand. Smells much more like a perfume than a glade plug-in. Nice fresh woody opening going into fluffy, smoky, leathery, woody, violet. The right touch of natural like sweetness in the musk. I don't get gasoline from the violet like i do in Fahrenheit. It's a scent profile I didn't enjoy in my youth but i have come to appreciate more in time. This has been my first impression of wind wood. Mancera tends to lose it's luster half the time for me. I have hopes for this one, it's a good start. It's up there with intense Cedrat Boise.

Notes: Mandarin, Pink Pepper, Green Notes, Patchouli, Oakmoss, Vetiver, Cedarwood, Amber, Leather and White Musk Wind Wood opening is not one of my favorites but as the fragrance settles this becomes more enjoyable. I was not able to pick up leather in this fragrance but Cedar Wood, Violet, Vetiver and hints of Amber are definitely detected. This does project pretty well. This also reminds me of Green Irish Tweed but don't consider this a clone any means, overall a pretty good clean, woody fragrance.
