Black Extreme

Mandarina Duck Black Extreme is a really good designer fragrance that fills all my needs for a winter fragrance. It is sweet relying heavily on Tonka, Vanilla and woods (all perfect notes for the cold). MDBE has a denser vibe but the citrus notes at the top and the white florals in the heart lightens it a bit so while it feels thick it doesn't feel like a blanket like when wearing Amen another sweet Tonka heavy fragrance. This is a nice under the radar fragrance that will demand people's attention in casual settings. I'd consider it a great date frag in any weather. Orientals in general work well on me to others. Most are warm, inviting and very people friendly. Hard to imagine a guy wearing MDBE to offend those around him if worn the right way...Which leads me to performance. You can choke people out with this fragrance because while its not a 12+ plus scent, it get's pretty close, while projecting loudly for many hours. It lasted 9 hours on my skin. So be very wise on the amount of sprays. It can walk a fine line between 'just right' and 'too much'. anything over 4 sprays may be pressing your luck...In my opinion this is a less is more frag. But if its really cold and you feel like being obnoxious, go for it...lol...Every once in a while I have the urge to do that too...lol This isn't a complicated scent which evolves through its stages in a seamless Guerlain like way...It's more linear and no where near complex...But i'd buy this scent again if for nothing than the fact that most guys won't know about this brand let alone this fragrance and it smells great for hours. The EDT is very similar as others have noted and some may be hard pressed to notice the difference besides the performance aspect. Simply Put: This is a better, warmer and stronger alternative to POLO Black or even La Nuit and would be a great all around fragrance for lovers of sweet masculine scents. 8.5/10 YouTube Channel- Simply Put Scents

I wanted this fragrance but it disappeared and a few people said it was discontinued. As of 7/2021 it's back on fragrance net.com for @$60 (before coupon). If it is discontinued, now's your chance. I got it and it's my first time delving into the "stronger" edition of a fragrance after owning the regular (Mandarina Duck Black). To me, it smells the same if not just a bit more powdery. Some citrus in the beginning that turns into a powdery, vanilla orange cream-cicle. Citrus/orange is there prominently but the tonka/vanilla/powdery notes are powerhouse intensity and really push it back. Overall very similar to the original and I now love both. But whoah buddy is it strong! That tends to happen on my skin with heavy vanilla/tonka. A spray filled up my bedroom and I finally washed off the two sprays I used on me as summer isn't the right time for this. Summer = cloying quickly! After washing I can still smell it. I love both this and the original so this'll be great come cold weather. IMO, not office friendly as it's too strong. Use the regular Mandarina Duck Black for that. If you own the regular/edt version, IMO you're not actually getting a different fragrance here so it may not be worth it. I love the original, wanted a pumped up version of it if the price was right, know Extreme has been scarce (even discontinued according to comments), so to me it's a real winner. Just don't expect any noticeable changes beyond intensity.

Glad I came across this one. Like most have said before, it does smell like the EDT but Extreme performs better. Longevity and sillage are good, above average. Overall, the tonka and wood are ramped up slightly, while the citrus is toned down a little but still there. If you don't care for tonka, you may want to pass on this one. Of the EDT and EDP, I do like the EDP better. Smells somewhat more well blended to my nose. I love how they didn't change the scent completely. Too many flankers have no relation to the original. A company comes up with a scent that sells and rides the coat-tails of popularity in hopes we will buy something that smells completely different. It would be like if you went to a restaurant that is famous for their pizza, you order a new kind of pizza on the menu, and they bring you a turkey sandwich...You wouldn't be too happy. Unless you don't like pizza but then why are you ordering pizza in the first place. :-). Anyway, Extreme keeps the original Black's identity but with some refining and tweaking. Like the review below, I get some of the comparisons to Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme. So if you like CAHSEE or the EDT, you will like this one. I know I do.

This is very close to the EDT version in smell. The selling point obviously is because this is an EDP and in theory last longer and has more powerful silage. This one certaily will not let you down. The tonka bean note is the more prominent of all of the notes listed, although the citrus notes and to a much lesser extent the vanilla notes are present. The silage is superb DO NOT OVERSPRAY and the longevity is second to none! This is actually a really good alternative the Chanel Allure Pour Homme Sport Eau Extreme. It smells quite similar especially in the dry down and costs half as much. I would say only that Chanel Allure Pour Homme Eau Extreme has a bit more citrus. It also has comparable silage and projection. Absolutely worth a shot! Sidenote: when shopping online for this a lot of places have this listed as a women's fragrance. There is no women's version, so if you're on a site that does have this listed as a women's fragrance ignore that! (fragrancenet.com)

I dont know where to begin when writing out a review for this bottle. Is it a potent magical opera set in the backdrop of a vanilla orange cedar forest?.... Yes. Does it last?... very much so... so much that its almost just as peneterable as my niche fragrances. Not as much as a Tauer but more than any dark Kilian fragrance and you can find this for sub 45 dollars!. Its also inbetween a linear and non linear fragrance. I know that doesnt make sense but It opens up beautifully and your so entranced in every note, but at the same time it feels like the molecules fade out and then punch back in like an LSD trip. A story indeed this perfume is. More like an invisible talking friend actually. Overall a great Perfume. Amber Fougere so one would say its a great winter/fall fragrance but I pull it out whenever cause Im in love with it. Give it a try or a sample as it's definitely worth checking out from a brand that sells on the low.

Mandarina Duck Black Extreme is a rich slightly gourmand oriental fougere. The opening is a cannon blast of citrus, pepper, and tonka. After the citrus calms down we get a sweet visit from the light florals especially the orange blossom. The orange blossom when mixed with the other elements of this composition comes off like orange blossom water, giving it a strong mediterranean vibe. The tonka in this fragrance is deep and rich and is present throughout. The scent eventually dries down to its woody vanilla base, with embers of pepper and orange twirling around it. I quite like this scent, and it was quite affordable when I purchased it. MDBE is a wonderfully rich scent that is perfect for winter and fall. It has great longevity and is suitable for any occasion. Easy on the trigger, because MDBE is BEASTLY! This scent lingers beautifully on a scarf or on clothing, giving you that extra comfort on a cold or rainy day.

MANDARINA DUCK BLACK EXTREME Where do I start with this one? I'm spoiled for choice with the amount of good things this one offers. Let's start with the smell and well the classic what does it smell like? This is the spoiled lovechild of Xerjoff's Uden and Chanel's Allure Homme Sports Eau Extreme. Spoiled because well firstly it's predecessors are extremely rich and secondly because their love child hasn't been deprived of any of those riches himself. It's a class act. It beats the two mentioned 'luxury' perfumes in performance by a HUGE distance and evokes the same 'feel good vibes' that those two to manage to do. Fruits,Tonka,Vanilla are the major factors in this feel good composition with beautiful underlying florals and spices providing this with some pristine depth. All in all Mandarina Duck Black Extreme is a classed out gent who's spoiled with luxuries but still extremely well behaved when called upon.

Very happy with this blind buy. The opening is not great... reminds me of industrial glue but the drydown is divine. After a strange opening (made me question my purchase), it eventually turned into something woody, dry, masculine. If you enjoy fragrances in the style of Boss Bottled Intense or D&G The One, you'll like this one as well. It's classy, gentleman-like. Not for clubbing, more of a date night fragrance. It's a tad sweet but you wouldn't call it gourmand. It's definitely not a freshy either. Not a great choice for hot, sticky, humid weather, probably because of the very light vanilla/Tonka base. A Fall, Spring or cooler Summer weather fragrance for sure. I think it's office-friendly if you don't overspray. Overall, after a so-so opening, the magic begins.

This is a great blind buy. I have seen it for a reasonable 50$ and I immediately had to buy it since I know it is discontinued. To me this smells very fresh citrusy with tonka and vanilla. Its has similarities to Chanel Allure Eau Extreme and Versace Eros minus the mint note with vanilla toned up. I don’t understand people who did not vote it as a summer fragrance. For me this would smell the best in summer and spring. I imagine this would layer beautifully with something like Nishane Ani to get that sweet ginger citrusy vibe. This is a solid fragrance with good longevity and fine silliage. Nathalie Lorsan never fails in creating amazing fragrances on a budget.

I really never review on here but I just got this yesterday and I'm in love! This is easily going to make my top 10 of all time, it's just the perfect balance of sweetness (not too sweet but definitely sweet enough). I can't stop smelling it! Definitely comes off as unisex, but I'll wear anything, regardless of who it's marketed to, if it smells good on me. This is easily one of my best blind buys of all times! Looking for a backup bottle right now because the place I bought it is already out of stock and I already know this one is getting some heavy wear from me!

This is expensive juice in a snapple bottle... Think a toned down mix between Eros and Alure, in my mind this is a bit like kajal homme, this has the naturals in aaall the right placeses... Oh my, iff you have a traind nose you can Instantly tell this is punching well over the price, not fake or cheap, Its smooth and more dense then say allure, dont let The bottle and price tag fool you, trust your nose Orange sparkly and soft vanilla, this cant go wrong, the hype is real 🙏

Simply amazing, and for the prize it is a bargain, if you find it, I have a 100ml and it will last forever because you need no more than maybe 2 or 3 sprays. Really well blended. This and Prada Luna Rossa Black are my most amazing discoveries for the Autumn 2021. I combine it with Chanel Allure Home Sport Eau Extreme (not layer but spray them in different parts) and I good to go, It cost me less than 40€. This is a 9/10 fragrance on my book.

I recently blind bought this fragrance after reading a few reviews and all i can say is: I LOVE IT!!! Its soft, its sweet and its smells exactly like the notes listed. Starts off a little citrusy (the pepper is pretty much non existent), then it turns flowery in a span of maybe 5 mins. And then its a vanilla and tonka bomb. Couldnt get my nose off of it. 100% blind buy approval form me and many others! Have a great day! :)

Pretty much a more refined version of the EDT. Smells a bit more mature to me (And thats fine since Im no longer in my 20s) with more sandalwood and black pepper. Projection and longevity are up but it's still not a beast. In the end I think this is the evolution of the already fantastic "regular" Black. P.S. Extremely wearable on Summer nights, just don't get crazy..

Love at first smell. Very citrus orange in the opening. The vanilla comes out fast and smooth. Smell some pepper. Very well blended. In the far dry down I get warm cookies out the oven type of feel. The dry down slightly reminds me of holloween man x. Not that it smells like coffee but has a warm cookies vanilla feel. I love it. Love the bottle as well.

I own this and Chanel Allure Sport Extreme. I don’t get their being described as identical. My wife smelled this on me and LOVED it. She said, “Wow, that is soooo sexy. That makes me want to get close and snuggle in!” Chanel is far more versatile, and can pretty much be worn anytime. This is an evening, date night, formal fragrance.

This is probably my favorite scent of all time. Idk why it go discontinued but I try and find similiar scents to it and never can. Its a beautiful fragrance. Fall/winter. I put it in that Spicebomb category of season type. Its robust, projects amazing, and was a huge complient getter when I had it.

One of my biggest mistakes in cologne history is selling this fragrance! This, Pulse Of The Night by Issey Miyake and Kensington Amber by Penhaligon's. Kensington Amber I was able to get again but for 3 times the cost. I loved this fragrance, and sold it for dumb reasons I cant recall.

One of the best Blind buys for fall/winter

Mandarina Duck Black Extreme is my first try of this house, and allegedly this entry is now discontinued. It's primarily a dark, sweet, powdery blend that is a semi-gourmand, dominated by notes of tonka, vanilla, pepper, and woods, with citrus in the opening. It's slightly provocative but does not remotely test the boundaries of standard gourmandish designer scents for men. It reminds me somewhat of Rocawear Evolution in it being a dark, overtly-synthetic but overall well done semi-gourmand fragrance. It's enjoyable and many, especially men, would no doubt find it enjoyable. Performance is decent, with significant projection for a couple of hours beyond which it gradually descends into being a skin scent. Most Mandarina Duck fragrances seem inexpensive, including the similar Black, at $20-30 for 100ml, but at potentially exorbitant discontinued pricing, Black Extreme could prove more trouble than its worth, in which case I'd just pivot to the still-cheap Evolution. And if you want to pivot to leather and oud somewhat, Bvglari Man in Black is a solid option that's comparably priced. 7 out of 10

I bought this a few years ago for my dad based on the recommendation of the sales assistant. He never wore it, so I "borrowed" it. This is definitely a cool/cold weather scent. Probably more suited for the evening too. The performance on my skin was honestly not very good. I got maybe an hour or two of projection (and that's being generous) and then it quickly became a skin scent. Other people are saying the opposite, so maybe I had a bad batch. It's a very sweet scent, probably due to the vanilla, tonka bean and sandalwood, but I didn't get much in the way of the citrus. At any rate, it was nice enough, but I didn't get much enjoyment out of it and I'll probably never buy it again. I hope for everyone else that I just got a bad batch and you've had a better experience than me.

I just got this in the mail today from Israel.....I love it. It definitely smells like the original version right off the bat, but side-by-side, this one is more refined and mysterious. It ends with a more sandalwood-vanilla woody finish as it's not quite as balmy as the original. The original is more balmy while this is more woody. Still very smooth. My girlfriend LOVES it.

Smells ok. Reminds of Armani Code Profumo, maybe the tonka bean, but not as good. Soft projection in spite of using the whole sample spray vial (1-2 ml) all over head and neck. In fairness, the sample I tried was Mandarina Duck Black, not Black Extreme. But notes are identical. Would not purchase full bottle.

This fragrance is just grape-cherry bomb, at least for me. After few hours it dries down to... vanilla scent just like Zadig & Voltaire Men Series (you can take any frag - This is Him, Just Rock... the drydown is the same). I guess this kind of vanilla is Nathalie Lorsons style.

This is Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme for the colder months. It is sweeter and definitely suits cooler weather as opposed to warm weather. If you enjoy CAHSEE then you will likely enjoy this. It is quite hard to find these days though.

Don ́t know why it ́s so hyped up. Yes it ́s a decent sweet orange and vanilla scent but nothing that special. Still have a sealed bottle in my shelf. If anyone is interested just tell me.

Just got this, great buy for the price! Performance is decent and smells good. I don't think it smells like CAHSEE at all though.

Had it's performance been upto the mark, then this would've been my perfume for life. Giving 70% vibes of Chanel Allurr Extreme

Scent 7.5/10 Duck black extreme smells okay nothing new I get like 7hrs of longevity.

Citrusy and sweet but the sweetness is cloying. Overall it's good but not that great.

I grabbed this from Fragrancebuy as soon as it was available because of it being discontinued and the praise it received from some YT reviewers. It's a good fragrance with the potential of being great. Starts off with a tart citrus but it dries down peppery on my skin. It's pleasant but it doesn't wow me. When I reach for this fragrance, I give it a sniff, and more often than not pass on it for another one. Again, not bad...just not great IMO. EDIT: I just picked up Le Male Le Parfum by Jean Paul Gaultier...that has officially replaced Black Extreme for me. It takes the same profile (fruity, spicy oriental with a woodsy dry down) and ramps up the quality. If you found Black Extreme underwhelming, go try JPG Le Male Le Parfum

I’m grateful, the Perfumer didn’t go full-throttle on the sweetness since its backed by a the heavy Coumarin. balancing aspects of Gourmand-Oriental-Fougère. ‘Off the blocks’ Black Extreme is thick (almost oily) lemony green Bergamot & sour Orange. As the citruses recede, the remnant lemony Bergamot turns cheap & screechy. The only saving grace, a beautiful Orange Flower appears, bonding well with the rising Vanillin. However, when Vanillin mixes with Coumarin, it produces a 'different' odour on my skin. In the final drydown, Black Extreme becomes a bearable spicy creamy accord of Vanilla-Sandalwood-Tonka. Sorry, I don’t get the hype on this one. To me... it smells cheap. I had my daughter smell this a few minutes after application, and she said... “It smells like an old car (freshener)”. Luckily, it does get better as it dries down... although not enough. It still smells a bit cheap... Like a fake Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme. Also... a lot of people seem to be overstating it's projection, which is moderate at best. But, it does have decent staying power. Based on the raving reviews, I almost blind bought a bottle. Glad I purchased a decant first.

Bought this because of the hype and the comparisons to Allure Eau Extreme. I found Black Extreme is a bit stuffy and lacks the freshness that Eau Extreme has, I also find it a bit less complex. Black Extreme is also decidedly more vanillc rather than creamy tonka like Eau Extreme. Black Extremes performance is superior to Chanels though, the scent lasts 8-10 hours on my skin. Overall a decent buy if you are looking for a Chanel dupe and can get it for cheap.

Black Extreme provides a pumped-up, potent take in this Eau De Parfum. Starting at the top and traveling all the way to the end of the scent, there is tonka. While it varies in presence, I pick it up throughout. I mean it could be listed here in the top, heart, and base and I'd believe it. So, if you don't care for that note, you probably want to look elsewhere. Sweet orange/citrus come to play at the beginning, but fade to the background during its life. I don't pick up very many floral notes. Perhaps some orange blossom, but the burly tonka with base notes of sandalwood and vanilla chow down on said floras because they's hungry. Speaking of the base, our star tonka stays in the game, joining with sandalwood and vanilla, providing hours of a semi-sweet woody mix. Pepper needs to be mentioned as there is a bit of spice present, but not much. While the original Black "can" be worn in the summer heat, Extreme has to hibernate in my collection until the fall. Of course, that would will vary dependent on your climate. Something that I've noticed when I do wear Extreme is the high compliment factor from women. Men: not so much, in fact none....which I'm okay with.....not that there's anything wrong with that. While I do enjoy this scent, I had no idea it would be so well received. Every time...every-time I wear this in a public area, I get complimented or asked "what I am wearing/ please write the name down". Puzzled looks then ensue as they hear "Mandarina Duck", followed by questions and answers such as: "No, it is not made by nor affiliated with Duck Dynasty. Has to be the highest amount of compliments to number of wearings fragrance in my collection. Performance is great! Finally found a newer designer Eau de Parfum release that lives up to the name. Lasts more than 10 hours and (as you can see from the previous paragraph) it gets out there. Tom Joad sums it up fairly well: "I'll be all around in the dark. I'll be everywhere. Wherever you can look". Very good projection lasts for about 6 +/- hours then starts to reign itself in.....slowly. Definitely worth checking out while prices are low/still around. I would blind buy (bearing in mind: this is heavy with tonka and the less concentrated sandalwood/vanilla/sweet orange notes). If you like Black, you should like this: same vein, different part of the body. Hopefully, they will keep this in their lineup, but as they did a poor job (if any) in marketing. Time will tell.I recommend it for adventurous, romantic and adult men who always know what they are doing .

Synthetic, sure, but not to a fault. Mandarina Duck Black Extreme was a fantastic cheapie. Fresh and sweet, but not cloyingly so. Black Extreme is predominantly a lightly powdery vanilla, freshened up by citrus with a touch of black pepper. The tangerine is the main In the vain of Chanel’s AHSEE/AHS minus the aquatic nuances. Best used in spring and fall, but can absolutely be used in summer and winter - just dial the sprays up/down accordingly. @Sam Calone I only ever sampled this, but I used to own Mandarina Duck Pure Black, and they are very similar (Black Extreme being a little denser/heavier to my nose). It might be worth picking that up as a replacement! I can’t say for sure how it performs, but the bottle I had was sufficient. Side note, I share your experience with Pulse of The Night. One of several cheaper gems that I’ve come to regret parting with - Davidoff Amber Blend and VCA Midnight and Paris being two others that immediately come to mind. They aren’t the first, and they won’t be the last lol. I’m just happy that I got to experience them.

This one I have named “Mandarina Duck Black ExtremeLY similar to the original” it shares 80-90% of its smell with the original Duck Black, it has a bit less of a powdery feel and is a bit more rounded off in the smell, but overall I wouldn’t recommend owning both, unless you’re collecting. The Extreme lasts about 2 hours longer on my skin with a tad more projection all the way through. This is the better scent of the two, but as it’s discontinued and expensive, there’s no reason to buy this unless you get an amazing deal. The scent is great and works for young as well as older people. Great for spring/fall and perhaps winter if you’re bold and spray a bit more. Works for both day and night. This btw. Is a killer for those summer night outs.

A woman's perspective: Wowza! Ohh, Babyyy! This is pure sex lol 😜. I'm super impressed with this one, although a cheapie, I'm shocked. The quality is rock solid too. This is literally near identical to CAHSEE, no doubt. The bonus is that this lasts even longer too. I blind bought this & it turned out to be my greatest blind-buy ever lol. Scent: 10/10 Price: 9/10 Performance: 8.5/10 Versatility: 8.8/10 Compliment Factor: Low☐ Medium☐ High☐ Monstrous☑ Ages: 18+ My Recommendation & Final Thoughts: Highly recommended! Even blind-buy worthy! If you like CAHSEE, you'll love this no doubt! It's almost a clone, but goes in it's own direction, it's just a tad sweeter is all. My first 10/10 fragrance rating.

I can understand why some people said this is a cheapie alternative to Chanel Allure Homme Sport Extreme but its not really there. If i may add, there is a similar line that makes Allure Homme Sport Extreme reminds us to The Armani Acqua Di Gio Profumo, even though overall both different. Mandarina Black Extreme reminds me of Paco Rabbane Prive and Noir Homme Seduction Guess due to cinnamon and aromatic accord. Its more towards evening or date occasion. And i can relate why women like it. To me, its not groundbreaking, but doesn't mean its not good. Nathalie Larson is one of my favourite master perfumer, but i prefer her other creations.

Forget about Chanel Allure Homme series. This gives you the same type of scent but with better perfomance and a more natural profile. It's actually better both in performance and smell, and it's a third of the price. Comparing it to Allure Homme Ediftion Blachne specifically it is basically the same scent but with orange instead of lemon. Oranges are of course a little sweeter and it also tones down some of that shower gel freshness that Allure has. Both these adjustments make it better in my opinion. On top of this it's also a lot stronger and doesn't require as many sprays.

Not Chanel and definitely NOT Uden! I own all three, and YES, there are similarities to both of the aforementioned frags, but by no means are you get a cheaper alternative to either. On its own, this IS a great smelling fragrance and I’m happy to have it in my collection... you will get the sweet and fruity vibes of both Chanel and Xerjoff, but this does it’s own thing. Havnt tested it much, so I’m not sure about longevity or sillage, but it has the DNA of a great compliment magnet

I owned this but wasn't anything special. So I sold it. It's the same concept as Chanel eau extreme except that one is better this one is more sweeter and you would have a hard time pulling this one off in warmer temperatures. If I remember performance was pretty good. 3-4 hours of nice projection. Lasted about 12 hours on skin longer on clothing. Never really gave it a chance but didn't blow me away. CHASEE on the other hand....I fricken love that scent.

I acquired this in a trade recently and man am I happy with this addition. It's gorgeous. It's similar to Allure Extreme but even better. It has more depth, more complex. It actually could fool a lot of the fragrance snobs on here into thinking it's niche if the smelled it blindly. Gonna put this away for now and save it for Fall. Looking forward to rocking this one during the cold Canadian winter. Guys this is cheap as chips at discounters, snap it up.

Its better quality and more potent than Chanel Allure eau extreme, but the Allure eau extreme is blended better. Black extreme smells good, except for the flowery florals (Tiare) that are noticeable that kept me from actually buying a bottle, but for some reason it gets compliments. So Allure extreme wins as far as the blend. Black extreme wins as far as the potency/concentration

I must have a bad bottle. To sum it up: Undefined and Stuffy. Undefined - I can't identify any notes. Nothing pops. Stuffy - It feels like a cloying cloud. Really disappointed because the reviews on here are so positive. Hey, if you want to down-vote me, go right ahead. But this is an honest review after 4 all-day wearings.

I’m sorry but how can anyone say this is beastly? This is weak to moderate at best. It lasts on clothes maybe 5hrs but with very weak projection. I want to believe that I got a bad batch because otherwise I’d start doubting every review I read honestly. It smells really good tbh. But it just doesn’t project at all
